1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: February 26, 2022, 09:28:48 PM
Have you heard that Poland is not going to fly to Russia (due to the war) and play a play-off? Moreover, they do not demand anything, they agree to a technical defeat 3-0, just not to play with Russia. Radical decision. I wonder how FIFA will resolve this situation, it seems to me that this is a big scandal even considering external circumstances.

It is indeed a scandal. In light of their invasion of Ukraine, Poland's national federation has decided that they will not play a World Cup qualifier against Russia. Football is not supposed to interfere with politics, and vice versa. Therefore, it is good news for Russia that they will qualify for the world cup if they get 3 points.
I find this a good decision from Poland. We think sports shouldn't be interfered by politics. In reality sports is part of the politics. Whether they play or not is secondary. IOC have begun to discuss on immediate plans on the invasion. Firstly Russia breached the Olympic Truce, four days after the closing ceremony of Winter Games.

In the last14 years Russia breached Olympic Truce thrice. Russia invaded Georgia during 2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing. End of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, and now it's the third time.

1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You Must be Over 18 years on: February 26, 2022, 08:28:19 PM
Educating students through the curriculum not to get into gambling below the age of 18 years might help in decreasing the number of young people below 18 getting into gambling. The user needs to understand and make decisions whether to enter gambling or not. While getting into gambling he/she should study the consequences, as well as inform it with parents. Because this can keep them within control than spending limitless and making parents worried.

VP always were kings on mirage but Im remembering the wrong team of course  Embarrassed   Shame about ancient, I figure thats just a newer map that perhaps mean upset to the natural order we might see on the older maps, today VP couldn't make that true.
Im seeing that Gambit result from the top team and wondering if Navi might also falter vs G2 now.  I think 3 maps is more then fair as a bet and maybe G2 could take this, Navi are undoubtedly hurt by a constant stream of bad news.
Heroic and Faze both have good match history now, Faze only losing to Navi over 3 maps and Heroic beating top teams.   Should be a good struggle, I wont pick a winner just try 3 maps.

It is very difficult to decide in both semi-finals, it is very difficult to decide, in this case, I did not decide. It will be really enjoyable to watch M0nesy and S1mple face off in the NAVI-G2 match. I can easily say that the G2 is now a more competitive competitor against Navi. While things are going badly in Navide, G2 has a bit of a chance, it can actually go over three games.
As said G2 had the upper hand with higher chance and it perfectly used it. In the Semi final G2 has won Natus Vincere. G2 seems to be in tension at some points. This looks like they have felt like playing against the World No.1 team. After securing 2nd position in PGL Major Stockholm 2021, this is the time G2 entering the grand final defeating Natus Vincere.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on: February 26, 2022, 06:27:27 PM
Through this the true meaning of bitcoin is being understood by the people. I'm not into the discussion whether this address is legitimate, if this is being verified then it is good that cryptocurrency played its role in serving people than humanity. Even yesterday when I was into a discussion about cryptocurrency he mentioned don't you have anything else to talk. All of the sudden such a statement gave me pain as I wasn't expecting it. Today the world will talk about it. Hope this small donations will feed the people in need.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 26, 2022, 05:29:14 PM

And another thing is Bangladesh has much more global exposure than Afghanistan. Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman has played League cricket all around the world. From there they have achieved so much experience. And also the facility of Bangladesh cricket is far better than Afghanistan in my opinion.
Bangladesh is much experienced compared to Afghanistan. In specific it has got experience playing against top teams, which  have given the players more tricks and techniques to handle situations. Afghanistan cricket needs more support, and Bangladesh team is in a better position as mentioned.

In Afghanistan, there are a lot of problems. The country itself is in a rebuilding state at the moment. This team is still quite good and just needs a few Good batsmen to play for the team. After that, if the dream is properly nurtured I think the team is going to be one of the best in the world.
Even with lots of internal problems within the country Afghanistan is trying to do the best. In the ODI series they've done better than before, and possibly Afghanistan will mark its win on the T20 cricket.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 25, 2022, 11:21:47 PM
Yes, it is a good stat for South Africa thanks to the top 3 batters they have scored 238 for the lost of 3 wickets. Van de dussen and Bhavuma are batting at the moment. If these guys lose their wicket then it will be a struggle for the South African batters. I am expecting a score of more than 300 runs by the end of day one.
On day 1 stump, South Africa are 238 for loss of 3 wickets. So far all batsmen have scored runs not just one men i.e. Sarel Erwee who scored century. South Africa recently have beaten India team during there home test series but lost miserably in the first game and they have made promising start of this game. South Africa must try to score over 350 runs as NZ have strong batting line up.

