2162  Economy / Economics / Re: The Dedollarisation is on the road on: February 01, 2023, 09:34:15 PM
There are facts such as the dollar will lose its dominance, but the problem lies in finding an alternative that represents the global monetary reserve currency. Most of the countries you are talking about such as China, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Switzerland do not have attractive currencies to be an alternative to the dollar. It is true that countries will begin to diversify their reserves, but The dollar will remain attractive.

If the process has begun, it will be long, and the percentage of the dollar will decrease as reserves in central banks and individuals, but without a world war, we will not see much change.
2163  Other / Meta / Re: I intend ti create a new topic for users offering escrow services on: February 01, 2023, 09:29:00 PM
We could list thousands of reasons why this list should be created, but I hope your criteria is a little strict or at least several categories to be listed as trusted and updated regularly.

Examples of strict standards:

  • Do you have a hardware wallet?
  • Will you keep coins in a hot wallet or cold storage?
  • Do you know the basics of Bitcoin?
  • Recent deals within the last 6 months.
  • No recommendations or negative feedback.
  • local time? And the speed of response.
  • Experience in what he escrow (good in the case of digital products or shipping services)

2164  Economy / Speculation / Re: FED seem like the most powerful manipulator overall on: January 31, 2023, 09:07:45 PM
believe that what is happening is due to the effect of the Fed's decisions on the psychological market factors, which are exploited to influence supply and demand, which ultimately influences the price.
If we go back a little, the decisions had no effect, and because they were expected, the market is not affected by them, or the effect is known in advance. As for unexpected decisions, they are what cause a lot of changes in the price.

So the unexpected decisions of the Fed are what make real changes or have an impact on the price, but these unexpected decisions rarely happen.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-premium-hits-60-in-nigeria-as-it-limits-atm-cash-withdrawals

2167  Other / Meta / Re: I am login at forum but forget password on: January 31, 2023, 07:40:39 PM
Did you post your Bitcoin address here Stake your Bitcoin address here New then follow this Recovering hacked/lost accounts to recover your account.
If you write down any Bitcoin address publicly and can sign a message from it, you may be able to recover your account, even if it is an altcoin address.

Otherwise, try your luck by sending information that only the account owner knows, and then it will be a long process to recover your account.
2168  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Connecting to a node? on: January 31, 2023, 07:14:28 PM
Message forwarded. But since I can't understand it or compile anything, she probably will be as lost as I am.
She needs to setup a reverse proxy somthing like --http-addr <host:ip> but if she doesn't know what to do, then why she needs to run a full node? Managing full node requires advanced skills because it is mainly intended to enhance privacy/verify every things with your self.
If she does not understand what she are doing, any wrong step will lead you to create holes in your privacy.
2169  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling US VISA/Mastercard prepaid cards (Vanilla, Kroger) on: January 31, 2023, 07:02:26 PM
- Kroger gift card (prepaidgiftbalance.com)
According to many Customer ReviewsforPrepaidGiftBalance.com these cards are scam with 1.2/5 Rating.

Do you guarantee that the users' experience will be good and that they will get a refund if these cards do not work?
What is the list of sites that accept these cards? Do you work in all sites or are there restrictions on it?

ILLEGALLY OBTAINED CARDS - NO CHARGEBACKS!

How do you ensure it is legal or not stolen? Your account is new and does not contain a trading history.
Are you ready to use a guarantee or even a forum escrow so that you will not get your money until after the buyer reports that the card works, or are you just an intermediary for those sites?

If you are just an intermediary, it is best to read the negative comments about this service.
2170  Other / Meta / Re: Hypothetical Btalk Forum App Version/ Social Media features? on: January 31, 2023, 06:51:27 PM
You can try the latest/new forum update here https://github.com/epochtalk and discussion here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0
Some hosted sites https://coinbistro.com/boards which is based on that code.
The site is responsive, so you can browse easily over the phone, with some features that can be added and built upon (such as adding pictures without the need for external sources).
The forum is mainly focused on writing, so a similar site/app should be near to Medium
2171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to acquire Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge? on: January 29, 2023, 02:14:02 PM
The basic knowledge you are looking for is security related i.e knowing how to generate the key, how to keep the coins safe which is mostly knowing how to load the right wallet in a virus free operating system, not to download random software, use a hardware wallet and write your wallet seed securely.

In investing, the simple rule says, invest in money that you are not afraid of losing  and for long term investing.
If it is hard use DCA which mean by some bitcoin over fixed time (like per week or month)
2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will BTC do in event of US default on its debt? on: January 29, 2023, 01:27:08 PM
So,…, what do you think BTC, and cryptos in general, will do in the event of a U.S. government default?
  • The United States will not default on its debt because that is how the dollar works.
  • All the signals that try to link Bitcoin and the money markets are for press analyzes for the sake of observations or FUD that effect of supply and demand.

problems that may occur regarding states defaulting on debt will cause bigger problems than their impact on the price of Bitcoin.
The biggest problem is the increasing US debt which Bitcoin may be the solution.
2173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Practices for transferriing BTC from exchange to Ledger wallet? on: January 29, 2023, 12:47:15 PM
but I wonder if this is really necessary given that my private keys are stored on the hardware wallet and never make it to the PC. Technically, I guess it's not an air-gapped system, but more of a dedicated computer that will only be used for the following things:
It is necessary for many things, starting from reducing the cost of hardware and not ending with enhancing your privacy.

