661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💠 DIW 💠 [ANN] [ICO] 💠 DIWtoken.com 💠 Decentralize Security on: May 22, 2018, 06:56:23 AM
is there already any information when DIW is going to hit an exchange ?
DIW team mentioned on the whitepaper that DIW token will be list on exchanges right after the ICO but which exchange, they have not mention..
this project have big potential and hope so DIW team will be list this token on better exchange instead of list on idex or yobit..  Roll Eyes
phase three is still running 1 eth / 8500 DIW and raised from public crowdfunding 1622 eth..

Yes I think they will be able to list on a good exchange (like Okex for example) with the amount of interest, large team and potential behind the idea.

Still a while to go for the public crowdfunding so there really isn't a rush to announce specific exchange/s. I'd rather see progress towards the actual product as that is where the long term value is. Exchange listings are just a flash in the pan.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: May 22, 2018, 06:38:39 AM
Is is now trading on HitBTC , holy moly Smiley

https://hitbtc.com/exchange/STAK-to-BTC

...and already we have more the 53% volume on it, it will be interesting to see how much volume will this bring us on days to come. Cool

You see this a lot though. A coin gets listed on a big exchange, people buy it with zero research for whatever reason, then it crashes to where it was before the listing within a week. Where Straks ends up in price after the hype of the listing has died down will be interesting.

On some exchanges you also see trading 'competitions' to encourage trade volume, which tends to put upwards pressure on price too. I recall one competition on an exchange was for a sports car giveaway. I remember the top ten traders actually got all sorts of goodies like gaming consoles and bonus tokens. Things can get a bit crazy.

663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ethereum is the best blockchain protocol? on: May 22, 2018, 04:27:41 AM
I'd say no, but it does depend on what you want a chain to do (smart contracts, or fast transfers, or max security etc).

Also let's just remember what happened to the blockchain when cryptokitties hit mania.

Incumbency and how established a blockchain is seems to have a disproportionate impact on value. Bitcoin for example isn't the most 'advanced' blockchain, but because of how long it has been around and how 'trusted' it is, it has the greatest value (among a variety of other reasons).

So maybe not the 'best' in many fields - but will it hold its value? I'd say so.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: May 22, 2018, 03:36:31 AM

Binance had Zencash as a 'Community coin of the month' option - twice - and it didn't get the votes needed from the community for the discounted listing. So it has had the opportunity to be listed, but for whatever reason, didn't pull enough votes from people like us.

It could still get listed through the regular channels, but obviously it would be more costly for zencash and might take longer.
This is true, and this is why community engagement is also very important. Support from community is crucial for success.

Unfortunatly as I have seen in the Crypto Community... They do nothing for Free Tongue
Reward each unique Voter with a Zen or Two and see Zen get Listed on Binance like in Yesterday Smiley
It sucks, but it is true.

I get where you're coming from, although buying votes with Zen would be very costly, and isn't really in the spirit of supporting a 'community coin'! Binance is essentially getting the listing fee of a 'popular' coin by going through this voting process. Every vote costs 0.1 BNB, which in USD is about $1.50. This is returned to Binance and adds an additional utility to BNB on top of the reduced exchange fees.

Really instead of coin developers paying for the listing fee, all the users who want the coin listed and are voting are paying the listing fee. Each of those 0.1 BNB adds up quickly!
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to start bounty campaing ? on: May 22, 2018, 02:05:57 AM
At this stage, if you are a newbie account, you won't be able to participate in signature campaigns, as only higher ranks can include lots of text and an avatar in their signature blogs.

So my suggestion would be to be involved in other aspects of the bounty campaign. This can include translating threads to a different language, writing articles on blogs or steemit about the coin, or being involved on Telegram or Discord.

There are quite a few campaigns that you can participate in simply by joining the page's Telegram group. It is is usually a relatively small amount of 'reward', but that is because it doesn't take much effort.