After a humiliating defeat in the first Test, an innings and 276 runs, South Africa's return today was truly remarkable. With just 3 wickets in hand, they are able to score 238 runs. If they are able to collect 150-200 runs tomorrow, it will be difficult for New Zealand to win this match, despite their strong batting lineup. However, I do not think that New Zealand will lose this match, maybe New Zealand will win or the match will be a draw.
If South Africa continue its performance in this manner, then this is going to be the match of South Africa. It is the same pattern as the previous series against India. The first match was a defeat and came so strong in the second mtcch and this let South Africa win the series. This time the match is going to be a win for South Africa and end the series drawn.
1507  Economy / Speculation / Re: ₿ not going below 40.000 (probably) on: February 24, 2022, 01:03:28 AM
Bitcoin price has surged in the past week from a price range of $38k to $45k. However, this price did not last long, even now the bitcoin price has dropped back to the $38k range. I thought maybe the bitcoin price would fall back below $35k.
At the moment the market isn't stable and it needs good momentum to push it above $40k. Somehow bitcoin took a fast move and broke $39k range but it wasn't able to move the same way. The price failed to break the $39250 barrier and now trading down to $37k. This is a big time for traders, because the volatility has made a massive difference in the price in short time. Precise prediction will let the user buy low and sell high.
1508  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Institutional investors changing the Bitcoin price behaviour? on: February 24, 2022, 12:26:58 AM
Manipulation - that is definitely a risk for bitcoin and the crypto space.  Not necessarily institutional investors like MicroStrategy, Tesla, ....  but also possibly an association, rapidly changing price behavior is also part of the reason for this.

I wonder if we are going to see higher manipulation than whatever we are feeling already about it but whales only do what is needful for their business and smaller buyers or individuals have to follow them by the chart. If you notice a huge buy in the chart that means to expect more buy and price will appreciate and that follows down too. I don't think institutional buyers are going to be a problem with the bitcoin behavior.
At the same time it is also to be noted that these large scale institutional investors serve as influencers in adoption of bitcoin. More the usage more will be the growth. When some institutional investor makes his entry it is also a kind of accumulation. When more such investors combine together the holding will form a large percentage of the total supply. This lets them manipulate the market to some extent and that is reason it how at times the price behaviour is being changed, but this don't make a big impact as people are well aware of such activities.
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with tax and crypto ban on: February 23, 2022, 06:22:20 PM
But I heard that many people from that country are happy because they said that the tax is better than the ban. Because majority of them are either software developers or other freelancers and they do not invest from their own pocket. They do work for other and they get 70% for themselves and 30% is given to the government in tax. It is my Idea and if this is the case then I think they are still in benefit.

Making it legal is an advantage to holders but hell no, 30% is too much, maybe my environment is making me hard to digest and accept that figure because I can't pay $30,000 as a tax from $100,000 profits, that's too big.

I've read several tax recommendations and a particular one from coingecko[1] on how US citizen pay their crypto taxes, but I've yet to see someone who pays 30% tax from their crypto wages.
You will have to pay tax for investing in cryptocurrency when you sell them, and there are other ways to pay tax when you are involved in cryptos, such as selling free coins you receive via fork coins, defi, and staking, and receiving a gift in the form of crypto when it is greater than the sum of $15,000.

[1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsUqtiOPLA4

i can agree that 30% is too much for crypto tax. but that is, if you will declare all your earnings in crypto. lol when it comes to crypto, you can always keep some of your funds without the government knowing it. remember, you are in crypto. but if you are very honest, you will just comply and pay those high taxes. look for deductions of your tax, sometimes there are some inclusions on how to lessen your tax for certain incomes.
Its an offence, if you are hiding your earnings and paying less taxes to the government, but you can avoid it by doing p2p transactions which may fall under other categories since you can report the earnings into something else.
Finally the earnings will be summed up. Maybe for the earning made out of p2p will have lower tax percentage. In my country taxes are being paid according to the income that is being slabbed into categories. The lowest earning pay 5% of the income, then it gradually increases upto 30% and here people can submit expenses documents to reduce the tax to be paid. As in the above quote taxation of 30% in specific for cryptocurrency is something big and it is hard to keep track of users trading amounts and profits.
1510  Economy / Economics / Re: People over 65 having most of wealth in US on: February 23, 2022, 05:32:43 PM
People over the age of 65 accounts for 76 percent of all wealth in the United States.

