761  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 22, 2021, 05:34:00 AM
Well has anyone here confirmed their bank account via manually with the two deposits and it worked?  This was what I did years ago to manually link my bank account.

So if this is able to be done, then i will choose this metho.
762  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 22, 2021, 04:59:45 AM
Well what I want to know is... could i manually verify my bank account with the two deposit verification and that is just the same as the plaid verification?

I asked this in my question and nobody answered this part...

Again im verifying it with my bank account but i do not want to connect it via plaid...
763  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gemini Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 21, 2021, 05:14:32 PM
I want to use gemini.  But i wanted to know if i could add bank account manually... with the two small bank deposits... such as would that be the same as using plaid.

So has anyone verified their bank account with gemini via two small bank deposits?  If so, no issue depositing/withdrawing ACH in the future?
764  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 21, 2021, 05:09:43 PM
Well what I wanted to know is... is it fine manually linking my bank account to coinbase where they deposit two small amounts... compared to the plaid method where you need to enter your bank online details?

I would like to use coinbase so i know about KYC.  Again i was verified years ago but wanted to know if manual linking to it... where i just need to confirm two bank small deposits is just the same as the plaid.
765  Economy / Exchanges / Gemini Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 21, 2021, 04:59:24 AM
I recently created gemini account and verified just my email address.  I see the next step is add payment to start trading and also upload id to raise limits and allow withdraws.

For adding payment, is automatically link bank account the same as manually link bank account as in getting verified?

I saw first option is bank account recommended and that is fast but then it ask me to input my bank online details which im not comfortable with.  I read online that people do this has to go through plaid... and if you do that, you need to change your credentials/passwords immediately after that?

But with manual link bank account, you just wait for two deposits and verify it but thats 5 days.  Will either of these methods mean i could deposit/withdraw ach with no issue?

I heard some people said with gemini you need to do a wire deposit in order to use it which is not what i want because my bank charges a fee for a wire.

I assume most people here verify their account via plaid and sign in with their online banking information?  Then few people do the manual bank verification where you put your banking and routing number and wait for the two small deposits and then confirm  it?  But does this method mean you do not need to do a wire to verify your account?  And the last option most people use is the wire option since your bank charges you a fee for that?
766  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 21, 2021, 04:52:24 AM
Opened an account at coinbase years ago. Submitted my verification years ago. I remembered linking my BoA checking account and sending in my US passport to get verified. I have never ever deposited any funds from my BoA to coinbase nor have I ever withdraw anything from coinbase. I never even done a trade on coinbase ever.

However, not long ago, I sent some btc from my wallet to coinbase to keep it there. Thus just have some btc there on coinbase.

When I check my coinbase account now, when I click on Buy/Sell, it says

You're almost ready to buy. Please complete your account. To make an investment, please add a payment method

So I click on Bank account right? I see other options are paypal, debit card and wire transfers. But when I click on bank account, it wants to use Plaid to connect to my bank account? When I click on BoA, I am suppose to enter my BoA online banking information? If so, is that safe? But after doing this, then my bank account is added? I'm confused here because many years ago when I got verified, I remember verifying the same bank of america account years ago. So is this new and everyone need to do it?  I do see the option of adding bank account manually where they make two deposits and you verify it but that takes up to 5 days.  Does that work?

767  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on Binance Without KYC via Safepal? on: November 19, 2021, 05:39:34 PM
Few questions on this then.

So safepal is a hardware wallet but you don't need to buy this hardware wallet to use it?  Is that correct?  So is it like a wallet you download like electrum or its more like an online wallet like blockchain where you log into the website?

Trustwallet is more like online wallet like blockchain as oppose to electrum right?

So the person that posted pictures of using safepal, you bought and sold and withdrew with no issue but did it with tiny amount.  But i got to assume the fees are a lot higher than compared to using binance normally?  Because binance fees are 0.1% correct?  So how much are the fees when using safepal?  And is it always flat fee?  Asking this because i like to buy certain coins on binance but can't do it anymore.

Now you mention they currently have a 2 btc withdraw limit.  So they always had that or it went down to that once binance changed their KYC?

So does this mean you could buy literally any coin on binance on safepal?

