1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE is not working right now here... do you have same problem there? on: December 06, 2017, 05:08:33 AM
Ok good to know it's not just me. Yes very slow and buggy. Authentication doesn't seem to work properly, screen loads slowly, and balances aren't showing up properly. Wonder what the problem is hopefully this won't be another bad news story about a hack or some related issue!

At least this might encourage hodling Wink

22% yearly staking is massive. What made you pick that number.

Also what is the 35% per month figure for 'lending' actually based on? If you can earn that much, it means someone is borrowing that much. Why would someone borrow at that kind of interest rate - I mean you could go to a regular bank or even a credit card and get less than 20 per cent per month as the interest on your loan. What am I missing here?

Project looks great.

What's the thinking behind a five year POW period? Are you hoping that pow miners will help the coin become 'established' and then transition to be involved in masternodes down the track. Or is it more that POS will replace POW, and your focus (and rewards) are on masternodes since that is what is mainly required to keep the system secure?
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]{Talking.IM} Blockchain Taxi - Whitepaper on: December 06, 2017, 01:22:53 AM
Keen to read more info about this project. Content through an info graphic and white paper could be included in bitcointalk thread Smiley

Any details you can share about the team involved? There are a few other transportation or taxi type ico's and coins out there. Stating the obvious here but this type of information will give people confidence to invest or be involved in some other way (like through a bounty campaign).

It's a pity Eleos wallet isn't supported anymore. It had terrible interface (I was hoping for it to be improved in further versions) but it's ability to manage 3 coins was very, very useful.

There are plans to keep improving wallet useability and look and feel. I was fine with Eleos wallet as well - I think the ability to manage multiple coins in the one wallet is always attractive. Take Exodus for example I think that is a great wallet but still only has some of the top coins available through it.

Part of the challenge is zencash has both a normal and 'secure' address - so that would likely make the requirements for zencash fairly specific in terms of the wallets that can be used, and the need to have a zencash specific wallet.

Thank you, and keep up the great work!
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 05, 2017, 10:58:57 PM
Is that for fuckin real or what? South Korean exchange Huobi will reward top traders in both selling and buying monaco tokens and the biggest trader gets a freakin Tesla??? I can understand the Iphone X for a second spot but a Tesla? For real?
Maybe that's what they withdrew so many MCO tokens from the founder wallet for?

I guess Exchanges like volume for transaction fees. Buying and selling it's all good to them.

I noticed it was a Tesla 3. Still awesome, but no Tesla model S! Wink Plus the model 3 isn't even out yet!

I know Binance does a few of these competitions as well with new coin listings. Seems to work.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 05, 2017, 04:54:41 AM
Is anyone selling into this at around the $16-17 mark? seems to have stabilised a bit, not sure how much oxygen is left in this increase! I like MCO so will be holding a chunk but if I can sell today then buy more back cheaper tomorrow then why wouldn't I sell into this rise.

Hey guys - for pow mining on Nvidia, what kind of overclocking are you using? Is neoscrypt a memory clock hungry algo, or more a core clock algo? Just about to start setting it up but I've never mined neoscrypt and want to make sure I'm tweaking the right things.

I've read that both core clock increase (say 150ish) and memory clock (about 500ish) are the way to go, but didn't seem to be much consensus.

I posted this 2 pages back may help you.

Then upgraded to ccminer815 cuda9 x64 performance increased from 1700 kH/s to 2200 Kh/s

Great thanks, must have missed that when trawling through these pages, but thanks for rewriting!

Interesting that the new ccminer815 has made that much of a difference. I mean, that's like a twenty percent difference! Will have to try that out and see if I can get similar results.

So to confirm my understanding - this is a platform where people can use cryptocurrency (presumably bitcoin, ethereum), to invest in non-crypto things, like real estate, shares and whatever else, with the advantage being that since it is in crypto, fees and rates will be lower? Also there will be dividend type payments depending on what you invest in, with these (also presumably) paid out in something like bitcoin or ethereum or you native token.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 05, 2017, 01:40:53 AM
MCO is increasing so fast, hit $30 today!!!!!!

