41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin stays we can do greater things: Hospital charity visit on: March 07, 2023, 07:18:33 PM
Sorry that your friend and cousin are in critical medical conditions.  I wish them speedy recovery, I have learnt that good health is highly underrated. You did a good thing OP, I know it’s not easy to let go of an investment you have been saving for so long but I believe it was worth. Money come and go, at the end of the day it’s the people we love that really matters.
Yeah menh, life is the basic purpose because the whole point having these investment in the first place is save, help and support our love ones in the journey of life. Op please you did a very wonderful think because in every thing we are doing life is the most important of them all and you selling your coins to save a soul is just wonderful. Every other thing in this world can be gotten back but human life is precious and if lost its gone forever. But I also pray one should have to go through such problems but the bitter truth still remains that its all under the basic setting of life to experience these thing's.

Absolutely true, the purpose of life struggle is to be able to solve critical and none critical problems we encounter on a daily basis.
It is very rare to have a friend in need, even some blood relatives sometimes look the other way.
@OP I hope for both of them to be well and strong on their feet to go about doing what they love doing. Health they say is wealth, only of you are healthy should you be able to pursue life vanity.  I wish them speedy recovery.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as means of exchange in happy day supermarket on: March 07, 2023, 07:04:39 PM
Gradually the interest to buy with a currency other than fiat will keep increasing. Most especially because of the inflation rate and the cashless policy introduced by some government, and btc seem to be the right choice. It wasn't a bad idea to convince your employer to have an alternative means of payment. In fact, the earlier this type of service is introduced the better it will be for happy day supermarket. By the type others are trying to get in, this supermarket already far ahead.
It is important you and your boss understand the btc network and the exchange rate against fiat.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am betting on SushiSwap in the next bull run on: March 06, 2023, 07:46:28 PM

So, if it goes back to previous ATH in next bull run, it can give 20 x return. Such a return is never possible with bitcoin in less than a year time frame.