Are there people trade there on safepal actively?  But what if someone put a lot of money there?  Like imagine someone put 2 btc there and put that balance there to trade.  If safepal then does KYC, that mean that person would only be able to withdraw 0.06 btc max each time and get hit with a lot of fees?  But not only that, since they can't trade anymore and convert their btc to another coin to cut down on fees, they going to pay ton of fees?  So basically anyone that put a huge amount there, its risky if one day they ask for KYC and then you can't withdraw it all at once>?
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 18, 2021, 07:11:26 PM
Has anyone here just stored everything in coinbase or gemini and make sure their two factor authorization is set to google authenticator or authy and then that was good enough?
769  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: November 18, 2021, 05:52:10 PM
@jerry0

AFAIK, and as I said in a previous post a few months ago, it should be okay to exchange gambling funds. I would still suggest you read the TOS though, just to be safe.

I couldn't find anything on Neteller's official website but according to this article, the crypto-withdrawal service is only available for 10 countries, including the UK, Chile, Canada, and Australia. The rest of the countries hasn't been mentioned but I still doubt that the U.S is among them.

An alternative to Neteller withdrawal service or CEXes would be to just exchange with other individuals. If you're not willing to verify your identity, then the currency exchange board or localCryptos is the way to go. When doing so, I suggest you be transparent about the source of the funds, as some people can be against it as well.

Hey.  Yes I heard that recently neteller allows you to actually withdraw the crypto to your own crypto wallet address now.  They do mention ten countries but i wanted to know the full list of them.  My neteller is non-US.
I mentioned I'm a US citizen though but im abroad outside the US basically all year.  Thus I could only access my non US neteller account only when abroad.  So i wanted to know if anyone had the full list of the ten countries that Neteller is allowing you to withdraw your crypto in neteller to your own wallet.  Again, if I could do this, I wouldn't need to look for someone or an exchange for this.

The source of funds will be always a problem , when we talk about receive in wallets such paypal, neteller or skrill,

Can put us in a danger position, and funds and the account frozen, sometimes for investigation.  Many cases of this was happenned in Brazil around 3 years ago, when the wallets was banned fron sportbooks and casino, and was made some kind of "private services" to contouring this.

Its all about trust and feeling i guest,

But he walks from topic in topic looking for the best "rates" can be a good indicator for the legitimacy of the funds.

My 2 cents

Yea I get what you mean with the legitimacy of the funds and that is why some people wouldn't want to accept neteller or skrill funds if they were fraudulent funds.

Yea I had my neteller account for many years and have used it all the time for depositing/withdrawing into gambling sites etc.  And thus I normally trade it with a few contacts of mine who i been trading for years for their boa/zelle.

So that is why im looking for a way to trade my neteller funds for btc/crypto for a small or no fee etc.  Again I normally trade my neteller USD funds with few contacts of mine for boa/zelle.  Yea if anyone is selling their neteller or paypal etc and giving a few discount, obviously you should stay away from it and those funds are most likely fraudulent.  Thus that is why im looking for the best rates for it since my funds are legit.  I mean, im not going to pay 10% fee to convert my neteller for btc/crypto etc.

The source of funds will be always a problem , when we talk about receive in wallets such paypal, neteller or skrill,
-snip-

Skrill and Neteller both deal with gambling sites, so that's probably not an issue. The issue here is whether Paybis allow these transactions or not.
Yes, they are allowing this because I talk to support about this, and they reply is as under you can check.
But I will never recommend this because they are taking fees which is very high, we have some better options available here on this forum for this exchange.

Hey.  So how much fees is it to convert from neteller to btc/crypto?  From looking at that pictures, its total of 8%?  If so, thats really high.

But do you know if a US citizen could create an account there?  Again im a US citizen that is abroad and outside the US almost all year.  So years ago, I created a neteller account and sent in my nonUS verification documents to get verified and got verified with neteller.  I had used my nonUS utility bill to do this.  They accepted my US documents since I'm outside the US and had a nonUS utility bill in my name.  So I sent in the same verification documents to many gambling sites a while back so thats how I could play on those sites.

Again if neteller allowed me to buy crypto on their site and withdraw that crypto to my crypto wallet... then I wouldn't need to look for someone to trade etc.  Though I do see neteller charges a fee to buy crypto but its less than 2% from what I recall which to me is still fair though much more expensive than most sites.
770  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: November 17, 2021, 11:25:38 PM
I took a look at the FAQ on paybis but it doesn't mention anything about no US citizens allowed etc.  It just says you need to have identification sent in.

So wanted to know if anyone has experience on this.

