Im running 2 ants per psu as well with no problems so far. Bob, do you adjust the fan speed or leave it at its slowest setting?

Mine has been shipped and getting delivered 1 day early to boot, thanks Bitmain great job!

I will receive my s1 next week, what altcoins you mine with s1? . And i want to buy a corsair cx750m is a good psu? Thanks
You will spend to much money for PSU, just go for dell poweredge 2950 750w and it will cost you like $25 or 15gbp If you are running the miner in your house the Dell PSU is loud! I like the eVGA 1300 watt. It will run 3 oc ants and can be found for $200 or less and is silent.

Do these guys live in a gated community? Surprised no rough justice has happened yet ...
Bad things have happened for much lower drug debts ...

The death of GPU's again. Lets see if they rise from the grave a third time.
|
|
|
They certainly did a good job on the S1 no doubt about that.

Looking forward to my R7 refund.

All of the miners from my last batch of 5 were in great new looking condition. Now that I've taken my GPU's offline I have some extra PSU's kicking around, thanks for the coupons Bitmain just ordered 9 more! Now lets work on the price for the S2, I would like to get a couple of these running next since power is now starting to become an issue but cant justify the current premium.

Why do people still make or buy USB ASICS? I just cant see any value at all in this?
|
|
|
I bought a set of 3 boards and on one of them the on\off switch is seized and I cant switch it on. Is there a way that I can bypass this switch?
|
|
|
Its still double the price of the S1 per thash even with the coupon. S1 is the best bang for the buck right now.

Just finished setting up a couple 240 30 amp runs in the garage. My house is so quiet now that I've moved 10 ants out! Have 5 more coming today and if they look good I think I will put another order in tonight. I would like to ramp up to 5 thash of these. At these prices with a coupon I am fairly certain that I will be able recoup my BTC and then some.

By the time you get your free unit the difficulty will have skyrocketed. Good luck.

Out of 36 boards only 6 looked usable and of those only 1 is actually working, 2 power up but show completely dead dies and the other 3 do nothing but look good. That sounds extremely worrying. That is like taking boards from the trash container and shipping to customers... Were the heatsinks only stuck onto the board by the thermal paste? Yup, except now they can claim all of the bad boards as damaged in shipment and get reimbursed by the shipping co./insurance, All the while mining on the equipment they should have sent. Brilliant. If the shipping company has half a brain they wont cover the cost. This is a result of bad engineering not rough shipping.

BUYER BEWARE!
I purchased an Ant S1 from Bitmain and they shipped it to me with a bad Ethernet port. I cannot even plug it in to have it start mining. Clearly they either did not plug it in and test it OR they just knew it was a bad Ethernet port and shipped it out anyways.
I also have a friend who has recently received and Ant S1 from BitMain with a bad Ethernet port as well. Expect the same to happen to you.
It took them 6 weeks to send my friend a new controller board with a good Ethernet port on it. Great customer service.
I have been waiting for 48 hours now for them to even reply to my email to get a new Controller board.
Now I sit with a useless ant that I invested over $480 in. It now is making $0 a day until they ship me a new part. AND they want you to ship the bad part back before they will even ship you a new one. To ship it back to them it cost $44! Ya, prolly three times as much as the controller board.
If your going to purchase an Ant S1 I recommend getting it through a distributor in your country. At least they plug them all in and test them to make sure they are working before shipping to you. Otherwise you will end up with a brick like us and have to deal with the crappiest customer service I have seen thus far.
I've ordered 20 without a single problem. Sorry for your bad luck.
