First one didn't matter much anyway, because Warner was out soon after. There were other two when spinners were bowling both from Travis Head, one from Kuldeep in his 22th over and another from Jadeja in 24th, you can watch highlights too.

Regarding KL Rahul, he seemed under pressure, during batting and during keeping as well.

KL Rahul's form was one of the negatives for the Indian team throughout the tournament. I am not sure when Rishabh Pant will be back in action. As soon as Rishabh is able to join the team, Rahul needs to be kicked out. In case Rishabh's recovery takes another 5-6 months, then the Indian selectors need to look at other options. And Sanju Samson is not a suitable replacement. A lot of chances were given to him, and he wasted each of them. KS Bharat or Anuj Rawat maybe a better replacement for KL Rahul at this point, in my opinion.

Throughout tournament? He made fastest Indian hundred, and in one games he had good judgement about caught behind where other mates were unsure of, took DRS and he was right. In keeping he was excellent too (except Finale), several great catches.

Thank you @Gladitorcomeback for organising such a fun contest in this forum. Manually calculating everything correctly most of the time by yourself and a couple of others along with free entry to the pool is applause worthy.

I had fun experimenting with different kinds of predictions and I do hope there are more of these cricket related contests within this forum in the future.

Thanks for appreciation, Manually doing for first time is little bit hard but after some times it's looking so easy. You are part of early supporter but unfortunately your One time prediction was not enough correct to qualify for atleast top 10. I hope ,In future we will manage new contest and I would be happy to see all previous member there.

1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Breaking the Internet Again! on: November 21, 2023, 01:41:02 AM
I don't vibe airdrop, they are just impressing the chain and marketing the chain to people to buy the coin(Solana), the moment the event end, the will sell off the coin and airdrop tokens and investors will be left with nothing. Check Bonk, the market cap and the traded volume, you will see that airdrop tokens all have similar pattern, at first they get hype up and in the end they remain flacid like weak tissues.

Instead of buying Solana in anticipation of been selected, why not use the money to buy other coins, remember that their is going to be a lot of farmers that will use bot to get the tokens any how and the chance of you getting the token might even reduce when they use anti bots to weed out other people, be careful of airdrops my friend.

Pyth's was restrospective airdrop, if you got it, you got it. You didn't have to do anything. Also, I don't think this airdrop has got to do something with promoting solana, it's just token built on solana.

Sol getting to $100k is inevitable if this airdrop keeps coming like this

$SOL is about $60 right now, you want $100k!??? If airdrops were to pump coin, ethereum would have already reached $100k.

Or you could have made typo.

Lmoreover there are other airdrops like jupiter if im not mistaken that still a rumour but definitely gonna be making an airdrop in my opinion.

Jupiter is confirmed, but it's simple airdrop with every wallet that interacted with it is eligible, so might not be worth as good but who knows.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pyth network retrospective airdrop eligibility checker live on: November 21, 2023, 01:05:41 AM
I checked again and claimed today, I have been allocated more pyth than before the increase.

I have being trying to access the airdrop page but keep getting this Error 451: unavailable for legal Reasons but my country is not part of the countries excluded from the list.

Use vpn? I see many people giving up claiming airdrops because their countries were excluded. I don't think dapps can know through wallet address where is it's creator from. So yea, use vpn.

Thinking that coin will keep going up is the biggest bull run traps I have seen so far, despite being aware of it I keep holding lol. This time I have done preparation to sell. I MUST!
Is that really a trap? That the coins will keep going up…
I don’t have that impression but even if I could, what are the chances that you could have edged against that to save profit by withdrawals or swapping for a stable coin?

Yea well, that's what I plan to do this time.

Quote
All of these come at some risk as firstly, stablecoins aren’t exactly trusted neither is having your coins (Bitcoin) in huge amounts on exchanges and to archive these, you need your coin on an exchange which is very much centralized.

I have got hardware wallet, I hold my stuff there, I don't hold on exchanges.

Quote
You could just hold and keep holding no matter the market condition.

