No one is being forced to buy. Those that are good at math will sit on the fence.

Bitmain should ship the modules in a separate box with instructions for the customer to plug them in. The fit between the blade and the PCI slot is obviously not snug enough. Do they not screw down like a video card would in a case?

If your S1 stays under 60C running at stock speeds, should you be ok?

Get a fan and install on the front facing out.  You will see a big temp difference in push-pull mode.

I saw next to no difference doing this.

Is this 3 difficulties at the same price now? No thanks.

These server PSU's are very loud so take that into consideration depending on where you will be running your miner.

You are a vendor with balls, I like.

I do believe however because of the difficulty level increasing that KNC will need to make the first batch of Neptune's at around 6~8TH/s and the 2nd batch 10~12TH/s for there to be and ROI, and my numbers could be off by +/- 1TH too.

They won't.  The power consumption would be too high and nobody would be able to run them.

Actually people would still be able to run them, it would just require them to run them inside a co-lo.  Smiley

And the co-lo will suck all the profits away. So what's the point?

$390 BTC right now due to news out of China Sad
If this continues there are going to be a lot of people out money with their preorders. Hopefully it pumps up again in the fall like last year.

Owners of large farms, hardware manufacturers and people sitting on chips must be getting pretty nervous now.

The game is over.

Just copy the file locally, edit it then upload it back overwriting the old. WINSCP is a great gui program to SSH into your miner and manipulate the file system.

You call it compensation, I call it you just got played!

It's actually called "you got what you PAID!". Customers paid for a 3TH with Q2 as delivery deadline and they will get what they paid for in June. It doesn't cross the deadline so i don't see the problem. As for scammers i don't see who or how they scammed people, but yeah this forum needs more tard shill accounts!

Do you really want to waste time feeding a troll?

I mean just read his damn post :

Did I mention greedy fucking pricks???
For those reasons alone I hope btc dies! Let alone how this whole site is criminally run!

Call it what you will… But the shenanigans that are going on in the hardware world are down right criminal .. The vendors are using the customer product in their data centers up until the point where the product is at end of life cycle and then passing it on to the customer with little to no chance for ROE … You can say what you want, but we all know its happening ..

No doubt, if I bought a new car I would expect it to have 0 miles on it, not tested at the track extensively before purchase. This is done during the development phase.

The miner in me wants to buy more but with a 40% increase\month for difficulty the best this thing is going to do is lose you $88 per unit.

They are a joke.

I hope a natural disaster wipes out the farm!

I usually reserve this for the ladies but nice rack!

Anyone who has the S2, can you confirm that they are rack mountable?  E.g., do they come with rack mounting tabs and/or pre-drilled mounting holes for standard racks?  or will they require a shelf?  Have 2 coming maybe tomorrow need to know!!

The come with rack mounting brackets. No rails.

They look right at home with their little bros.

Bitmain has once again come though with an awesome product that works exactly to spec and it came exactly when they said it would!

Bravo Bitmain! I couldn't be happier.

BTC goes to $10 and NO ONE can afford to mine because the difficulty is 5 billion

logical error.

if NO ONE can afford to mine, why should the difficulty stay at 5 billion?

if NO ONE can afford to mine, no one WILL mine. and if no one will mine difficulty goes down to 1.

logic ftw my friend.

And how long is that difficulty going to take to drop if it is at 5 billion and 75% off the hashrate disappears. Going to take a long time to the next retarget.
