2341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: July 29, 2022, 02:06:27 PM
What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. He also said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not be mined so that Bitcoin will not be able to hold its own position.

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?
2025 bitcoin will not axist? the future of bitcoin is certainly very certain and will not be disturbed by the government...

but the nature of bitcoin is that the price is very volatile, in the future you will definitely see bitcoin go down to 50% of its ATH and up 100% of its ATL. every day the price of bitcoin is uncertain and that's the interesting part of bitcoin.
2342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 100k or more in 2022? on: July 29, 2022, 01:45:06 PM
Will Bitcoin hit 100k or more in 2022?

Or a new All-Time High (ATH) in 2022?

What is your opinion and what do you think is necessary for this to happen?

You can view Prices and Dates since All-Time High (ATH) at https://coincryptoprice.com/ath/
discussing the future of bitcoin price will never end...

many predict that bitcoin will not touch $20k but a few weeks ago bitcoin touched below $20k. 2022 is only 5 months left and bitcoin has great potential to stop at any price including $100k, if you have the money then there's nothing wrong with buying bitcoin at the current price, you won't lose.

to be honest this is quite a tough competition from betnomi (because many have given the best slogans)... Grin

btw, this is my submission;

  • Betnomi - "bet now and win everything"
  • Betnomi - "Bet without worry"

##wish me good luck

2345  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [TANYA] kembali terjun ke bounty on: July 22, 2022, 08:45:48 PM

2346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back above $22K realized price on: July 22, 2022, 08:30:32 PM
When i saw Bitcoin reached 24k i was happy and i never think that price will drop again , but just a sudden i saw Bitcoin going down and now it on the state of 22k. I just call what happened to bitcoin as the beginning of cryptocurrency correction in the market. Is not surprised to me that Bitcoin will grow again after this falling and i believe that as it leave the values of 17k it will not fall back to such value again, the little increase Bitcoin just experience investors are happy
when I read the news about tesla selling their bitcoins and the price didn't drop drastically at that time I was relieved because bitcoin definitely won't fall again (below 20k)...

but there are still predictions from some people that bother me, it is news about that this is just a fake bull. let's keep an eye on the market and always be prepared for market conditions.
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 22, 2022, 07:49:44 PM
Over the week, a friend and I had a conversation about loans and loan apps and she shared a bitter experience of how she was unable to write a very important exam because the money meant for payment of fees to qualify for that exam was deducted by a certain loan app that she collected money from a while ago.  Who will you really blame? My friend for not paying up as at when due or the loan app for not notifying her before the deduction.
In all, I advice that we should try to avoid any business with loan apps as they seem to be very numerous these days and are easily accessible. Most importantly, You should know that you are at the danger of developing a habit of borrowing from them if you patronise loan apps even for the smallest amount.
from the much news about online loans, I conclude that only use it when you really need it (emergency cases that cannot be postponed)...

Many of my neighbors also do online loans but they haven't had any problems until now, that's because they are on time in their obligations (paying debts). the point is never to use online loans for less useful things such as buying cellphones, bags or other luxury items. because when it is due, you will be confused about paying it off and finally the people from the online lending company will make it difficult for you with your personal data.
2348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 20, 2022, 08:05:25 PM
I don't get the "trying your luck via gambling" thing. You could try your luck without betting money on it. Grin
Unfortunately most of the people gamble because of that hidden subconscious thought that they will make a "big hit" and they will win big money without any efforts. This is basically your "monkey mind" playing tricks on you. I remember that the subconscious mind was called "monkey mind" by buddhism and keeping your monkey mind under control is the most important part of growing as a person.
I'm no expert in Chinese culture and we have to ask some Chinese guy about the theory of gambling being a big part of Chinese culture.
My culture definitely doesn't require me to gamble. Gambling is still viewed as a bad thing where I live, despite many people visiting the offline casinos and playing lottery.
right, I've read about that "monkey mind" too...

but they say that religion and culture can't be unified, gambling on Chinese holidays has become their tradition long before Buddhism emerged, so they are like carrying out a tradition, not religious teaching.

