Signature applied Voluntary, hopefully I can be opportune to participate in the upcoming sig campaign proper.
222  Economy / Reputation / Re: False Info : Fiat Banks Conspiracy Against Customers. Bitcoin is the Best Option on: September 08, 2022, 07:26:28 AM
With Bitcoin. No such fear, no such risk.

You can broadcast your transaction to the network, nodes and miners will confirm transactions with priority on highest fee rates first. If you don't use too low fee rate your transaction will be confirmed sooner. If you use too low fee rate your transaction will be stucked longer. Fortunately you can use Replace  by fee if you use a non custodial wallet and mark your transaction as RBF when you broadcast it initially.

More fortunately, it's your keys, it is your coin. It is only if you use a non custodial wallet with it nobody can freeze your Bitcoin or steal your Bitcoin. It is big different and much better than central banks.

Are you sure you read the above post correctly before making yours? i think you are responding to the wrong topic, perhaps you should check properly to see which topic your post belongs to.

@op you have made a point with this, it is important as bitcoiners to represent it correctly, it will be unfair to misrepresent information just because we don't like the service of the banking sector, I use bank more than btc for now and even though I dislike many of their services i still need them to transact on a daily basis.
223  Economy / Economics / Re: Another topic about Bitcoin and inflation: show me if I'm wrong on: September 07, 2022, 03:14:35 AM
There seem to be a general confusion what btc was created for, was it as an alternative payment,  store of value or speculative asset among some btc users.
Right now the majority are for speculative asset, it is more about the price and what profit to be made than actual utility or ways to make payments with it.

And frankly speaking, even the so called btc pioneers are not helping matters in this regard. They as early adopters had the opportunity to hold huge sum of btc and what are they doing with it! Speculating the market and profiting out of it rather than promoting btc adoption and acceptance as a means of payment.  I doubt anyone of them making any sort of payment using btc to encourage all the latter supporters.

They are not representing btc well as pioneers or showcasing a good example for others to follow, there are several ways they can create utility for btc instead of filling their wallet with thousands of it and just holding for long term because eventually those bags will get liquidated and they will walk with their fiat profit.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian FG to partner Binance on: September 07, 2022, 02:37:09 AM
We don't know what is hidden behind the partnering by the federal government. Nigeria is a big market and has got the highest level of adoption and usage amidst the restrictions from the government. The government is found much interested in promoting the country's own CBDC eNaira.
Certainly not far from what I am thinking that there could be a hidden agenda you know. There is actually more to this than we already know. I mean, what do they mean by a "Virtual Freezone"? Can someone explain it better to me please because, I don't get it.

The Nigerian federal government in its CBN have an anti crypto nature and have done much to ensure cryptocurrency is dragged to the mud despite massive adoption by its citizens but the corrupt practices in there ranks have left most digital inclinded citizens to choose cryptocurrency everytime.

I think Binance is being too much in there involvements with the FG of Nigeria and could mean danger for Nigerian Cryptocurrency traders. Not so long ago, they started accepting NIN, a Nigerian document for KYC and now, they are partnering with the government.
How long will it take before they start leaking your details and transactions to the government?

I don't see anything good in this partnership until they come out clean. There could be more to this than the are ready to tell or we actually know.

I read through just about all posts here and I truly see the concern of most which are what we are scared of because this Government as we know them has not been fort coming with true Information with her citizens and this might just be one of those ways they try to get at them again, however, why would Binance do that? not that they can't if they want to, but why would they? they would understand that this will cause a lack of trust across other location that uses the Exchange and not just the Nigerians and it would be bad for Binance so I still have my reservations with regard to that because of their touring around the African countries to create awareness about cryptocurrencies.

Binance to launch Africa crypto awareness tour as adoption ramps up

So I am thinking they are willing to do this if it is actually confirmed because they actually want to tap into this market fully.
We do understand that when it comes to Nigeria, Binance has sponsured or partners with some orginazations activities.

Binance unveils collaboration with Big Brother Naija Stars

Binance Takes Blockchain Education To Northern Nigeria, In Collaboration With Edubox Global

In the part of Nigerian government,  I don't see their sudden interest to partner with binance as genuine but as a convenient way to propagate their political campaign, everything they do at the moment is geared towards the upcoming elections, they seek to score a point with the Nigerian masses after such a terrible administrative experience they currently going through.

Binance like every other business have been relentless with their efforts to reach as many countries as possible, partner with the government or none governmental organisations to spread crypto awareness. Right now, the Nigerian government realise they can't stop the movement no matter how hard they try. Time is up for them.

226  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: September 05, 2022, 08:02:43 PM
I have some observations;

The picture in Op said that fiat is not durable. I don't know the concept of durability in Op, but one of the major characteristics of money is durability and fiat is quite durable. Whether in paper form or in coin form and recently in CBDC form, all are durable.

