1481  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 04, 2022, 10:49:40 PM
That's a big list, and I've played in very few of this. I remember the games played on Bitstarz. Other than this maybe I've used it, but doesn't remember. This is business for them, just on boycotting these sites the Russian government or Putin isn't gonna face difficulty in life. It is the common man behind the functioning of these sites will experience the difficulty. Some has suggested of different platforms to boycott as below.

a casino located in Russia and operated by Russians
a casino operated by non-Russians, just registered in Russia
a casino that uses Russian servers, but is not located nor operated by Russians
a casino that is operated by Russians living abroad, registered and taxed outside Russia

This too isn't a fair way, because people doesn't want war. Only the government is in need of it.
1482  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 04, 2022, 09:50:26 PM
-snip-
Yes.

Some on-chain gaming using smart contracts doesn't have a license but they still can run, the other user also verified the provably fair. They also can make some bounty for experience users to check their provably fair, is really fair or not.

Sometimes some casino with license is acting like a d**k while we win a lot.
Even the trusted gambling platforms used to involve in such act when the user experience a big win. Other important things most required were the security, provably fair, KYC norms. Money plays big role because of the increased competence as more number of casinos are existing regularly. If there is no big competence slowly the platform can progress with small bank roll.
1483  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Role of sports in politics on: March 04, 2022, 08:59:01 PM
As it turned out, not only cryptocurrencies are involved in politics, the true value of which is decentralization, but also sports. Such harsh sanctions against Russian athletes have never been seen in the history of sports and many consider this decision unfair.

I feel very sorry for the Russian Paralympians, who obviously do not have the ability to influence political life in Russia.
Sports authorities this time made an immediate plans and executed the same in no time. Russian players unable to participate in any of the sports activities is a big decision. It is unfair, because out of 100 sportsman maybe 5-10 support war. Majority doesn't want war. Yesterday in a tennis match in Dubai once after the game the player wrote "no war please" on the camera lens which has got shared worldwide. Another thing there arises a question why this isn't be done on Israel during the war.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Bitcoin Family on: March 02, 2022, 11:46:56 PM

Most of the users here could've known about this person Didi Taihuttu, father and husband of the bitcoin family. Didi Taihuttu went all-in on Bitcoin in 2016 when there is not much of attention towards cryptocurrency. He sold his and his family’s possessions, and camped in the Netherlands refugees campaign. In an interview he mentioned

Quote
“I don’t have any cars, motorbikes, nothing. And I’m happier than ever. And she [Taihuttu's wife] agrees! At that moment, we decide to break that chain and lead by example for the kids.”

Life is about accumulating happiness, “instead of accumulating wealth.” Hence, the Bitcoin Family was born. The three daughters “only have Bitcoin, not bank accounts,” while the parents have never looked back on their former lives.

This is something big to be done during those days. He have done it with such a courage and now he is successful out of the same. The true value of holding and believing in bitcoin can be understood through his life.

He have lived the bitcoin lifestyle. Living only with bitcoin isn't an easy thing and he have done it when there is not much of acceptance along with his wife and three daughters. He mentions it as something a nomadic style living. Taihuttu cites “six families” who have since sold all their possessions to enjoy the Bitcoin lifestyle.

What a man, the family have been doing charity with the 40% made through his cryptocurrency trading, affiliates and all other sources. Initially they've built a school in Mexico, an orphanage in Venezuela. Life changing moments through bitcoin. There is risk, but there is life and Didi Taihuttu and his family have proven it to the world.

1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: March 02, 2022, 11:02:42 PM
I believe Bitcoin this year can enter the $25k area, lower as you can imagine, lately a lot of phenomena have happened especially in the crypto market and the economic situation, from the speculation I see to enter the $25k area is quite large, maybe we need some time to wait for that to happen.
Expect the both sides of the best and worst.

The price that tank as low as even under $20k is possible as what the predictions say from everyone because of the cycle. Everyone remembers the cycle of 2017 and 2018.

And we may come into that position as 2021 as the year of the bull run just after the halving and then 2022 is the year of the bearish season. But things have probably changed this time, 2020 was the start of the bull run and as well as the halving. We will see at the end of this year if it's going to be a 2-year bull run.

