1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 06, 2014, 02:27:55 AM
People are worried whether Mamm will be a scamcoin like SUPER, because same dev. No knowing if we wont get a 3rd `supersend` coin, then a 4th. Or maybe phase two never comes. Its a big risk. Anyway price gonna be dumped to 1k from miners so not looking good for these two weeks.

Nice try  Smiley

first supercoin is not a scam coin, they promised to deliver the anonymous wallet, and they did on time, with good quality (I think it is the fastest anonymous wallet). Mammothcoin licensed the supersend technology and it works excellently. I think the two teams joined force in the quest of a true trustless system for anonymous wallet, this is very good news. Of course it's a risk, anything can fail before it is actually delivered. XC, DRK, etc etc all have big risks, so far supersend is the first one I see delivered as promised, on time and with great quality. So with this, I'd believe more on SUPER/MAMM than other coins, especially those promised but never delivered.
You make some good points but XC is one coin that has delivered as promised on time and with quality. Mamm may have done this too.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 04, 2014, 11:38:37 AM

I'm not sure I understood this.
There will be 25 million coins. Now 75% of those are mined  ? How long did it take?

Thanks Smiley

The 25 Million MAMM number comes from the 5+ Million PoW Coins plus the projected PoS coins that will be generated over the next few years.

Have a look at the Block Explorer: http://chainz.cryptoid.info/mamm/ -> You'll notice that in the "Extracted By" column there are currently more coins created through PoS than PoW.

The simple way to look at it is that in just over a month the PoW stage will end.

The amount of coins that will be created from PoW (and only PoW) is 5,347,300

The reason we are already at 5,318,675 MAMM is because people (smart people) have put their coins in their Wallets, where they are currently accumulating interest (50% per year).

Hope that helps clarify things... Wink
Yes thanks. Smiley.

.15 BTC sent for xc promotion to 16WffZKRbnCKSBGXaVpra4dqT72pf3TT3V
Thank you! Received... though you sent it to my personal address.
I'll forward it to the donation address unless you intended to tip me :-)
What is the promotion. I must have missed that. But will donate (if it's a good cause Smiley )
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAMM] MammothCoin|Anon Wallet Released - 1st X13 with SuperBlocks on: July 04, 2014, 09:05:10 AM
Soo, how much % is mined at this point?

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/mamm/

We had two halves before so about %75 is mined.
Current total of MAMMs is 5,304,629. (From block explorer)
I'm not sure I understood this.
There will be 25 million coins. Now 75% of those are mined  ? How long did it take?

Thanks Smiley
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer on: July 04, 2014, 08:57:58 AM
How is it that darkcoin with failed a masternode implementation is worth so much and vtc with successful stealth addresses
is going through the floor?
Can anyone from the Vertcoin team explain why their work is not valued in this crypto community?
I'm not in the team, but I have some ideas (though of course they're just my own speculation). I have bought VTC a number of times, and probably only once made a good profit (and that was when it went completely nuts quite a while ago). Every other time I've ended up selling out and being disappointed. Recently it really looked as though VTC was in a terminal decline. It's interesting that even in the lead up when the stealth address function was telegraphed the coin still struggled and even pretty much collapsed.

I think there are a lot of "stale bulls" in VTC and even good news wont necessarily turn the price around in the short term. Holding onto a losing investment wears on you and it becomes more difficult psychologically to believe, even after good news, IMHO.
Even this therad has a subdued or even tired feel about it, compared to the energetic hype in the threads about newer coins.
Assuming the news is that good, I think we just need a period where the tired weak hand let go and others accumulate at what seems to be a reasonable price.
It's very typical after a big decline to have a period of consolidation where buyers accumulate. This happens in shares commodities currencies, probably just about anything.
It might just take a little time (which can seem like a lot of time in crypto land) for the mood to change.
Just my thoughts

What does Mamm's anonymous feature consist of?
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer on: July 04, 2014, 05:31:56 AM
I have no idea whether I understood the stealth address thing. But it seemed to me that
1.Person A gives person B a "stealth address".
2.Person B send a payment to the block chain  to an address derivable from A's stealth address.(?)
3.Person A then retrieves the payment from the block chain after they identify the payment (as only they can see which address is derivable from their stealth address...and only they have the key to do so...?)

