141  Economy / Services / Re: 24,000kh/s Scrypt mining power for rent (0,6LTC per mh) on: February 04, 2014, 12:16:31 PM
I'm curious to know how much this costs in BTC/USD and what hash power I get?As I was looking into using a mining contract with the view of mining a lot of scrypt coins more quickly than my PC can mine at (480Kh/s)

142  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: February 04, 2014, 12:13:22 PM
I'm happy I joined your scheme as I got paid straightaway.

HInt to those with multiple signatures like me,put this signature on the very first line and also after this signature be sure to leave a blank line between your other signatures so the software can clearly recognise it (how can you expect it to read through things in a confusing layout?)

Do that and you'll be good to go Smiley
143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC , combo.Two new model coming >10MHS. on: February 04, 2014, 10:54:06 AM
I'm a Hero member who's interested in reviewing this ASIC as I'm very impressed with the hashrate vs power use.I have a large twitter following (over 160K) so if you send it to me,I'll make sure to give you good quality feedback .

Is this compatible for mac users or for PC only? Can you embed your drivers into Asteroid/Mac miner by sending them to the development teams of that software? As it'll allow me to test it then Smiley

145  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Got questions about mining difficulty on: February 02, 2014, 01:48:38 PM
I've got a few questions about difficulty, thanks to an article claiming that BTC will fall to $10 by the middle of this year so anyway, when the value drops significantly, does the mining difficulty significantly enough for smaller miners to benefit again or is this just a case of ever growing difficulty that'll continue as long as BTC exists?

Would like some help in understanding this better.

146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wtf? i woke up and it says my bitcoin got sent to some one's address on: February 02, 2014, 01:25:50 PM
its on my computer

Let me guess, you are running Windows.  Undecided

Never use Windows to store your wallets.
This is bullshit. Using windows, never had any wallets stolen. Stupid people will install malicious software no matter which os they use. From what I see most of bitcoin stealing stuff comes with bitcoin related software, a different os will not protect you from that.

Majority of the people who got their wallet stolen uses Windows. That is a fact.
Are mac users like myself less likely to have this issue?Or should I just be vigilant as everyone else needs to be?What solutions exist for an offline wallet? As I'm looking into one due to recent unusual access attempts to my online wallet (it's safe as I have 2 factor login). My coins are still safe/there it's just more important now to get them moved to an offline wallet though.
147  Bitcoin / Mining support / Ant miner U1 and Asteriod crash my Mac sometimes.Need a fix on: February 02, 2014, 12:21:18 PM
I've just noticed this issue but once a day for the past 3 days now, whenever I mine with Ant Miner U1 ASIC,using Asteriod (since it's the only software on my mac that works for mining) it crashes my mac.

Here's what happens:
1.Mining fine for a while (24/7)
2.Screen goes black, mac crashes and restarts
3.I'm greeted with a grey screen saying 'You computer was restarted due to a problem'
4.System restarts ok and am greeted with a dialogue box saying the same thing.
5.Dismissed it,everything loads fine until the next time.

My Mac used to have rock solid stability before I started mining with the ASIC/Asteriod.

I'm not sure what's wrong and am unhappy with a crashing mac caused by the ASIC.

I would really like a fix otherwise I'd have to sell the miner/stop mining for good.

Would send a log here but not sure how to get that info off my mac.

Edit:
Here's the og I managed to get so far https://www.dropbox.com/s/aravdzu6rqjek6c/Console%20log%202%3A2%3A2014%20so%20far.rtf

Copied it off my mac into a document.I don't know if the answers lie here or somewhere else as I'm not too good with stuff like this.
148  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: What Do Miners Want in a Pool? on: February 02, 2014, 10:47:04 AM
Ease of use.
Stability.
Low fees.
Responsive operators (and if they have a cool Avatar like DrHaribo that's a bonus).
Merged mining.
Remote monitoring and ability to restart from anywhere.
Automatic payout.

I like a clean looking GUI with tweak-able settings that have pop up directions.

Just a few
Sounds like the things I also want.I want to be able to use merged mining with my Ant miner ASIC so I can get coins from different currencies with same hashrate.I also want those other coins to be automatically converted into BTC for me like Ozcoin used to do for me,so I can actually get a decent return with the hashrate I've got. 149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Bitcoin Users Can Face Jail Time up to 15 years on: February 02, 2014, 10:41:51 AM
Yeah can someone make it already as I think Putin is just a stupid bigot for his anti gay laws.Thankfully I live in UK so I can express my views more freely than in Russia. Smiley

You may be parroting some disinfo here. Which laws are you referring to?
I don't know the specific laws because all the news I've seen seems to ban giving info about gays, which effectively stop people from saying we want equality or something to that effect.

