Awaiting reply from dev for other half of payment for the website Sad

 I wouldnt hold my breath on that one, this coin is a total scam, whenevewr someone posts about wanting answers, 5 sock puppet accounts come in saying coin is going up, READ A FEW PAGES PEOPLE

 i still have over a million NAV, and dont even care about price anymore, its only going to go DOWN until devs prove there not SCAMMERS by showing the delayed ANON FEATURES

Eastbay, Could you show a screenshot of your wallet with more than a million coins?

I could show a screen of bittrex.com account, I want withdraw since dev did double spend attack

Ok, I would like to see this screenshot.
Thanks.

Will do as soon as I get back from lunch, I'll show proof, but devs wont, SCAM!

I feel that you have good intentions, warn the crypto world of this supposed scam.  Good principle, horrible method of delivery !! Anyone actually trying to find out about this coin is probably not taking your posts as you would like them too.

you have suggested a few times that people read a few pages back so they can see your point, see the scam......  I assume you had done the same before you looked at investing in navajo a few days ago, but did you happen to scroll any further back than 3 pages Huh

I've been reading this thread (and the ones before this) for well over a 100 pages.  I would suggest you do the same so you can get a better idea of who soopy is and how we got here... I almost guarantee that your mood will change.  I always do this when looking into a new coin/investment.

you say a simple picture will set your mind at ease and prove that this is not a scam, heck anyone with photoshop and a spare 30 minutes could set your mind at ease then...  what will a screenshot actually prove to you ?

Since you are apparently a very large investor (I wish I had as many coins as you did).  Please read through the sumv2/navajo threads in their entirety.  If you still feel the same way about Navajo after that... I don't know what would convince you.

Great idea!
Yes and there are quite a few hemp companies out there. Have we funds available to give away? I'm a marketing man so don't know the ins and outs of wallets but we have a head start over a lot of other coins as our coin bears the name and is concerned in the target product.
A company I buy from http://thtc.co.uk/ is a forward thinking company with quite an alternative customer base. Hey they might even be able to design and sell Hempcoin t-shirts. I am a bit busy this week but if we can expand this idea further I will formulate a letter encapsulating the idea to them.

I made a nice sac of BTC off of investing in a different alt coin so I could donate 0.05 BTC and 20,000 THC to anyone who wants to try and do some marketing with the funds.

I will also donate some coins as I have been mining a lot of them lately ( also because I don't really have the time nor skillset to help out any other way :-).

I would match all donations up to a max of 100,000 THC.... if there is a lot of interest from the community, I might just increase my max donation.

Looks like coin is dead. So sad..

coins don't die, they just go dormant waiting to be revived.

If someone was to take over this coin, I would donate half of the coins I mined ( 20,000,000 ) to them.

We need POS implemented and somehow get put back on an exchange...

I know, its essentially working for 20 million zero's... but if you were to make something of it, dem zeros could turn into sat's.
anyone else out there holding a good chunk of coins that are willing to add to this pot.

Any takers ?

I'd definitely contribute as well. And we are the closest to getting put back on an exchange on comkort.com. I recommend anyone interested in GenesisCoin continue to vote there.

wow, I really thought I would have to wait days for a reply.... Thanks, you have enlightened the little hope I had for this. i cant figure out how many coins are currently in circulation (getinfo doesnt show me for some reason).  i would like to keep an updated coin count and percentage for the take-over bounty just to show how much they are actually getting.

