101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SegWit2x Fork [B2X] Got Cancelled on: November 15, 2017, 07:25:56 PM
Segwit2X is needed. It is sick to make a transaction with Bitcoin today Angry
Don't worry, Bitcoin Core will get properly scaled, unlike BCash which only tries to slap a bandaid on the problem and sell it as the holy grail of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Core is the only chance that we have at achieving freedom and peace within this century, and all that while being highly profitable to those who support the cause!
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CrowdSale Ended]🌟🌟🌟🌟 NVO Decentralized Exchange | MultiWallet 🌟🌟🌟🌟 on: November 15, 2017, 05:07:08 AM
SCAM ALERT

a fake NVO ERC20 token have been released on etherdelta!!!

is a scam,

the NVO token is NVST and is a counterparty token!!!

http://nvotoken.ga/ is a scam site!!!

Are you serious, man this sucks I bought 90000 NVO from ether delta.
You really need to be much more careful in crypto.

Always double and triple check every single token, url, transactio and address before sending any money around and do not trust anybody.

Be glad you got burnt with only 6k to learn this lesson and not with much more later on.

Also don't use wallets on a computer that you use to browse the internet with.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: November 15, 2017, 04:57:01 AM
LMAO this board is actually cracking me up with how ignorant everyone is with their comments.  I would say 80% of you guys mentioned ponzi in your first sentence. Almost like you guys are brainwashed at believing the first thing you see. You guys and your money may understand things well in the traditional financial world, but Cyrptocurrency is backed by technology that frankly no one really understands. Lots of mysteries behind Bitconnect, but there is ways they can survive. If you've done better research you'd realize that they a user base that have about 7.3 Million coins locked in lending which comes out to about $1.93 Billion in BCC/USD value.  They currently have about 2.1 Million coins in coin circulation for about $554 Million in BCC/USD value. Then there is still 18.6 Million coins yet to be mined or brought into circulation which comes to about $4.9 Billion in BCC/USD value. If BCC doubles in price again while following Bitcoin, how does Bitconnect not look sustainable w/ this amount of money in Cryptocurrency growing everyday as the demand rises?

You guys call yourself a Bitcoin community, but your so quick to form an opinion on something you haven't tried.  I bet none of you have even test drived the platform on Bitconnect.  I've not seen one review, video, post or message from a person who's tried Bitconnect and then said that its a fraud.  Everyone who deems it a fraud has never tried the platform out. Im an IT tech and if there is one thing i know, you can't judge anything in the technology space without trying it yourself.  With you all crying ponzi in your first sentence, you completely reveal yourself to be someone that has never used the Bitconnect platform.  Thats saying a piece of steak is nasty tasting without trying the steak. Get your hands dirty and check it out.  or don't, but don't expect me to think your opinion has any credibility if you know nothing about how it works.

Disclaimer: I've made about a 90% return on my initial investment on the BCC platform in 8.5 weeks. Soon I'll be on house money. The Bitcoin I've paid myself in is real enough. Thats something I'm sure we can agree on. Peace.
You don't need to jump off a cliff to know what will happen. Too bad you don't really need any critical thinking skills to make it through a tech degree anymore.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: November 15, 2017, 04:54:51 AM
It amazes me how gullible people are. You can't honestly believe that on average you can earn 1% interest compounded daily.

For those people that keep saying we don't know who invented Bitcoin - so why does it matter who started BitConnect? You're overlooking one simple fact. Bitcoin has grown to where it is today because it's a true decentralized digital currency. BitConnect on the other hand is centralized and you can only buy or sell BitConnect through their own website. So it does matter who is behind BitConnect.

For those of you that are blinded by the daily returns, please open your eyes and realize that such a system is not sustainable in the long run. You have no idea who is behind this company and any day they can decide to shut down the website and walk away with all your money and unfortunately there is likely nothing you'll be able to do about it.

If it's too good to be true, then guess what? It probably is! You've been warned!
Very much this. I've been noticing so many completely oblivious people in crypto over the past months. People "invest" in things they do not understand even in the slightest and then just praise them to the heavens even though they are literal garbage.
This is how the dot com bubble happened. People don't want to hear it, but most of them will lose most or all of their money in the coming months or years.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: November 15, 2017, 02:43:49 AM
Is anybody actual surprised?