Yes I have neteller funds that are USD.  Again I usually trade it for someone else's zelle/Boa but the issue is lately the people i traded with have not needed it.  These are ppl who i traded with for a while etc.  Okay so you want to have neteller USD?  Do you normally need it?
771  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: November 17, 2021, 09:48:21 PM
Thanks for that information.  Okay that makes sense for them to do KYC for neteller since well they have to make sure those are your neteller funds and are legit.

But is there any issue if you are a US Citizen though with a US passport with a neteller account?  The reason why I could use neteller is because I'm abroad basically all year and outside the US and have a utility bill in my name so I used that as my verification documents years ago and neteller was okay with that.  Thus i use those neteller funds to deposit into gambling sites and then withdraw back to neteller.  Then when i want to trade these neteller funds for US funds, I have few people that would trade their zelle/boa for my neteller.  But right now not much people need neteller so i want a way to convert it to crypto at least.

That conversion fee is quite expensive.  I did read neteller recently allowed you to withdraw your crypto funds to your own wallet but its mentions its only 8 countries only. Does anyone know what countries those are?  Because if they allowed all countries, then obviously i wouldn't need to do this and could just convert neteller to btc and withdraw it to my own wallet.
772  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paybis exchange? on: November 17, 2021, 08:53:46 PM
Could I convert my Neteller USD (Gambling Funds) into btc or any crypto on this site and withdraw that crypto to my own wallet?  If so, do you need any KYC or not?  And what are the fees for this?
773  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance vs Kucoin vs FTX... Which to go with (KYC non issue)? on: November 17, 2021, 06:50:49 PM
For a US citizen that would be using it abroad mostly but still want to use it in the US, how is kucoin and ftx?  I thought i heard ftx requires KYC?  Or is it like you could withdraw up to so and so a day without kyc?  What about kucoin?  Also Im from NY so that is another restriction that might come into play?

Because I cannot use binance.US nor kraken nor even those sites like celcius, nexo, etc due to my state.  So coinbase and gemini are the only ones i could use here legally.
774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: November 17, 2021, 06:26:07 PM
Okay so the thing is I cannot use binance anymore due to them requiring KYC.  Thus last time I had funds in binance and I had to sell my altcoin for btc and then withdraw to my own btc wallet.

Reason I cannot do KYC to keep using binance is because I'm a US citizen that was basically living abroad all the time.  So back then when I used binance, I only logged in and used it while abroad and thus always with a non US ip address.  I never had to use a vpn since I was abroad.  But since they require KYC not long ago, I had to withdraw my funds.

So based on that, I can't use binance anymore since I can't trade anymore right?  Im confused because people here said you could actually convert neteller USD to btc and then withdraw to your own wallet?

The bisq... can I do that in my situation?

Again i want to convert my neteller USD funds into crypto.  Doesn't matter if its btc or whichever crypto it is.  I also do not want to pay a huge fee... like imagine a 10% fee which would be ridiculous.  Is there a way to pay like 3% or so or even less or is that not possible in my situation?
775  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Apps Update Question on Nano Ledger S? on: November 15, 2021, 10:06:52 PM
So I'm still using the current firmware for the nano ledger s as the last firmware update was earlier this year in May I believe.  Now I read that apparently many apps like bitcoin app now has increased in size?  Such that now... you could only have two apps installed at once?  Is that correct?

At the moment, i have three apps installed, bitcoin, bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold.  I only have coins in bitcoin and bitcoin cash though.  Does this mean when I connect my nano ledger s to my laptop, I have to install the new bitcoin and bitcoin cash app version update?  I haven't connected it to my laptop in a month or so and usually I do that.  But I haven't since I haven't heard of any firmware update but I do know to try to at least connect it once a month or two months to my laptop to make sure its still working.

Is there a way to know without connecting my nano ledger to my laptop of the next bitcoin app version update?  The last time I connected my nano legder s to my laptop, when I went to apps, I notice all these apps I had were earlier versions so I then clicked on update all and each app updated to the current version.  But of course this is not the same as the firmware which is the most important.  So does this mean I need to first uninstall bitcoin gold first... before I update both bitcoin and bitcoin cash app?  But as of now even if I don't update the apps, I could send and receive btc or btc cash with no issue right?
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 15, 2021, 10:00:20 PM
Assuming you keep all your crypto is the most reputable exchanges... like coinbase or gemini and make sure your 2 factor authorization is not SMS and is google authenicator or authy, are there cases of your account getting hacked?