Well, the difference between alts and btc especially in bull season is btc will 100% moon to a new ath no doubt about that while alts are mostly under probability. So my friend, the profit margin may be higher with alts investment but with btc there is a guarantee that the price will pump as btc is the initiator of bull season.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust in cryptocurrency? on: March 06, 2023, 07:08:59 PM
If you can trust any other coin (better yet you shouldn't) you can always trust in btc as the number one true decentralized coin in the crypto space. It can also see it as the crypto communities number one choice.
And just so you know, the awareness of crypto is increasing on a large scale compared to what it used to be. here in my country, the awareness of crypto 4 years back was very poor but today, it has increased a lot, although the majority still clings to fiat and its poor service unfortunately.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EXPERIENCE BASED REVIEW OF EXCHANGES on: March 05, 2023, 07:52:33 PM
Since my relationship with exchanges is very minimal,  meaning all I do is buy any crypto assets that am interested in and withdraw to my personal wallet I can say that I do not have any preference, I think mostly because am a full-time investor not a day trader so am not bothered about there shortcomings.
I have only interact with few among the list you provided and the one i use most is binance, kucoin as well but not as frequent as I use binance. Overall my transaction hasn't encountered any hiccups likewise kucoin.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning avoids unnecessary expenses on: March 05, 2023, 07:43:20 PM
In a way yeah but there are some unexpected expenses that planning can not avoid. Planning is an effective way of managing expenses especially when your salary is not very great. If you are wealthy the only thing planning does for you is getting things in order and not cutting down expenses.
I love to plan because it gives me idea of how best I can utilise my money without any extravagant spending.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: March 05, 2023, 06:56:49 PM
I would say the future of btc will be as good even without the powerful countries support. Besides I don't think btc price suffering has anything to do with what your are assuming. You already know btc price movement has both the bull and bear season and now is not the season when the price move up a lot. I bet you won't think the same when the bull season began. If powerful countries where truly part of btc growth, the story would be different.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Blur will overtake Opensea on: March 05, 2023, 05:35:23 PM
Probably this is blur time, when opensea was newly launched the hype was huge and lots of nft trading also took place but as time passes things naturally cool off. If there is going to be a second airdrop as you said, I think most nft traders wouldn't want to miss that opportunity. I think the hype will end soon and by then it will be clear if it can overtake opensea or not.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 04, 2023, 06:30:59 PM
Most alternative coins can't be trusted even though a few have proven to be trusted with their long term building and development the majority are risky and untrusted.
A quick google search about altcoins scams will give you the picture, the reason why most investors are skeptical and scared to buy or even hold altcoins for long term. Most altcoins are for short term, BTC is for long term investment.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In under 2.5 hours Binance AI-powered NFT generator generates 10,000 mints on: March 04, 2023, 06:24:25 PM
I was too late to mint a cool binance ai nft for myself. I can't believe how crypto people hunt for such freebies, even though there is no value yet but the thought of what it could cost in near future drove people to mint it all so quickly.
From the look of things, AI related projects will be the next trends and most likely perform well in the next upcoming bull season.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fruit of greed is never good,, on: March 04, 2023, 03:46:16 PM
I don't think it was just about being greedy, the problem here is your friend lack the necessary security knowledge to properly protect him from being scammed. One can't be too care but it is also very necessary to firstly have the right knowledge and understanding about any new part we want to explore.
Scammers are very crafty and will do anything necessary to try and deceive even none newbie in the crypto space. It is important to be observant and be well informed.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: March 04, 2023, 03:34:33 PM
I believe yes, maybe some of us haven't gotten to that point of financial freedom but some people were lucky enough to attain that position. Crypto have made many people millionaires and will continue to do so.
I personally have gained alot with crypto even though am not in the financial freedom level yet but it has boost my financial status a lot more than what it us to be. So am here for the long run and I know I will achieve it.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: March 03, 2023, 02:43:17 PM
Precisely, and most especially when crypto transaction is still very minimal and not entirely acceptable in some places. Fiat will always appear as king in this scenario.
This just demonstrates to many people that the government has the power to control however they want. The cashless policy introduced by the Nigerian government has revealed how easily a single government policy can affect the entire economy. It was a very selfish move on the part of the government even if the intention according to them was for the betterment of the Nigerian population. People will not forget this experience in a hurry. If crypto was accepted on a large scale things would have been very different.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these crypto-twitter "influencers" are still exist? on: March 03, 2023, 02:32:51 PM
You will be surprised this does not limit to those newbies in crypto but to some old-timers as well. Most crypto influencers' followers are not only newbies or those with less knowledge about crypto. I think it is a common practice or has become a common practice in the crypto space for crypto lovers to want to follow top crypto guys to get informed in most cases, not particularly because they can't decide on their own.
I believe influencers have access to certain info that an ordinary crypto supporter may not have which can serve as a positive thing for such a person, in crypto information is key especially as an investor of alts projects, this among others is the reason why influencers may be around for long period imo.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: March 03, 2023, 02:20:54 PM
Hunting is an understatement, you need to put in more effort and sometimes money to qualify for an airdrop, unlike what it used to be in the past when you don't do much to get airdropped. Things are really moving faster in the crypto space. I have not been able to qualify for any airdrop of late because of the processes involved. it is time consuming.
A lot of good and worthy airdrops have happened recently which I really regret not being a part of.

58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Main reason government won't fully accept bitcoin on: January 24, 2023, 07:12:03 PM
I don't think there is a direct answer to this question, even from other countries beside the western world, I know the response will be different because of differences in opinion and views.
Some will say, btc is not secure because of it's anonymity so it will be difficult for the government to track down illegal transactions such as tax evasion, money Laundering, terrorist financing.
They will always try to come up with reasons why they can't adopt btc
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 23, 2023, 08:31:41 PM
The fact that btc always ended up proving them wrong is the fun part of it. Crypto analyst will always try to do their job by predicting the direction of the market but in most cases, the market don't usually go as they have predicted.
I don't think there is anything wrong in that, rather it gives some investors an idea of the market situation.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 23, 2023, 08:08:08 PM
To change my financial of course, I do have a job but having an extra source of income is very helpful especially in our current state of the economy.
Besides, crypto is the easiest asset to be invested in,  it doesn't requires any lengthy procedure nor does it require certain degree of skill and knowledge.
