861  Economy / Economics / Re: US planning a "Falseflag" attack on Iran? on: February 12, 2012, 12:18:34 AM
Let's see here, they've already led 1) mass uprisings, 2) use drones in Iran airspace, 3) send American/Israeli "backpackers" into Iran, 4) launch computer viruses to attack their energy infrastructure, 5) assassinated their scientists, 6) assassinated leaders of their military in foreign countries, 7) place carrier battle groups off their shores for years.  Which one of these sounds like a false flag to you?

I'd say everything except the 1st one. It's just how I see it (doesn't mean it's true or false though)
862  Economy / Economics / Re: UK local authorities issueing own currencies on: February 12, 2012, 12:13:38 AM
I've heard of a few towns in UK as well using their own adopted currency (which has parity to UK GBP but only useful in their locations). I think they got this idea from us (sort of). They tend to 'encourage' the local economy to be ready (thrive) for a time when things nationally become more difficult.

I think it's a step in the right direction (or is it I ask?) because they seem determined to standout from the rest (possibly)

I don't know too much about the idea or the names of the towns that started to use it.All currencies I think should be backed by something for them to guarantee their survival (even the price of a commodity is better than nothing,if precious metals or scrap metals are not used in their valuation)

I wonder what it takes to start your own (real-world) currency (as creating a P2P virtual currency is too complex and the last time I proposed it on here months ago, people here were not happy. It's not reasonable to expect everyone to be able to code.)?

Also something to add to this thread:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8245276.stm

No money? Then print your own article.

We all wish that we could become rich by printing our own currency (I know I do) but as we all know,it's not as simple as that.
863  Other / Meta / Re: Details of Satoshi's forum activity unavailable? on: February 11, 2012, 11:56:08 PM
The profile of Satoshi reveals that no posts in theactivity on here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=statPanel

This must have happened a longtime ago (not recently) as there are no posts in the history. The above shows that Theymos is right.Click the link and see.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet recovery (contains over 250 BTC), reward offered on: February 11, 2012, 11:53:01 PM

865  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: 12.1 release (not preview) CPU usage DOWN on: February 09, 2012, 12:18:31 AM
Does this improve MHash performance on my HD6950 GPU without the CPU usage bug? If so what kind of boost should I expect to see? Thanks.
866  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - updated Aug 24 with new miner versions on: February 07, 2012, 07:54:53 PM
Link is not working for me.
867  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - updated Aug 24 with new miner versions on: February 07, 2012, 07:05:20 PM
I'm recently affected by a problem with the GUIMiner app with the polcm (I think). It keeps saying 'connection problems' from time to time. What could be causing this issue as I heard that recently it was something done to my pool that triggered it.I need a patch or something to make my miner work again or find me an alternative miner (that still works with GUIMiner) that will work?

Thanks
868  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: further improved phatk_dia kernel for Phoenix + SDK 2.6 - 2012-01-13 on: February 07, 2012, 06:50:42 PM
Can someone tell me which aggression setting gives me the absolute best performance with my HD6950 (Heavily OC'd with unlocked shaders) please as I can't seem to find it in this thread or anywhere? I also want a list of flags for this miner (running in GUIMiner with Phoneix as polcm kept having issues lately)

thanks

870  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BITLC] Change of payment scheme for Bitlc.net (Previously bitcoins.lc) on: February 07, 2012, 06:21:00 PM
Stay with proportional please as none of the systems seemed right for me (I tried) plus the other systems seem to give me a lot less for the same efforts so please stay with proportional.

872  Economy / Services / Re: Need Artwork for nextpublish.com on: February 07, 2012, 12:56:09 AM
What are you paying for the artworks contributed to your site/eBooks? I'd be interested if this is a paying job (and not for peanuts either)
873  Economy / Services / Re: I will do anything for bitcoins on: February 07, 2012, 12:54:39 AM
Check out my thread below this one. I am creating a trivia game, and need questions. I am awarding 0.0005BTC per question. (5btc/1000questions)

I'd like to test out this idea by answering the questions and seeing that the payment works.Add me as a beta tester if possible.
874  Economy / Services / Re: Cam Shows on: February 07, 2012, 12:53:29 AM
The amount of picture in this topic lead me to think it is fairly spammy/inappropriate - perhaps create a dropbox or other online album and link to it.

Also I think the forum should probably have an adult content section for this stuff

I agree with you on the adult section idea.I think the last thing we need is having general areas being cluttered up with these types of posts.not everyone on here is 18+ so we got to think of those who just aren't old enough for that stuff.
875  Economy / Services / Re: [FIND] Graphic designer for 6/8 psd file on: February 07, 2012, 12:48:38 AM
What theme do you have in mind? What do you plan on paying? It's fine if that's negotiable based on the results.Whats the company about? I'd like to express an interest.I tend to do more of photos and converting them into artworks which can then be used or by adding a few of my own touches to them.

I hope I can be of some help though.
876  Economy / Services / Re: Ad space in my Sig!! Cheapest rate, guaranteed. on: February 07, 2012, 12:45:13 AM
I wonder how much having over 420+ posts on here is worth in Ad space for my sig? As I wish to sell as well.
877  Economy / Goods / Re: [ WTS ] Amazon Gift cards. 20% discount - you pay 80% of the card value. on: February 07, 2012, 12:39:57 AM
can you do this in Amazon.co.uk vouchers as I require Amazon GBP giftcards? If you don't sell them, can you please point me to a seller who does who doesn't rip people off (or scam them)?
Thanks
878  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Bitcoin press hits, notable sources on: February 07, 2012, 12:11:17 AM
Oh no, not again, Roll Eyes
The BBC covers the boogie man that is the mythical "Dark Net".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16801382

quote:
An extra layer of secrecy is added to the dark web by the use of Bitcoins - an electronic currency which is used legitimately by online gamers, but which can be used by criminals to mask their financial transactions.

Just read that article. The association of BTC with 'dark net' isn't exactly helping things.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin MP3 List on: February 07, 2012, 12:05:36 AM
I've managed to convert this and host it,so here it is: https://rapidshare.com/files/2226676450/bitcoin_interview_on_more_than_100_radio_stations_across_the.mp3

If you like my efforts, feel free to tip me (in my sig),thanks. :-)

P.S.sorry it's a rapidshare link but my blog doesn't let me host it (I planned to use this to make these links immune to takedown)