Every market have got its moves happening over a cyclic process. Cryptocurrency market too does the same, but it highly unpredictable against the traditional market. For now two year of bull run is possible, because the market move much depends on the adoption.

Over the months there is good adoption of bitcoin even when the surrounding market isn't that supportive. Price around $30k will be reached over the time, but it will recover in the short term as the moves will be happening out of fluctuation and not out of trend change.
1486  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 02, 2022, 10:36:18 PM
It was in the news yesterday that FIFA and UEFA has together suspended Russian Football teams and clubs indefinitely.
It was said that all the teams that were supposed to play against Russia in their forth coming friendlies and world cup qualifiers vowed to boycott the match, so at the end, FIFA and UEFA had no choice but the suspend Russia from all international matches.

Russia in response to the suspension has come out to say that the suspension is discriminatory.

What do you guys think of this development? How will this affect the players and athletes as well as workers in/for the team, how about the forth coming world cup?
Russia had advanced to the second round of qualifiers and they were supposed to play against Poland on March 24, however due to the suspension not only they will be unable to play but it seems Poland is going to move automatically to the Final of Path B to dispute a ticket to the world cup, it is unfortunate that something like this is happening but I think we all knew it was coming, in the sport world Russia had been sanctioned several times already, and now with the invasion of Ukraine it seems many sport federations simply decided it was too much and took measures against Russia.
Earlier Poland announced that it won't play against Russia for the invasion it has done on Ukraine. By the time it seemed like an easy go for Russia to enter the final of B. Now the official announcement have made Poland get into the final. Russia shouldn't have done this. To build a nation it requires years and years. Now the sufferings were to the citizens, think of this players. With big dreams they might've given the best, but in the middle everything got vanished. Then to play the same series, they don't know when this gonna happen.
1487  Economy / Economics / Re: China says it will trade normally with Russia on: March 02, 2022, 09:32:24 PM
Putin is one of the smartest presidents in my opinion because no matter how their economic condition is sanctioned by the world, they will still survive because Europe's oil supply is 40% supported by Russia.  How can a decision that Europe has taken not be so fatal to Russia?  That's because Russia's preparations to face this condition have actually been able to bear the existing burden.  Assess the effect of the United Nations on the country of influence.
Putin isn't the smartest. If he's smart enough, then he might've made other plans to restrict Ukraine, but what he did all of the sudden is the reality of his smartness. European nations were much dependent on Russia, now closing the doors will cause European countries a big blow. Always there will be neighbouring countries. So the oil and gas deal will happen through a third country that acquires and sells back to European nations.
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2022, 05:14:18 PM
We can't get into conclusion on the time period to invest into bitcoin. The recent price crash and the bounce back is the real example for each and every cryptocurrency users. The price fell all of the sudden when Russia got into Ukraine, but the very next day price increased gradually and within two days there is drastic change in the price from $34500 to $44000+

When the price dropped people found this to be an opportunity to invest, but the price fall connected to the war made panic among the users. If someone had bought the dip now profit is confirmed.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 02, 2022, 03:52:09 AM
Indian team is facing some turbulence after Virat Kohli was kicked out for nepotism and favoritism. The entire team is divided in to two camps - one supporting Kohli and the other that doesn't. The Kohli camp is trying hard to protect the players in their camp. For example, Hardik Pandya was persisted in the team for many years despite not performing up to the mark. Players like Venkatesh Iyer, drafted in as the replacement for Hardik are not given enough chances to showcase their skills. All this is having an impact on the performance.
Rather than nepotism and favouritism, the team is full of politics. This is common with Indian team, earlier it was with Dhoni. In particular how this politics is being made is from the senior players. The senior players used to give pressure to the board that one player from their association must be there in the team. This means from Mumbai Cricket Association there needs to be a player, whether he performs or not is secondary. This is how the board seems to operate.
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 02, 2022, 03:09:40 AM
This has been into discussion for long years. In between eBay didn't take any measures to accept bitcoin into the business. Some traders of eBay were accepting bitcoin as payments. Now eBay adding direct payment features with bitcoin will be more interesting. Since 2014 there used to be talks and announcements, but this time everything is happening in the fast phase and a timeline is being mentioned. This assured something good is gonna happen relative with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 01, 2022, 10:46:17 PM
Our news cannot be trusted 100%, because I also received information that FIFA does not interfere in European politics, which means Russia is not boycotted by FIFA and is allowed to participate like other countries.
However, if Russia is really boycotted by FIFA, this will be an injustice to Russia and other countries such as Palestine.