I also, personally, only 'bounty' for campaigns that have a product I think is worthwhile with a strong team. This definitely makes things easier if you plan on writing a blog about a coin! Goodluck!
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 22, 2018, 01:24:38 AM
They throw this coin in market to face every kind of situation both worse and appreciated moments. Once it will have seen these difficulties whatever gain will be in its value will last more in my opinion. That is the reason it looks better and holds the price at above $0.03 easily without big efforts. They need long term holders and they will be people with strong nerves not speculators.

I see myself as a strong hodler but when/if this coin hits a big exchange like binance and the price sky rockets im selling them asap!

While ravencoin has lead developers, there aren't traditional owners as such that have a large sum of premine sitting there that they can use to pay for a big exchange listing like Binance. So I'm not sure what the best way forward would be to get on multiple large exchange listings.

Given community support, ravencoin could get a listing on Binance through their 'community coin of the month' program, whereby coins can get listed at a discount if they receive enough votes from the community for a listing. That would be my suggestion, particularly given it is still a relatively new coin it would definitely fit the criteria.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷trade.io🔷[ANN] [ICO]💲31,169,749 🔷Partner Civic & Bancor🔷HitBTC & OKEx on: May 22, 2018, 12:38:04 AM

I didn't know that this trade. io exchange isn't live yet until i got to visit this because i heard my coin will be listed in this exchange. Therefore i will have a double wait when it will live to trade. This is more good news its within a day for my token or awaited coin to be listed. Hope this exchange will not like others that is too strict when it comes to kyc and withdrawal limits.

What is this coin? If you do not mind answering.

Check out the trade.io website for an overview.

But in short, it is a coin that fuels access to an exchange (currently in beta) and a range of other financial tools, including an early 'angel investor program' that provides access to vetted ICO's. Also, at a certain number of TIO tokens (2500 starting) you can get access to a liquidity pool where you receive a percentage return on investment depending on how the liquidity pool performs.

Before it 'becomes' its own exchange, you can still get TIO from other exchanges.

I did some research - imo the "team" and community behind Raven is awesome. Just HODL and grap as much coins you can!

Yup good team and lots of community engagement and support. Plus commitment to GPU mining which I personally love because of all these ethash and equihash coming out (or are already being used by bitmain to mine!) This is as good a time as any to mine or exchange.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: May 21, 2018, 08:36:05 AM
Announcement: It has been a year since our ICO! In the past year, Monaco has grown from a small band of founders to a large team (and still growing!) - getting closer to our vision day by day. Couldn't have done this without all the support from you guys  So thank you @everyone !
And...the iOS version is now available

One year to the day since the start of the our ICO. With great support, we have grown from a small band of founders to a big (and growing) team that brings our vision to life! Thank you all. https://t.co/BPRy81BPEs

A good one year anniversary present would be to have cards out there being used for purchases, and people using the app like was shown in the demonstration.

Oh and you could also announce what is in the 5000 MCO lock up card! Maybe like the obsidian black card but isn't limited to 999 cards?

we are waiting the news about the launch of tradeio exchange.
it will be the end of this month right? Grin

Me too, me too! I hope that Public Beta will soon be released so that everyone can sign up on the trade.io exchange platform. This anticipation makes me nervous. Wink

Haha yeah, on the exchange side of things I'm interested in what coins will be available for trading from day one, and if/how much they'll charge for listing, or if they think they'll get profits from other sources than listing (like trade fees, liquidity pool or angel investor programs).

I think I will consider investing

I will trust this newbie account over my own research and invest.

Also any other newbie accounts that use broken English will increase my likelihood of investing - particularly if they talk about guaranteed returns.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 20, 2018, 04:59:10 AM
I've been mining Raven for the past month but this week has been much less profitable.  I'm mining using Nevermore and am using Pickaxe Pro as the pool.  Did something happen to cause profits to drop 30% this week?
Profits as in coins per day or dollar per day? The price went down a bit with added difficulty or rather difficulty swings this could add up to 30% less dollar per day.

Yeah it does depend on how you measure 'profit'.