Is that it? Just trying to put it simply as I'm not very clever when it comes to tech things  Tongue

1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 04, 2014, 01:08:53 AM
The massive buys coincide with the fund managers we spoke to stating they are recommending XC. This week should be interesting.
Fund managers?
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: July 04, 2014, 12:06:14 AM
the price is very low

So buy as much as you can while it's still low! Wink
I'd really appreciate it if everyone let me buy some more at 2 Satoshi first before they started buying.  Wink
1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer on: July 03, 2014, 10:47:43 PM
I'm puzzled as to why there isn't more interest in the last two announcements? Lot's of stale bulls to chew through...or...is there something I'm missing?
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 02, 2014, 01:18:54 AM
I sold some XC to buy VTC a little while ago. I don't mind buying some XC back if they are up 20% if I make more out of the VTC, and I already have.
My plan may not work, but XC has been very stable, in percentage terms. And I plan not only to buy back the ones I sold but to buy more if it gets high enough, as I'm not convinced it is a P&D coin.
Most coins I would tend to sell if they went up a lot, but I'm not sure that is the best strategy with XC...but who knows Smiley

Careful with VTC man. I think you may have got in at the top of a pump.  Embarrassed
I got in around 7-or a little above..so it's ok...plus sold some between 10 and 11.
There are no doubt loads of stale bulls there though, so may take time if it's going to fly.

I think I was pretty lucky to get most of my XC back though..it's looking good. Still have a few to buy back not too many now though Smiley

Hi QCN fans  Smiley
wondering how the promo team is going , and how the dev team is shaping up.
What needs to be done?  Smiley

I sold some XC to buy VTC a little while ago, I wanted to buy and only had XC at Mint.. I don't mind buying some XC back if they are up 20% if I make more out of the VTC, and I already have.

1415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XC][OFFICIAL] PoS/Privacy on: July 01, 2014, 07:05:39 AM
Im trying to send some coins (non xc) to my main wallet address again in order to create a single new PoS block instead of hundreds of many small ones with single coins, but I am getting a transaction failed message. Any ideas?

Probably because you have too many inputs creating too large of a transaction in terms of size. Select less inputs using coin control.

(Holy Shit. A supposedly known troll just helped out!)
OMFG!..someone has hacked Propulsion's account.  Grin
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: June 29, 2014, 10:00:53 AM
3.52 is an expected approximate coins after first halving, in real life that amount will be lower, because of penalties in huge blocks. Now we are on 10696 block with 3,279,389,927.13799100 notes in circulation. So the average reward on the first 11000 blocks is 306600 duckNote per 1 block.
ok...thanks. I'm trying to reconsider this coin.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: June 29, 2014, 09:54:27 AM

Unless the Dev comes on here and shows some understanding of this broken market...
And announces a plan/fork to address this death spiral with a reverse split...
I'm gonna dump my 3-4 million and never look back... getting 1 sat is better than zero.
I have been a bit negative on this coin, but I'm reconsidering. Don't sell your coins into the market at 2 sat. I will buy 4 million off you at 2.5 at least, while it is 2 bid. I don't want my questions here to be getting you more negative than you are.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: June 29, 2014, 09:33:11 AM

It will half at 11000 blocks.  We are at block 10627.  That means we have 373 blocks to go. 4 minute blocktime, that means we have about 24.86 hours to go.  So it will half about this time tomorrow.

So your final estimate is:

2:12:47 am EDT  |  Monday, June 30, 2014
Thank you.

duckNote halving usually appears on the new moon/beginning of the moon growing.
Thanks. So how many notes will have been mined after the first month? Around 3 billion?
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: June 29, 2014, 03:20:23 AM
Is there a place to trade XDN apart from the exchanges?
I will buy XDN @ 2.2 sat and sell at 2.8 sat.
PM me
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | Fork for Masternode Payment on: June 29, 2014, 03:12:45 AM
Ok boys, differences aside, I think DRK and XC can both agree that VRC is nothing more than a hyped up gimmick coin. Come on on now...
It's difficult to say. There is little doubt to me that real world applications enabling easy access to commerce seems attractive.
That said, I presume, VRC must have a deal with an exchange, and with licensed financial companies in the US.
If they don't have a deal with an exchange then how will they convert VRC into BTC?
