So Bulanula, the price went up in LTC/BTC when BTC/USD price went down....

Shows how much you don't know about what you claim to know.

Stop trolling for once dood.

LTC / BTC price went up because somebody has a ton of LTC and needs to pump up the price before they dump and make a killing.

Too bad the SEC can't get involved in this obvious pump and dump.
122  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASIC as a 51% "weapon"... Mmmm... I don't think so... on: July 03, 2012, 04:50:44 PM
Exactly. The LTC chain was developed by ArtForz and used a deliberately crappy version of scrypt ( weak parameters ) so that it could be mined with GPU from the start while the rest of us idiots mined with CPU and all this was kept secret from the SHEEP by coblee, ArtForz and other knowledgeable people.

Problem is, it was more profitable to GPU mine BTC than GPU mine LTC. Sounds like a nice scam they had going doesn't it?

Wrong. Just goes to show you who has been here since May 10 2011 and who hasn't.

At first the LTC price ( when it was only GPU mined by ArtForz and his buddies in secret and they had like 60% of the chain - lookup bigcpuminer guy and his GPU "botnet" ) was high and GPU mining then would make much more than BTC.

When SC folks released GPU miner they reached a balance and slowly it became more profitable to GPU mine BTC than LTC.

Price slowly reached 0.0005 due to GPU miners dumping publicly. Before Reaper release price was 0.0012.

Now somebody is pumping LTC like mad and price is back up.
123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ultra-Low-Cost DIY FPGA Miner - 175MH/s @ $1/MH on: July 03, 2012, 04:23:16 PM
Okay so it is veiled...

Can you not see the obvious ( and famous ) 4-6 weeks line ?

Looks more like 4-6 months for real BFL product shots.

Too bad it kill all the FPGA guys like rph ...

 Cry

I'll never have either of those things.

Also, can anybody out of the blue invest in the "new" starter 100 BTC account ?

What happened to referrals ?

125  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASIC as a 51% "weapon"... Mmmm... I don't think so... on: July 03, 2012, 04:01:01 PM
Ive pondered on such things, I dont think litecoin is a solution for... well anything.

I can see the blockchain being forked should we ever end up with an ASIC Supervillain dominating our chain we create a forked client + miner that uses bcrypt.
People swap to new clients and start mining the new chain and viola.

I cannot see this happening in the next 5-10 years.

LTC is a joke and not a real alternative to BTC. Note : BTC will be named BFLCoin sooner than later ...

In other words, if this folds and I lose my xxxx BTC be sure I will come after you hazek and vandroiy to get my last satoshis because you come in here and try to ruin the partay because you were late and jealous now !
Good thing you already have the scammer tag.

You are implying I am scamming here ? HOW ?

This is not a ponzi and I have said so multiple times in this thread.

hazek, glad you like my comedy. I like it myself Wink
127  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Bitcoin Savings and Trust | Home on: July 03, 2012, 03:49:57 PM
Exactly.

Anyone talking about Ponzi in this thread should just STFU and GTFO ( just like psy said ) !

Can we make it so "ponzi" is automatically censored to "*****" like "BFL" is automatically censored to "***" in the FPGA forums ?

That would be great !

Also, IMHO the people shouting PONZI right naow should be liable for any losses that happen as a result of those posts ...

In other words, if this folds and I lose my xxxx BTC be sure I will come after you hazek and vandroiy to get my last satoshis because you come in here and try to ruin the partay because you were late and jealous now !

Did you change anything ? Total MH/s ?

You guys can laugh all you want, but I want my spinning skull back!

~Bruno~

The thing is, Bruno, that was made that way to avoid non-ssl links on the hotlinked avatars, to avoid freaking out users because some lame browsers **cough**chrome**cough** show a red cross on the ssl bar when there are non-ssl elements on the page.
You can see that happening right now on this page because you hotlinked the gif on the first post using a non-ssl link Tongue
When your gif gets uploaded to the forum as an attachment it is converted into a png, so there goes the animation.

But I put a lot of thought into which avatar to use. (give me time to rephrase that)

Are you saying that nobody has an animated avatar now. Before you answer that, allow me to to direct you to this guy's avatar, which still seems to be working.

Is that BitcoinPorn ?

Discrimination seems frequent on these forums Cheesy

131  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will ASIC mining destroy Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2012, 09:57:12 PM
The problem is, there is no other use for a mining ASIC besides mining,
There's a coming vanity key gen market brewing...
I doubt ASICs can be used for that.  EC Key generation is an entirely different beast.
Technically speaking, if one wants to be un-nice to the Bitcoin network, you could setup 3-addresses for a regular Bitcoin miner...

Don't forget mining NMC and all the other SHA256 forks like DVC, IXC, IOC as well as BTC at the same time !