That works with BTC and may be few more prominents cryptos such as Ether, I would not recommends forever holding alts.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 21, 2023, 12:41:34 AM
Tomorrow alone can be said to be India's bad luck as multiple missed catches at slip and inviting India to bat after winning the toss can be considered as secondary reasons for India's defeat. Yesterday took a lot of ball turn in the first innings but in the second innings the ball did not slow down due to the extra duty. Here Australia got an added advantage and Australia's Travis Head's missed catch was one of the main reasons behind India's defeat. However, the Indian supporters were completely deprived of the joy of this title.
India didn't actually miss the catch yesterday but first the ball was boundary between the two slip fielders and the fielders had nothing to do because the ball was out of bounds before the fielders knew anything. Despite not missing a catch, KL Rahul had some poor wicket-keeping yesterday and failed to capture several balls with the gloves. After winning the World Cup, the Australian captain said in the press conference that the toss was a very important thing for them because they knew that this wicket would be a bit first at night and it would be a bit easier to bat on this wicket at night. Australia wanted to bat in the second innings and they batted in the second innings. Australia beat India yesterday for two players who were not supposed to be in this World Cup tournament. A win like this will undoubtedly be one to remember for Australia at the end of the year.

First one didn't matter much anyway, because Warner was out soon after. There were other two when spinners were bowling both from Travis Head, one from Kuldeep in his 22th over and another from Jadeja in 24th, you can watch highlights too.

@Gladitorcomeback, Is this the score tie at number 3 and 4 or just decided as 3 and 4. I see the numbers are same but not highlighted so I am not sure I made it to top 3 or not. One time prediction made hell a lot of difference at the end and I am really depressed right now after watching the whole tournaments that India is favorite to win this trophy but again Aussies nailed us in the coffins as they said.

I assume it is so because prior to last game I had better position in ranking. Check here.

You should go to Google for things that can be already found there, and become professional yourself too  Tongue

I'd personally suggest Reddit, just add Reddit to whatever term you wanna know meaning of. In my experience, individuals usually explain better than websites/blogs.

The toss was an important factor, if and only if India had won the toss the outcome would be different yesterday. Next year we will be watching the T20WC and I hope India wins under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya.

During toss Rohit was asked what would have he chose if he had won the toss and he replied to bat first. So, I mean result would have been still the same even if India had won the toss.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 20, 2023, 06:18:12 AM
Having slip for spinners would have changed the game, two catches were in vain because there were no sIip and that too they were of Travis Head who was match winner of game.

In one of prior games, Wattson during commentory said that if someone will defeat India this world cup it'll be Aussies, I didn't believe him at that time but it turns out true.

Hope odi format stays, it's just as entertaining.

Now, it's time to enjoy memes.

Rohit played well, Virat scored 3 boundaries in one over then shreyas comes scores a boundary and out, then we see the test game. There might be fair advantage of pitch, but I don't think it was big deal as everyone making it out to be.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 20, 2023, 06:12:05 AM
240 was a decent total, but in the end, it was never going to be enough. I appreciate KL Rahul and Virat Kohli for stabilizing the innings. But at least in the case of KL Rahul, he wasted too many deliveries in doing so. They could have at least rotated the strike. Virat Kohli was far better and ended up with a strike rate of 86 (compared to just 61 for Rahul). Another player who disappointed the Indian fans was Suryakumar Yadav. If he can't handle pressure situations such as this one, then I don't know why he is in the team.

Surya was sheer disappointment, if he had played, India would have made 270 despite Rahul's test inning. At times like yesterday, you miss Yuvraj, MSD and Hardik Pandya. Even, Ashwin at place of him would have done a better job.

Aussies were not giving him pace yet he keeps trying for those 360 shots (or whatever they are called), Cummins must have done good research, or may be success makes it seem so.

If a player cannot get out and the fielder misses the catch, the player must roar. That's what happened in Head's case because if he was out at that time, Australia would have been under a lot of pressure. But tomorrow's winning player Head has the biggest role to play in Australia's win. Labuschagne and Head's strong duo led Australia to victory. And the performance of the Australian team is much better in the moment of pressure in the final match. Although the performance of the Indian team was always good but the last moment came to the final match where the worst performance was due to which the Indian team had to lose.