So far I have read that only Russia has been officially banned by FIFA. Maybe this is an official article from FIFA that you can read.
https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022/media-releases/fifa-uefa-suspend-russian-clubs-and-national-teams-from-all-competitions

If that's the case, I, as an observer, disagree as well. If you look at the Israeli military aggression they are not prohibited. If you look at this issue it looks like FIFA being a non-neutral institution they have double rules that make them a sports institution that can have a bad reputation with this decision.
In the last14 years Russia breached Olympic Truce thrice. Russia invaded Georgia during 2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing. End of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, and now it's the third time.

National Olympic Committee Urges Sports Bodies
Same as this Russia might've got into more such activities against the rules of FIFA. Till date it has breached the rules of Olympics and that's the reason of taking away Russia from Olympics. Today it is announced that Belarus too no more into Olympics. I'm not sure of it, or else this might be a plan to make way to end the war. In one way it looks like a double rule, because during those wars FIFA should've taken some actions.
1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: March 01, 2022, 10:03:19 PM
We all know that central banks can freeze fiat funds, yet it appears that even they are not immune from it in centralized systems.
U.S. escalates sanctions with a freeze on Russian central bank assets.

Quote
The Treasury Department on Monday moved to further cut off Russia from the global economy, announcing that it would immobilize Russian central bank assets that are held in the United States and impose sanctions on the Russian Direct Investment Fund, a sovereign wealth fund that is run by a close ally of President Vladimir V. Putin.

All possible ways are getting closed. Even the card transactions were closed. Now this doesn't allow Russians to convert their fiat to cryptocurrency. The scenario becomes worse. This leaves Russia unable to access the War Chest of more than $640 billion. As the banks were cut-off, the Russians were the sufferers to recover the economy against the sanctions. As a result the interest rates were raised to 20% which is the highest in two decades. The decision of Putin makes the life worse for the citizens who doesn't want a war on Ukraine.
1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Fails ? on: March 01, 2022, 08:50:34 PM
I Think bitcoin can't fall because it's already succeed. If bitcoin will falls then we will go back old version. Bitcoin long term survive cryptocurrency and most valuable coin. Most countries didn’t accepted bitcoin and bitcoin transaction but people still using bitcoin so i think bitcoin will be more survive in future.
Yeah, it’s already succeeded, but it is also up to all of us to keep it that way. We should all make sure that we do the right thing. And how are we going to do the right thing? By making that we secure every space and not give them (the government) any chance to penetrate. The way I see it, Bitcoin is not going to fail, even the government knows that there is no way they will be able to stop Bitcoin, so what they are trying to do now is to adopt it and regulate. Because they know that even if they decide to ban, it doesn’t stop people from making use of it through peer to peer.
It shouldn't be allowed to take control by the governments, and how this can be made possible. Only by the spread of bitcoin among the common people than getting accumulated within few. If a country like USA or some other country get into the usage of bitcoin, automatically they'll try to accumulate majority of the mined coins. In that situation bitcoin can be easily manipulated and this makes bitcoin loss its key element of decentralised functioning. Hope such scenario won't happen.
1495  Economy / Economics / Re: Can current sanctions Ruble inflation stop Russia? on: February 28, 2022, 11:49:21 PM
With 2% of the global population Russia holds 12-14% of the total cryptocurrency in circulation. This is huge and this means one out of ten bitcoin is owned by Russians. There is continued sanctions from the Western Nations, but Russia is looking for the other way. With the ongoing scenario Russia isn't able to accumulate bitcoin. If this holding goes something above 20% this will turn to be a national security issue. To withstand the situation more ways have been worked out to stop ruble inflation, but looks like nothing gives hand.
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To what extent are Russians capable of storing their riches in Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2022, 11:04:27 PM
This seems worrying, and a build-up to the pressure on Russian Citizens as a by-product of Putting’s appalling actions. Even though there is nothing tangible yet on the table as far as I’m aware, a week ago Arefiev, vice-chairman of the Duma’s committee on economic policy, stated that the bank deposits in people’s accounts could be seized, if all Russian funds abroad were to be blocked.

