2261  Economy / Economics / Re: California sues Amazon, alleging its policies cause higher prices everywhere on: September 20, 2022, 07:06:17 PM
Is this a case of good competition, or are other motives at play?

Amazon is so big it can pretty much act like a monopoly. If you want to sell at Amazon, you may have to lower the price or even sell at a loss. Many think that their products being sold at Amazon is a commercial by itself.
So it's a complicated issue and I would not be surprised that everybody who sells at a loss at Amazon, will try to recover that loss somewhere else.
Maybe this is what "California" is implying? I don't know. It will be a very interesting case, however.

what amazon is practicing is actually also being done by other e-commerce around the world, so I'm not really surprised if the California government tries to warn amazon about the possibility of monopoly and also other illegal practices that cause small traders to lose competitiveness with big traders.
I think the regulation on e-commerce needs to be tightened again because the competition in it is getting more and more unhealthy.

2263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 17, 2022, 07:11:17 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?

At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?

don't panic and don't make a loss sale...

the thing you have to do is hold until the price goes up again or buy more if the price goes down to reduce losses when the price goes up. The point is, don't be afraid because the price of bitcoin is very volatile and unstable, so $18k is not the final bitcoin price.
2264  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 15, 2022, 04:11:14 PM
In my country, there is still a strong mindset that the old are those who should relax and retire with any activities...

persistent failures, economic factors, and support from the surrounding environment are the main factors for old people lazy to take advantage of their old age to produce works such as writing or drawing.

I have a neighbor who is 70 years old, after I investigated it turned out that when he was young he was a playwright but had stopped at the age of 40, now he is lazy to write scripts and prefers to do nothing at home.

2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trident Protocol on: September 14, 2022, 06:08:54 PM
Trident Protocol is a very good project.  It is sponsored by Irfan Pak.  The current market situation where Bitcoin price is going up and down is very worrying but hopefully our Trident protocol is going to perform very well in the market.
I hope the trident protocol is not like other new projects that ended badly...

I noticed the majority of new projects will end in failure due to the unsustainable development process and also have a great response but new projects are still in demand by investors who want to try betting. For all who invest their funds on trident protocol, good luck, and do it at your own risk.
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: September 14, 2022, 05:36:05 PM
I agree with you that During a bull run, you can buy altcoins, but during a bear market, it is better to sell because they are the most volatile and some altcoins will remain dead.
Awesome suggestion!!  Cheesy
So, it is recommended to buy some altcoins in the bullish period, then selling them during the bearish season.
Is that what you mean exactly?  Undecided

Common investors should agree that bearish is a time to hold or buy. While bullrun is the time for selling or accumulating profits.

LOL To be honest, I'm really surprised that someone suggested something like this...

Buying when it's bullish and selling when it's bearish is a common thing for newbies who are still afraid and don't believe in the future of the market. for those who do that, they will definitely end up with bad luck for selling at a loss.

buy when the market is bearish and sell when the market is bullish is the right thing to do Grin

2269  Economy / Economics / Re: India as a developed country by 2047 on: September 13, 2022, 02:41:34 PM
India can easily achieve that goal within the speculated timeline however there is one problem with the Indian infrastructure and the way things work in there. For example, lately I have seen so many news about corrupt politicians and how multi millions of dollars in cash form were ceased from their houses! Imagine if those politicians would have used it for the work which they were intended the development could keep forwarding on success path all the time.

I think they are already on to it so it’s good that some good digging is actually happening.
The thing that slows a country from developing to developed is corruption...

India is one of the countries with the largest population in the world and its citizens are spread in almost all countries but human resources in India are still low because corruption is still high (just like my country), developed countries have clean governments and are far from corruption, that clearly distinguishes that developed countries have luck because their leaders are not greedy.
2270  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 12, 2022, 03:08:34 PM
...

🗝️🗝️ Rich people are eager to learn but the poor people are not eager to learn. Most millionaires in the United States were not born millionaires, they learnt how to build wealth. The more they learn, the more they understand the world. 🗝️🗝️

Reference: https://novamoney.com/blog/5-key-differences-between-a-rich-mindset-and-a-poor-mindset

Conclusion
👉👉Recognize where you stand and how you would like to move forward. Having a poor mindset may made your poor forever. The mindset you have will determine the level of your achievement.

👉👉Never get confused about your recent status. Confusion brings distracted and lack of focus. It never to late for a change in mindset. Work on yourself, think positively, be focus, have a dream and work towards your dream to achieve great success.
without a goal then humans will only walk without a goal (finish line)...

those who are millionaires today are those who want to learn, work smart and make more money than spend it, they know what they are going to do and also they realize that life is a struggle with big goals. Motivational sentences are not just sentences that are only read but must be practiced by everyone if want to be successful in life.
2271  Economy / Economics / Re: Which fiat money are you holding right now in case of emergency needs? on: September 12, 2022, 12:13:46 PM
...

What are your plans? I want to get an answer, especially from Europeans cause we all lost 12% of our money in a matter of days.
'Worry' is the most felt impact of the war, and I'm sure many people are preparing their savings...

I may not be from Europe but I also secure my future and family with little fiat savings, what I prepare is my local currency and Australian dollars. why I chose the Australian dollar, it's because I see they are very stable and it looks like Australia is not badly affected by the war (between Ukraine and Russia that is going on).
2272  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 06, 2022, 11:10:14 PM
Money is a good follower, but is a poor leader.

