little birdie says . . . between 40-43K USD . . . MOQ . . . around 15 units . . . Delivery around March 2016

I think your little Birdie is off on Price and Units and Time Frame. Just a helpful Hint.
I am sure the guys at BTCS will post a Video of them running.

BTCS stock is a Great Buy right now check out the REDCHIP.com video on BTCS

http://www.redchip.com/company/technology/BTCS/217/bitcoin

newbie with a couple of post & a "strong" supporter/pusher for btcs ... hmmmm

let's see how helpful or accurate your hint is but i'm sure my birdie is pretty spot on.

just a waiting game atm eventually the actual #'s will pop out.

from the way i see it, sp is on the losing side atm due to availability of miner, nda, unknown pricing, moq, etc etc

no doubt sp makes good miners but well again ... let's see
722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 26, 2015, 02:02:48 PM
I now have a label!

Ups says it was created today!

With any luck I shoul see my machine by Thursday maybe Friday.

Where you see a label ?

From past experience the Order ID is the tracking # & use that # on ups tracking site ??

forgot must be getting old here.

My order list color changed.

Total Price             Pay                          Status       Create Time
5.817 BTC      Pay:5.817 BTC                Paid              2015-10-25
                   Confirm:5.817 BTC        Unshipped         10:44:32.0
                                                        Valid

The Status box was grey yesterday & now it has turned green. I'd assume thats good news. Just wait & see. Expecting delays.

The hashrate may drop at some point as we plan to sell a bunch of miners to make room for the new ones that we have already paid for.
Oh, very exciting!  What gear are you bringing online?  You have been very successful so far using "older" gear that others have sold off, so I was wondering if this is new new gear, meaning more efficiency, or more previous generation gear?

Hi yslyung,

Your deposit of -----...BTC was added to your balance and the ------ BTC correctly reflected your balance.

Should you really be publishing user's balances and transaction details in a public forum?

That was ill-considered. Removed.

Thanks for that. And yeah, definitely shouldn't post user balances without their consent (huge privacy violation).

hi guys, thx for keeping an eye out & yes that's why i did not post any numbers or too much details here but i did mention/provide more details in pm + wechat to eric.

I made the statement in my post :

"as a security precaution, i have made a full withdrawal for time being till the issue is resolved. the full withdrawal went smooth. just the deposit i made did not show up in my Bitcoin balance & the lost of interest over 20 hrs or so & the deposited BTC is NOT in my account & in the withdrawal that I just made.

please refer to the snapshots i have sent to you via wechat & hope to hear from you soon."

Now not only security worries, PRIVACY too. I don't mean to be a PITA but this is a big no no for posting balances or details of account in a open public forum. Maybe haobtc is too transparent ?

Now even more confidence is lost with haobtc. I had lots fo confidence even at the very beginning but now my mind has changed.

726  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Suddenly too much BTC in my armory ? Weird issues. on: October 25, 2015, 03:58:32 PM
It looks like you were victim to the transaction malleability attack. Someone malleated your transaction and it looks like one of the two transactions (original or malleated) was confirmed, so your coins are where you sent them, nothing except the txid changed. The problem is that Armory saw both transactions, and the one that is unconfirmed will never be confirmed (it is considered a double spend). To clear it, go to Help > Clear All Unconfirmed. That will also removed the other unconfirmed transaction you have.

yeah thats what i did !

thx so much. i repaired it, armory sees that it;s normal then shutdown properly rebooted pc n did clear couple of times.

now it's all back to normal.
727  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Suddenly too much BTC in my armory ? Weird issues. on: October 25, 2015, 01:47:20 PM
it stays o conf. it has been 5 hours now.

this is starting to worry me & it says my wallet is: (on blockchain)

Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to or from this address.

A conflicting transaction has been detected in our memory pool. The transaction hash displayed below may change.

no joy, after repair it looks normal but after a restart it stays there. can any dev pls help me.
729  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Suddenly too much BTC in my armory ? Weird issues. on: October 25, 2015, 01:08:24 PM
it was fixed the i attempted to send btc for my purchase then the it did not show up in block chain, yes i included fees.

quit armory then restarted & the same problem arises with the weird BTC balance.

Repairing it again now, once it is done repairing I will shut down armory & restart it & see what happens. will not attempt to send any btc yet.

did anyone encounter problems like this ?
730  Bitcoin / Armory / Suddenly too much BTC in my armory ? Weird issues. on: October 25, 2015, 12:55:09 PM
I did some cleaning up by sending some BTC to other add's & some to myself for easier management & it all worked flawlessly.

Last thing I did was to sent some BTC to my own add & sent some BTC to purchase some goods but looks like the transaction did not go thru in blockchain & it says unconfirmed & also it says this "A conflicting transaction has been detected in our memory pool. The transaction hash displayed below may change."

then i restarted armory & QT but armory did not want to shutdown normally then i went to task manager & end the process. no changes.

rebooted my pc & this showed up in my armory:

i restarted my pc again, loaded up armory then QT, went to Wallet -> Fix Damaged Wallet -> Full Recovery & selected the wallet that has the issue. Took about 20 mins or so & now it seems to be fixed as of typing.

The small amount BTC that I sent to myself came thru but the BTC sent did not go thru & i just checked blockchain it says :

"Warning! this transaction is a double spend. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to/from this sender."