Judging by a Chinese proverb that says something like this, that if you don't gamble, you will never be able to find out how lucky you are, then yes, this tradition is to try your luck for yourself, but again, it doesn't oblige you to anything. The population of Macau is about 700,000 people, but at the same time it is visited by almost 40 million tourists a year and the majority are Chinese residents.
besides vegas, Macau is a tourist destination for gambling lovers all over the world, people don't look for natural beauty here. reportedly Macau has not opened up yet but in the near future, Macau will start to open of course with restrictions on visitors (from foreign countries).

Gambling is part of Chinese culture. It is seen as the right way to test luck, especially on holidays like Chinese New Year, as well as to get rid of bad luck.

I was quite surprised when I read this article for the first time because they gamble not for money or pleasure but because of the culture to test luck.

this does sound funny but what do you do if it turns out that your culture requires you to play gambling?

slightly diverting from the topic above, I'm interested in Mark Griffiths' research;

Quote
Mark Griffiths, a psychologist at Nottingham Trent University who specializes in addictive behavior says that gamblers have a lot of motivation for their habit.
In a survey of 5,500 gamblers, the prospect of “winning big money” was the strongest factor. But then followed by "because it's fun" and "because it's fun".

"Even when you lose a gamble, your body still produces adrenaline and endorphins," he says.

“People buy entertainment.”

Not much is known about the design of these machines on player behavior, but, for example, many machines and casinos use red or something similar – which is considered more stimulating.

And interestingly, there are examples of cases where gamblers develop “shadow-skills” as a justification for earning those possible rewards.

Griffiths gave the example of a game engine in the UK which was designed with the adaptive logic in mind that the device would deliver more than the consumer was given over a period of time, and after that the device would return to the normal system.

This means that some players will try to find (or “skim”) machines that have not hit the jackpot, hoping they will be there when the machine hits the jackpot.

All of these research findings conclude that gambling is not always about winning, but rather the process of betting – and the other factors surrounding it that make it fun.

Although gambling addiction cannot be explained simply – sometimes there are many reasons that lead to addiction in a person – but it is certainly interesting to see how the fun is related to the structure and style of the game played.

And even when gambling isn't a problematic obsession, it's still entertaining for those who go home with empty pockets.
link-

I am interested in making this topic because the debate between gambling for money or entertainment is still very long, now I add that some people gamble to practice skills and also because it has become their culture (like the Chinese people)

btw, if you have a lot of free time you should read this topic too;
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 19, 2022, 04:33:50 PM

Money I think is one of the biggest motivators during our century that we are living in.People you will find do all sort of nasty sh*t for money or women as these two are the biggest "things" that make the world goes around as they say.The ego of different persons to have more money or more women has brought destruction to families and even to countries some times like the Russian war which is for the ego of one crazy man.The same for gambling, most say that they start for entertainment purposes only but you will see soon that they become hooked and even worse sometimes addicted.
Likewise many people start smoking in fun - but then they can't leave it.
Same is the case with gambling and alcohal - many people start it as a fun and pass time activity and they are hooked to it like crazy.
people are addicted to cigarettes or drinks because they are fused with their blood and mind, while gambling is not fused with blood, it only affects the mind...

money is the pleasure of many people so money is the biggest reason people play gambling but the pleasure of gambling is the number 2 reason people play, it can be said that the reason everyone plays gambling is "uncertain".

2355  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: July 06, 2022, 07:54:53 PM
Quote
Indonesia is the country with the cheapest cost of living in the world. In Indonesia, the average cost of living for one month is around US$340 or Rp. 4.8 million.

If I have to decide - I would go to Indanisa - because that is beautiful place and there is so much nature to be explored.
Also I like the homes and the interior of the Indonesian people. Indonesia has always been in my bucket list. I will sure be going there soon.
Nature is nice, but honestly that would be about the last thing on my list of attributes for an ideal place to build a sig campaign castle.  There's plenty of it in my immediate vicinity for me to enjoy right now, but as far as I'm concerned it's just meh.

