from....

because I read this and this topic, I am very curious about what actually influences many people to play gambling and an interesting fact is that people start gambling because of the words (myths) that are often said by their friends or family...

I agree with the research above (but the pros and cons are still there) because it was my first time playing gambling because of an invitation from my friend who said "gambling is a way to make money". now the days have passed and until now I still gamble but with controlled portions.

I'm a little curious, are there any mythical sentences above that make you all start gambling and can't stop gambling or even because the sentence above makes you a gambling addict or even stop gambling?

2323  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we hodling BTC or we are hodling Fiat?? on: August 06, 2022, 03:59:43 PM
...

In my opinion, BTC volatility is a powerful market wave that should keep investors in profit especially with DCA method. because if price is the major concern over the amount of BTC an investor is able to gather as prices keep fluctuating, it invariably means it is fiat he is holding and not BTC.
It will only be regarded as BTC holding if every price wave adds to it.
this is not weird, this is the reality that happens in the field...

with the increasingly expensive price of bitcoin it is impossible for those who are poor to have 1 Bitcoin, because he has to spend around $20k+ (current bitcoin rate) to be able to have 1 bitcoin, so it can now be subtly said that many bitcoin investors are holding fiat not bitcoin (because they buy bitcoin at their fiat rate and then sell it with the aim of making a profit (fiat).
2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which token should I use for my investment ? on: August 06, 2022, 03:02:50 PM
Currently most altcoins are tokens, according to research more than 85% are tokens and ERC20 is the largest token because if totaled, the market capitalization can reach more than 50%, of course there are many choices for us to choose but I recommend investing in tokens that have a reputation strong like Trustwalet, Brave wallet, etc.
trust wallet token and BAT (brave wallet token) are good recommendations...

trust wallet is one of the crypto wallets that 90% of crypto users all over the world own, besides that brave also must have a lot of amazing users out there so that for the future the two tokens are really promising. I also want to add safepal as a recommendation, what I see safepal wallet has an incredibly large number of users too.
2325  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka Economic Crisis is Getting Worse on: August 06, 2022, 02:02:45 PM
Now China and India are contesting who's to save Sri Lanka from sinking deeper. But the Chinese have more money to offer although with high interests but there is nothing Sri Lanka can do as they need immediate assistance otherwise trouble will start once again. The Chinese also have remaining high stakes in the country and have control of a big port and probably more establishments and projects there, so it is most likely that the Sri Lankan government will allow them to dictate a recovery plan. I only hope that the Chinese will not deploy warships, warplanes, and military in the country because it will cause more trouble with neighboring India.
Tensions between China and India have been heating up again since Sri Lanka collapsed because of their debt to China...

Controlling Sri Lanka is China's first step to controlling South Asia, the economy is the biggest reason China is trying to control South Asia and of course India will try to break China's dominance in South Asia, if India wants to help Sri Lanka then they must be ready to pay off Sri Lanka's debts.
2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man Collapses after Allegedly Losing a $400 Loan at a Betting Shop on: August 06, 2022, 01:02:06 PM
This is really concerning because, in a third-world country, $400 is a huge amount...

use your brain and logic, this is what everyone should encourage everyone around them because many people out there especially gamblers in poor areas do not have any concern for their future and their families. in my country, $400 can be pay rent for half a year and I would prioritize paying the rent rather than having to spend it all on gambling.
2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I doing the right thing on: August 06, 2022, 11:15:46 AM
How can a newbie invest in good altcoins? I know about BTC and ETH but I think I can make more money from altcoins instead of BTC and ETH, I did my research and I have a few projects in mind but I don't know if they are worthy..

Avalanche, Mina protocol, Phala network and Aleph Zero to name a few
In-depth research is what you must do so as not to lose in the future...

Of the four altcoins you mentioned above, I recommend Avalanche more than the others because Avalanche already has a strong foundation and also a large enough community that will definitely become a price stronghold, for the others, I rarely hear news about them.
2328  Economy / Economics / Re: Surprisingly, Elon's Tesla is not so keen on hodling BTC anymore on: August 06, 2022, 10:01:44 AM
With the crypto winter and BTC prices looking bearish, Tesla CEO and Space X founder, Elon Musk has shipped off 75% of his shares in Bitcoin. This news comes as a surprise after his proclamation in March where he was adamant on selling his coins.
Tesla had about 42,000 bitcoins at the start of Q2 but had to sell off the majority of its coins at $29,000
From the 2nd quarter report gathered by the company, it was revealed that the coins were sold for $963m and still has a reserve " digital asset" left of about $218m should he see the need to sell off.
In February last year, Tesla purchased a whooping $1.5m worth of crypto and this move helped to push the value of BTC and enthusiasts labeled him the de facto  "crypto leader" but that status quickly changed the moment he renounced the acceptance of BTC as payment for his goods.

Its believed that the steep decline in BTC price was what fuelled the rush to sell off. What do we make of this move? Is there a plan to bounce back when the market becomes favorable, or is the beginning of the end for Elon and crypto? https://techcrunch.com/2022/07/20/tesla-dumped-75-of-its-bitcoin-holdings/
many people expected the Bitcoin price to crash after Elon's announcement but it didn't happen...

