561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: June 25, 2018, 08:51:26 AM
Just wanted to touch base and update everyone on the exchange situation. Everything is looking good currently so we've opened Cryptopia back up.

Cryptobridge has not responded to any of our messages to date so we are unsure exactly where they stand in terms of updating and syncing up their exchange wallet. We'll be sure to keep everyone posted as soon as we hear from them.

It's like a role reversal. Before all the problems were happening with cryptopia, now cryptobridge is a bit slow on the uptake!

I guess it shows the benefit of having at least two exchanges to trade on. Still, you'd think cryptobridge would at least give an ETA but whatever, as long as we aren't still talking about it in a month Wink

all people are using this thread to get some refferal for tradeio campaign event.
is this allowed to do that?

Are you referring to the 'dare to share' campaign?

To be honest, there is little guidance on what is needed under the +5 entries per day for posting on bitcointalk for the 'dare to share' campaign. I've checked the Terms and Conditions and there is nothing to say what specifically is in or out. It just says as part of the entry to 'share' the trade io post and provide the url where you shared it.

I'm assuming you just provide the url to the bitcointalk page that has your post that shares links to the trade io campaign. However, it doesn't even say if you need to do all campaigns or just the dare to share campaign.

Given the lack of specifics, I think common sense should prevail, and as long as you are sharing info about trade io, and not double counting a post etc, it should count.

If you find anything more specific, happy to hear it - it would really suck if you won the contest only to be disqualified because you missed a particular rule.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance safe to store cryptos? on: June 24, 2018, 07:30:53 AM
Binance is the largest exchange. Size does two things:

1. It's so large people assume it must be safe, so they store crypto on the exchange.
2. It's so large, with people storing crypto on it that it becomes a target for hacks.

So be careful trusting it with everything! Now with its turnover I assume it can afford to keep its security top level, but alot of people would have said the same for nicehash....

The price of BWK is still falling. The overall market is not so good at the moment, but I believe it will recover later. By then, Bwk will get a new high price.

Entire market is down, plus bulwark had a couple of changes with switch to PoS. Change can make things a bit jittery but just wait a while and see what exciting plans are coming up over the next few months Wink
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The End Of The Bounty. on: June 24, 2018, 02:12:35 AM
Bounties can still be profitable (or at least a good way to learn about new coins!) but instead of looking at bounties at the ICO stage - perhaps you could look at bounties AFTER the ICO stage.

For example, trade io is doing something like a bounty for the upcoming release of their exchange platform. Check it here https://trade.io/dare-to-share

You can also find other bounties on platforms like steemit. These usually involve a writing competition about a particular ICO, where the best article gets a certain amount of steem.

You can find more steemit bounties in this thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3095567.0

I must be missing something because I can't find the avatar to upload for telegram or signature campaign! Anyone know where it is?

Also great looking project and team!

I think the tradeio exchage will be better than  the rest.

Indeed! Also check out the 'dare to share' competition. Potentially get a holiday just for signing up to a couple of things and spreading news of the exchange launch (and I think even posting on bitcointalk, although exactly what the post needs isn't that clear!).

568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: June 20, 2018, 12:28:20 PM
Last few days there is a reduced reward I get from the bis-pool.net??!!

difficulty has jumped  more mining

I think
Not sure.
Difficulty is 111-112 last xx days..

Yea this sha algo is a bit different, in that a 1 unit increase from 111 to 112 is about twice as difficult. It isn't like ethereum which is more linear in how the numbers represent difficulty.

I think alot of concerns around asics for equihash and ethash are turning people to mining coins like bismuth.
569  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinect.com (ICO) - The Master of Illusions and Misleading Advertising on: June 20, 2018, 12:17:11 PM
As soon as a project promises 20 to 50 percent monthly profit you know it's trash.

I mean, if you knew your idea would return you 20 to 50 percent per month, why would you need investors? Just rollout your idea and print money for yourself. The sad thing is some people obviously still throw their money at these things otherwise they wouldn't bother creating these icos.

We've got quite a few very exciting developments planned over the next few months  Wink

Such as? Anything in beta we can check out or you holding onto things until post Pos before sharing Smiley
571  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: merit game... 50 merit to the most entertaining poster.. on: June 19, 2018, 12:11:02 PM
I asked a hooker if she accepted bitcoin. She told me no because it goes up and down more than she does.

..I'll see myself out.
572  Other / Meta / Re: I understood why I do not get merit. on: June 19, 2018, 11:53:23 AM
So many of these type of posts.