I had found a block explorer with a richlist a while ago, but unfortunately I did not bookmark it.  I am pretty sure it was not the poolerino one linked on the OP.

does anyone know where it is or have it bookmarked ?

well after lots of searching still cant find the top 100 list... oh well, but I did figure out the total current coin supply is about 2.3 billion.

so, with my 20,000,000 plus QuadraQ's contribution, we must be at least at a 1% total coin supply for bounty... that must be appealing to someone out there.

why start a new crap coin when you can take one over... Cheesy

Just a few thoughts from a marketing perspective..
The leaf I think is quite important. We need to look at our target audience.
I would say they are mainly liberal people who "might" have smoked pot previously but are definitely not staunch conservative types who might be turned off by any idea out of the norm. The leaf is the hemp leaf primarily and we need to invite them to the fact that there is so much more to the leaf than just smokable material. Hiding ourselves from this fact would be so much more detrimental in the long run.
Many mainstream hemp businesses use the leaf in their advertising and I am sure if it was a problem then that would not be the case. After all they will have done the market research and concluded its presence is justified.
Perhaps we could get more of an idea from our community before just ridding ourselves of the leaf from our coin.
I do like the leaf on apparel and wear it with pride on my hemp t-shirts, albeit not emblazoned across the front Bob Marley style. It gives me pride and is also commented on by a few which sparks conversation into the subject. Yes interest is what we are after
And yes I do like the above designs, well done.

I sse what your saying and would have to agree with you.  Maybe if we met half way.... I also really like the latest logo, but what if we were to have the leaf in the background behind the logo somehow... ?  jsut so the leaf is there to show we are proud of it, but just so its not the first thing you see when you look at the logo.  I am not a graphic designer here at all, just throwing out an idea.

I also had another idea recently about a way to get the hempcoin name out there.  With the fluctuating price in hemp and the relatively low interest/volume in the coin/market, I would see it as being very hard to get any companies/websites to accept hempcoin as payment.  And really, with any of the altcoins out there that is accepted somewhere.... is it really being used as payment, or just an option that never gets used.  I could be wrong, but I dont think much product is being sold for altcoins.

I thought of another way to approach companies/websites and give them a risk free way to get their feet wet in the crypto world.

If we were to contact a few well known hemp oriented companies and offer them free advertising on our site/thread, they may want to find out more.... what we could do is advertise their products on the hempcoin page which would include a promotion code.  If you purchase something at the site and use the promo code, you get some free hempcoins....  the purchases would get an email or something with instructions on how to get the coins... this is where the html5 wallet is awesome!!! anyone can create an account and claim their free coins.  Don't need to know anything about cryptos at all, just sign up and claim free coins.

I think this might work well as it would help bring newcomers into the crypto world (newcomers that would fit right into our target market I might add).  This would also be as a first step for the hemp companies to start thinking about the possibility of using hempcoin as a future method of payment.

any thoughts ? positive/negative are both welcome.  Ima big boy, I can take it.

GO HEMP GO !!

news from bittrex? how many blocks got unconfirmed?

I've heard nothing from Bittrex, but I know dev has been working with them to resolve the issue ASAP.  I think it ended up being about 20 hours worth of unconfirmed blocks (1200 blocks).

I can only guess/assume that the market may be offline until Dev releases the new wallet he is working on.  this is only a guess, I actually have no clue.

My suggestion would be to mine hemp while the difficulty is lower as I imagine it should jump up once these issues are resolved.  It would also help against a re-occurrence of this recent event.

The path to success is always along a bumpy road.
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █ ╬ HempCoin (THC)█ Growing Season l Zero Premine l Bonus Block [ANN][THC][PoS] on: July 09, 2014, 07:59:35 PM
I still think scrypt has been a poor choice. All it has done is allowed ASIC's to dump daily to keep the price down (which I guess is good if you are accumulating) and leads to 51% attacks. GPUs can't mine scrypt in the summer. Please remind me what the benefits are?

The dev told me that switching from scrypt is not an option as of today. All the hashes are in scrypt so you can not remove scrypt. The only option that is maybe possible is to become a scrypt & x11 mined coin.

Should we just end the POW and turn this into a POS only coin? Would that stop this difficulty fluctuation problem?

POS only.... hmmmmm, sounds interesting, what does everyone else think about it ?