Lending doesn't work without proper KYC routines since the risk becomes too high for the lender.

As such the lender would require ridiculously high interest rates which would simply be unpayable for any borrower.

It was pretty clear that BitConnect was just a ponzi, just like laser and similar "projects".

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is $315 next target for Ethereum this week? on: November 09, 2017, 03:43:58 PM
I still think the price is still under pressure, recent events in Ethereum is bad and alot of projects using parity multisig are now under threat unless they find a quick solution to the frozen fund.
The price isn't really under pressure because of Parity. Parity is irrelevant to Ethereum, since it's a third party service provider. Ethereum isn't rising because it already pumped quite a bit this year and because all the Ether that projects keep collecting has to get dumped somewhere.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sia Coin is viable investment on: November 09, 2017, 03:42:47 PM
If you want to invest in Sia because you believe in them, I recommend you invest in the SiaFunds instead. They will redirect a share of the profits the platform makes to your wallet on a regular basis. As Sia grows, along with its usage, the price of SiaFunds will go up in anticipation of higher profits.

Sia is a very long term investment though, don't expect to get rich quick here. But if you do believe in this fantastic project, then as already mentioned go with SiaFunds.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SegWit2x Fork [B2X] Got Cancelled on: November 09, 2017, 03:15:29 PM
There can be uncertainty at the market because of this news. I hope BTC dominance rate will reduce so alts would rise once again.
If you look up the charts, they already have started rising again. Quite a few alts have jumped in price quite a lot just today, so it's safe to assume that the bull markets will be starting again now.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves??? on: November 09, 2017, 03:08:41 PM
I'm really not sure how much I want to trust Forbes on delivering accurate news stories. I remember reading a few questionable articles and then started skipping most of their news for quite a while.

How reliable is this headline? I knew that Waves was in a very unique position due to the decentralized exchange, but I didn't imagine it would be this big.
111  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would society be without the internet? on: November 09, 2017, 03:06:47 PM
That question depends a lot on what you mean by "society". Do you mean the way people act with each other? Or technology progress?

People interact with each other in pretty much the same ways, regardless of their surroundings. They might use different "toys", speak different languages and have differently appearing traditions. But at the core it's all the same if you really pay attention to what is going on.

As far as progress is concerned though, ever since the internet things have been speeding up dramatically. Even more so than in the past. And the easier and more accurate communication becomes (think brain interfaces), the faster humanity will advance thanks to the very few people who actually choose to push boundaries. We're in for a real rollercoaster in the coming decades.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 08, 2017, 06:19:43 PM
I was expecting a bigger drop in ETH price after news broke, but it has been pretty stable.
(I also doubt the whole "I'm a newbie theory").
There really is no reason for ETH to drop since the problem wasn't with the Ethereum blockchain but with Parity. Why would the market care about people who deposited funds with a service that has already failed once in the past?

The weak reaction is a pretty good sign though. Means the Ethereum market has matured quite a bit since the last fiasco.

In recent times, Ethereum has developed well. I am not convinced that in the next few months something will be able to suppress them. With strong coins only Waves are able to approach in any degree.
I'm sure there'll be more serious competitors in the future, which is good for all of us.

Waves really does seem like one of the obvious candidates though, especially with the recent announcements which should shift Waves into a bull market quite soon.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SegWit2x Fork [B2X] Got Cancelled on: November 08, 2017, 06:17:59 PM
Bitcoin will come out stronger than ever out of this recent news. I already see the markets into a new bull-rush. But, despite the Bull-rush, the sell-off is going to be huge for Bitcoin, as now the bubble is over inflating behind the value for no apparent reason, other than for the big whales to dump all their BTC onto the market.

News like this gives hope for BTC, but gives it less power on the markets due to this recent rush only pertaining to the recent BTCgold fork, and no longer segwit

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/segwit2x/

A lot of people lost a lot of money trading this unreleased forked coin.
I always found the futures trading to be very sketchy. It's pretty much aching to Russian Roulette.