The style of homes on the other hand IS if concern to me.  Is it possible to construct a new home in Indonesia or any of the many countries that have been mentioned in this thread so far?  That was never a definite plan, but it's always been in the back of my mind to build an actual castle-type structure.  You know, with a stone exterior, turrets, and a general medieval feel to it--and also a dungeon for a basement where it's possible to get a wi-fi signal.
based on statistics, the spread of the internet in Indonesia has reached 73% so it is very possible to build a house underground and still get internet access even though the conditions are in the middle of the forest...

In Indonesia, western people (or what we usually call Bule) will live peacefully and comfortably here, I have a friend from Holland who I have known for a long time, he is with his wife and 1 child and he has lived in Bukit Lawang for more than 6 years, he said he is very happy here because he loves orangutans and also Indonesian hospitality.

If you like the atmosphere of the beach and underwater scenery, then Sabang is the most recommended tourist destination.
I like neither of those things, but Sabang does look beautiful and I'd never heard of it before.  Thanks for the info and the pics!
I've been to Sabang and to be honest, although the nature there is beautiful, there are some things that make Sabang unattractive. for westerners it is better to live in the area of Bali or Sumbawa. besides the beautiful nature, its citizens really appreciate people from foreign countries.
2356  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: (Q&A)Apa alasan anda bergabung ke situs bitcointalk? on: July 05, 2022, 04:11:46 PM
penyebab terbesar orang orang baru (newbie) gagal mendapatkan apa yang mereka ingin kan (pada umumnya uang) di forum ini adalah;

2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 04, 2022, 07:40:39 AM
Dump but not collapse, we've seen many dumps in the past but it turns out it's just normal in the crypto space. Why people like to invest in crypto is because of its high volatility, and despite of the dump, these people will not panic anymore because they are optimistic that the market will recover, so that's the same mentality gamblers have.
agree, but in fact not everyone has a mentality that is fully convinced of the market...

when the price of btc drops, their focus is disturbed because of concerns about the price. and this is why gambling sites that have their own tokens have many users who really don't like market volatility (so as not to disturb their focus on gambling). I use a trick, to deposit I use the token provided by the gambling site but when I win, I will immediately make a withdrawal and then convert my winnings to bitcoin as my investment.

2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 02, 2022, 08:02:28 AM
Not only using or other altcoins, but those gamblers who gamble on a special platform will use the Platform Token as payment. The impact when the market crashes as it is today will certainly affect the value of bitcoin or altcoins used.
even bitcoin or gambling investors are affected.
this is indeed a risk, but when the price starts bullish everything will be fine.
the reason for the volatility of bitcoin that makes me only play gambling on sites that provide their own tokens like betfury...

I prefer to use bitcoin as an investment only!

from the beginning, I noticed that the price movement of the BFG token was very stable (and not so affected by the market) which made me not really think about the volatility of the crypto market.
2359  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [diskusi] Bagaimana Cara Mengatur Waktumu di Forum? on: June 29, 2022, 03:05:14 PM
...
Ane ngepost di sini bukan maksud apa-apa, ane cuma pengen tahu bagaimana cara mengatur waktu kalian se-efektik dan se-efisien mungkin,

2360  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's economy is 'imploding' on export decline, economists claim on: June 28, 2022, 01:27:45 PM
US has gas, US has money. Europe has money and Russia has gas. US is pushing war. Russia is saving its leftover ego. Europe wants to be US little brother and Ukraine is burning.. Russian economy will batter down, inflation will pull down Europe. US might finally win over communists But at the cost of unstable Europe.  Who will benefit from this? May be china and middle east, both producers of goods and oil.
Indirectly, the US and Russia are actually at war now, but Europe and Ukraine are the victims...

with the scarcity of European oil and gas, countries that did not intervene in the war, such as China and the Middle East, which had stable gas reserves, had massive purchases from Europe. this will last a long time because the US continues to push Europe to hold on to the sanctions they imposed on Russia.
