1244  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Ark Customized Version Of The A1 Chip Bitcoin Miner 1.5T ( low power consumption on: September 05, 2014, 05:52:38 AM
opieum2:

With these 1.5T they're packing in more chips and not overclocking it.

Previously with the 1 th they're only packing 32 chips and overclocking it hence reducing power efficiency.

To remain competitive while continuing to use A1 chips, they pack 60 A1s and then don't overclock it or only overclock it slightly hence achieving the higher efficiency.

All the major A1 vendors in China are doing this.

bro tak cukup power lah . . . add psu = more weight + increased shipping costs
1245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Owners Thread on: September 04, 2014, 04:21:27 AM
Suggested/recommended psu? 10 psu is needed for a moq set. It's going to be a wire jungle ! Can the dps2000w support 2 miners 24x7 ? Looks like a little to close to psu max output. For stock settings i think 1 only 1 pcie needs to be connected and 2 if oc? Not too sure myself so owners please confirm.
1246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide][Easy2Mine.com] Notlist3d's Dragon 1.5 Guide and Info (Picture Heavy) on: September 04, 2014, 03:56:32 AM
Again i feel false advertising at group buy again. As per my question what is initial psu? Answer was 1200w but now with the picture above, we can all see very clearly that it is only using a 1100w psu & the normal power consumption is already 1070w, not much margin.  Pcie cables are flexi ones but looks weak & have a high chance of melting.  Heatsinks do get hot or even very hot ! Cabling is a mess.
1247  Economy / Services / Re: [www.easy2mine.com] 899$ The groups buy of dragon 1.5T bitcoin miner on: September 02, 2014, 10:04:15 AM
"initial" psu is how many Watts psu ?

how many orders have been placed ?

min is 200 to get this price so now how many confirmed ? it is only 200 units available or it does not matter ?

any further discount on shipping fee or miner price if a minimum purchase of 10 dragons ? shipping rate to asia ?

mr li is very nice guy but imho, the group buy prices is misleading without the shipping price & at 1st it looked like "false" advertisement.

looking forward to more detailed/clearer information.

thx.

1249  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 31, 2014, 08:19:26 PM
did or did not anyone notice some sort of "diverting" legit questions such as payouts on time or missing payouts, disappearing acts, S3 giveaways, pool has been up for some time, but there is always a "fix" going on the front & back end, fix is never ending, when too much complaints or "evidence" / comments about a particular problem, then payouts are suddenly appearing to be accurate & on time or a picture proof shows up ? looks like there is much problems at the pool that has to be fixed but no one knows when or how.

it's a mystery that has to be solved but of course the lack of communication is always there but you have to send a mail to "missing/fell asleep on the keyboard" admin/owner but there may or may not be a reply. also send a pm (so it's not spammy or to be seen or known to other miners, i call this isolation or under the table solution ?) there's nothing to hide or avoid if someone has something to share or gather info from other miners. if a pool operator/owner has internet problems, i'm sure the pool, payouts, issues are always a priority & he/she will find alternative ways to get internet such as using mobile phone tethering to lappy or something.

just couple of very simple questions, pool operator has spent lots of investment to start off, paying bonuses + S3 giveaways, if you are the owner/operator, would you be "missing" ? then who controls the payouts every hour or every couple of hours daily ? don't you have to reload or monitor the wallet for payout ? how is the pool running etc ? tracking numbers of miners sent out ? wouldn't you keep a file or record somewhere ? it's $ going out daily if no blocks hit by pool & it's coming out of operator's own pocket . . .

if x person has x amount of ghs/ths mining at a pool and pool pays out every hour, so that x person should be getting payment every hour not 1 or 2 payments less even if the pool is giving out the bonus, set the bonus aside if hourly means 24 payments but sometimes 1 or 2 payments less & why ?

next is bonus, if it's 12.5% more means 12.5% more why sometimes less ? well sometimes more it's good & happy for the x miner but i'm sure x miner would not mind if it's proper & it averages out.

if x miner points to pool with x amount of ghs/ths to 3 different server to the same pool, x miner should be getting the shares but strangely enough, miner is hashing, server is ok but at pool side it shows 0 ghs/ths but miner is mining but magically where or what is the miner mining ? if no hash = no shares but miner still mining but sometimes pool side shows some mining activity but sometimes it just goes off. miner problem ? nope because it is still mining & has been mining. connection problem ? no, internet is working fine. isp problem, yes & no, yes it could be yeah might lose some shares due to poor latency but miner should still mine though & miner is still mining & pool side should show some mining activity. pool site is sometimes working flawlessly & sometimes it just goes down suddenly especially after a block is found . . . most pools seem to be ok with that. sometimes x miner can only see own hashrate but not others & again why ? workers shows up & they don't.

well call this a rant or complain, start to spread FUD or whatever, but just my 2 cents & experience mining at the pool. mined here not because of the S3 draw, not really because of the 12.5% bonus (as it will not be there someday) it's because my friends came here to mine & thinking it's a good pool. but with the issues stated above, lots of doubts now. even friends become enemies = no fun. like i said before, there's a bunch of guys that mines here are from cex & most of us got to know each other & also supported each other when some admin @ cex started to ban customers without a legit reason & we all supported each other such as writing to cex higher admins, started our own irc channel, etc. it was those good old days but since ban things starts to mess up.

Just received a msg... again it may or may not be the truth. Just sharing.

"its all going shitty on BAN pool, s0ber has gone missing, rewards are all messed up again, "tp" is realy pissed at "mf as the s3 draw was a fix, "mf" just picked someone to win the s3 rather than it being done fairly like all the names in a hat & pick one out...he just decided who would get it each time......"tp" is going nuts saying its a fix, "d5", "tp", all the gang are going to pull the miners until things get sorted so the pool will be very low on hash"

Hope it's not true.

