1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Update on my hardware store which accepts Bitcoin on: March 10, 2022, 04:06:09 AM
Op have done a contribution to the bitcoin community. A small sapling turns out as a big tree. What OP have done is like the sapling, we need to have patience. Surely in the long run more people will start making payments in terms of bitcoin. Maybe for now there is no big awareness about bitcoin in your locality. Same as his contribution every small store owners should have positive opinion on bitcoin. Such a decision will make a big impact on the market.

I request OP to post a pic of his store mentioning bitcoin accepted.
1463  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 09, 2022, 11:59:31 PM
The market price of Bitcoin have bounced good. The positive news from the war between Ukraine and Russia seems the reason for the sudden recovery of the price. Ukraine have announced that we won't join NATO and announced that they're ready for talks. Once after this incident, the price of bitcoin grew from the range around $38k and crossed $40k. Once again it tested the major resistance area and trades around $42000. Maybe if there happens more positive news we can see regular rise than decline in the market.
1464  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia has attacked nuclear power plant in Ukraine on: March 09, 2022, 12:40:56 PM
Already the war by the order of Putin is brutal and unjustified. Once again Putin won't go for a nuclear war, but people are worried on the threatening from Putin launching a nuclear attack. Before the invasion Russia have tested nuclear capable missiles. Putin mentioned that Russia remains one of the powerful nuclear states and countries favouring Ukraine will face the consequences. In such a way Russia with the nuclear power in hands show them powerful to the world.

The nuclear power station in Ukraine have been attacked, but that hasn't caused a big destruction and there is no official information from Ukraine regarding disaster due to the attack.

Calvin Ridley, popular receiver for the Atlanta Falcons have been suspended from the entire 2022 season for gambling on NFL games. Previously the league last suspended a player for gambling in 2019. Josh Shaw, a cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, placed a bet against his team while he was sitting out on injured reserve. He was suspended for the entire 2020 season and was reinstated by the league last year. Following the suspension of Calvin Ridley there were more memes around.

1466  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is a part of war now, like it or not on: March 09, 2022, 04:51:33 AM
Crypto War doesn't suits, because Crypto is having its role and this is getting done without flaws. Through this war the real purpose for which Satoshi innovated the technology have got fulfilled. Individuals and organisations that are always thinking about the negative part of cryptocurrencies have known about its positive side.

After various sanctions on Russia, it is possible to make use of cryptocurrency just because of the decentralised system. Now countries are urging bitcoin exchanges to block cryptocurrency usage by Russians.
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 09, 2022, 04:18:40 AM
Elizabeth Warren, democrat of Massachusetts have written a letter to Janet Yellen, the Treasury Secretary under Biden. Now everyone want to make the sanctions effective as Russia tries to use cryptocurrency as a tool. Majority of the members are under Biden administration haven't made it a big proposal, because they're sure that Russia can't overcome the imposed sanctions with cryptocurrency.

Quote
The letter explains:

Strong enforcement of sanctions compliance in the cryptocurrency industry is critical given that digital assets, which allow entities to bypass the traditional financial system, may increasingly be used as a tool for sanctions evasion.

1468  Economy / Economics / Re: Master card, Paypal, America express suspending services to Russians on: March 08, 2022, 11:59:18 PM
It looks like Putin making plans to take control over the World, but things rivetted back. These large scale firms closing businesses on Russia greatly affects the common people and not Putin. Countries have begun to help Ukraine on humanitarian reasons, but there were no talks about Russia. To settle down it takes time, as more sanctions were imposed over Russia. What UNIQLO have done is something necessary for now. However without transaction support how things gonna workout even when stores open for business.
1469  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: March 08, 2022, 11:34:09 PM
No one wants war other than few people, and this time it has been taking place between Russia and Ukraine. Through this war only good that has happened is the people's realisation about having bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Along with this, it has provided good visibility to bitcoin.