Wow I seriously was away for my computer for about 15 minutes, and in that time it went from $10usd to over $16. People are crazy nothing has really changed from one week ago except new exchanges. The token is still the same token!

I guess this is the same thing that happened some months back when it went to $25 in less than a day!
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 05, 2017, 12:47:09 AM
These competitions are crazy. You could probably do the maths and figure out how much MCO you could buy, almost regardless of price, and still be ahead if you win the Tesla or even an Iphone X.

I was sceptical that listing on exchanges would make much of a difference in price. But I guess if you list on 4 major asian exchanges on the same day where people are crypto crazy with a competition to win a damn Tesla worth over 100k then yeah, you could get a bump.

I wonder how the price will hold up once the competition is over.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO]VRT.WORLD - VR WORLD IN ONE TECHNOLOGY on: December 04, 2017, 05:58:52 AM
Spectiv VR is another virtual reality ICO, which is currently further progressed VRT World and looks to have some promise.

What do you think your main differences or advantages are to other VR projects out there, like Spectiv, which are also under development. From memory, I think some are just about finishing up their ICO's.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: December 04, 2017, 05:39:25 AM
why is IOTA surging?
IOTA is rising from wider interest, sometimes selling a story and concept that people understand is all it takes to gain and once a price starts to rise others add some to be part of the trend and so the market cap snowballs some.
This is all quite ironic when IOTA seems to be in beta still with issues to sort through for full user friendly use.  It seems best to be cautious, I guess people are relatively safe if they stick with exchange based addresses and trading for the moment; activity which is true of alot of market participants in my experience.

sounds good and interesting. I believe that many people believe in this project, i bet mostly technical people.

Useful input. I much rather these balanced and honest views of why a coin may be increasing - such as community sentiment - rather than fundamentals or specific announcements, instead of more of the same 'Price will hit $100 next week!' kind of posts.

It could keep rising I'm really not sure. Bitcoin has had an incredible year. But I always appreciate posts that don't hype everything up based on very general statements, which we know in crypto can happen easily and is very common!
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 04, 2017, 05:18:48 AM
I'm hoping the sigt to straks swap period isn't directly over the christmas break. I for one will probably be out of town for quite a while and won't have that much free time to line everything up.

If the process only takes 10 minutes all works no troubleshooting and is straightforward then it shouldn't be a problem - but a 4 week swap period will actually be more like one week window give or take if it is directly over the new year and christmas. I'm sure a few other people are in the same position.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 04, 2017, 02:26:32 AM
There seems to be quite a bit of quiet accumulation already. Someone has information, that much is clear.

Yes possibly. I'm just glad I took my own advice and accumulated some more when it was in the $5 range!

Could also just be all the Q&A updates and engagement that shows MCO is on the right path. Also good signs that people are still investing given all the gains and attention on bitcoin recently. Long run, it will likely increase relative to USD, however relative to bitcoin, that is harder to tell.

Pirl right up there on whattomine! I think exposure through mining is a great way to get people to pay attention to the project, particularly with the hundreds of icos and new coins popping up every month.

Mining is the way I learned about pirl, so hopefully others will fall into the same boat and get involved in the project that way Smiley
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 03, 2017, 05:35:31 AM
I like seeing Zencash further down the list on whattomine. Am I being selfish? Smiley

It sometimes jumps up quite high for no apparent reason on the immediate profitability measurement. Sometimes the difficulty drops 30 odd percent in the space of a few blocks (yesterday I saw it at 350ish before going back to high 600's), my guess is nicehash miners going to another coin, but still don't know why the swing would be so large!

But yes, I prefer to be able to mine more zencash at lower difficulty regardless of price, because I like zencash for the long haul!
