what is the best pool ? Grin Grin Grin Grin
how many can get for 60 Mh/s --24h

I'm using PoolofD32th for now, I used it before mining another coin and never had a problem with payments or anything.

About how many coins you will get with 60mh/s, it should be around 2 BWK.

Interested in why you're using poolofD32th, from what I can tell bsod pools seems to be working again (although was annoying me for quite a while there!), and only has 0.5 per cent fee, while poolofD32th has 2 per cent fee.

Are they particularly reliable or have good pool managers? Over 1000 people mining at that pool so they must have something going for them!
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS is the Next BIG THING! 102 DAYS TO TRUE MOON COUNTDOWN on: December 11, 2017, 06:20:28 AM
I am here to speculate Stratis also but I need to add that ethereum is something very special. There will never be 2nd ethereum. Don't think Stratis like that. Stratis is for high level businesses.

Actually I am also thinking that will really Stratis be the next ETH? It is quite impossible because everything can be only 1 and especially those are already leaders will lead and rest of them will just follow. If it happens or even reach anywhere close to ETH the project will be considered as highly successful as per my understanding

Predicting the next Ethereum is always going to be very difficult! I doubt the people who had Eth when it was $10 would be that confident it would hit close to $500 in a relatively short period of time.

Stratis is great, and I only have a handful, but would be thrilled if it jumped higher - I think it is a great product.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum 2.0 on: December 11, 2017, 05:49:34 AM
Still not sure why this thread is kept alive - Sigt 2.0 is Straks, just go over to the Straks announcement thread. All the questions about the swap process are highlighted in the Straks thread. It is essentially a step by step send and receive process that can be done through the Straks team discord. Instructions on github (again, available through Straks thread!)
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Which bounty campaign is very good now? on: December 11, 2017, 02:47:49 AM
I think trade.io has a good bounty as you get actual tokens rather than 'stakes', so you know exactly how many tokens you'll get. There are still a couple weeks left in this campaign.

I think altcommunity coin is doing a good bounty as again, you get actual tokens per post not stakes. Depending on your membership level, it could be the equivalent of a dollar to a few dollars for each post (depending on the going price, which fluctuates quite a bit at the moment).
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 11, 2017, 02:10:40 AM
Has anyone successfully set up a secure node, on Windows 10, using their Mining rig system? Any troubleshooting tips?

I'm interested in if this is practicable, or if it is more difficult to set up a node than that. I have a mining rig that is on pretty much 24/7 anyway, so if I can run a secure node through it, then of course I'd be happy to.

I already do similar things with staking other coins by leaving those relevant wallets open on the staking option while still pow mining. Running a node through it as well would really make that system work hard!
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptokitty on: December 11, 2017, 01:47:27 AM
Crypto kitty could struggle when other similar games come in (given how successful this game is) and perhaps with less issues in terms of transaction fees. I recall reading an article that the Steemit blockchain is only at like 1 per cent capacity so could likely take on a game like crypto kitty and still work fine. Not sure exactly how Steemit operates, but there was some discussion of games using Steemit as a platform.

Crypto kitty has first mover advantage in the 'digital blockchain collectable' space (if you want to call it that) so we'll see how it all pans out.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIFT vs Substratum - battle to decentralize the web on: December 11, 2017, 01:02:42 AM
Can you tell me where to find information on shifts leadership and team? This is important and they seem like they’re in the shadows.  Kinda shifty.

I heard they don't like to do that so that nobody can know all the other crypto currency projects they are working on, like a coin mill.

The last one that went public with his information, Jan, did exactly this and the price tanked.

I think having some knowledge of who the team is can be pretty important - might be one of the reasons that substratum is doing well since you know who is on the team, they do interviews and are generally trying to be seen.

I remember seeing a poll recently on this forum about what people consider when investing in an ico, and over half selected 'strength of team' as the main thing in choosing where to invest.

Might not work for all coins, particularly ones focused on privacy, but it can still put people in the community off from investing.

Congratulations on a successful signature bounty campaign! Looks like with the recent increases in bitcoin price has attracted a lot of people to this bounty, to the point where you're only accepting legendary members!

