1601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Bitcoin price do you think altseason will start? on: November 15, 2021, 10:09:44 PM
At times there happens massive bitcoin sell off in exchange for altcoins. So, it is quite tricky to mention the price around which the altseason begin. With bitcoin the market trend varies all of the sudden, and right now the market is with fluctuation but no big money is getting moved towards altcoins. Whales try to manipulate the market and by the time we can experience some crash happening around and bullish trend with altcoins.
1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Religion and Finance [Bitcoin] Overlap and Clash on: November 15, 2021, 09:50:47 PM
Religion is the belief and worship of some superhuman controlling power. It is the faith of people. If one believes in it, then there is nothing to overlap and clash with the values provided by the religion. As of now everything is connected with religious morals. What for this is done, I'm not sure about it. In Christianity some find religion spreading as a profession. With Muslims I haven't come across such act, yet this news shows that it also tries to rule its people through religion.
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 15, 2021, 09:24:08 PM
Apple CEO Tim Cook have invested on cryptocurrency. He has disclosed it in a recorded interview. He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. Majority of the huge company CEO's own crypto. This is a big thing and an indication of growth of cryptocurrency network.

Source : The Verge

This is going to get more and more interesting when other industries make their move into crypto and the users of their tech follow them.
All it takes is a reputable person to get into something and others below him to follow him.
Do you people find this to be more interesting and a big news in the market. I don't think it so, and I find this to be a news that is common. In my view Tim Cook could've invested on cryptocurrency long back itself. Now only he had got an opportunity to reveal to the outer world, as well as there is more legal support for bitcoin than the past.
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: November 15, 2021, 06:18:21 PM
I have all of these coins:

ETH 40%
CARDANO 20%
POKALDOT 20%
TERRA LUNA 5%
THETA 15%
Avax: 10%

Are my coins going to last is it likely?

I am pretty confident that ETH, ADA and DOT will last for more than five years. Since your 80% of your portfolio consists of these coins, you are good to go. Not sure if Luna, theta or Avax will have the same hype as they have now a days.

I hope other than these altcoins, you should have bitcoin with you. Ignoring bitcoin and making a portfolio with all altcoins is not a wise act.
Well said, 80% of the portfolio into the leading cryptocurrency ETH, ADA and DOT make the portfolio strong. When we think about next five years of growth progress there is nothing to worry about the rest of the holdings. Luna have already survived 3years, so this isn't gonna fall than progress with fluctuation. The latest being the AVAX which has come to the market an year ago, still the growth wouldn't have happened if there is no development. Continued development is the key factor for growth.
1605  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible market crash in the near future? on: November 15, 2021, 06:00:51 PM
There are (as of  now) 14029 cryptocurrencies listed in coinmarketcap.com.
A case has been made (repeatedly) for  the existence of a bubble in the cryptocurrency market.
Yeah, I understand cryptocurrencies are volatile, high risk investments. But, are you guys expecting a market crash anytime soon?
Im always anticipating for some market crash because this situation is something inevitable or couldnt really be stopped nor get rid of it but it depends on how people do about in the market.

If we are seeing some strong good support then its less likely to happen but what if big investors/whales/institutions sell in one go? For sure we would really be seeing a big long red candle stick in the chart.

Why im not worried? I had already secured out my profits when we did hit up all time highs and reserve out some funds for those kind of situations might happen.
Most of the large scale holders were the one who anticipate market crash. Small holders always look for bullish trend to continue. We're nearing the year-end which can make the market bullish or go downwards. Here short term traders were the one who get affected more, and the whales benefits out of all events. Most of the users have recorded their profits by now. Now everyone will be on the urge of making a new buy or sell depending on the market than accumulation.
1606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: November 13, 2021, 11:56:05 PM
This has happened almost two months back, and the new comers have already recorded their profits. Now its there time to decide whether to take the profit out or keep on adding more to the investment. Op have done a good job helping at the right time. Possibly now they could've understood about the market, and now let them to experience trading with small fund or else for every decision they might depend OP. At times even our prediction will go wrong.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 13, 2021, 11:41:13 PM
Credit cards were a money making tool in the banking industry. I don't say it never helps, the credit card have served to be life saving for many people. Same time it also have got more flaws on the interest. At times even the people who doesn't want one were also forced to take a Card and they start using it unwanted. Later this itself turns to be a headache for them.

