Eh, he's not the only one thinking it. They handed out what, 10 of them? So we're about to have 10 different review threads flopping around for the same product. A consolidated thread with all ten reviews would be nice and organized, but not allow Q&A. But ten independent threads is gonna mean a lot of overlap and wasted space. Advertisement by saturation.

Looks like a lot of cost cutting has been done to maximize profit.
Not exactly .. I can see this a lot in most industrial setups, where you do not need all the bells and whistles for the consumer market. They market it as a 1.7 thash home miner not industrial. |

What concerns me more is that those miners behind him are actually set up for mining; as in not manufacture, but farming...
Does that mean Bitmain is actually doing "burn-in-testing" on the live net too (before selling it to "us")?!?
Its a US farm so its probably on behalf of a customer. How do you know this, I don't think png files store exif GPS data? It is written inside the sell offer. spiccioli DOH! So the deal is actually to buy a used mining farm. |

Is the shelf that you have the miner on screwed into the studs of the shared wall of an attached garage? I wouldn't expect it to resonate so much in your house being in the garage.

Somehow Roomba got into the 'mining' room and yanked the power cable out enough for a power interruption.
Who is Roomba? A cleaning robot, most likely. Sorry, yes, Roomba=cleaning robot (it's otherwise AWESOME) Until the floor sensor dies and it just spins in circles  |

Thanks guys, but I'm trying to connect this to a workspace network that requires me to add the MAC address of it to work, and I don't see it despite being being connected to the same network. (probably because the router rejects its connection). I tried connecting the LAN cable to my laptop directly, but I can't seem to find it either.... any ideas? Tried, but it's still not showing up on the myminer.io page. I've bought a router off Amazon with 1 day shipping.  John, I work somewhere that limits access to the dhcp system via mac addresses, surely there will be logs showing the SP20 trying to connect and being rejected. Unless you don't have access to that system. The SP20 is setup differently to other miners in that it needs DHCP to get its IP address, some others like the Bitmain kit comes with a preset IP address, which requires a different set of hoops to jump through  Nah, no access to that. I was wondering if it will give a login page if I manage to find its IP? I found (what I think is) its MAC address using wireshark, and have given it access to the network, but none of the IP's seem to give any access at all to the control interface. myminer.io is empty as always... Can you get to the Myminer.io page at all or page can't be found? Perhaps you have some web content filtering of proxy action happening at the perimeter. |

Got it and trying to run it now! I'm just wondering how do I check the Mac address of the device as I'm trying to add it to a network...
Plug it in then go to myminer.io it should show the device and IP there |

that fence could do with a lick of paint  That's a 20 years old fence, close to its end of life. Painting is unnecessary for this kind of wood More likely it will get a pressure wash in the spring ... put chain link up, that doesn't need painting ever. Glad your not my neighbor |

In this and next month, we are busying deliver the preorders. Avalon4 moudle will continually have small upgrade in early 2015, 0.3w/GHs on the wall and 0.3$/GHs with margin is a short-term goal.
I know there are a number of instock products on the market with better $/GHs on pricing. This is their blood, no more bloodsucking form us. Sorry.
This says it all, don't buy from these guys. They want to suck your blood not the other way around. |

My new SP31 miner arrived today, very pleased with the performance, thanks Spondoolies! fired it up on default settings and it seems just as, if not more stable than my old SP10's.  Just curious why you would have bought an SP31 when the SP35 is the same price, higher hash and shipping any time now? |
