1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 15, 2017, 03:57:17 AM
Such a premium on coinnest for MCO. As of right now, low $14usd on Binance and $16.80 on Coinnest.

If you're a member of both exchanges, you could possibly make some money just buying from one, and selling on the other.

Great list of mining pools. Surprised to see umine with still the highest hashrate, given they aren't listed anymore and concerns (rightly or wrongly) about their operation. Does look like no pool has more than 50 per cent of the hashrate, which is definitely a positive. Hopefully some of the smaller pools continue to get some more hashrate coming their way - but overall the split isn't 'that' bad.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ethereum will hit $1,000? on: December 14, 2017, 03:48:55 AM
There is no substantial reason I can see as to why it should keep increasing at 15-20 per cent per day.

I mean, I don't 'play' it, and crypto kitty is cute, but I don't see why that should increase the price by that much. In 2018 we'll see lots of other games jump on the bandwagon, and possibly on other blockchains (which may be able to handle the load better), so wouldn't be betting on crypto kitty to keep the trend going! But Crypto puppies anyone?
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 14, 2017, 03:17:01 AM
you should make your nodes available for casual people who dont know linux. easy to run on windows.

I can't think of any nodes that are currently able to be run on windows, or at least not easily, which is why I asked if this was possible earlier.

My guess from the developer's perspective is that the nodes are primarily there to secure the system, with the payments there as more of an incentive. Given there are enough nodes running on linux, there won't be so much of a focus on creating 'windows friendly non-tech person' node/guide, since the primary function is to secure the system, not create additional payment streams for people who would otherwise mainly be miners.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gtx 1070, what coin(s) do you guys mine at this very moment? on: December 14, 2017, 03:07:07 AM
Hello,

I notice that bluwark price is falling down. It is not more profitable.
Could anyone suggest a other profitable coin for GTX 1070.

Thank you.

Just because the price of the coin is dropping doesn't mean it's not profitable.  Right now it's difficulty is not that bad and you could probably mine a couple a day with your setup.  That's about 8-10 dollars a day.  That's not that bad.  When the difficulty is low that's when to get your coins.  The price can always change.

Yeah this - if your setup is 4 GTX 1070's you can do pretty well on bulwark. The Nist5 algo isn't on whattomine, which is why it won't pop up there, but you can get an idea of what you'll mine here. bulwarkcalc.online

A gtx 1070 will get about 40 hash on the nist5 algo if you set power draw to around 70 per cent, so use that in the calculator.

But if you're after an easy bet, you could seriously just stick with Eth at current prices. That'll get about $10 a day if current difficulty holds and price holds.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 14, 2017, 01:49:07 AM
Rajraving, I hope you are right again Cheesy . But what will be the reason for monaco to keep his asscendig even after the annoucement on 14.12. Huh There is a posibility of a dump after the annoucement?? For now his growth is very  stable.
I hope there is no dump after the announcement, so that this project can show the quality. I still keep this coin for long term and hope one day the price can stable above $50  Grin

Nope, it wont bcos TRX also is being listed in CoinNest and it just reached USD1B cap from almost usd150M 2 weeks ago.
MCO gonna be listed in CoinNest and Quoinex Japan .

I just checked and I got an airdrop from Binance a few weeks back for Tron coin. Not sure why some sort of promo. Got 500 of them. At the time it was worth like a dollar or two total, but now it's all the way up to $8 total! That's a nice little bonus for doing precisely nothing. Didn't have to register for it or anything.

Anyway, hope MCO holds or increases post announcement - sometimes the price almost factors in a positive announcement, so once the announcement actually hits, it can drop a little. I've seen it a few times with other coins where the announcement almost becomes the minimum accepted outcome.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 14, 2017, 01:43:31 AM
Cryptopia is a GREAT and easy to reach exchange !!

Cryptopia wants 5 BTC to be listed.. at the current BTC price that is way overpriced for this kind of exchange.