Missing hash? Low pay?

Look at your miner.

You told us TWICE that was one of your failover pools.

didn't even go to pool # 3 . of course swapped & tested.

oh sorry that's suppose to be help & your quote again :

You realize that when a pool show dead that it isn't mining?

it is mining on pool 2 on failover. then back to 1 , 1 went dead back to 2 n mining normally on miner side, even rebooted miners too.

are you on the singapore server by any change Huh?

don't even want to mention that but good help from others . . . was on 3 different servers (sometimes singapore or tokyo reports dead and comes back alive) but miners were hashing & on dash shows 0 hash . . . so went on other pool till things are sorted out. servers failed so it went to pool 2 on failover but then again . .  so decided to mine somewhere else till issues sorts out no idea what is happening behind the scenes. not only me but others too. my question were not answered, miners are hashing but pool shows 0 hash and no shares are reported so what were the miners mining & where did the shares went ? was told by a fellow miner that it will goto main server. not that technical but mining somewhere else.

After looking at it they are very crafty at ban by gaining minutes on rewards per hour
Let me explain!!!!!

So how they do it is this......for example first hourly payout at 1am, then next pay out 2.20am, next 3.40am.....you see that we think we are being payed hourly as we only see 2am, 3am......but it's always 20 minutes late each time meaning we lose 4 hours per day......yep meaning we lose 4 payouts per 24 hours So I pointed this out & all he'll let loose on me...got chucked of chat & thephwner emailed me asking what my problem was.......ban pool is a scam..thephwner and minerftw is now on pay roll for s0ber they told me.

got a msg from a friend, not sure it's true or not just posting on behalf.

What you say in your first paragraph is true. Most 24 hour periods lack a payment or two. Agreed.

But here is where you go wrong, pay attention now, it's not for the faint of heart!

Sum 5 days or 7 days you choose, but not 24 hrs. Compare your actual yield (don't forget the 12.5% bonus) to your "non-BAN" any other pool or calculator and the numbers don't lie. BAN pays more.

So the real issue is... you don't like getting 23 payments when you are expecting 24- even if you ARE making more. Did I hit a chord?

faint of heart it is, this is only partial that i put up. like i said it was only a message sent to me & i'm not sure that i could be wrong or right so i went & checked my payment records sent to me from s0br himself. obviously i did not only look at a day. if payment system is set to hourly then it should be 24 isn't it ? why less ? although being paid more but 1 or less in a 24 hour cycle still means i do get paid less. didn't even wanna go and look more but since there were some massive delays (more than 14 hours) in couple payment (being patiently waiting & sorted out with s0br nicely & continued to persuade my friend to stay in pool) so i looked at it after receiving the message.

here's another example of delayed payment:

From and including: Monday, 18 August 2014, 15:52:00
To, but not including Tuesday, 19 August 2014, 06:02:00

Result: 0 days, 14 hours, 10 minutes and 0 seconds

Total hashing power = 6940 gh/s per hour = 0.007370827 x 14 hours = 0.103191573 + 12.5% = 0.11609052

BTC Account Balance Confirmed (in pool) = 0.002432 + 0.11609052 = 0.11852252

0.11852252 - 0.0052763 (paid) = 0.11324622 - 0.05188571 (paid) = 0.06136051 to be PAID Tongue

i got paid by s0br after chatting with him & he did mention there were some bugs in the payment system.

and probably other bugs & never mentioned a word patiently waiting & wondering again (about .5 btc not in wallet yet after a long delay)

well, so i guess i have no rights to rant at all now with legit questions/problems. hmmmmm

ok here it is, mining with a S3 today on 2 different accounts 1 S3 each & here are the payment records from my wallet. may i know why there is a huge gap in payment ? & i ask again, did i set anything wrong in settings @ pool site or pool is still fixing payment system or well, maybe i'm wrong again, i tried to set 1 hour but it went back to 4 hours by default.

do note the times are local time UTC +8, started mining at local time 3pm on both rigs. there could be some downtime due to restarting miners but it was +/- 10 mins. local time now is 0323am.

well still no news of S3 winners announcement since the last. sorry that i posted earlier with alot of rage but was really STEAMING ! but here are some thoughts & questions in my mind but i will mine for a couple of days & see how it goes since there are "some" improvements/stability.

- i think S3's has already arrived to s0br but did the winners received it yet ? yeah lack of comm is a turn off.

- irregular payments is a BIG turn off & a BIG NO NO.  also unable to choose my payment option to hourly even after changing it, it goes back to 4 hours default. if it's 4 hours default, why put an option there ?

- pool should be informing miners if there is any hiccups & not to go on silent mode, site goes offline, servers goes up & down (tokyo server is up & down as i'm typing this), payment delays, the miner themselves have to keep track all the time & calculate a breakdown of missed payments to the pool operator/admins. imo, it should be a feedback from fellow miners & the admins should be doing their job. if so, better i mine solo or setup my own private pool to mine & keep track of myself. don't really serve the purpose of operating a pool right ?

- support who is always wanting to pm is also a turn off because it seems to me like "they" do not want to share or saying that it is "spammy" with others if one have any questions to other miners & share info especially someone who has been flaming all the while with lots of doubts, suspicious, flaming in chat & here in forum.

- miners are mining away but pool shows 0 hashrate . . . WONDERFUL !

like i said before no doubt, s0br (when he's back & free) he does cough up the missed irregular payments after sending him a breakdown & that's why i'm back and see how does it goes in the next couple of days.

comments anyone ?