Anyway, the project looks great and I hope the ico is a success. I got across the ico from clicking through someones signature blog so the campaign obviously worked Smiley
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 10, 2017, 11:48:57 PM
legal action due to using a country name - i cant stop laughing ... Grin Grin Grin
seriously guys??? do you think all companies named swiss indontknowwhat payd royalties
to be legally allowed to use the name???

ahahhahahahah

great stuff kids , really

how about u check first patent name rights on monaco before u post such kindergarden stuff?
People seem to accept anything that would help the FUD or hype in crypto, as long as it benefits them. And at the same time they drown out facts and reason. This place is utterly insane. 10/10 entertainment though.

If you re-read my post it clearly says I am not sure of the reliability of the source article.

Regardless, you are wrong to think it is just a made up laugh for kids. You would see that if you did ANY research that the Monaco Government has been trying for years to trademark its name, taking the matter to the EU courts, and companies like 'Monaco Card' would fall under those legal issues IF the Monaco Government was successful. Fortunately for Monaco Card company, the Monaco Government has been unsuccessful to date.

To say it is just FUD or some kindergarten stuff is a bit silly. It is an issue Monaco Card the company has actually responded to in Q&A sessions, and is a well known trademark issue the Monaco Government has been pushing for years.

Also if you look back at my post - I was responding to a question about whether Monaco the country has anything to do with Monaco Card. Nothing to do with randomly starting FUD, just sharing research.

Personally, I don't think Monaco Card the company will have any issues, since there are so many other companies that would be in the same position if the Monaco Government was successful in trademarking 'Monaco'.

Have a read if you'd like to learn about it:

Here for example on Monaco Government court proceedings:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/monaco-government-fails-in-attempt-to-trademark-its-own-name-at-eus-general-court-9981181.html

And it the issue was raised in Slack and responded to by Monaco Card, you can read some of it through reddit in the comments field here:

1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 10, 2017, 11:24:16 PM
I've just done the sigt/straks swap. Pretty straightforward. Only thing is you have to join straks Discord. I hadn't use discord and had no wish to really use discord on a frequent basis, but overall it is pretty easy. Essentially you join discord, type !swap and then do what the swap robot says. You can then add your straks address by typing !straks (address).

Took maybe 15 minutes including joining/loading discord. Might take a bit longer if you still need to download straks wallet.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: December 10, 2017, 10:34:45 PM

guys anyone have issues with this pool now? my connection interrupted with the pool every five minutes...
any feedback about the the port 3834?

Yeah I had issues couldn't connect to stratum or some error like that. Then refreshed the pool and it was up to 4000 miners, up from less than 2000 - don't know if the upswing has something to do with it.

Mining something else as I had to quickly go to work but there have been pool issues with various pools for a while now (umine issues for example). Hope the reliability of pools improves.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 10, 2017, 08:20:33 AM
Why is the coin called Monaco? Any connection with a small kingdom in Europe?

No actually. However, I read somewhere that they are in some strife over using the name 'Monaco' as supposedly the country (jurisdiction?) doesn't like companies using their name. They've already started legal proceedings - although I'm not sure how reliable the article is as a source. If it is true, I'm not sure what the outcome will be. It's not like they can call themselves MonacoIN, since that is already taken by a useless coin with a catface on it.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 10, 2017, 08:15:46 AM
hello when do we receive are straks after we send signatum to get burned?

I sent to get burned but not received anything in my straks wallet

thanks

Did you read the swap process details on their github?

Short answer, just under 1 year at the moment to receive your full straks.  Monthly payments.

So you're saying that even if you only have a handful of signatum (like a few hundred), it will be split out over a monthly payment schedule, rather than be paid out all at once? Based on github, it looks like they have an amount that is willing to be paid in Straks every month, but doesn't say anything about it being split evenly between each address over a 12 month period from what I can see, just that it will be in parallel to mining.

Yeah numbers on bsod starting to plummet, was up around 1200 miners now down to about 800. Still have some payouts unpaid. Disappointing if it doesn't come through I really hope these pools get sorted out, just want a reliable pool might try block sucker nation pool now Smiley
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS BUY NOW!!! on: December 07, 2017, 04:14:54 AM
Am I the only one that has a feeling that its too late to join the STRATIS train?