I'd agree, India choked big yesterday (and they have been choking since last many icc tourneys). They took wrong decisions due to pressure and also affected their performance (KL's was obvious in keeper and fielders seemed to altogether giving up in fielding, it was not on-par with Australian fielders).

With 240 target they could still win the game, but they just gave up, they had some motivation with early wickets but again gave up soon after.
1236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk forum a home of solution on: November 20, 2023, 05:17:50 AM
You are right but some problems can not be solved. The problems are not solved because it is beyond what can be solved. Example is someone that send bitcoin to a wrong address and the transaction has been confirmed. If the transaction has been confirmed, the transaction can not be reversed and the money is just lost. But if the issue can be solved, Bitcointalk members always have clue to the solution. I love being on this forum.

Often knowing what's the problem is itself a solution. Let's take on from your given example, if person sends a Bitcoin to wrong address and wonders if he can recover from his mistake? — he don't know so he has asked a question but when he's given answer that, "no you can't" — that will end his dillema and will itself be a solution.
1237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 20, 2023, 05:01:38 AM
If transaction is not urgent, wait until fees go down, or make a transaction at fees you like and wait. Just about a week ago I made BTC transaction at about $2 fees, it took night to complete but it went through, that's all I cared.

If it's urgent, probably the best idea is to bite the bullet.
1238  Other / Meta / Re: Is this quality of life idea? on: November 20, 2023, 04:59:32 AM
I don't like the idea of the forum linking to an outside source, and in that way signaling to the user to go and visit that website. Instead, we could think of a way to display price information right here on the forum. I am not a coder, so I don't know what is possible with the current forum software.

@PowerGlove please chip in. Could the forum display current BTC price when you swipe the mouse cursor over a word that contains a unique piece of code? As an example, we can use the proposed $BTC. Is that or something similar doable?

It will always be necessary to use an external API for the price to be displayed.
Either way, I don't think a mouse-over system or specific code should be used for the post. The price of bitcoin is constantly changing, so if something exists it must be dynamic.

Well, ofc it should be dynamic, otherwise what's the use.

Anyway, I have vague idea about dev stuff, but javaScript could be used for such stuff right?

Quote
What could happen was in the forum header, for example next to the date/time, the bitcoin price would also appear. That would be more interesting.

That's not what I mean, proposed idea is more like, if user writes $btc or any other alt ticker, hovering over it would display that coin's price, hovering over is taken from comments here, it's better than click.

1239  Local / India / Re: ICC World Cup 2023 - India discussion on: November 20, 2023, 04:05:24 AM
So we have India losing final. This match was similar to India's early game vs England where also our batting failed (except couple players) and India made 229, there bowlers saved the day, here they couldn't.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Critique {ODI World Cup 2023 Prediction Pool🏆} & Discussion Thread on: November 20, 2023, 03:56:24 AM
It's really tough moments for every Indian because they deserve to be this World cup winner because from start till now they delivered phenomenal much more then everyone expections, but like we all Asian has history to choked against big team in world cup last stage and same things Carrey on by India this time which is in my view very disappointing, just like I mentioned before that India hasn't add enough runs on score board to defend they are stil 80 to 100 runs shorter which can definitely done by Sharma and gill.if they played sensibly and carefully but unfortunately they don't and also bowler put huge on Australian in starting overs but later they give them room and time to settle which cost them a defeating partnership. Anyway it's part of the game and I am sure if you guys bring back Virat back as a captain then he will make difference.

I think it was all fine, I had bit expectation from Surya and Jadeja, they completely failed, what's with Surya to give strike to bowlers? I don't get it. Did he not have other shots to play except going for 360? Even Kuldeep Yadav was getting ball better on bat than him.

Social media people are blaming Kl Rahul for his test like knock, but imo it was his inning that helped India make even 240.

Rohit should have kept slip for spinners, 2 dropped chances of having Travis early due to not having any. This match was about wickets, so he should have taken his chances. Also, Travis was having trouble with pacers in start of game, pacers should have continued.

I have lot of what ifs, but they can't change what happened, and all this only because they lost the game, a win would have covered all their faults.
