Y les he respondido

Hola XXXX,

Damn - I talked my wife into living in a motorhome for a couple years while we saved to buy the house we now own.  How the hell can I convince her to do this?.....

I put my girl in charge of trading, that got her hooked and believe it or not, she's moving into the warehouse with me, she's in just as deep as I am... She's learning to ride the scam waves to buy us more DRK...

We move next week, even running half NIST5 and half x11 the farm is gonna be a wee bit noisy for us to live next to, so right now I'm working out how to get the farm happy with fans on 20% without losing too much performance.

Make sure to diversify. My crypto portfolio is 60% DRK and 40% VRC, XC, CLOAK, SUPER, CINNI, SFR, and XGR.

“Wide diversification is only required when investors do not understand what they are doing.”

So I got few questions...

Is this update something that was suppose to be live 1 month ago in development schedule? Then again on June 20? Both times failed miserably... and now there is some hope?

What's the big issue about masternode payments anyway? I see two outcomes:

1. People expecting huge returns will get disappointed. After initial testing hype the number of darksend transactions will fall, while the number of masternodes will greatly increase.
2. More inflation due to masternode payments. More dark = cheaper dark.

This is a circlejerk 'to-the-moon' thread so I do not expect a quality reply but maybe someone will surprise me  Grin

do you like money? sell DRK buy VRC then sell VRC buy DRK...

Very good idea buying a P&D coin on ATH. You like throwing BTC out of a wide open window ?
not dangerous at all if you research Vericoin.

So what's special about it?

Dude, no one gives a fuck around here. Is it that hard to type "Vericoin" into the search box and hit enter?

"So what's special about it?": 27 key strokes + waiting for someone to give you an answer that could be wrong
"Vericoin" + enter: 9 key strokes + instant knowledge

When will people learn to do their own research again? The Internet makes researching so easy and yet people have become the laziest they've ever been.

1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: June 05, 2014, 06:23:48 PM
At this time, isn't price is about what the whales happen to decide to do with their money more than anything? If DRK makes it long term, then sure, it will be worth a lot. But that still seems kind of like a hefty "if" to me, and short-term, all bets are off as well because the P&Ds make it very difficult to know what will happen to price (unless you're one of them lol).

That's why I said gauge what the largest stakeholders are doing with their money by looking at the top wallets (exclude exchanges). They clearly have a lot more at stake than the smaller coinholders and if they still see value in adding, there must be some sort of reason behind the madness.

I don't disagree that price is at least being manipulated to an extent, especially with the low volume dumps, but it's hard for me to decide to part with anything substantial being that the book just isn't there with available orders (that leaves me feeling uncomfortable buying back what I'd sell without price moving substantially to the upside).

I think you make a very significant point, and I agree. So far the big holders, are well, holding. That's a good sign, enough for me to hold too. That being said I'm a bit divided about it, I certainly have no great confidence. Yes, they seem to be holding FOR NOW. I don't really think they are religious about it or anything, if they see the right indicators or lose confidence for some reason, they will dump. And if they did.....

You can sit around waiting for ever on absolute certainty. Darkcoin is far and away the best on the scene right now, in a multitude of different ways, so I back it, particularly as there is currently zero credible competition.

I would hedge if there was anything promising to hedge with, but for the forseeable future there are exactly two cryptocurrencies of any worth, BTC for public/don't care transactions, and DRK for privacy. Everything else is pointless.

I really don't care about the price day to day, I'm thinking 6 months+

You didn't used to go by a different nick, beginning with a K by any chance? Cheesy Because that guy made a total arse out of himself...

+1, a lot of big drk holders are holding for the longterm, 6+ months from now, including myself.

+1

As a "big holder" I am also long term.
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][0.8.6] Hirocoin - X11 - NGW - Secured Blockchain - Time Warp Limitation on: June 05, 2014, 05:51:14 PM
I just heard in darkcoin thread that main developer of Hirocoin is working in the future development of Darkcoin. It was just confirmed by Evan (main dev. of Darkcoin)
How this will affect Hirocoin? Can we share code between currencies? There will be some common marketing or partnership relationship?

If the answer it's a yes, I think this will be great news for Hirocoin. Darkcoin is the most innovative currency out there, not only related to anonymity. And main developer of Hirocoin is one of the good ones of the scene.

I think Hirocoin can be the future silver of Darkcoin gold  Grin

This is a quote from Hiro's most recent post:

"Right now I am helping Evan Duffield on Darkcoin. We are putting in a solution to secure the blockchain against attacks. It is only going to be a matter of time before X11 coins get the sort of attacks that are common on Scrypt. Hirocoin is secure and we are making sure that Darkcoin is also going to be secure. Once I have finished working on Darkcoin I will be back and plan to implement a in client block explorer. Sounds like a sensible thing to have."

It doesn't sound like there are any plans to share code between currencies from what Hiro wrote. I think people are concerned that while Hirocoin is falling to an all time low, the Hirocoin's main developer is off working on another coin that recently experienced its all time high.

Since Joerii is ignoring my questions from prior posts, I'll state them here again for him and the rest of the Hiro community. We've begrudgingly done things your way for the last few months and the coin has done nothing but suffer. It is weaker and less popular than it has ever been and this is after doing things YOUR way. Isn't it time to let the community decide what is best for the future of hiro or is this coin going to be your legacy as it falls below 100 sat?

You're supposed to be Hirocoin's lead strategy guy. Is what's happening actually a part of your long term strategy, and if so, can you lay our your plan again so we can see when some reprieve is in sight? When people first started to panic, you told us to relax - the coin is too new and people have short-attention spans. You said some new backend features and the new logo will spark things up. They didn't. Then when people panicked again, you said things will be better in the summer as everyone will move from scrypt coins and look for an ideal energy saving coin. Well, it's very warm now and things are worse than before. Then people suggested we change the coin's specs to make the coin more attractive, and you said it's against your ethics to do that. And now, the current price. You may have had a few people follow your ways, but you've probably lost a whole lot more of the community, both miners and investors, because of your 'strategy.' I'm sorry to be calling you out like this man, but this has gone on far enough. You've been the boat captain of this community all this time, the crew is telling you the ship is sinking, yet you continue to tell us, "sail on, my brothers, stay the course!"

Where is the shame in admitting that your way, while valiant, was not right for this coin? As long as you are willing to work with the rest of the community to reset this coin and make it more attractive for current and new miners/investors, I'm sure everyone will overlook the past and focus on moving forward. No more videos, no more design contests, no more focusing dev efforts on another coin or on features that bring no excitement and verve to this coin - can't we all work together, vote on what we want this coin to be, and let the majority decide Hiro's roadmap?

+1

Nice words, I agree completely

We have one of the best developers of the crypto scene, c'mon he is helping Evan to improve Darkcoin! (best alt ever IMHO)
Hiro must succeed!