The war sanctions over Russia led to the increased usage of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies during the first week of the war. The same pushed the market high when the world market is experiencing decline. I don't expect the market to turn bullish or bearish, but I believe governments will get interested in hodling cryptocurrency as emergency reserve fund.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.com.au in probelms for unwanted gambling advertising on: March 08, 2022, 11:03:25 PM
We don't know whether the sportsbet.com.au did with intention or by mistake, but now they'll realise a small mistake can cause a big loss. As it is a big firm operating in Australia it needs to know about the policies and should have everything developed accordingly. From a common view point it looks like a simple thing that is being taken to the court, but not having an unsubscribe tab is a big flaw. Anyhow the court have given the judgement and we can't make discussion on it. Hope such mistakes won't happen in again. Luckiest is the users who lost bets landing through the e-mail advertisement.
1471  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 08, 2022, 10:26:34 PM
There were 5 potential bidders for the Chelsea club. Among them are the Todd Boehly, Woody Johnson with Donald Trump, Vivek Ranadive and the Ricketts family. Everyone have got different stories relative to the club. Woody Johnson is a big fan of Chelsea club that drives him go for the bid. It is said that Abramovich doing it at the wrong time and could sell it within ten days.

WHO WILL BUY CHELSEA?
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 08, 2022, 09:37:20 PM

All that said, Muralitharan had a huge impact outside cricket. He was the binding force in a country where half a million people lost their lives in ethnic and religious conflict. And if I am not wrong, he remains as the only Tamil Hindu to appear for Sri Lanka in international cricket (although they are 15% of the population, the team is mostly comprised of other ethnic groups).

I only knew that he is from Tamil Nadu, region where Tamil's are fighting against the central government. Never knew that he is only Tamil and Hindu player to be part of SL national squad. Thanks for sharing this valuable insight.
Rather than Tamils fighting against Central government, it is much about the Tamil Eezham issue where thousands were killed. There was plans of making Muralidharan's life as a movie and were on talks with a Tamil movie actor named Vijay Sethupathi, but this created controversy as he have spoken against Tamils and his movie shouldn't be made.

The actor decided to play Sri lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralidharan in his biographical picture, a huge controversy took place among the Tamil speaking audience. Many who believed that Muttiah Muralidharan supported Srilankan government regarding the “Eezham” attack, demanded Vijay Sethupathi not to act in the film. As a result of the severe outrage that emerged against him, Vijay Sethupathi decided not to act in the film

1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: March 08, 2022, 06:58:35 PM
The situation with Bitcoin prices is pretty much unpredictable with such fluctuations that have been going on in the market.
but There is no doubt that cryptocurrency has been fast emerging as one of the smartest investments that one can make.

Yes, Bitcoin volatility is what makes its investment interesting and risky at the same time but once one can take the risk just like El Salvador have done first El Salvador legalized Bitcoin and thereafter building a gigantic project such as the Bitcoin city, this is a good long term investment project, once the activities in the Bitcoin city fully kicks up it will generate high income to the government and also provide a lot of jobs opportunities for El Salvador citizens.
There is big risk with bitcoin out of the volatility. However El Salvador have prepared to face any sort of risks. The Bitcoin City is an attractive project that many countries planned, but weren't able to implement it for different reasons. The major reason being the governance, lack of control and fear of market volatility. This project is aimed at attracting foreign investment into El Salvador, and this is going to be a big success and the same makes El Salvador to be the fintech centre for the world.
1474  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: March 07, 2022, 11:59:42 PM
The market isn't easy predictable. Today the market tested $40k resistance, but wasn't able to move forward. On retesting the resistance barrier it has fallen down to $39k. Now trading at $38k. This time the FED meeting scheduled for the upcoming week is connected with market decline. Along with this the proposal for the travel rule to keep track of the every transaction amounting €1000+ in cryto also a reason for the price to step down to $40k.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic effects after Russia blocks Facebook, Twitter, etc.! on: March 07, 2022, 11:58:46 PM
Upwork and a few other freelance platforms announced today that they will ban Russians. So banning of Facebook is gonna be one of the last problems for Russian workers. If sanctions will keep mounting, Russia will be as isolated as Iran and NK, so fleeing will be the only hope for ordinary Russians to experience the pre-war life.
Apart from these platforms tiktok have stopped its services in Russia. More sanctions keeps counting. Russia needs to make some fast moves against the sanctions if not the sufferers will be the citizens and not Putin. He has got good wealth to enjoy his lifetime. Anyhow the good thing, in war people are helping each other in some way. This time much seen with the polish, Hungarian, slovakian people.
1476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: March 07, 2022, 11:54:51 PM
Due to the war between Ukraine and Russia there is unexpected moves in the market. Initially it dropped and suddenly it bounced as more people started to consider it the save haven against the inflated fiat. Further the acceptance of donation in terms of bitcoin, ethereum and USDT from Ukraine gave it more visibility. At the beginning days more volume were recorded with the bitcoin against the ruble. Later the market have been moving downwards gradually as the war heat increases. For some time period this will be the scenario of bitcoin price.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 06, 2022, 11:59:21 PM
Nine teams competed for a share of a 1 million Emirati dirham prize pool. Finally Boom eSports won the Gamers Galaxy Championship. Tundra turned to be the runner up. It was a close match with a agression from Tundra at the beginning and the same is taken credit by the Boom eSports at the end. Also from the beginning of the championship there is no prediction about Boom eSports winning it against the European based teams. Now Philippines based Boom eSports have made the prediction wrong. Earlier Boom lost to Tundra in the first stage which is also a reason for massive support for Tundra.