I think that is one concept that should be reviewed, have you seen the size of $ 1 million dollars, or in any other fiat currency, do you think it will fit in your physical wallet without drawing attention? in the case of BTC, you can have more than $ 1 million worth of btc in your digital wallet on your device without a single soul noticing anything. Gold is another story entirely.  And that is what the durability in the @op infographic means.
227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is everyone ready for Bitcoin's NEXT LEG DOWN ??? Federal Reserve Tightening on: September 05, 2022, 07:43:42 PM
Leg down! right or left?  Grin lol, I don't know why this federal reserve talk is gaining so much attention, we are already in a bear market due to several other reasons, I guess federal reserve will be added to the list of reasons why btc price will dip lower.
To me, i hope to have some cash with me when it eventually happens so i can do some shopping because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Super Rich people have nothing to worry about Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology on: September 04, 2022, 05:07:27 PM
Rich folks have their way of thinking and different ways to grow and preserve their wealth, it is not usually keeping their money on fiat to sit idly, I think most rich folks invest their funds in different assets than keeping raw cash.
I believe the younger generation of rich people are more into digital currency and investment than the older generation, so it is very possible some of their children are already interested in btc investment.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS DEAD! on: September 04, 2022, 04:35:49 PM
There is no point wasting time talking with Craig wright wannabe because all he wants is some relevance to shitcoin bitcoin sv that has been forgotten a long time ago.
Bitcoin sv belongs to the trash and will remain there. If bitcoin is so dead you won't be here arguing about it, how many people are talking about bsv? non because it is really dead.
230  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 03, 2022, 05:38:38 PM
A 4 day work a week is great, I am currently on a 4 day a week work and honestly I like the 1 day off thing, although the mgt in my organisation are thinking of stopping it, it was introduced during the coronavirus period and was kept going even after coronavirus, am so used to it I don't want it to be called off. Currently working 40 hours a week which I believe is enough imo.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: September 02, 2022, 02:35:32 PM
The simple answer to this question is yes, however it all depends on the alts and the overall standard, if it is a high standard alts the potential to is higher than low or no standard alts that are just base on hype (which can still reward you but only in a very short term). High standard alts on the other hand can be very rewarding depending on when you invest, if you take the top 100 alts for instance you will find out none is trading at the initial presale price, meaning all initial investors have already earn big rewards.
You can still find such alts if you know where to look.
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin, Not for everyone. on: September 02, 2022, 02:13:07 PM
For many people, no it is not, the price is very high for the average people to be able to afford 1 btc. No doubt everyone desire to own 1 btc but the financial situation has made it impossible for some people to achieve this.
My goal is to own a good amount of btc, 1BTC should not be the limit.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Changes Lives, Touches Non-Formal Education for Underprivileged Children on: September 01, 2022, 07:38:19 PM
A noble act you are doing for the underprivileged children all thanks to the help and power of btc. Many people are going through a lot of difficulties especially in this current highly inflated economy.
Btc has come a long way and will continue to strive until it becomes known and used in every household, It is just a matter of time before btc acceptance spread all over even in your area.
Am particularly pleased to see what you are doing with these kids, trying to care for them from your btc earnings is a great act, good job, this is very inspiring.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: September 01, 2022, 06:50:35 PM
Why not stop when you realize you are losing more than winning a trade? am sure you didn't just lose all 10 btc at once. As a trader it is important to know when to stop, 10 btc is a huge amount and engaging in trade when you are not very knowledgeable about it is a bad move and always ends up in loss.
Better to take a break and go learn about trading some more before engaging in more trades, hopefully, you will be able to recover some part of your funds if not all.

238  Economy / Economics / Re: Consequences and effects of inflation | Financially and Mentally on: August 23, 2022, 08:51:18 PM
I believe the situation is the same almost all over the world, nearly every country is battling high inflation, the cost of living is getting high on a daily basis and governments are not able to curb it at the moment.
In this current situation, those who have less dependent will have less impact from inflation as they will still be able to maintain a healthy standard of living and save at the same time. for those with lots of families depending on them, the situation is different, the burden to provide for more people will weigh you down and no doubt the situation will take a toll on you, mentally and financially.
There is no other solution than to cut expenses to the bearest minimum, at least till when the economy is able to recover a bit, even though no one knows when that will happen (if it will).
239  Economy / Economics / Re: Global famine on: August 23, 2022, 08:11:57 PM
These countries @op have mentioned above are not exactly affected by the war so I can't seem to understand the presence of femininity in countries like china which is among the top powerful country in the world. I don't think farming corn is a problem in china, as a technological advance country with the right tool for farming there shouldn't be a problem. so I don't find the info above very authentic.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu has no value and shouldn't be bought on: August 22, 2022, 06:41:29 PM
Believe it or not, 90% of investors who invest in projects like shiba inu don't do it because of their utility, they invest because of the hype and the quick profit short term. Only the very naive investor will hodl such coins thinking it will grow bigger in future (except the dev of the project decide to create and expand utility for the coin to increase the value), otherwise, these type of project are for a very short term investment.