It's drawn a lot of complaints though.

disinfo?Never heard of that term before.Starting to think things aren't so clear :/

Edit:Here's a better article on it http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/russia-anti-gay-law-casts-a-shadow-over-sochis-2014-olympics/2013/09/29/3646344c-27a6-11e3-9372-92606241ae9c_story.html

151  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: February 01, 2014, 09:05:03 PM
I'm pretty sure they do but I would like to see them offer a wider range of services besides 'cam' services as I think that once women adopt a new innovation,it seems to make the public more willing to embrace it as it'll be for everyone Smiley

153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predictions for 2014 on: February 01, 2014, 08:55:22 PM
When do you think they will reach $1000 USD?
I thought we were already past that for a while now as it peaked at $1200 then dropped quite a bit for a while.Im starting to think the Forbes article I saw was right in claiming that it could drop to $10 by the middle of this year (reminds me of how BTC dropped sharply in July 2011,back when I was a newcomer into mining just before that crash) but this time around after a short slump,it'll rise sharply again so be sure to buy early and quickly when that happens.

154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predictions for 2014 on: February 01, 2014, 08:44:57 PM
All I look forward to is cashing out before the drop and buy lots of them cheaply
155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want in will my PC even do it? on: February 01, 2014, 12:18:27 AM
Thanks kindly. Even if I don't profit, I'll still be able to try something new and in the end I have a good graphics card. Hopefully the alt-coins will hold for a while. Seems that every time something awesome comes out (read: Magic money machine) they have to go and piss in the pot.

I'll start with the card so at least I can run my games and we'll go from there.

*EDIT: I checked out the Radeon R9-280X. Holy smokes! Impressive looking but no way can I swing over $400 right now. AMD 5870 is a bit over what I was thinking of but definitely doable. It has a Kh/S rate of 400 which is incredible compared to my current card. My wattage is at about 400 and that's the peak value I believe.

I went on the litecoin calculator and though i don't know exactly all the values I entered my wattage, cost of power, and the 400 Kh/S I ended up with $68 monthly profit. Still, I don't know about pool fees and all that, and then what to do with the litecoins or otherwise once I want to cash out. But that's down the road.

If money's an issue go for an HD7950 on ebay,I've seen them going for a good rate as the hashrate can be pretty good (around 650-720 kh/s I hear) for scrypt mining.I say mine DOGE coins or another alt coin then cash them in for BTC,then trade for real money (like I'm doing now, except I repurposed my GPU from mining BTC to DOGE coins as I delegated Bitcoin based alt coins,SHA-256 technology, to my newly purchased Ant miner U1 ASIC as I can mine both kinds of coins at the same time,a practice known as Hybrid mining.)

I'm starting to feel glad that I entered the mining scene from May 2011 (which was completely different which I guess makes me an old member here)

I know what I'm saying is a bit more advanced but I'm sure you can do ok with it. Smiley
156  Bitcoin / Pools / Looking for best merged mining pool on: January 31, 2014, 10:22:50 PM
Hi
Ever since I got my ant miner Asic,I was a hoping someone can help me find a mining pool that lets me mine other coins with the same amount of hash power at the same time as bitcoin with the intention of having the other coins auto converted into more BTC for me,just like oz coin pool in used to do for me until I was forced to change it.

Thanks Smiley
157  Economy / Computer hardware / Looking for an affordable Scrypt ASIC miner on: January 31, 2014, 03:26:05 PM
Hi
I've been looking into this for sometime but since I want to start adopting Scrypt based ASICs for my mining operation and retire that Radeon HD6950 once and for all (yeah I know, don't get me started on how slow they are)

Can someone help me find an option that can ship to the UK (we'll discuss import duties via PM as it's best to know how to handle that)?

I've added the Ant miner U1 since I got it yesterday and it gives me very good results around 3.5GH/s (reported by asteriod on my mac). The room temperature is less than 18oC so this will work with no problems
except that I can only mine SHA-256 based alt coins instead when I'd rather have a good option for both (a scypt ASIC will fill the gap) as well.

Thanks Smiley
158  Economy / Computer hardware / Looking for a Quote on Ant miner U1 USB ASIC on: January 31, 2014, 03:10:57 PM
Hi
I recently got my ant miner U1 yesterday from eBay but I'm looking to see what the cheapest price is on here and to see if I can get a much better price than £50 with free shipping (from China) to the UK or not?

I prefer PayPal for future orders due to being more familiar plus buyer protection is a must for me (BTC doesn't protect me)

Thanks Smiley
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt Asic finally here! Scrypt ASIC / SHA-256 combo miners Pics details on: January 30, 2014, 02:45:45 PM
I'd love to get one of these as I can mine DOGE coins and alt SHA based coins too.Whats the price in GBP plus shipping? How can I be a volunteer tester as I wish to explore this device more.

Is this available to order yet or still in production?Does this come with a mining software client like BFL miners do or can this work with any off the shelf software?

I wish I could be an early adopter Smiley
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / WTB DOGEcoins with PayPal or Pingit on: January 25, 2014, 10:56:06 PM
Hi
Since I'm looking to expand my collection of DOGE,I thought that I'd buy as many DOGE that I can get for £30 GBP via PayPal. I have good feedback on here and have never scammed anyone. Also my PayPal account is verified (to my knowledge)

Would like an escrow unless seller sends first (don't worry I don't like to cause grief so will pay asap once it arrives in my client)

Thanks Smiley
