Hi guys,
I've put off commenting here seeking for help until I had tried troubleshooting the problem myself. I've been trying to find out what's wrong with my setup for a few days now but have had no luck.
I've been having trouble setting up my Antminer S1. I've followed the tutorial posted here but still nothing.
I'll provide as much information that I think is relevant in the hopes that someone can help me.
I have 1 miner which is being powered by a 'PowerCool X-Viper 450W 80+' which I purchased from eBuyer. The miner is hooked up to one cable with an 8pin plugged into the PSU which splits off into two 6 pin cables which are plugged into the miner. After plugging everything in and following the tutorial I switch on the PSU, the fan starts up (it's pretty loud), but no lights come on as the tutorial says should.
The network cable runs to my switch box (two cables are connected to the switch, 1 to the miner and 1 to my PC) an additional cable then runs from the switch, downstairs to my living room where my broadband router is. I've tried multiple network cables and still nothing happens so it's not a faulty cable problem.
When I follow the network setup instruction provided in the tutorial I lose internet access and I cannot connect to my miner. My miner address is 192.169.1.99 if that's any help.
If anyone needs any additional information to try and help me I'd be more than happy to provide it.
Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
Have you tried changing to a different power supply? I mean for it to have no lights I would be guessing that the thing is not completely turned on hence you can not access it also try doing a factory reset on it by pressing the very tiny little button on the board that has the Ethernet connection This happened to me no lights, fan came on instantly when turned on, was able to connect to it, set it up, pools said alive but hash rate was zero! I had someone help me ( this person has a mining farm) He confirmed for me s1 was faulty, I contacted Bitmain they asked me to disassemble miner and send back parts, I complied sent back two hashing boards one controller board and voluntarily sent the connecting ribbons. Two weeks later received s1 back only to find they've sent back my old hashing boards and controller complete with thermal paste minus connecting ribbons ( 2 8pin and 1 4pin ). You can guess how I feel right now.

Its not easy maintain website with high security. Many of our clients (clients of crycurex.com) were mad about our "manual" deposits and withdrawals,...therefore lot of them migrated to cryptorush and other exchanges, but as you can see we did right thing, and now we have to pay for it because we have lack of users ...but unfortunately those, who migrated away from our exchange have to pay for "migration" by loosing their coins. "Manual" deposits and withdrawals were here for some reason. Reason was not to lost your coins. Since we launched our site, we added lot of new security measures to help protoect your coins. Reputation of other "alive" exchanges including crycurex is very low, you users, miners, traders think that all of us are just noobs who tries to run exchange, but I hope me and our team will show you in next weeks, months that our safety is one of the highest as we promised on 21st January 2014 when crycurex has been launched. I didn't even know about you guys, i added you to my website. http://www.cryptoshub.com/x-change.htmlVoting for coins, that donation of 0.2 BTC has to GO, it's not about how much 1 BTC costs USD, is about how long it takes to mine .20, that is if you want customers and traffic on your exchange, so just have a simple Voting system of 5 per person hourly, daytraders 10 Votes hourly, cause that is not going to work in your favor, just my opinion. Hi there, thanks for adding Well we had voting in past, but I added coyine coin, mrc coin, crn coin, there was more problems than positives. Coynie - legal problems, wallet synch problems, developers did not pay promised bounty, and did not communicate when there was problem with their wallet - it was horror Mrc - developers did not communicate Crn - developers did not communicate, wallet problems, low volume So we removed all markets and started all over again, those who deposited coynie, mrc, crn, still have balances and may withdraw anytime. I decided to ask 0.2 Btc for adding coin, because: - We check code of every wallet from any potential "bad things" - If developer takes his coin seriously, I think there is no problem pay 0.2 Btc...for now we are very small exchange, so noone wants to pay but when we grow ... everyone would be want to be listed In next days ... I will add some coins for free, most probably it would be coins with high trading volume on cryptsy. If you add coins that are traded on high volume, it does not necessarily mean your exchange will have the same volume, unless the gap between the same coin on ur exch is high compared to other exch's trading the same coin, so you would have a few looking to swap those extra pennies trough arbitrage. What you need IMO is to trade coins that other exchanges do not have, you need to attract others and be unique. Gaycoin, Lioncoin, BitPeso, AmKoin, NewYorkcoin, Brasilcoin, Ripple, Picoin that is what you need to look into, Cryptoeagle, Blackoin, Mazacoin, Potcoin, Dopecoin, Pesetacoin, Polcoin, Mintcoin. Saturncoin, high volume. Think about Platinum Coin. This coins got a cool wallet, lots of potential was starting to get volume on CR before it shut down

Seems like all these scam exchanges just followed the mt gox scandal and mimmicked their actions move-for-move. Gox, Coinex, Cryptorush...list goes on and on. (well at least with coinex they went back up and refunded). And now the infamous 'maintenance mode' splash page.
Sound familiar?
Yep, I have 2 btc at this POS that are as good as gone, because even though it showed it in my balances, I'd have to exchange it for another shitcoin, which are all priced around 50% higher than market. So in essence I'd lose half my stack right off the bat.
Good game, craptorush. Good game.

I know I already asked this before but I didn't have a chance to investigate further. I am trying to get my old wallet (xcoin) to sync so I can transfer my balance to new DarkCoin wallet
all you *should* have to do is drop your old wallet.dat file into the new Darkcoin wallet's .darkcoin folder (normally hidden in /home file in Ubuntu) or it's the darkcoin folder in /User/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/darkcoin in windows Vista, 7 and 8 *remove the old (newer) wallet.dat file first, don't merge. Just in case.* If that doesn't work, something might be wrong with your old xcoin wallet.dat (which should be completely interchangeable with a darkcoind wallet.dat) Interchangeable?

Klondike bar my power source is antec earthwatts 650w I bought used....mabye its the problem and is it my router up default gateway to put in the default gateway for the miner or is it the router ip?
the green led's don't light up either ,sometimes if I disconnect the controller the led on right side board if looking at fan directly will light up? ok - so your network IS 192.168.2.1 thats good - did you clear the ipv4broadcast box and leave it blank? your PSU could be an issue if the PCIe cables both run on the same 38A rail (there are 2 38A rails) - but it seems like there are a few ae-650W devices in various configurations of rails and efficiencies (1 type actually has 3 12V rails) unplug power to the secondary blade and disconnect the data cable from the blade also (so that your unit is only going to run with one blade) and try booting up like that. I dont think its the issue, since power problems typically show up once the unit is hashing but is either rebooting randomly or hashing slowly. just bought a new 850w psu same thing, why is there no lan connection in the ipconfig? tried the one blade also

an avalon a few months back. Your issue is definitely with the network or network settings, and not the actual function of the miner (other than settings) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416940.40post your network settings and if DHCP is disabled. It seems certainly a network settings issue and not with the pool settings [/img] [/img] heres what i would try in his order: 1) clear the 'ipv4 broadcast' box. sometimes it works, but i have always cleared it on every antminer of mine and its worked on multiple networks fault-free 2) remove the 'stratum+tcp'. your pool address can start with 'pool.' and work just fine. probably not your issue, but a way to simplify the pool info 3) double-check that your router ip is actually 192.168.2.1 - just in case it is a 192.168.1.1 since that would cause big issues 4) reboot. looking at your stats page, im trying to recall whether it will show chip stats if not hashing, or if your chips perhaps are not hashing. whats your power supply? seems unlikely but some units under a 600W rating do not work well for antminers [/img] [/img]