~
Here on this thread we are supposed to discuss cricket and players not there personal lives. We need to focus on what Shane Warne did on cricket pitch rather outside the ground.
He didn't played T20I otherwise his magic would have been seen there as well. Just see his magic in this short video https://youtu.be/L3ZY8947wEg
Shane Warne spun his magic in T20 especially in the IPL during the first edition where he was the captain of Rajasthan Royals who were having a really young team who does not have any experience and Shane Warne took that team to victory and showcased his skills as a captain and how to motivate the youngsters to produce the best performance from them. He really was an underrated captain and never had the opportunity to lead Australia.
His cricketing career have supported the Australia team win several matches. Particularly he have won more critical matches for Australia with his magical spin bowling which has never been possible by any of the players. His death was unexpected and  the Australian government is good enough to given him the proper respect.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 05, 2022, 12:46:43 AM

I always heard a story that the Germans told Adolf Hitler that cricket is an interesting game and he should check it out. He went to see a cricket match and it was a test match. He sat and watched for quite a few minutes and then asked how long it was going to take and the answer was 5 days. He immediately banned cricket in his region because it was so time-consuming. I don't know if this story is true or not but at the moment I think someone like him was needed to teach ICC a lesson  Grin.

Anyway, I think ok ICC is not going to expand cricket to the whole world intentionally and that's why a lot of bull shit rules are going to exist forever in cricket.
That might be a true story, because people find it weird to watch a game taking place for 5 days. For cricket fans this is interesting to watch, but not the others. Recently Germany cricket team is into the T20 qualifier. It has got placed on the last position of the group. This is early stage for Germany, and the team players were the immigrants from India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. So, this team might develop themselves good in the future.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 04, 2022, 11:51:27 PM
Mike Tyson words: "I don't think I'd ever just do stuff like that anymore. I wanted to do it the first time just for fun, just to have fun. Then some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it."

It seems that health is more important to him than money, and even though I wish we could see Iron Mike in the ring, I'm glad he makes very rational and wise decisions.

It's not his health but it's clear he doesn't want to be the reason or be an advantage for some entertainers out there to have a good profit in return.

If this fight happened, Logan Paul will have easy money out of his fun because he will be dragged by the name of Mike Tyson. In today's generation, there are always people who want to watch Mike Tyson again as they never have had a chance to witness his greatness before.

Since that's the situation, expect that his exhibition match will gather a lot of viewers making their fight a big profitable event.
Yes, everyone who watched his fights were eager to watch him live fighting again, but this isn't gonna happen. Op needs to change the polling subject, whether the match will be conducted or not. Even without anything happening, just with the mentioning of Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson he's earning big. Everything is watched with the business perspective and that's where Logan have chosen Mike Tyson as it'll reach big user community.