Consider where the crypto markets will be when the younger generations that have grown up with cryptocurrency reach the age of this group...
for crypto investors to hit this statistic of United States it will require a high level of investment discipline high enough to hold even in the midst of heavy dips. Not every crypto investor will hit that  statistic of wealth accumulators except for investors with diversified portfolio and those who also invest in solution solving innovations and not just crypto alone because crypto only covers a fraction of the world economy still not enough to affect the economy
Crypto market contributes a very small fraction of the world economy. In the US 76% of wealth is with the people above 65 years of age. Among that what will be the percentage of people to hold cryptocurrencies, maybe a 30% and here the wealth out of cash is being taken into calculation. If cryptocurrency wealth is also calculated there won't be big variation. This means crypto market is now connected, but isn't prepared enough to contribute to the economy. With time we can experience difference.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: February 23, 2022, 04:57:40 PM
these kids are probably born different, it's really impressive to see 16 years old people becoming grandmaster at such an young age
kudos to them

In his interview to a news paper he said he was completely drained and was in the urge to sleep, but everything happened something as a miracle. With that one of his dream have come to reality. Maybe these kids are born different, but the way he grew up is a like a common Indian citizen. If this is some other game, now he could've been Known to the world. The game got over days back and now only slowly the world is getting to know about the 16 year old kid Praggnanandhaa.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: February 23, 2022, 04:28:36 PM
The most important thing for which criminals prefer cash on top of cryptocurrency is to make the funds legitimate. For some time period they'll be criminals, and rest of the time these people will be into different kinds of legitimate businesses. This gives them ease of investing and withdraw it as legitimate money. The same isn't possible with cryptocurrencies.

Most of the cyber criminals prefer cryptocurrency as there is no intermediaries. Because, if there is some intermediary the funds can be frozen. Even with cryptocurrency these days it is possible to track the stolen funds. Recently the bitfinex thieves were arrested in similar case after years.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be accepted for tax payments in Colorado on: February 23, 2022, 03:20:24 PM
It seems that many countries are looking at and making new rules about taxes, Bitcoin seems the best solution to start receiving new taxes, one of which is what Colorado wants to do, I think that in the next 3-5 years 70% of the countries in the world will receive tax payments using crypto, especially Bitcoin, if we see every day there are countries implementing tax rules with Bitcoin.

I wonder, if all countries accept tax payments with Bitcoin, can the price be higher than ATH has ever been or Bitcoin will have a stable price crypto fate.....!
More countries are into taxation of bitcoin. As it is possible to make anonymous transaction governments find it difficult to tax people in a precise manner. Anyhow with technology countries will make the best to tax cryptocurrency users. Same time it makes people into some fear, because we don't know what range countries are gonna tax the users. If things happen same as the taxation from India, it'll surely be a big problem.
1514  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin likely won't recover until 2025 on: February 22, 2022, 11:57:21 PM
One month ago,the Bitcoin price dropped to 34K USD and everyone was waiting for a 30K or 20K price bottom, stating that the recovery will be slow and a new ATH won't happen in 2023.
During February, the Bitcoin price went from 34K to 44K USD and everyone forgot about the doom&gloom predictions. Many people were expecting a bull run to 50K USD.
Now,the Bitcoin price is going down, all financial markets are going down due to the political situation.
The bears are dominating the market, predicting a new ATH in 2025.
In summary, don't trust anyone.Every opinion about the BTC price is just a price speculation.
The market will bounce back and further it can drop down. This is the common pattern with every market. Just a month back we're speculating in a similar way about the price drop nearing $30k, but the bounce back happened in a much shorter time than expected. Once again the price crash have been taking place with intermittent recovery. The price that reached $36500 have now crossed $38500. The market is speculative and it reacts. It is our responsibility to stay safe without making our own choice.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 22, 2022, 11:15:34 PM
Gamblers their choice. Everyone comes into gambling with different motives so respecting their choice is best be it for fun or for the money it's a personal decision because if it turns out negative the bear the consequences alone and if it's positive many will want to associate with the wins so it's a choice
Gambling is purely the choice of the gambler and we should not make conclusion on the decision. However if there is no money in the process of gambling, then there is no fun. Money is the one that brings fun as well as the disappointment, frustration and other mental issues. From the very early days of life existence there is gambling. Those in the beginning days were of fun, but now this isn't anymore the truth. Maybe there are exceptions which is very low in number.
1516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: February 22, 2022, 10:48:33 PM
Several reasons gets associated as a reason for the market crash. This isn't a big market crash, because it drops and recovers. China have come up with new regulations which caused the mining equipments to be dumped by the investors. This is also said as a reason for the drop. The war is related as a reason, and with this people started taking the profit to keep the portfolio strong against the market drop. Even though war isn't a reason it further acts as a prime factor in some way.
1517  Economy / Economics / Re: Top Five Crypto BillionairesOf Today! on: February 22, 2022, 10:27:01 PM
You do not need to included Satoshi Nakamoto, we do not know if it is a man, woman or group, His/her/their blockchain invention and anonymity is the superiority, far superior than to be wealthy. Satoshi Nakamoto do not deserves that second position, he/she/they deserve better because he/she/they did what others listed did not do which is the invention of completely digital decentralized currency.
Agreed, Satoshi is the innovator. If this invention hasn't been made, these people can't get into this list. Other than that it is informative to know about the top billionaires from cryptocurrency. Maybe OP can have a seperate thread briefing about the innovators. In that list Satoshi can be added, then Vitalik, and more other inspiring people can be added. I'm quite surprised that Vitalik isn't there in the top list.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2022, 10:00:41 PM
The Indian T20 side has advanced its rank following a 3-0 series sweep against West Indies. India is now ranked first in the ICC men's T20I rankings. In t20 format, the West Indies usually do better, so it was surprising to see them lost the series 3-0. Rohit Sharma's captaincy deserves special mention. T20 cricket is dominated by India, while Australia won a World Cup and ranked sixth.
Now Team India has fair chance to stay at top for some long time under new leadership of Rohit Sharma because they have very good record in bilateral series and after beating now Sri Lanka is next in line for some good entertainment and points for staying at top because they already return from Australia with 4 - 1 lose and have no chance for any upset because they are missing few good players after few legendary players gone in history books they are facing some serious problems and have no solid back up which is big concern for them even their domestic set up is also not helping them for having some good players but in India now their next generation is in for taking charge and staying at top.