The minimum requirements for running Windows 10 are:

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit
  • Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS or 20 GB for 64-bit OS
  • Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver

Source: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-system-requirements-6d4e9a79-66bf-7950-467c-795cf0386715

Instead, you can install the Linux operating system with greater efficiency and complete control.
You don't want a lot of services, just browsing so Linux versions will be perfect even if you don't know how they work.

Just try to avoid downloading any unknown software and keep your hardware wallet in a safe place.
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: January 29, 2023, 12:31:15 PM
Do not cry over spilled milk and remember that within 70 years, miners may compete to extract a block with the same value as the weekly payments for one of the signature campaigns in which you participate.

If you have spare money and instead of regretting the past, invest now, and forget about those coins for 30 to 40 years and then they may be your best investment.

If you go back in the services board, you will find that people used to give 5 bitcoins on easy tasks, and today it is impossible to collect that amount even if you worked for more than a month.

Spa -> Eng / Eng -> Spa - Translations 0.5 BTC/page
Doing Any and All Tedious/Repetitive Computer Tasks (0.5 BTC/hr)
Dedicated VPS - 6.5 BTC/m
2175  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Primary Purpose (Advertising or Gift) on: January 29, 2023, 12:13:52 PM
Bitcoin signatures campaigns are often expensive but Token bounty/signatures campaigns are very profitable:

  • They get promoted here, on twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and even free articles for their token.
  • More distribution of those tokens that will create liquidity and thus promotion Here it is the cheapest ever.
  • Promotional campaigns require some form of identity verification, or a large amount of money.
  • The level of views is high on the forum, and most of us have bought and sold bitcoins at least once.
  • Some gambling service cant ads outside this forum

So bounty campaigns are the cheapest way to promote your project with a good return on views compared to other places where you will pay a lot to promote your service.

2176  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning CrownChange.net is likely scam. Fake bestchange partnership on: January 29, 2023, 11:50:19 AM
It is easy to buy a script and program it to look like this site. I remember seeing dozens of sites that have a similar interface, and therefore, with a low budget, the fraudster can create dozens of similar sites, and I expect that this is what he did.

What will happen if we report these accounts?
Wouldn't it be banned because it's spam. it was not created for the purpose of discussions, but rather to pump the topic.

If there is someone in the Russian local board, with a little research they will find some similar platforms.
2177  Other / Meta / Re: BTC value at msg date on: January 29, 2023, 11:22:31 AM
Partially you have it with small products from BlackHatCoiner,
If there is historical data, the code can easily be modified to show the price on a specific date, but it will not be able to fetch the date of the topic, meaning this solution is suitable for current and future topics, not in the past.

The only solution is a userscript to display the price at the time of topic created.
If there is demand for such scripts, I can try to write something. Grin

Off-topic: Are there really people who read old topics? they will be archived, except for specific topics.
2178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: January 28, 2023, 10:04:18 PM
Life is full of opportunities. There may be an opportunity that passes in front of you now and you regret it in the future. You wish it was in the past to seize it. Therefore, do not regret the past opportunities and focus on how to identify new opportunities before they appear.

Don't forget that Bitcoin is still in the initial stages and we may see crazy highs soon.
All these investments were useless 10 years ago.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin with Utility or Coin without any Utility? on: January 28, 2023, 09:28:58 PM
Doge is an exceptional case, tell me how many memes rose before it? As for what rose after that, it is a temporary rise due to pumping and unloading, but most of these currencies do not have any value, and therefore they are not an investment.

The best thing I recommend to the forum is not to invest in something that you do not understand, and therefore understand cryptocurrencies, buy bitcoin, and understand how the market works, and then make the decision to speculate or not.

There is no rush to buy altcoins when you can buy bitcoins.
2180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin will Rise Now !it is better to buy some more Bitcoin ,Where to buy from? on: January 28, 2023, 09:08:55 PM
Is this investment advice? Or are you looking for a platform? Or is it a question about buying? Or do you tell others about the platform?

To choose a “good” platform, there are criteria that make it good in your eyes and bad in the eyes of others, so good is a criterion that may not be valid for everyone.

Some of the disadvantages of the platforms are advantages of others. For example, in the centralized exchange, you will enjoy privacy, full control over your currencies, choosing several ways to buy and sell, but in return you will find weak liquidity, slow execution of orders, and you may pay more fees.