Money will always lead you astray, but it will follow you well.

Any man that seeks to follow money becomes misled.
Money is meant to follow you, while you are meant to follow value.  Create value, solve problems, and do it well, you'll attract people to follow you; remember, money follows people with value.

What's your take on this?
I really still remember what my teacher said when I was in college, 'money is not everything but everything needs money'...

if we are still in the barter era then maybe we don't need money because we can barter with whatever we have but now is a different era, if we need money then we have to sell our goods or services. The more valuable the goods or services we offer, the greater the value of money we get, this is the quality of a human being should be.

2274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1k to 10k Challenge Update, I MADE IT! on: September 05, 2022, 01:37:18 AM
Some of you guys saw my posts and know that I started a 1k to 10000 challenge, where I fully document my journey (entry, when I close and daily update), after 19 Days, ups and downs. I can finally say proudly that I made it!! Been transparent since day 1, shared all the moves, never deleted any post or faked any shit and I am extremely proud of this achievement. 10k is not a big amount for me but the achievement is nice, also met a lot of fellow degens on the way, had a lot of fun with the community, the night trades/talks we had on tg.

All to say that I LOVE YOU CRYPTO!!!

Day 19 Final Update: https://twitter.com/shorterprince/status/1563150259991130112
I don't follow the development of your topic but I see you really motivate a lot of people...

It's not easy to reach $10k from $1k (I hope you mean dollars) if it's not accompanied by good knowledge and the right decisions.

at a time when market conditions are like today, many people are desperate, seeing you makes me even more convinced that trading with targets is something that all traders must do if want to be successful.
2275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS DEAD! on: September 03, 2022, 07:04:23 PM
Why everybody loves bitcoin? This is not fair

Sorry but this shit cannot worth even 19000$. BTC is overvalued

Bitcoin never wants to be at $19k, it's people who make Bitcoin worth $19k...

if you are jealous of bitcoin and say the love of bitcoin is not fair then sue everyone who loves bitcoin Tongue

No, it's not the world; it's the people.

2278  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 30, 2022, 07:55:07 PM
which of this casinos and gambling facts do you find most funny, amazing or surprising?
Lets discuss...
That is actually a pretty interesting set of facts, knew some of them before but others are really obscure. That's very bizarre about the numbers on a roulette wheel but then there is nothing particularly special about 666 in mathematical terms. That's pretty funny to read about inmates being allowed to gamble, but in reality they're doing that every day regardless of whether it is allowed or not. While it's to be expected that casinos would have a self exclusion list, it's even better that they don't allow you to override it later at any stage - this is something online casinos should collectively engage in. It's also pretty sad that people get so hooked that they cannot even tear themselves away from the tables for a toilet break, if you ever get that far then you really need to use that lifetime self exclusion option.
I was also surprised to read that prison in Nevada once opened a casino for inmates...

luckily it didn't last until now, otherwise, the prison is useless, imagine how many crimes would be created from prison if it was still happening today.

pee in the pants while gambling, I've heard about this for a long time, and it happens a lot in traditional casinos. a gambling addict will not care about the toilet because their focus is on the game they are playing, gambling business owners are required to make strict rules about this so that other players are not disturbed by these bad activities.
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 30, 2022, 07:10:42 PM
Chelsea vs Southampton is an interesting match that will determine if truly Chelsea will survive in this season or not, because Southampton will never allow Chelsea to win this match than to make it draw 1-1. Southampton coach is not too happy about the results they got from this season that made many people to doubt their winning in this match because their strikers are still struggle to score goals in this season.
so far Chelsea just lost (3-0) from Leeds and drew (2-2) from Tottenham...

for the match against Southampton this time, I believe Chelsea can get full points and go home with a win. last April, Chelsea won 6-0 from Southampton, but this time chelsea has a different composition of players, winning by a thin score (2-0) may be what Chelsea will get (sterling scores 1 goal, wondering if there will be another goal created).
2280  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: August 30, 2022, 06:12:51 PM
In my opinion, it creates a big problem for EU. If Russia cannot sell gas for EU, they will earn less money but they still sell it, for example, Asia nations. In the side of EU, they are meeting the seriously scarcity of gas and food. They choose to decrease the gas in the WINTER.
this news is valid...

Quote
In the second quarter of 2020, Russia's current account was recorded at US$ 70.1 billion. This is higher than the previous quarter's record of US$ 68.38 billion.

Russia's central bank (Central Bank of Russia / CBR) itself at the beginning of last month reported that in the January-July 2022 period, the current account recorded a surplus of US $ 166 billion or around Rp. 2,473 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 14,900/US$). According to CBR, this estimate is more than three times the same period in 2021 at US$ 50 billion.

The large current account surplus was caused by declining imports while exports soared due to high energy commodity prices. In addition to crude oil, there is natural gas and coal which are insanely expensive.

Asia is the target of sales of crude oil, natural gas, and coal from Russia, while EU countries continue to buy oil and natural gas from Asian countries such as India, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

From the scenario that is still happening until now, the beneficiaries of this war are Russia and Asian countries which are buyers of natural commodities from Russia, while the ones who lose are EU countries that impose sanctions.

Honestly, this is really pathetic, as if this war is happening for a profit.