I find it interesting how many people say that mining x coin has been 'less profitable', even though they aren't selling anything they mine. I like to think of it more in terms of mining difficulty and coins received, and consider how I think the price per coin will look over the mid term.
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: May 20, 2018, 04:33:28 AM

Any idea how to get a vote going once again?

It seems to be more of a Binance team decision to put a coin up for nomination if they think it is a long term project with community interest (and will therefore generate more votes, which cost BNB). Given that zencash has already had two shots and getting listed through the 'Community coin' channel, my guess is that Binance won't be in a rush to give it a third shot.

I think zencash developers with Binance may be more inclined to try again for Zencash when it has forked for supernodes and the later fork away from Asics, along with other improvements through zenpub etc as then there will be some 'new' things to market and push for more votes.

A lot of the winners of Community coin are fairly new projects that are listed on very few exchanges, so there is more of a push for listing from coin followers. So the fact that zencash is already on a few exchanges and has been around for a while may make it more difficult to get a listing through this path. However cryptopia isn't working properly for zencash, and other exchanges have their own bugs so that's another reason why I vote for zencash to be listed as part of the Binance community coin process.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: May 19, 2018, 08:53:02 AM
I have no idea WHY ZEN is not on Binance exchange.  I sure wish it was.  That's where I do the majority of my trading.  That's where I prefer to do all my trading.  I believe Cryptopia Exchange is a better platform than Bittrex.  I at least like the way it looks better than Bittrex.  I haven't traded on Bittrex for a while because it was very buggy the last time I was there about 6 months ago.  I simply got tired of the bugs and stopped trading on Bittrex.  Maybe it's better now.  I have no idea.

675  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling my 50 btc wallet dat. file with lost password on: May 17, 2018, 05:59:18 AM
Tell you what, send the wallet.dat file for free and if I figure out the password, I'll give you 10 per cent.

If you're legit, it involves the same level of risk except you're wearing it instead of the other person, and expecting to be sent cash for nothing. If this is a scam (which it looks like) then you obviously won't do it and instead wait for someone to send you money for nothing.

As a side note - what was the name of your first pet?
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: May 17, 2018, 05:11:37 AM
I wonder if there is a way to do an analysis of how many 'orphan' bitcoins there are out there. Like if you could find out how many addresses exist that have X number of bitcoins that have never been moved in Y number of years. That would be a good indication of someone who has lost their private address.

Examples like this would show that there won't be 21 million bitcoins in circulation.

677  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much does an Airdrop cost? on: May 16, 2018, 11:42:55 PM
It's kind of like facebook - if it doesn't cost you anything, then YOU are the product.
678  Other / Meta / Re: Is a campaign manager responsible for preventing low quality posting? on: May 16, 2018, 03:22:46 AM
Yes they should be - but I doubt much will change since the incentives aren't aligned.

The current incentive structure supports both the 'bad' poster side, and the campaign manager side. The campaign manager wants to get maximum payment for 'managing' a bounty campaign with minimal effort. This means skimming through posts or not reviewing at all, and causing as little fuss as possible.

The poster wants to get their minimum 'constructive' post count up, which usually means lots of words with not much substance.

The people who are actually missing out are the ICO's providing the bounty, who probably want to be affiliated with high quality posts instead of low quality. So perhaps the solution is to support those active bounty campaign managers who do their job properly and filter out spam posters.

Is anyone having problems with Supernova pool today, mining zencash? I am having no shares.... since yesterday afternoon.

It has been working ok for me. Suprnova is usually pretty good with flagging on their website if they have an issue with on the pool side. I remember with one of their pools they provided no fee and 15 per cent additional coins because the pool was down intermittently throughout the day. So if there is a problem it should say on homepage.

I will Hodl this coin till 1 dollar atleast. The team is 12 hours active atleast a day. We see them  all the time on Telegram.

Everyone who sells now is pretty dumb and will regret it when one day it will blow up.

I want to see the working product! Got to love a new exchange coming onto the market since some of the existing exchanges are getting away with charging way too much for altcoin listings. Once an exchange with novel features is up and running then we'll start getting some momentum.