These declarations were made a week ago, during the build-up to the current situation, and therefore prior to the set of sanctions that have started being rolled-out.

It would be interesting to get some intake here from Russian natives as to the seriousness of the possibility coming true rather swiftly, and whether the general population is acting upon these declarations in some way to try to place their assets somewhere save.

See:

What they can do is to convert some of their cash to crypto while they can.
And transfer it to their own wallet like electrum and other non-custodial wallets where you have the full control of your assets.
At least, you are securing some of your funds where the government can't easily seize from your end.
And then, when all things are settled, and you know the situation is already safe, you can slowly convert your crypto to your fiat.
I believe, some Russian crypto users are already doing this as we speak or even before this catastrophe.
Sending fiat money outside I think, is hard now from their end.
More number of Russians were interested in converting their fiat holding to crypto, but they are not having much access as the days before the war. This is a difficulty that the Russians were experiencing now. If they've got cryptocurrency and are moving to another crypto it is possible, but to make a purchase with the fiat in the bank or from other sources it is a difficult task.

Right now with the limited services available the people need to find ways converting fiat to crypto. If people start to spend cryptocurrency and finds increase in the acceptance on needs then automatically there'll be circulation of cryptocurrency that fulfill the conversion of fiat to bitcoin.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 28, 2022, 10:55:52 PM
I was expecting to see more responsible batting from the top-order batsmen. On the fifth day, the New Zealand players do not seem to be able to survive at the crease. South Africa will win this match.
Agreed. This is a great comeback by South Africa after their dreadful defeat in the first test which seemed more like a T-20 match. Couple of newcomers in the SA team impressed me with their performances in this match.

New Zealand will most probably lose their remaining wickets quickly which would cause this test series to end as a draw.
That is a very big score to be defeated. In the first innings New Zealand made an unexpected comeback and now in the second innings South Africa have done the same. If New Zealand is able to give the same performance as the first innings this match will end as a draw, but this time the chance seems to be low. For now New Zealand is in good position even though it had lost 4 wickets. It needs to withstand another 79 overs to draw the match.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 27, 2022, 11:11:45 PM
Faze won 3-0, clear result. They played great in important moments and didn't give any chance to G2. Not only Karrigan carried them again, but ropz and Twistzz put their everything. It was an emotional moment for Karrigan after the celebration. They failed in 2017 and 2018 but this time they made it. Faze Clan is the new IEM Katowice champion.
G2 started good, but the end gave Faze a clean 3-0 win. It was a big slip for G2 missing the win after a great comeback. This was the first time in IEM Katowice a North American and Australian player had ever won an Intel Extreme Masters championship. From Twitter, G2 have planned to remove Manek as coach and replace him with XTQZZZ.
1499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: February 27, 2022, 09:24:47 PM
Considering the current events in Ukraine and the open aggression from Russia, what are your thoughts on the collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms in support of Ukraine?

We know that 1xBET and 1xBit are owned by Russians. Do you know any more? Could we make a list of all Russian-owned casinos?

I'd love to support an initiative to help Ukraine! I think it would be great if we all raised our voices together and supported it.

If we plan to boycott everything out of Russia, then it'll surely make some impact on Russia's economy. Same time we need to think, afterall these are all businesses owned by Russians. Only a small population of Russians are into making war whereas the majority are against the war and are protesting against the government. So, what we do could affect everyone for the mistake from a small group.

Yup, what a legend.
This could be phrased as "the Return of the King"

Nadal is definitely back on track showing consistent form and set to continue.
6-4 6-4 against Norrie, thats not a bad result for Norrie no disrespect to him, It almost
looks like Nadal is being efficient with his energy and minimising the risk of injury
by doing just enough to win.
What we see is the difference in the experience. Considering the experience of Rafael Nadal what Cameron Norrie have got is small. The result is not bad for Norrie, and throughout the tournament Norrie played the best to reach the final. What he said after the winning is something interesting, I've won against the fittest player of the tournament. Importantly he has won every tournament titles he competed in 2020.