All the BTC is in my wallet. Guess I have to resend the BTC for the purchase i wanted to make.

p/s: i "wish" the amount shown in my wallet is REAL ! LoL

hope someone can pinpoint the problem & my apologies if the explanoation wasn't really clear.
731  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: October 23, 2015, 08:56:28 PM
eric, i sent you a few pictures & msg's via wechat regarding my issue. i hope it can be resolved asap.

i don't mean to say or mean anything -ve but so far my experiences are ok with haobtc despite some minor hiccups in the beginning.

basically i have made a deposit as usual to my account but it says cancel (in red) but then shortly it says finish (in green, over 217 confirmations now) as usual & transaction record (bottom of wallet page) updates my final balance but on top of wallet page bitcoin balance wasn't updated for the last 20 hours as of this posting.

as a security precaution, i have made a full withdrawal for time being till the issue is resolved. the full withdrawal went smooth. just the deposit i made did not show up in my Bitcoin balance & the lost of interest over 20 hrs or so & the deposited BTC is NOT in my account & in the withdrawal that I just made.

please refer to the snapshots i have sent to you via wechat & hope to hear from you soon.

i've also redirected some of my miners to the pool for a boost.

more to come soon Wink

rav3n_pl any new updates on your p2p fork ? appreciate a link.

i;ve just updated to latest qt 11.1 so far so good.
733  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: transaction not accepted on: October 22, 2015, 08:51:20 AM
Here's a work around that you should be able to use until we release a fix:

When creating a transaction check the box for "create unsigned transaction" and click continue. Export the transaction, then import it and sign it. If you use cold storage you are already doing these steps.

Then instead of broadcasting the transaction, click the link labeled "For more information about this transaction". That opens up a Transaction Info dialog. At the bottom, click the "Copy raw TX (hex)" button.

Paste the raw transaction to https://blockchain.info/pushtx  and click submit transaction.

Basically blockchain has already made the necessary fix to guarantee that the "Low S" is used, and applies it to raw transactions.

You don't need to export it. In expert mode:
- create unsigned tx
- copy to clipboard
- continue
- paste
- sign
- copy raw tx (the button is just there in expert mode so no need to open additional info)
- submit

thx for the workaround ... i was also thinking about manually pushing it out & yes it works.

was working normally till qt upgraded to 11.1

looking fwd to a fix.

thx again guys. got me worried for a couple of mins.
734  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 21, 2015, 08:44:52 PM
That system is using spinning-disk media.

A HDD? Do people still use them?  Cheesy

I'd ditch that if I were you - they're terrible for Bitcoin wallet, p2pool & mining in general. Only good for servers now.

Glad we got to the bottom of this, it was a head banger for me, so I'm sure it was doing your nut in!  Cheesy Wink

not really .... mine runs on hdd (wd reds) on RAID 10 is as fast or faster than a regular ssd & much more cost efficient, lots of space & if any of the hdd fails it still works.
735  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 21, 2015, 03:27:25 PM
To anyone who has experiences in p2pool, for 2.3PH/s running 24x7 how many bitcoins would you estimate I would get/day?

Thanks

D = Difficulty
H = Mhash/s
C = Reward (currenctly 25 BTC, soon to be 12.5)

24 / (D * 2^32 / (H * 10^6) / 60 / 60) * C = BTC/day
Writing the formula another way:
Code:
25 / (2^32 * difficulty / hashrate / 86400)
For 2.3PH/s it's 18.99852101BTC expected per day.

Your calculation seems fairly accurate.

I get about 18.6 with PPS.

I might give it a shot. thanks man.

as i mentioned earlier, you'll need to be very patient with p2p. takes sometime to build up the payout. best is to run your own p2p next to your miners.

would love to see a boost in p2p
736  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: October 21, 2015, 03:26:03 PM
OK, think I'm done with this pool. My payout on the last block according to the graph should have been 0.012 but was actually around 0.005. Then I had to restart the pool and bitcoind and my shares dropped again. Something screwy, chaps.

I'm not sure what front end your running, but the predicted payout reported by p2pool is exact if a block is found "now". Perhaps you had some shares drop off from when you saw it and when the block was mined?

defo something is NOT right ... my pool estimated payout & http://minefast.coincadence.com/p2pool-stats.php reads out to be very close & i use it to cross reference it.

setup your own pool op or move to another pool.

To anyone who has experiences in p2pool, for 2.3PH/s running 24x7 how many bitcoins would you estimate I would get/day?

Thanks

not that difficult to estimate ... if you are the only one running p2p with 2.3 PH then you would get all 25 btc rite ?

so now p2p is around 1.7ph + 2.3ph (yours) = 4 ph

math comes out to a little over 13 btc NOT daily. it is ONLY when p2p hits a block or more then you'll be rewarded with the btc which could be 4 a day too.

oh you do get a little "extra" bonus of 0.5% if you're the block finder.

i'd say give it a shot but you'll need lots of patience in p2p but it does pays off. ask away as many here would be able to give you answers to p2p.

to get 25 BTC per day you would need 4.4PHs. If you have 2.3PHs you will get daily 13 BTC. Actual luck is higher than 100%. 30 days luck is 147%. So ideal calculacion is 13*1.47=19.21BTC. My own 42 days back statistics says I have got around 120% of what I could mine with other pools. But for to reach this you need to have well done p2pool node (great hardware), well done bitcoind server, great internet connection, well tunned miners (spondoolies do not need any tunning, antminers do). good luck

That's a over estimation (don't forget to take the "dry spells" into account).

I'd rather NOT to over estimate the payout using history for future payout but use the history as payout reference/estimation based on a worse case scenario. just my 2 cents.

don't really need a good hw but of course it is preferred. maybe the correct term or word is "Proper Setup" hey but that's the fun of learning Wink

-bitcoind is bitcoind, i'm using qt on win7 & so far so good.
-great internet connection ? i'd say STABLE no need to be high speed or high bandwidth
-tuned miners ... hmm preferred of course but ant's do run fine some miners are NOT compatible though but should run. ask away & you shall get answers.

imho, there is no 1 single pool that's the best. all of it has it's up's & downs. be your own judge.