Wow really? I thought most of the smaller or 'second tier' exchanges charged about 1 BTC. But 5?? That is an insane amount for that exchange. It does make you wonder how some of those much smaller coins that have a market cap of a few hundred thousands get on to cryptopia. I'm guessing they've increased their prices recently or some of those other smaller coins got in before Bitcoins recent jumps in price. A floating price based on USD might make more sense in the future.

Do you have a step by step guide for setting up a masternode somewhere on your website, or is that something you get access to more through your discord or telegram channels?

Not that I'm able to set up a masternode, or even have the bulwark to do it, but just interested in learning more about masternodes and how it works. Also how involved it is, or if anyone that gets the required coin along with a vps, would be able to set it up with basic technical knowledge.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 13, 2017, 05:34:41 AM
I understand that to get on coinmarketcap, you need about $10,000 in daily trade, plus be on a recognised or reputable exchange (which I think counts yobit).

Stating the obvious here, but listing on coinmarketcap will help with getting some recognition that this project actually exists for those not across it through signatum. Any update on straks being traded on an exchange like yobit and therefore progress to being listed on coinmarketcap?

If I buy enough bitcoin pizza to buy a pizza, and instead hold the bitcoin pizza coin for 5 years, will it become worth hundreds of millions? Because given the name, that is my expectation. Anything less is false advertising and will be below my expectations! Wink

But seriously, nice work I'll have a further look into it.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.7 (Linux / Windows) on: December 13, 2017, 03:05:35 AM
Tried your most recent miner and it works great - I'm getting higher hash rates consistently across equihash coins compared to the more well known ewbf miner. Not sure why more people aren't jumping on this miner for their nvidia cards, given it seems to consistently perform better. Also seems to be running stable across my cards so don't think that is putting people off trying this - maybe people just don't know about it?

Starting today:

Fellow miner start mining at https://yiimp.masterhash.us/ if we reach 200GHS we will start the timer if we keep it between 180 and 200 GHS for 24 hours we will give away 2x 2.5  BWK to 2 random miners that are mining there at the end of the 24 hours. We will charge 0% fee from our miners untill we reach 200GHS then it will go up to 1%  we have ddos protection and a steady pool. At 500GHS we will give away another 2x 5 BWk and on 1 THS we will give away 2x 10 BWK !. So be smart and join now !

Great idea! Great way to bring people over to the pool. As you know, these things tend to have a snowball effect so once some people are mining, it hits a tipping point where more people jump in due to consistent payouts and reliability in finding blocks.

I will swap over my modest mining rig when I get home. 200GHS here we come!

Do you already know on what exchanges you will be trading?
The FIT token will be available in the markets like:
mercatox.com
binance.com
hitbtc.com
etherdelta.com
coinexchange.com
kucoin.com

That's quite a list! Are these exchanges already locked in, or are these exchanges that you are hoping to list on, once the ICO stage is complete.

I'm surprised there isn't more attention on this ICO, particularly given large team and established product.

Is the idea of your platform that users will be able to invest in traditional assets (like real estate) through cryptocurrencies, and get 'passive income', also paid out in crypto, based on the return of these assets? Do you already have an asset book ready to go that people can invest in?

AI projects must be difficult to get off the ground! I mean, if huge companies like google are struggling to turn AI into useful products or bringing it to the market, it will be especially difficult for an ico to get anywhere.

What will you be doing differently to ensure the project is a success? What skills does the team bring that set you apart from other projects?

Wow, nice mining at protopool, 13 BWK per 5 hours with my 1 Ghash, very good
https://protopool.net/?address=bJNDiR3XQ6NjTG8E5ZSdD68x22LzhrzX8P

That is a great result. Might be a bit of luck involved, but hey, if it works out for you and you're spreading out the hash power between pools, then perfect!