Either way, I'm glad that the fork got called off in an attempt to further solidify the Bitcoin community. Hopefully the actual upgrade will be even better than what was planned as a result!

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for November on: November 08, 2017, 04:43:38 PM
If you're looking for guaranteed ROI, don't invest in an ICO that doesn't even have a product yet. Invest in companies with real value, a real product, and real profits, like Milkcoin. Milkcoin is an agricultural project based in Russia. They're doing an ICO because it's a lot easier getting crowdfunding that way. They want an injection of new capital to expand their business and grow their revenue, unlike most ICO's who still don't have anything. The coolest thing about Milkcoin is that they pay trimonthly and yearly dividends, so you can make an extra, passive income until the third year, which is when they'll buy back your coins at a 120% price. This is literally the only ICO with guaranteed profits. They may not be x100, but the risk is minimal and the ROI will be very good, I expect at least x10, not counting the dividends.

Wow! This is great!Honestly, at first, I am not so positive with the success of this project. But after knowing and reading this, I hope this speculation will happen. Now, I also consider investing on this coin. I realize that the project really has a better objective compared to the other projects.

thanks, I believe so too. It's really unique in the sense that its basically just a regular, profitable business looking for more funds through an ICO, in one of the fastest growing markets of Russia
I actually quite like the idea as well, which is why I've enrolled in their campaign. Hopefully there'll be more real world companies collecting backed up investments on the blockchain in the future.

If a few prove successful the blockchain could quickly snowball and end up eradicating the stock market with its ridiculous time lags and fees.

And it would also bring more attention to Bitcoin as a serious investment platform and currency.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 08, 2017, 04:37:01 PM
A newbie wouldn't have been capable of doing this. The guy most likely knew what he was doing. In either case, only Parity was affected, so this is pretty much completely irrelevant to Ethereum as a whole.

You're probably right. The fact that ETH represents a system that any amateur, incompetent programmer or hacker can insert executable code into shouldn't matter to anyone.  Roll Eyes
That's not what I've said at all. I've said that the person who did this probably knew very well what they were doing and wasn't some "random newbie" at all. And I've also said that Parity is not Ethereum itself, so if Parity fucks up it doesn't matter for Ethereum.
Which is basically the complete opposite of what you've taken from my post, unless you were being sarcastic and it went over my head...
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves??? on: November 08, 2017, 04:35:07 PM
Have not seen nothing important on waves so far.

maybe next year? maybe 2019? who knows
You would have if you read the thread. There have been several announcements made by the Waves dev team in the past weeks. There's even a Bitcoin Cash airdrop to Waves Community Token holders coming soon, which is why the price has increased quite a bit despite the current altcoin bear market.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 08, 2017, 04:04:15 PM
Parity needs to get their stuff together, honestly, first this thing about two months ago with the stolen funds and now this, and the problem has been present since July and no one noticed.. it's crazy that it has such a huge market share. People just need to move their money out of Parity cause it obviously doesn't give a damn about security, their market share is way too big in the Ethereum network and they'll make everyone a favor if they just announce that they won't be opening new accounts anymore, and ask users to transfer their funds in another provider.
Honestly people should just be forced to take the loss at this point. There's no reason to trust a platform that has already failed once with any amount of money, especially if it's supposed to be irreversible like in the case of the blockchain. If people don't get hurt by their mistakes and lack of foresight they will never learn...

And platforms like Parity will never improve either, since they don't really have to apparently.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves??? on: November 08, 2017, 04:02:36 PM
seem investors Waves !!!Tell me your thoughts and feedback about the platform. Is there a bright future for the competition with Eth?

does not look like it so far, or anyone has insights?
The devs have recently released new screenshots about the updated wallet and decentralized exchange platform. It actually looks quite nice and it seems like the beta will be very soon.

Next year there'll be smart contracts, so with all that in mind Waves would be a better platform than Ethereum is.

At that point it will just depend on whether or not people choose to start their ICOs on the Waves platform instead of using Ethereum.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum on: November 08, 2017, 03:59:36 PM
I was wondering why Ethereum was trending on Twitter.

This article explains the bad news for some Ethereum holders  https://www.cryptpool.net/ethereum-wallet-vulnerability/