ASIC will probably be the best thing for BTC since sliced bread for the world !
132  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Bitcoin Savings and Trust | Home on: July 02, 2012, 09:52:51 PM
As I see it, it's a way to decentralize management of these accounts. Basic account is 3.9%, and those with pass-through will be able to compete to attract lenders into their systems where they can offer better rates than 3.9%. People will have an incentive to go to the pass-through instead, reducing the load of work managing accounts. If 75% of the Bitcoins Pirate needs come from 5 or 6 big accounts of 5000+ BTC, it's a lot less trouble than having thousands of accounts with a smaller amount.

It offer the possibility of different pass-through with different types of offers. Pirate just offered great conditions for an interesting and new pass-through market.

I really like where this is going Smiley Good job Pirate!

Also, I have a question. For Trust account, Pirate, you say you offer 5%+ interest. What is the absolute maximum a Trust can get? If it's not a secret... Smiley

IMHO it is 10.5 because I was here in the days this epic guy was offering 1.5% a DAY !

Good job pirate. Thanks for clarifying your stance towards PPTs and other issues with these accounts.
133  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1094 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); supporting p2sh! on: July 02, 2012, 09:50:06 PM
Any news on DGM? I just noticed again today that my payouts sometimes vary between 0.14 BTC (34 min) and 0.01 BTC per round (4 min) with the same hashrate.

This is quite extreme.

Just goes to show some people are NEVER satisfied / content with what they have been given for FREE ...

Good job slush. +1
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: July 02, 2012, 07:10:00 PM
proudhon, no offense, but are you EVER right recently? I seriously lol'd at yet another bear prediction. You love that damn bear!

I agree with you for once though! I'll have to get my head checked.  Cheesy

I too was a beat ... that is ... until I learned to BELIEVE in the BTC.

BTC is hugely undervalued ATM.

Rally to $10-12 FTW !

Did all of you got into a depression or something? I get too see the "sad" threads all over the place, get a grip dammit  Angry

Depression is a mental disease.

Get it checked out IMHO.

Not to you paraipan BTW.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Random LTC statistics on: July 02, 2012, 07:02:49 PM
162,792 total LTC blocks = 8,139,600 LTC

Current Bid price at BTC-E.com - 0.001389BTC/LTC

8,139,600 LTC = 11,305.9044 BTC = $75,636.50

Litecoinpool.org has about 153 users mining currently at 21.5MH/s

Total Hash Rate of LTC network is about 58.3MH/s

I'd say there are roughly 375 unique miners of LTC at least.

Not every person who owns LTC is mining LTC from what I can confirm on chats etc.

So the user base of people holding LTC is at least 500 people.

Now take the entire market cap of $75,636 / 500 people = $151 per person.

I find it hard to believe that each person (on average) has only invest $151 of their time, electricity, or finances on LTC with the hardware that exists, the mining software that exists (reaper etc.), and the sites that have come up (mostly pools for the time being).

Now coupling all of this with the fact that ASICS will drive GPU and FPGA miners elsewhere once ASICS hit the bitcoin market. The price of BTC will increase which in turn will also doubly increase the price of LTC.

Then again...I could be wrong  Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley

Genius mate !

Price of USD increase so that will also make price of BTC increase too !

You don't have a clue ... when BTC price rises ALL altchain prices FALL.

Yeah bro. You don't have a clue. Perhaps you should look at the NMC price when BTC rose to $30+

Dont post if you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Just like "shortbus" you fail so hard LOL

Ad hominem attacks FTW.

To think someone accused me of being you once ...

Over many months of trading, I have seens that altchains drop in BTC value when BTC goes up against USD.

I was not talking about NMC ( not a real altchain ), "bro".

Was talking about SLC, LTC, IXC, IOC, RUC etc.

bulanula is allowed to +1, but he isn't?

My post was not simple spamming of "+1" crap.

I included some relevant information in there too ( the reasons for the votes ).

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you like to buy with your LTC? on: July 02, 2012, 06:24:33 PM
DRUGS.

Silk Road for LTC is the only thing that can make GPU mining the LTC chain sustainable after every GPU switches off due to BFL ASIC.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need ASIC-proof Alt coin? on: July 02, 2012, 06:23:47 PM
Just some facts for the SHEEP :

BFL ASIC can never be used to mine LTC but CAN be used to mine NMC.

GPU can mine both NMC / BTC ( SHA256 algo) and LTC ( scrypt algo ).

FPGA can do same thing as GPU but the technology is hard to work out and nobody wants to share. I can bet my ass off somebody right NOW is making a killing mining LTC scrypt with FPGAs but not sharing the secret.

LTC is not supported enough by the market like BTC is due to Silk Road drugs buyers so mining LTC with all the GPUs previously used to mine BTC = market fail due to people dumping.
Nobody is willing to prop up LTC rate. Eventually profits will be same like BTC and GPU mining in ASIC period. LTC market depth is not big enough to sustain that many GPUs.