Elon has become a businessman who only cares about profit, from the start he just tried to attract the sympathy of bitcoiners and the world by saying he loves bitcoin even though he doesn't at all, once he does that then people will no longer believe what he says about bitcoin.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: August 05, 2022, 06:05:16 PM
There are thousands of altcoins circulating in the market, but your investment choices should only be a few...

Promising investments in the next year (altcoins) are certainly those that have real and massive uses, such as bnb, cake and others.

2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think metaverse have a place in the world on: August 05, 2022, 04:08:23 PM
Do you think that Metaverse will actually work out in the future? I am one of the very few that believes that Metaverse won't be successful because what the world cares about the most is the most needy, I asked myself if metaverse is really needy and I can't seem to find an answer, what about you?/
over time, humans will definitely depend on the metaverse...

metaverse is a form of real technological development, with people getting busier then efficiency is needed, one of the advantages of metaverse is that you don't need to attend meetings from one country to another, just use metaverse then you are where you should be is at. but for metaverse tokens, some will be used for real, some will not.
2331  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Platform Exchanges Di Indonesia on: August 04, 2022, 11:15:00 AM

2332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you stop gamble if your girl friend insists ? on: August 04, 2022, 10:40:00 AM
honestly, men and women have the same thoughts about gambling...

You may be able to hear your boy/girlfriend's words in front of them but you will find it difficult to listen to his/her words behind his/her back. in that relationship "honesty and openness" is important so that there is no future betrayal. Tell your partner that you will try to reduce the gambling habit and hope that your partner will support it.

2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 30, 2022, 08:19:18 PM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now?
this is absolutely not true, in fact, new altcoins are at very high risk of scam (not having value)...

Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
bad idea if you invest based on other people's advice, after all, you have to be a very critical person, don't get carried away easily with other people's choices if you don't want to lose, especially advice from someone who is also a beginner in the market and has no experience. the safest thing you can do is only invest in altcoins that are in the top 20 of CMC.
2336  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 30, 2022, 07:36:27 PM
After the global epidemic that started in 2019, there were problems not only in football but also in all sports branches. However, sports branches that appealed to the audience live, such as football, were more affected.

Even if normalization begins towards the end of last season, we are getting ready to enter a season that we can call normal.

In this process, especially for football, I think that the big teams lose more power in general. Because supporter support is one of the most important criteria. This season, we will have a more normal season and I think we can watch better matches. Of course, we may also be entering a more enjoyable period for betting.
although the latest variant of corona continues to appear, everything related to sporting events is normal...

we have seen that supporters are free to enter the stadium with their attributes without having to keep their distance and are required to wear masks again, this is proof that all the restrictions imposed by the government have been relaxed and we can relax without worrying anymore to support and bet on our favorite football team.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: July 30, 2022, 07:05:52 PM
To me both look good, investing in gold first or BTC later, but I'm confused by the current market conditions especially in terms of ROI, who is the fastest to move on?
if you expect the fastest move (ROI) for your investment then BTC is the answer...

today (based on CMC) bitcoin price is around $24,500. and a few weeks ago the price of bitcoin was in the range of $19k++, from my explanation above you should be able to conclude for yourself how quickly the price of bitcoin changes, while gold is a stable investment, it is difficult for you to make big profits in a short time.

##actually, you are in the wrong section, this is the altcoin section, not discussing gold or bitcoin
2338  Economy / Economics / Re: (over)population - doomsters vs boomsters on: July 30, 2022, 06:38:51 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI1AaZ9OkH8

An interesting video on the topic of potential overpopulation of Earth. The doomers say that the growth is unsustainable and will result in a catastrophe, the boomers like Elon Musk are saying that we actually need more people and that society will crumble if population will keep declining, like it does in many countries.

The conclusion of this video is that most scientist think that the global population will grow at little bit more and then will shrink a little bit and stabilize around the sustainable level.

What do you think?
I've also watched this debate about over-population in a video on YouTube...

I agree with the opinion of one party who says that;

"actually we are not over-populated (now or in the future), it's just that the distribution of humans is uneven (accumulating in big cities only), this is what causes the earth to look like over-population even though not at all"

regeneration is important and humans need new people to keep the human population alive.

2339  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin is King on: July 29, 2022, 03:50:26 PM
A small historical reminder that bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that has remained in its positions for many years:

Now, during the crypto-winter period, I increasingly see people's opinions that in order to preserve value, to diversify their investments, you need to invest in the top 10 cryptocurrencies, because they symbolize reliability, value and definitely will not leave the market. But are these people wondering if the cryptocurrencies they see as diversification will still be in their top 10 spots in, say, 3 years?

Leaders change, depreciate, get stuck in terms of development and price growth, and only one asset remains unchanged. Bitcoin.
bitcoin is not resisted and will not be displaced from its position...

From the history that happened to the top 10 CMC, I see that XRP has fallen the most drastically, currently, XRP continues to be below the top 3, and it will be difficult for XRP to return to take position 2. those who invest in XRP will definitely regret holding their tokens for the long term because the ratings keep dropping, only bitcoin rank is absolute.
2340  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [TANYA] kembali terjun ke bounty on: July 29, 2022, 03:11:59 PM
