1021  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donate widget for wordpress blog on: December 12, 2011, 06:25:58 PM
Update:The how to use link is now added underneath the QR code as that link contains the BTC address as well as QR code linking to http://lovebitcoins.org/ when clicked on and a blog post was made here http://film2240.wordpress.com/2011/12/12/featuredonate-via-qr-code/ outlining the change on the blog and how to use the feature basically.

If everything works out nicely for most users, then can my blog be added to the BTC accepting sites.I need people to test that the information is clear and easy to understand and that clicking the code sends you to this site http://lovebitcoins.org/ as intended thanks.

As for that how to use thing below it,I cant seem to make wordpress turn that into a link for some reason as that's plain text (that's embedded in the caption and captions aren't allowed to be text in wordpress.com blogs I think) that has to be copied into the address bar or just select and drag (or open new link after right clicking in your web browser).

I hope this makes life easier for people. Now if only the main payment processors (Paypal,banks,e.t.c) would make it this easy for other to donate :-)

1022  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donate widget for wordpress blog on: December 12, 2011, 05:57:48 PM
Update:The  guide has been added and embedded to the QR code so that when you hover over it,a caption tells the user to click on it to access the http://lovebitcoins.org/ link to read more about Bitcoins and guide the user.

I forgot to say thanks for the donation in my last post.Sorry about that.

The raw bitcoin address will be added alongside the QR code so that everyone has access to it.This should be done fairly soon.
1023  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donate widget for wordpress blog on: December 12, 2011, 05:51:07 PM
Thanks for the quick reponse guys.I'll be adding an explanation for users unfamiliar to bitcoins as I feel it is high time this idea got more acceptance.Once I sort out the explanation with the link provided,I'll then be able to sort out the other issues that remain.

Thanks for the very helpful and quick responses guys :-)
1024  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin donate widget for wordpress blog on: December 12, 2011, 05:05:36 PM
garyrowe, this solution you've created is very easy to setup and I have now added it to my blog.
The blog is:www.film2240.wordpress.com

It's being used for the donate feature (as I dislike paperwork and traceable money issues).I need a few volunteers to test that this works for me.The donate cost is set at 0.5BTC for testing purposes.I'm not sure if that 0.5BTC tells the client to automatically donate 0.5BTC or if it lets you insert the BTC address manually and then able to donate what you wish rather than the set figure. If this works fine,I'd like my blog to be added to the list of websites that accepts BTC as I feel I can do my part to make BTC more widely adopted as well as more valuable (and therefore profitable)

It's a QR code,so you'll need your phones for this one.

Thank you.:-)
1025  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoinbounties.org - collect bounties! on: December 04, 2011, 11:18:02 PM
Service works like a charm so far under the demo account.

Currently running a test with a test project on there.I can't say more until it's finished.
1026  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin donate widget for wordpress blog on: December 04, 2011, 11:12:08 PM
Hi,
I'm just wondering if it's possible for someone to create a widget that I can add to my blog that'll let me accept bitcoins more easily to help support the BTC? If someone's already developed it,can they please link to it with setup instructions for a wordpress.com based blog as wordpress.org based blogs are self hosted whereas my blog:www.film2240.wordpress.com is hosted on wordpress own servers (not my own) and may have restrictions on what code can be run or which widgets can be installed.I'm really not sure so thats why I'm asking.

Thank you

Closed the books on November last night, and once again we had our best month yet!

Production (in BTC)                                      315.11
Operating Expenses (in BTC)                           90.50
Free BTC available to shareholders                  224.61

The dividend payment for November will be sent out to shareholders of record no later than midnight tonight, EST.

Our goal for December is to produce 350 BTC.

Our existing expansion plan is nearing an end.  We are around 90% of what is possible, and we will probably be unable to make it to our initial goal of 15 GH/s.  However, it does seem likely that we can top out around 14 GH/s.

During the month of November, our major upgrade was swapping out 5x 5770's for 5850's.  We were able to aquire the 5850's for a very competitive price, and will spread the expense of those cards over the next 6 months of financials.

If you are in the market for some lightly used 5770's, let us know!

We added one shareholder during the month, and are glad to have them on board.  Please contact us if you would like to become a shareholder as well.

Hi,
Just saw your post.I'm just looking around for the best price on an HD5770 GPU.I'm just interested in how much these will sell for from you compared to say other online shops. The reason I ask is if I need a spare GPU in future (to complement my HD6950) or as a fallback GPU (because the current PSU in my system can't cope with my HD6950 being so heavily OC'd and shuts itself down/freezes when overloaded. If I can find a good price on an HD5770,used I can continue mining until I make enough for a new PSU as a good PSU costs over £150 in UK=~$280 I think)

What would you be selling those HD5770 cards for? How much would they be in UK £ sterling plus shipping to UK (if from US/overseas)?