It is a way to trigger the common people to spend money.
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that are very down now that may pump? on: November 13, 2021, 11:21:46 PM
In specific I find tron to be the coin that is undervalued. I'm not sure whether it'll get pumped, but it is an opportunity to buy low. Next is the casper, when it got listed for trading it was trading around $1 and now it is around $0.12 which is a potential project with good volume.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is BNB going!!! on: November 13, 2021, 05:40:55 PM
Binance coin at the moment is quite strong and looks like following the market trend of bitcoin. BNB reaching a new ATH will happen anytime, because earlier when BNB marked its ath reaching $50 the entire cryptocurrency market was bearish and BNB is bullish. Once ethereum had a big market as more projects gets developed over the ethereum platform. Now more projects have moved towards Binance Chain, which also boosts the market for Binance coin. There is more chance of reaching $1000 by the falling year.
1610  Economy / Economics / Re: Firefighters pension fund invests 25$ million in crypto on: November 12, 2021, 09:25:02 PM
Even though Bitcoin might be regarded as a high risk investment, it is good for these pension funds to take some risk for possible high returns. The 0,5% investment of the total Pension fund is hardly a drop in a ocean ...so a total collapse in Bitcoin will not even hurt it.

The $25 000 000 investment can be one of their best decisions in a couple of years... or it can go to zero. (I have seen 800% profits on my Bitcoin investments, so I am very happy with my decision)  Wink
this is a pretty good thing even if it's just a drop from the ocean as you say.
on the other hand to be 0 I think it's very impossible to happen but seeing you have made such a big profit is one of the most extraordinary achievements and I am also motivated by what you do with such profits.
Of course this requires a long process and time, but I will not skip this process because it is with a process like this that makes us have a good achievement.
In crypto, if you don't take the risk, then you will never experience the profits you're always dreaming of. But the firefighters might be so brave and even fearless that they are taking such risk with a very huge amount of funds. If bitcoin price will bloom in the future, then all of them will be possible future billionaires in the making. However, if the value ends up very low which i think will always be possible with such a volatile coin, then they should start accepting the fact that they have made a very bad decision once in their life.
This isn't gonna be their bad decision of life even if there is massive drop out of market volatility. The organization will experience loss only if they're in need of the fund immediately or within specific time frame. If the fund is an investment to make profit without time deadline, then the firefighters have done the right thing at the right time. Because they should have the ability to hold until the market turns bullish.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: November 12, 2021, 08:37:44 PM
Whenever there is growth with bitcoin surely there'll be growth with altcoins following it. As a result we've been experiencing good rise in the market of bitcoin along with the top altcoins of the market. The bullish trend of bitcoin takes a break and altcoins will show bullish movement then onwards.

According to my understanding the end month of every year there is good growth with bitcoin. This time too the same can happen, following the growth the market will stabilized and investors focus on altcoins. This will make altcoins grow high. Taking it into consideration right now it looks like the time for altcoin investment.
1612  Other / Off-topic / Re: New billionaire BITCOIN : 1000 BITCOIN! Holder is the Winner on: November 12, 2021, 07:37:04 PM
No one is sure whether the provided information is true. As in the above quote if you can afford a bitcoin by now you might get into the history after five years, because by that time the entire bitcoin will be mined. During 2026 there'll be very limited number of people holding a complete bitcoin. So, being one among them in the entire population will make you unique. If not the better choice is to invest on some low price potential altcoins and hold for years. If lucky after five years you might encounter such a scenario of using more number of exchanges.

1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 08, 2021, 11:49:01 PM
I was expecting that they will be giving chances to youngsters but it was really surprising for me that they were having only one change today (Only Deepak Chahar got chance). It was expected to have multiple changes in both bowling and batting order and some people predicted like Rohit to lead the pointless match but India played like they are still in competition.
It is not a big surprise that we did not see any major changes in the team even though it was a meaningless one, the sole reason is the backlash they will get back home for not getting qualified and they need to play and satisfy the fans that the two looses were just bad luck and they played the last three matches as champions but they did that against lower level competition and these performances is more than enough to satisfy their die hard fans  Cheesy.

~
This combination might be exciting in management levels but India is already got lots of talents but for example, in this worldcup also only their toss and luck factors played the spoiler role. So, I guess Dravid and Dhoni got no big tasks ahead.
Toss was one of the factor for their loss but team selection is another major factor and lack of  match experience as a team before the T20 World Cup. Pakistan played as a team and they are the only undefeated team in the tournament.

