It looks like we can start testing Colored Coins in next few weeks.

Do you have a problem with certainty finlof? You do understand that 'in the next few weeks' does not equate to a specific date don't you? Huh

And you are also confusing two different posts regarding the time span and the exchange which we may/may not use.

'No it won't be cryptostocks, not 100% sure yet.'  has nothing to do with time scale does it finlof?
1062  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 07:15:02 PM
Thanks.! Is it to cryptostocks.?

No it won't be cryptostocks, not 100% sure yet. Ken is working on coloured coins as an implementation method, keep checking back here each week.

Hang on - changed my mind. Shocked

1064  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 07:08:02 PM
Sorry that am not following the thread.
But are they going to transfer our Activemining shares to different exchange.?

That's right, in the next few weeks.

You really wanna be one of these guys? What a dick. LOOK at him. I'd rather stay poor.

1066  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 06:27:33 PM

Am I mistaken in thinking we are past the deadline that accumulated divs should have been paid out?

Dividends are suspended, we have no exchange right now due to the SEC shutting down Bitfunder.
1067  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 02:25:21 PM
You do understand as the price goes up, we have more reason to mine for ourselves than sell equipment at the $100/BTC equipment price points currently on the website?

Sure sure I understand all that and so does Ken. But at the moment our online customers are our central source of income so we need to take the orders, and fill those orders, and ship them at top speed.

We have responsibilities to our customers who are financing our development right now - lets not forget online sales represent immediate finances which can be turned around quickly into new stock whereas mining is a more long-term affair. The point being our customers are very important to our success at this stage.

As that is the case and many potential customers will read this thread before deciding to order (or not) maybe we could act a bit more grown up than we have been till now?

Just to increase the positive vibe on here (!) this move on BTC at this time is for us just incredibly good news.

Imagine if we were still sitting at $100 per BTC - people would be doubting the future of the currency never mind ACtM.

As it stands we will be receiving massive benefits on the Mining Hardware sales side which will further assist our re-investment fund.

What we will see soon if not already is a significant positive-loop feedback effect. As BTC goes higher the more online sales we get and the more FIAT we have to pump back into chip production. Then we will have more machines being produced to fill the orders/more orders come in as BTC rises etc etc etc.

And with the fast ordering potential of eASIC we can turnaround massive volumes of chips in such a short amount of time that we will have a significant advantage over our competitors.

We are a few short weeks away from maximum-thrust lift off! OMG this is so exciting. Anyone else feel the love?

You hope that he is successful?

I hadn't thought of that.
1071  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 12:46:22 AM
Yes, it does not sound good for the UK exchange.

It looks like we can start testing Colored Coins in next few weeks.

What options do we have to trade shares in the next few weeks? Are we allowed to do direct share transfers on the forum?

Ken is not a stockbroker and he can't be held responsible should one of these forum transfers go wrong. You need to wait for an exchange to open, like we all do.
1072  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 11:40:36 PM

Wrong, Maybe, in the UK by law they are "beans" or in other words a commodity.  I think this is what they should be in the US too.  So, in the UK it would be trading contracts or a barter transaction.

You should take some UK based legal advice on that rather than the opinion of an interested party. Officially BTC's have not been classified except as 'single use vouchers' which means VAT is payable on them making a UK btc exchange impossible to run profitably.
https://www.scirra.com/blog/tom/4/bitcoins-uk-future-looks-bleak

In a tax information and impact note HMRC said: ‘VAT on single purpose face value vouchers will now become due, if applicable, when they are issued rather than when they are used to purchase goods or services. Tax will also be due on each subsequent sale of the voucher, subject to the usual rules on liability and place of supply.’

However registering a company (PLC) that can issue tradeable shares in the UK is I believe is a simple affair costing under a hundred pounds, but I've never done it.

you risked so much on LabCoin.

Are you serious? I didn't go near them.

Do you often make stuff up off the top of your head?
1074  Economy / Securities / Re: My experiences with bitcoin and Active Mining on: November 17, 2013, 10:30:02 PM
Yes, it was a big favor not to have appointed me for PR guy. In anycase, unlike Streets, I would have expected compensation.

Why don't you crawl back under your rock and take your vain and quite sad little blog with you.
1075  Economy / Securities / Re: My experiences with bitcoin and Active Mining on: November 17, 2013, 09:19:51 PM

I did - can I have that 3mins of my life back please?
1076  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 09:13:07 PM
Get real fellow UK guys. BTC is a massive threat to the City Boys. I really think there is a high chance they will not allow an exchange to operate here.

If/when HMRC/The Treasury say otherwise that would be the time to act - not before.
1077  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 09:09:11 PM

Absolutely NOT backed by comments from HMRC.

Your first link is months old and can be disregarded. The second contains the latest from them and it is ambiguous at best, shows no understanding (or an intentional misrepresentation) of bitcoin and so the UK Gov position is highly suspect at this time.

Remember London is the largest FX market in the world. The financial services industry keeps the UK afloat and has done for years. Cameron and his chums in the City are going to do everything they can to stifle BTC. As the article says, if they impose VAT on BTC any exchange would die a quick death.

'As Tom Gullen described on his blog, Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) seems to be classifying bitcoins as vouchers, which means VAT would be due on any sales.'

As for unregulated, un registered securities exchange, they could easily do an SEC shutdown, And why wouldn't they if they are already trying to keep a lid on BTC. They know they are not vouchers for petes sake.
1078  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 06:56:29 PM
Congrats America? Its China pushing this higher right now. From here we could have a splash-down to 250 level or some serious investors/funds could start getting involved here taking us to 1k with no looking back. It really is possible some big boys might get in here. Next two days will tell.

You need to price this in Yuan right now.

(not Yen sorry)
1079  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 06:40:30 PM
I'd like to agree or disagree but I'm not sure to what. What are you saying over the shares exactly?

I know you are desperate to sell to get some FIAT back but it looks like Ken does not have the time to spend puting us on havelock and I would not be happy with him spending a full week doing that anyway when he has the business to work on at this crucial time.

At the end of the day the SEC caused this trouble for us. Yes its a shame you can't realise some dollars at this BTC price but that's life.
1080  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 17, 2013, 11:16:51 AM
No probs, check back here every week as there will be a new home (exchange) for the shares coming up which Ken is working on at the moment.