What performance can I expect from this GPU (HD5770) and what is the best OC that could be achieved in your experience without crashing? my HD6950 gets me 402 M/hashes (anything above that and PSU freezes my PC due to overloading)

Thank you

I would like to be an investor in this company. How many shares left and at what price?
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN ON CNBC!!! on: November 23, 2011, 07:07:50 PM
I hope to see BTC rise in value quite quickly however people may tend to have negative impressions of BTC after the scandals. It's going to take time to recover from that.I do hope more positive articles like this come up.Is there a site where I can invest in stocks/shares with BTC,and then cashout with BTC?
1030  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin miner for Android? on: October 29, 2011, 09:08:36 PM
Check out 'ARM' section of this site, Motorola devices for example are running on ARM processors (as are many others)

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

there is limited stats there but Nokia N900  running on ARM for example is getting less than 0.36 Mhash per Joule, which is not at all efficient, let alone cost effective (yes, I know, it's not android).

Speaking of mining on an N900,can somebody please provide me a download link to the mining program for the N900 phone along with setup instructions please as I really want to gte it started asap now for my experiments.Even if it's CPU only,I want the link to it.While I'm on the subject can someone please build a GPU miner on that phone and also an overclocking tool for N900s GPU.Thinsg for people to know:I know that overclocking is risky to the N900,I know that mining is probably worthless on N900.All I care about is that I can carry out my experiments involving multiple devices form multiple platforms in addition to my 2 computers.

Thank you
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am the The Manipulator. on: October 29, 2011, 06:37:48 PM
Are you really the manipulator? If so can you make the value of BTC go up as well as down?
I wonder what the prediction is for BTC value by the end of this year (I guess that only you will really 'know')? How do you manage to control a micro-economy? Hacking skills? Positive publicity?

I wish I can help things along in the BTC economy as well like you (but I'm just a filmmaker).
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more bailout and the trend will reverse for good? on: October 14, 2011, 07:33:39 PM
I've got some news that may or may not help with pushing the values up.There is a film I making that is partly funded by BTC.The film will be finished sometime in Q1 2012.I can't mention anymore than that yet (the film will still be made regardless of BTC situation though but the fact that it is partly funded by BTC should encourage the value to go up).

I think getting the word out now might help things:There is a film in progress that is partly funded by bitcoins that have been mined by his computers.

How do you like it guys? Good idea or not so helpful?

I don't think it'll do anything at all to the market value of BTC, unless it's starring some huge actor. Otherwise it'll just be talked about in the echo chamber of the Bitcointalk forums.

Now, if you had Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on E! Hollywood Tonight talking about getting a paycheck in BTC... well, that'd be different.

Thanks for the helpful feedback hotdog :-)
I guess only big films with big actors being paid in BTC will really help the BTC economy.I do think that my film will be (very) briefly mentioned as being funded by BTC but as there are no actors as such,it probably won't affect the BTC value much.

1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Breakout to the Upside Imminent on: October 13, 2011, 11:38:11 PM
To add to the news, one of the films I'm involved in making is partly funded by BTC.I can't say too much at the moment but having an actual film funded by BTC will definatley help things.

How can you bailout BTC currency?

I'm interested in hearing more.

Just have a look at yesterday's charts.

Can you provide a link to the charts please?
1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more bailout and the trend will reverse for good? on: October 13, 2011, 09:21:30 AM
So you reckon the value of BTC on MtGox exchange is going up while all other exchanges are pressing down? Interesting.I would really like the value to rise again soon.If MtGox was to decide that BTC was worth $12 instead of ~$4 for example, then all the other exchanges would have to follow suit.

How can you bailout BTC currency?

I'm interested in hearing more.

I'm getting this error when solo mining:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

can someone upload the right settings file,or upload right settings for me to put into a file? Does solo mining use GPU or CPU?If CPU how long with 10MHash/s to get a block? And how many SC do I get per block?

Thank you

I am a little curious about this currency? Why have you opted to make it GPU 'hostile'? What do you mean by this? I'm a little lost as I'm used to mining with GPU for everything else. Can GPU mining work but with limitations or is it all blocked from GPU? How can Tenebrix tell if CPU/APU/GPU/FPGA is used to mine it rather than being CPU mined like intended? Theoretically some guy can just point his GPU to a named worker set to mine this currency?

LOL. Read up mate. The algo is scrypt shit. Cannot be accelerated on GPUs. Only Linux 64 bit AMD plastic shit CPUs. No love for Intel on Linux 64 or even Windblows.

Ok thanks.I don't get much of a chance to go on these forums much anymore due to constant work I have to do elsewhere so I can't really read up on much these days. Most of us have jobs including me and sometimes those jobs can get in the way of having a social life (I know,it's annoying but that's life I guess)

Anyways thank you for giving me an idea of why GPUs will be useless with mining this currency.Motto is if you want to mine with GPU,look elsewhere.

I think it probably has something to do with our spokesman being revealed as a fraudster? Just my 2c

Can I see a link to this please? As it would be shocking if true.
Thank you