Very well played team India. They have shown incredible improvement at the time of their exit. If they had played better in their opening matches then the situation would have been completely different. I understand there were certain factors involved like the toss but the biggest factor that led to this situation was the overconfidence of the Indian team.
Agreed, over confidence is the big mistake that Indian team had. During the days before the match of India majority of the media took this into discussion. The headlines were something as will Pakistan withstand the performance of India. This hype given by media too is a reason for having over confidence.

West Indies in the past have faced similar situation in 1983 world cup finals against India. The score was just 183 which was is reachable, but the over confidence made them loss the match scoring 140. By that time West Indies is the top team.

1617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia took third place in the world in bitcoin mining on: October 14, 2021, 07:08:42 PM
Well, I would have never guessed that...... Russia have had a real "on" and "off" relationship with Bitcoin over the years... with the different sections in government contradicting each other.  Roll Eyes

Vladimir Putin (President of Russia) was very interested in the things that Vitalik Buterin (Canadian-Russian programmer) was doing with Ethereum.... so I guess it is not a big surprise.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-10-14/putin-defends-cryptocurrencies-amid-global-regulation-push
Yes, in the interview to CNBC Vladimir Putin mentioned cryptocurrency can be used as payment gateway as well as on cross border transaction. In one side the cryptocurrency transactions were into restriction by respective authorities. On the other side a positive statement from Vladimir Putin make the market get pushed forward.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 13, 2021, 06:22:29 PM
What is happening with Kolkata Knight Riders, i thought they would win the match easily and now they are loosing wickets and now Delhi Capitals is having the upper hand and they are really struggling to score singles which is stupidity and now they need 6 runs from the last 3 balls and if Delhi Capitals wins the match, then there is nothing much to say as Kolkata Knight Riders messed up completely.
Edit: Another wicket, this is a complete turnaround in the match which i never expected.
For a while I thought this game is preplanned. Only 13 runs were needed from last 4 overs and they had 8 wickets in hand. But they played 23 balls to make that 13 runs and lost 5 more wickets. KKR had easy winning situation but they made the game complicated. I won again today by placing a bet on KKR. I am planning to place my bet on CSK in the final match.
Sometimes it looks like a fixed match, but the end result gives a clear understanding. In this season few matches looked like completely fixed matches. Few matches that I felt as fixed are the match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Another one Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both matches looked like a game in which Mumbai is near to reach the top 4 on the points table.
1619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bitcoin going to burst anytime soon on: October 13, 2021, 04:46:48 PM
There'll be difference of opinion between the cryptocurrency analysts, bankers, stock market advisors. It is our responsibility to do our research, and invest than getting suggestions. If you find it isn't right then just move on. Recently I heard an interview from a stock market advisor. He mentioned Bitcoin will burst in no time, so don't invest in it. For the same comments flew mentioning he doesn't want the common man to be rich.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 13, 2021, 03:42:58 PM
Virat Kohli has played well last month but the only regret is that no one has scored well except him. However, when Virat Kohli retires, he may relax and play well. Virat Kohli was in very good form before he got the captaincy. After taking over the captaincy, the performance gradually decreased.
This is nothing new with RCB just check their history they have this issue for very long time mostly they were star-studded team but never have results which was expected from them. ABD, Maxwell and Kohli these can destroy any bowling line up, but strangely they fail to give required results in this season IPL. But, now Kohli is already step down from captaincy, let's wait how they perform in next season because this is going to be good chance for them. It's also good for Kohli as now he can play freely for his team.
Today's qualifier must be another exciting match and I have already placed my bets on KKR due to their spin attack. But for final on Friday, I may stay without betting on any team as high voltage matches may swing to any any team.

RCB hasn't won the trophy in 14 years and that is a matter of shame because every season they have the most stacked batting lineup in the league. Kohli stepping down from captaincy could be a good decision for both him and the team as the team can now have a new captain and Kohli can now play a bit more pressure-free and tension-free. In this match even I'm supporting KKR. Shakib and Narine have been phenomenal for them recently. If I'm not wrong, last match Narine took 4 wickets and gave only 21 runs. Shakib has also played well by being very economical.
This match has turned towards KKR, because the target looks like a reachable score for them. Delhi Capitals would've started the innings with power, but they planned for slow scoring and hard hitting after 10 overs. The bowling of KKR has made them not go upon the plan. Some KKR have restricted DC at 135/5