Essentially an attempted 'insightful' post from someone who pretends they don't want merit, but actually does, and disguises it by singing the praises of the merit system that has seen them receive zero merit. How original.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: June 19, 2018, 08:29:33 AM
Do you think is now a good time to invest in BNBm given the fact that it shows some positive behavior despite other coins?
It's mentioned even in this article: https://coincodex.com/article/1885/coins-to-watch-june-18-june-24-2018/

Yes - Binance is great value and is a token with clear functions. It was actually the fastest 'unicorn' company (over $1 billion valuation)

https://irishtechnews.ie/binance-the-fastest-ever-startup-to-to-achieve-profitable-tech-unicorn-status/

Like you've said, it has also weathered the recent downtrend in crypto. In fact, it has increased by over 100 percent since December 2017 all time highs for other coins.

I've mentioned this, and broader trends, in a blog post I did yesterday: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@hassy/cryptocurrency-price-changes-for-top-coins-since-december-2017
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: June 19, 2018, 08:04:39 AM
I wrote a blog about this yesterday. Feel free to have a look and let me know what you think:

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@hassy/cryptocurrency-price-changes-for-top-coins-since-december-2017

In summary, since December 2017 all time highs, bitcoin has dropped by 50 percent. Other ponzi schemes like Bitconnect have dropped by over 99 percent. However, Binance coin has increased by over 100 percent, which is impressive given the downtrend elsewhere.

Your question on 'do you think this year will be red?' depends on where you start from. If you start from December 2017 all time highs then yeah, it is harder to overtake that. If you start from 2016 then we are still up from that - it all depends on when you bought in and what you bought.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BWK] BULWARK | NO ICO | Masternodes | Accelerated PoW | Seesaw PoS/MN on: June 18, 2018, 11:12:00 PM
Once you reach PoS, I'm interested in what the plans are over the next 12 months to expand the project.

Reason I ask, is that with PoW, you often get a steady stream of 'new' people getting involved, as they can earn coins through mining without feeling like they need to trade away from a different coin to be involved and get bulwark.

When you reach PoS, the only way for new people to get bulwark will be through trading for it, which generally means losing coins somewhere else. You'll also have heavy holders of bulwark getting even more bulwark, due to the nature of PoS, potentially reducing the 'spread' of new people with bulwark.

So plans after PoS over the next few months will be particularly important to expand bulwark Smiley
576  Other / Meta / Re: ANATOMY OF SCAMS on: June 17, 2018, 07:39:44 AM
This is great. You could also clone an open source coin with masternodes, talk about how your coin is better because of shorter block times or whatever, then sell each masternode for a 'discounted' early adopter 50% off for only 0.5 BTC each.

Also, you could have anonymous team members because it's a 'privacy-oriented community coin' Wink
577  Other / Meta / Re: sig campaign- what about "1merited post per week" instead of"25 post per week" on: June 17, 2018, 03:36:32 AM
The awarding of merit is not consistent. One week you could get 6 and then for a month nothing, even if your posts are of the same subjective 'quality'.

So perhaps merit is used as more of an entry requirement for the bounty. Such as 'must have at least 10 merit awarded since merit started to join bounty'.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: June 16, 2018, 11:57:51 PM
First half of the next month will be busy for Monco team to prepare to participate in those two events and expect like always good results from those attendances. By the way this recognition as Silver in corporate branding in itself it sign of confidence in the project and shows trust in its future which is good for us all.
Hope the team will also find time for the project developing. I do believe in it, as the community have a demand is such payment cards. I can only wish a good luck to the guys.

Yea if you trawl back through this forum and their list of twitter announcements over the last few months it's mainly about speaking events and conferences.

I mean, conferences are great and all but where are the cards. Too much 'monaco WILL do this' not enough 'monaco HAS DONE this' Smiley
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SOVEREIGN COIN SOV - POW / POS + Masternodes | Zerocoin |Segwit in developement on: June 16, 2018, 10:31:45 AM
Always like to mine a brand new coin. Any reason for such a short pow phase? Some other coins ive seen with a short pow phase can struggle to keep momentum.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷trade.io🔷[ANN] [ICO]💲31,169,749 🔷Partner Civic & Bancor🔷HitBTC & OKEx on: June 16, 2018, 04:37:26 AM
trade.io will be airdropping 2.5 million of ZeroEdge's tokens to its TIO holders in continuation of the ongoing airdrop campaign.

Yea just saw that on their twitter page.

Interesting that there isn't a bonus, as far as I could see, for holders of more than 2500 tio like there was with the last airdrop.

Seems like this airdrop is more of a way to get people interested in the zero edge platform gambling platform since it will rely on lots of early users at launch.

Actually just had a look at the short youtube video announcing this airdrop for telegram users, and it mentioned there would be additional 'tier 2' and 'tier 3' airdrops to be announced soon.

No detail on exactly what is involved but I'm assuming it will be similar to the last airdrop and be mainly for TIO holders.
