281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gauging interest around some custom hardware and cabling for GPU rigs on: October 17, 2016, 09:11:47 PM
what are those RX's sucking from the 5V off the molex sidehack ?

i didn't read all 5 pages.. apologies.

and this board will use the 12V & convert it to 5V but how many amps will it provide on the 5v ?

sub'd, looking fwd to more pix & info. might be interested to grab a few.
282  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: October 17, 2016, 09:01:44 PM
did anyone notice that the chip temp "magically" becomes lower ?

it used to be & also a rule of thumb, PCB temp +/- 30 = CHIP temp ?

eg (post above on chain #6): PCB temp 81 + 30 = 111 (CHIP temp)  but in this "new magical" FW version 81 PCB temp/ 98 CHIP temp

maybe those who owns the earlier versions before batch 16 & 17 can do a comparison ?

hmmm, IDEAL hashrate & Auto Tune, but why it takes 20 or 30 or even up to 40 mins to start to mine ? it "really" has to be doing something "magical" !

was expecting it to be more advanced instead of taking a or a few steps backwards.

now u see me now u don't but just pay me (BMT) ! LoL

sad, really sad, bring back the simple & super reliable S3's to S10/11/12/13/14/15 .... with OPEN SOURCE to the PUBLIC ! you can just chuck it at almost anywhere & run it be it high ambient temps, dust or no dust, not that SUPER LOUD jet engine.

really sad to see the newer it is the worse it becomes.

ah yeah the superb pricing too . . .

just my 2 cents, if the buying STOPS the KILLING STOPS too.

@claymore, eth + SC or eth+lbc is 2%fee...
eth +dcr 1%fee?
that's according to op on 1st page.  mind to clarify?

thx.

287  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: September 20, 2016, 06:27:47 AM
mine had same problem too, can't recall which batch atm but it's still under warranty. 11.85 ths version.  mines nicely then hashrate drops, reboot only 9 chips shown n no led on the board. in this case it is chain #1. email to bmt.  captured some screen shots. the other 2 is working fine. sometimes occasional now you see me now you don't x shows but it goes away by itself. grrrr
288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: September 18, 2016, 03:15:18 PM
lots of probs but still sold out heh ...
289  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: September 14, 2016, 07:15:51 AM

greetings, have a S9 would be better to have 2 S7 ? I doubt that since I 'm new mining

anything that fails/breaks easily is NOT good !

the pool/site is broken, don't seem to work.

nice interface (clean) but the worker creation, instructions, guide are not user friendly & confusing !

yeah, spv mine no good. hope to see some improvements.

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New stratum/getwork proxy with Web-based GUI and pools management on: September 06, 2016, 09:41:32 PM
still can;t find the answer, other miners connected to this proxy then to nh/wh works ok with some occasional rejects then back to normal but when antminers connected via this proxy pointed to nh/wh, it gets lots of rejects, dupes, stales...

BUT when the antminers are pointed directly to nh/wh, they work fine.

mystery waiting to be solved.

just to nh/wh on the ants that have high errors but to other pools it works fine.
293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: September 06, 2016, 02:33:00 AM
it magically comes & go at the same spot ! jeeez

"X" marks the spot ? i noticed few are seeing the magical "X"

well before bmt posts, my voltage is 12.4V on load ! so it ain't a PSU problem.

nope I am guessing this gear is simply less durable due to chip size of 14-16 nm

I think a lot of units are going to fail at a higher rate then any other bitmaintech product.

Symptoms seem to be happening with many miners in many places.

I suggest to down clock  a bit always keep temps at 65-95 as best you can.
Hope for the best with the gear.

makes no or little difference imo. agree on the chipsize though.

let's hope it does not spread ....

my prediction for next batches . . .

price is gonna go UP ! not expecting them to be cheaper .

TIA for sharing.

298  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty for Cracking Bitmain S9 BMminer on: September 02, 2016, 02:44:42 PM
here's my view:

.....

some who flashed to upgrade the original fw by BMT bricked !

so it is entirely up to you s9 owners out there. i'm using original bmminer & i can mine anywhere freely.

.....

Has never happened with  my 23 x S9, that original software bricked miner.

(Has never happened with  my 43x S7)

So I think it is more
ya ya, bla bla bla, just my honest 2 cents worth.

has never happened does NOT mean that it'll NEVER happen & it has happened to few already.

basic rules, ain't broken DON'T fix it !

NON of my S9's board has failed on me "yet" & i hope it won't till it's EOL.

since u have 23 x S9 you did have some FAILED boards don't you ?

I run & operate a little more miners than you do tupsu. be nice , play nice Wink
299  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty for Cracking Bitmain S9 BMminer on: September 02, 2016, 01:27:19 PM
here's my view:

kman & ck good guys, helped community lots & they do keep an eye out on many crypto related stuff out there especially on cgminer part.

fubly, i;d say he is a good coder BUT he did violate the GPL earlier with s5/s7 thingy that he re-coded or invented BUT he DID NOT ask any permission from cryptoglance to use or MODIFY the software i know because i was the one who informed cryptoglance team + kman & later fubly sorted it out with CG.

There was definitely something fubly hid from the public & was NOT being honest in the earlier days & starting to charge to for his "modified" version of cgminer & CG but did not ask any permission to do so, so i'd say there's some dishonesty out there & at times he was being a little hard headed.

there is NO way that you can just by manipulating a software to gain or to improve mining speed without "touching" or modding externals such as the capability to increase voltages from the PSU say from 12V to 12.5V !!! well s7 with 45 chips version has a dc-dc converter & the ONLY known way to mod the voltages is by reprogramming/modding the HW such as PROVEN work by sidehack ! so by this in fubly's earlier thread & such claims I am totally not convinced at all & have put him into my scam list !

back to this bounty thing, fubly did what he tried to do & we do see some results & progress, would he have done it putting "X" amount of non-stop work if there was no bounty offered ? well idk, like i said he is good coder & made some changes & a little more honest this time, published many things but not all though.

kman & ck is just sticking to the GPL & prolly some personal & fair opinions.

to those who want to use the "cracked" bmminer by fubly go ahead those who thinks it is NOT right/safe to do so then stick to what is working that's ain't broken !

like i mentioned earlier, without doing anything the s9 is fragile & breaks down by itself !

some who flashed to upgrade the original fw by BMT bricked !

so it is entirely up to you s9 owners out there. i'm using original bmminer & i can mine anywhere freely.

i would support this if there are blessings from the creators.

fubly, you do not have to tell/prove to others how much work you've out in or how hard you work non-stop, the community knows & they can tell ! even before you have any +ve results or you telling how hard you've worked, the bounty was already there.

be nice, play nice, be HONEST & respect each other & you WILL get what you deserve !

ya ya, bla bla bla, just my honest 2 cents worth.
300  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: September 01, 2016, 08:25:37 PM
when i connect my antminer s7 & s9 directly to nh it mines properly with very few rejects/stales or dupes but when i connect them via proxy lots of rejects especially dupes & invalid extranonce shares.

INFO:strat.mining.stratum.proxy.worker.StratumWorkerConnection - REJECTED share (diff: 4096.0) from on Nice/West Hash. Booo !!!!. Error: JsonRpcError code=20, message=Invalid extranonce2 size., traceback=null

other miners via proxy are ok, normal with occasional rejects such as stales or dupes just the antminers.

any solutions ?

thx.