India is now at the top of the ICC Men's Twenty20 rankings after a 3-0 series win over the West Indies. At the same time, the rank of the Indian T20 team has improved.

But I think India could have easily won the series by playing on their field. It is true that Rohit Sharma's captaincy and his performance deserve special mention. Their opening batsman Ishan Kisan is playing very well in this T20 series so they won the match easily, thus the West Indies are on the way to defeat. Their line of command was not very good. I think they could have done better if they had bowled a little better with batting.
Rohit Sharma's captaincy is good along with his performance. You can see this during the match, most of the time the decisions, fielding plans will be discussed along with the team particularly with Kohli and changes were done. This is a kind of good attitude and the combined effort used to give best results. This time it was the second match which was supposed to be a winning match for West Indies. In my view West Indies is good, but they need to train players to understand the match situation and play accordingly.
1519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: February 21, 2022, 11:59:38 PM
Everyone is expecting bitcoin to get to $50000 again, but I am thinking this is not possible for now, I know the price will increase above $50000 but I think it is not now. But what I am mostly thinking about right now is that will $40000 be a support for bitcoin or will the price still decrease further again making it to touch $30000.
(........)
I like your numbers but those numbers for me are psychological support and resistance for a very long time, since last year.
So for me, if you can see Bitcoin is having a really hard time staying above $40,000 and that's why every time it tries to break $40,000 and fails, huge dumps are happening.

Usually those are the whole numbers support and resistance level. If we didn't get past that price, definitely it will have to go down. So again, at the start of the week, the price didn't hold up although there are several attempts in the 4 hour time frame to break $40k, but there was not enough push and now we go down to $38k very quick.
Several times the market tried to break $40000, bit it wasn't able to last long. This has made the price around $38500 to be the mid range resistance. Today this has got broken and it retested it. Failing to reach the mark, now it has been moving around $37500. Maybe further it can test again to go above $38500. Failing to reach will result in touching $35000.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 21, 2022, 11:34:24 PM
Trust is a big word. If you are playing those games at those reputable sites already, then assume that everything is fair.
Trust is indeed a big word on which as a user you would really be needing to trust up a particular platform on which you do make out some deposits and just part of self awareness and common sense you would choose up on whats the current best platform or site to have on which you do play specially with live games even though it isn't proven its provably fair but with having that current reputation that it
has then you would definitely say that you could trust this one out.

Based from the poll, gamblers here are not trusting this kind of live games. And yet, many gamblers are playing this game. So if you don't trust this game, why are you playing?  Tongue So yes, for me, if you have doubt about the provable fairness of the game, better choose a trustworthy casino. At least, they are tested with a lot of players and if they are running shady operations, it will be expose by users.
When you find something shady make a research and reveal it to the people. Through this thread more users who have used these kind of games now think of the past spending. It is a good work, and it is always good to move away from such platforms than spending.

We've got more number of trusted platforms with provably fair working. Even with those platforms there were bugs that doesn't work fair. Further after reporting this has been solved. So, having an error is different than the entire system being an error. With these games the entire system is an error.
