My point is more about the centralized launch of Dash and how that relates to voting...
With 1850 MNs in the hands of a handful of people, then you add in the 40-50% MN mining share, plus I assume some of them kept mining the whole time...
The first 24 hours alone accounts for 58% of the votes (not counting any accumulation from MNs)... how is that not centralized?
Because your assumption is simply incorrect, you want to jump from the first day launch to today like there was no trading over the last 2 years and two rallies in which Dash went all the way up to 15 USD and 6 USD respectively and millions in volume traded. I have never mined anything other than BTC with butterfly labs ASICS in which I lost money. So all the nodes I owned I acquired from the market, so I know first hand distribution is healthy. You can read more details on this here: https://dashdot.io/alpha/?page_id=118And the official statement on the launch issues here: https://dashtalk.org/threads/official-dash-instamine-issue-clarification.7569/#post-78081Beyond that, I think the project current state clearly shows we are making progress so is a personal decision each person needs to take whether they want to be involved or not. ^^ I bought some Dash for almost nothing in february / 2014. Yes, the distribution happened, I was there.

I am Gary from the Moneta Project, who presented at your meetup group about a year ago. We are happy to announce that we have finally launched the world's first testnet for the Zerocoin cryptocurrency. We would like to invite experienced C++ developers, graphic designers, and website developers to contact us at info@moneta.cash about possibly joining our team. There would be Zerocoin awarded for those that we end up taking onto the Moneta team.
Also, we would like to invite anyone interested in privacy and Zerocoin technology to participate in the testnet at http://moneta.cash, and to join our Slack group at http://moneta.cash:3000/. Yo voy a seguir el tema a ver que se cuece por ahí. Me he apuntado al slack, etc.

So many people are touting "Blockchain Technology" but I wonder how they secure it? In house? I just don't understand who is mining the coins, how is it leveraged so that it's trustless. They have to understand that part, thus they must have a way to do it. Does anyone know how they're doing it? http://www.coindesk.com/chain-issues-investor-shares-nasdaq-linq/What do you mean exactly? Well, bitcoin secures the blockchain with mining. Everyone competes for the right to check and add entries into the blockchain ledger and earn a reward, and the others check it. As long as nobody has the ability to predict that they will win the block a couple of times in a row or so, they shouldn't be able to double spend or insert things that don't belong in the chain. Otherwise it's just a ledger. In Dash Evo, it will pretty much only be a competition to earn the reward and do the duty of entering transactions into the blockchain, no checking, no choosing (I believe). The entries will be checked and locked by a quorum of Masternodes. If the miner doesn't do what they say, it gets rejected. Why does this work? Because the MNs are chosen randomly and the quorum members check against each other. So, sure, Solarminer, you could use something, a number, whatever in a newspaper to choose something like quorums, but the question is, where do you get the wide ranging, widely owned MNs or whatever you want to call them, to secure the ledger? You need a wide ranging network with many self interested parties to make this work. How does a bank get that? That's the question we are all wondering now regarding the new "Blockchain fever" in the economic media. My guess is, they don't have a clue what they are talking about. Blockchain for the banking system? I want to see how that happen.

Please stop talking or quoting the trolls. You are helping to make this thread unreadable. tnks, You'll realize I am right when their sham coin gets to zero. Check everything I say, it's all true. Have a nice day. I know What I say is that you have dozens of threads in the alt section (initiated by Monero people) to compare the two coins. You can talk there. best,

Do you know how much are earning the tech workers in the blockchain industry? Do you imagine how much Evan can earn a day just working wherever he wants? You a naive child, probably living in the basement of your parents. Please stop the childish trolling.