Now even if your phone was stolen or lost, as long as your iphone is locked with a passcode, then aren't your coins still going to be safe on coinbase or gemini though?  Thus if someone had access to your phone and its not locked and they see your google authenticator and authy, as long as they don't know what your coinbase/gemini username/password is... then its fine?  I know when i click on google authenticator on my phone, you see codes for coinbase/binance etc.

But the issue is if you lose your two factor authorization, how do you contact coinbase/gemini to fix the issue and get back your account?  Would having your passport and id documents be fine?  Or would you need your phone number tied to the account even though you use google authenticator or authy on it?
777  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on Binance Without KYC via Safepal? on: November 15, 2021, 09:34:42 PM
Okay so apparently safepal is a hardware wallet you need to buy.

Trustwallet is an online wallet like blockchain?  Or is it software like electrum?

But can you use either of them right now if you want to trade on binance?  Back then I could use binance because I was using it outside the US even though I am a US citizen until they required you to submit documents.  Thus I never once logged into my binance account once in the US when I was there.  But if i use trustwallet now, i could use binance?  But are the fees much more than with the regular binance?
778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: November 14, 2021, 11:29:50 PM
I meant if i convert my neteller to btc on neteller site... I cannot send that btc to my own wallet.  Apparently any btc you have on neteller... is kept on neteller.  Thus you could only trade it back to neteller funds and cannot send that btc to another btc address.  Apparently neteller only allows you to trade... without being able to withdraw the crypto.

Or am i making a mistake here?  Someone mentioned you can't withdraw your btc or any crypto on neteller to your own crypto wallet.  My neteller account is registered in a nonUS country as Im abroad most of the time and only use it abroad as I cannot use it while in the US.

I never heard of bisq.  Is that an exchange?  Again, I want to convert my neteller USD funds to either btc/crypto or zelle/boa.  Thing is previously I would always just trade my neteller with a few guys who would swap their zelle/boa with me.  But they don't need neteller at the moment.  So I want to know if there is a way to swap my neteller for btc/crypto or zelle/boa.  The thing is I want funds in my US bank account... but if can't... then I don't have getting btc/crypto instead.
779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Converting Neteller to BTC With Exchanges? on: November 14, 2021, 09:40:21 PM
Hi.  Looking for a bit of advice here.  I have neteller USD funds... these are gambling non US funds.  I would like to convert or swap it for btc or any crypto or zelle/boa.  Reason being I'm American from the US but I'm abroad a lot during the year so when i use neteller outside the US, I would deposit it on other gambling sites and play on those sites.

Then on those sites that I deposit into and play on, I either trade it for zelle/boa with some old contacts of mine who are contacts for many years who do trades or withdraw it back to neteller.  Thus imagine trading your neteller funds online with someone for their boa/zelle etc.  The thing is at the moment, none of my contacts seem to need neteller or online poker funds at the moment.  The reason why I cannot just cashout straight to my US bank account is because its not allowed since I do not have a foreign bank account active at the moment.  But even if I did, I know the fees to transfer it to that bank account and then back to my US bank account would incur lot of fees due to the currency exchange.

At first I saw neteller allows you to buy/sell crypto with neteller funds so I though great.  Because that way I just convert all my neteller funds to btc.  Then withdraw the btc to my own btc wallet.  Until I found out on neteller you can't even send btc to any wallet.  The btc stays in your neteller account... which just seem ridiculous.

My question is, does anyone know how I can convert my neteller USD funds into btc or any crypto in my situation?  Or into zelle or bank of america?

I know there are sites like localbitcoin and paxful but they charge a very high fee.  But are there any other alternatives?  I don't know anything about forex and exchanges like that... but do any sites allow you to deposit with neteller USD funds and buy crypto... then you can withdraw it to your own wallet?  If so, can anyone name them and what fees they charge?  Also I'm American so that might be possibly another issue if they ask for non US documents?  I have no issue playing on the nonUS sites because I got verified with them years ago with my nonUS utility bill etc.  And I only access these sites when I'm outside the US.

780  Economy / Exchanges / Trading on Binance Without KYC via Safepal? on: November 13, 2021, 06:16:44 PM
So I read this somewhere that someone mention it but not sure if its true.  But I remember someone said if you use safepal or trustwallet... im pretty certain it was safepal though... they said you could trade on binance without KYC.  Is this true or false?