It's not too late, keep an eye and watch for a slight dip and enter. I say this as a STRAT holder, but realistically it will likely dip slightly in the next few days before continuing higher.

It's not too late! You can wait for a pull back if you like to try but if you expect Stratis to increase overall in the longer term (as in, more than just a few weeks!) then of course, buy in at any reasonable price.

I think some people try to be too clever with their trading strategies, thinking they can buy dips and sell tops consistently. I did similar things with NEO, and while it worked pretty well, I ended up missing out on a huge run to high $30usd.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: December 07, 2017, 02:56:04 AM
I think the challenge for Straks, pitched essentially as a transparent community coin, will be to take all the best bits out of the community that have come over from Sigt, while trying to leave the baggage at the door.

Having a ready made group in Sigt come over to this project looks to be a blessing and a curse based on over 50 pages on this thread. It means you have a group of people ready to contribute, but if they are still holding onto the ups and downs, and general weirdness of things that happened with Sigt, then it will be difficult to get positive engagement.

I personally like the Sigt/Straks swap. It is a better outcome than the developers pretending they weren't involved in some way in the Sigt project. Also the way they've done the swap where coins are released steadily over time in parallel with mining rewards (instead of just 'dumped' into peoples wallets) is the right way to go about it.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[BOUNTY][PRE-ICO]🔥COINPLACE 🚀First Round 250k$🚀 on: December 07, 2017, 12:17:57 AM
Just a heads up. You might want to correct the spelling on the first page of this bounty thread, and if appropriate, the announcement page to change it to EtheREUM, instead of what you current have as EtheRIUM.

I'm not usually a stickler for spelling, but things like that really jump out at me, and it probably does for a lot of other people, particularly if you're thinking of getting involved in the ico Smiley
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: December 06, 2017, 11:36:09 PM
Is anyone selling into this at around the $16-17 mark? seems to have stabilised a bit, not sure how much oxygen is left in this increase! I like MCO so will be holding a chunk but if I can sell today then buy more back cheaper tomorrow then why wouldn't I sell into this rise.

Wish I'd taken my own advice and sold some around $16-17, particularly with bitcoin rising like some pumped up altcoin!

Still, the current price of $10 is much higher than the $5.50 range it was a few weeks back. So really can't complain! Hopefully the other two exchanges getting listed will make a difference, particularly if they have some random trading tesla contest.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: December 06, 2017, 10:30:49 PM
Project looks great.

What's the thinking behind a five year POW period? Are you hoping that pow miners will help the coin become 'established' and then transition to be involved in masternodes down the track. Or is it more that POS will replace POW, and your focus (and rewards) are on masternodes since that is what is mainly required to keep the system secure?

We do not have a five year PoW period. The Proof of Work and Masternodes phase only lasts approximately one year. After that, it will switch to Proof of Stake and Masternodes.

I think the confusion here is because the OP states: "The PoW phase will start with a block reward of 50 BWK and decrease quarterly until PoS Year 6" (emphasis added as this seems to be a typo or need clearer indication of the actual plan -- I'd suggest reframing this bolded part to read something like: "during the year-long Pow phase" or "over the course of the year-long PoW phase").

Immediately below that it has the quarterly schedule of PoW rewards; the two lines taken together make evident that something is awry or inconsistent.

Thanks heratys, yes exactly, this was the reason for my confusion. On a closer look, particularly on the website I can see under the Faq that it was one year PoW. Also in the table with the quarterly year by year breakdown there isn't anything that jumps out that highlights PoW is in year one, and all the other years PoS.

I would guess a few people will automatically jump to figures, tables etc so the short sentence that PoW is one year could easily be missed. Could be worth making the one year PoW more apparent or doing something similar to what heratys suggests.

Also under the Faq menu under whitepaper, nothing comes up. When the whitepaper is uploaded I'm guessing that will help clarify the roadmap.

So according to cryptopia, bulwark is getting around 0.0002 btc (so that's around $2.5usd per coin, unless my maths is wrong). How much can you get with an NVidia gtx 1070 and 1060. For whatever reason can't seem to find the algo on whattomine? Unless Nist is shorthand for one of the other algos already up there.