I'm guessing the pool has not had issues with stability? There were a couple of pools with stability issues at the beginning for a while but seems to be getting better now that the pools are a bit more established. Asking because I'm looking for a reliable 'set and forget' type of pool.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: December 12, 2017, 04:24:07 AM
Just found this coin.
Looks good, very hard to not sell it though.

Sell half keep half? Probably a lot of early interest, particularly as some people are trying to accumulate for a masternode. Looks to have stabilised around the $6 usd mark.

I'm also surprised at how much interest and how profitable it is mining bulwark. I'm guessing nicehash going down has actually 'helped', since the nist5 algo doesn't come up on whattomine, so only way miners can find out about bulwark is through other ways, like this forum or by looking at the new listings on coinmarketcap.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gtx 1070, what coin(s) do you guys mine at this very moment? on: December 12, 2017, 02:25:40 AM
Huh Huh Huh Huh

I just started mining, got 1x GTX 1070 G1, currently mining Zcash with Better hash, earning around $1.5 per day. I've ordered 3x 1070, still waiting for them..starting to think a made a huge mistake in investing in this rig...

I've read something about mining Zcash and Sia at the same time, but according to whattomine I'll end up with roughly the same profit.

Please feel free to make any suggestions.
right now bulwark and poly they give around 3-7 usd per gpu check here's the bulwark pool http://yiimp.poolofd32th.club and try solo mining poly.

buying a mining rig is never a mistake unless you go in dept because if its profitable you mine and if not you turn them off easy and as i said before just mine bulwark or altcom 1070 is one of the best mining gpus this year so don't get cold shoulders just because right now some coins don't give you enough money you will be happy when we start another golden age for mining.

Yeah I would mine Zencash or Zcash usually. You are right that bulwark coin is a great find at the moment. I got in early and was mining close to a coin and hour for about half a day - that has definitely dropped off now that there are more miners. I expect it will come up on whattomine soon and then it won't be so profitable (plus the price could fluctuate quite a bit given it is a new coin).

But if you want a set and forget coin to mine, I would suggest something equihash based like zcash, zencash or zcoin.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 11, 2017, 11:28:42 PM
Has anyone successfully set up a secure node, on Windows 10, using their Mining rig system? Any troubleshooting tips?

why would you want a secure node ? And why would you want to run it on Windows 10 ?

I have a mining rig running almost 24/7, so if I can run a secure node through it while mining, and the return is greater than the vps cost, then why wouldn't I? Get paid in zencash, plus help secure the network - sounds good to me.

I want to run it on Windows 10, as my mining rig is running on Windows 10. That's the only reason, plus I'm not particularly familiar with linux based operating systems.

what is the best pool ? Grin Grin Grin Grin
how many can get for 60 Mh/s --24h

I'm using PoolofD32th for now, I used it before mining another coin and never had a problem with payments or anything.

About how many coins you will get with 60mh/s, it should be around 2 BWK.

Interested in why you're using poolofD32th, from what I can tell bsod pools seems to be working again (although was annoying me for quite a while there!), and only has 0.5 per cent fee, while poolofD32th has 2 per cent fee.

Are they particularly reliable or have good pool managers? Over 1000 people mining at that pool so they must have something going for them!

People have complaining before about BSOD pool not paying miners. That's why I stay with the pools I know have payed me before, eventhough higher fee. You can read more about people complaining about bsod here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2388626.860

That makes sense thanks for that link. I agree of course that it is much better to pay an honest 'higher' fee, than have to worry about getting paid at all! Although there does look to be a lot of people still mining on bsod, so I'd be interested in if anyone has seen anything that doesn't quite line up on that pool. They had some stability issues for a while but seem to be running fine now.

So is the idea that the fiat currency used to purchase any coins on an exchange will be used in charity drives? And what will the cpu mining be used for - more as a way for users to 'donate' their coins for a particular cause at whatever the going price is at the time?

Charity coins are interesting - always like to support a good cause! Smiley