I have liked mining hemp and would miss it if it was POS only, but ensuring a stable block chain is much more important than my mining preferences.  This is a big change, but we definitely need to find a way to avoid more events like what happened yesterday.  I lost about 75k coins due to this.

another idea... just thinking out loud and not sure if it would even help.

My understanding of the POS in a POW/POS coin is that it should help against attacks like this(was this an attack, who knows, but that's what I am calling it for now) , correct... maybe ?

but it doesn't seem to be helping us out.  I wonder if it is because the maturity period is too long (45 days).  with this long of a maturity period, there is probably a lot less coins actually staking blocks.  Is it possible to lower this time period significantly ? say like all the way down to 8 hours ?  this way there should be a lot more POS blocks getting generated and thus making an attack harder to implement.

I like the significance/reason behind the 45 day maturity time period.... but would not mind changing it if it helps the stability of the block chain.

any thought comments or confirmations that a change like this would actually help or not.

i think this is due to people putting on some big rigs on HempCoin
perhaps even a 51% ?

i think best solution would be to get more distributed mining.
5Mhs can be had for $400 (not a preorder)
14 Mhs are $930 USD

I myself will order the 14 Mhs on the 15th

my 4.5 Mhs running all the time on hemp.

this morning i did REAL SOLOmining Wink

I have rented a nice chunk of hash and have it directed at hemp as well.  The more people we have mining it the more secure the chain will be.  if your upset the market is closed at Bittrex, well then just mine yourself some hemp instead.
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MugatuCoin - Traded on Bittrex Now! - Now With A Market Cap! on: June 27, 2014, 07:43:48 PM
not sure about the dev on this one.... I had high hopes for him and bought a bunch of MUGA a while ago.  luckily I sold most of it as the price was dropping and recovered most of my losses.

I kept some coins just in case it rebounded and still have them...

However, I just frowned as I looked further into this...

We can see that the dev withdrew the development fund coins he purchased on June 20th.

http://explorer.mugatucoin.com:2750/address/MMj8kE9EjFxTVjbazXTVXs5eM7G5XcCzAz

looking at the market history on Bittrex, there was a time period where about this many coins were traded between 17:00 and 17:29 on that date... (not sure which timezone bittrex is showing me).

during that time frame, the price was 2395 down to 1726.  not sure what he bought them at, but I imagine it was higher on June 8th ( when he posted having bought the coins at market value to replace the premine).  So dumping coins would have been useless, unless he was just cutting his losses as much as he could...

The dev was more of a twitter updater than posting on this forum and his last tweet was on the 19th of June...

"
So grateful for all our followers! You make our day!
"

The last time he logged into bitcointalk account was, June 20, 2014, 10:41:28 AM

This all kind of lines up to him dumping his coins on the 20th. Not exactly concrete evidence here, but BIG red flags.

Mind you, he bought these coins with his own money... so he can do whatever he wants with them, but this does not look good with the community.

At this point however, dumping my coins will get me peanuts.  I would rather keep them in the hopes of a community takeover or maybe mugatucoin_dev proves me wrong and comes back.

to dump or to hold is up to you, but I would rather gamble for the big bucks as opposed to enjoying a single pack peanuts right now.

EDIT: I just looked further into the transaction out of the development fund wallet.  It seems it did not go to an exchange.....from what i can tell, they went to another wallet with 40k coins and then another wallet with 157k coins... I am however no expert in tracking transactions on block explorers and could be completely wrong.  If someone smarter than myself wants to follow the coins, I am sure we can get a better idea of where the coins went.  Maybe he is stacking up coins as 157k is almost 10% of all the MUGA in existence.... or maybe this is the Bittrex wallet... I dont know.

the coin is 100% X11.

x11, x13 or scrypt not working for me. Any solution?

issue must be somewhere else then.  its X11, only try things on this algo.

by not working, do you mean you are getting rejects ?

what pool are you pointing too ?

Now how can I change my COINS?
I missed the time, still can change?

If you still have blitzcoin in your wallet, keep it there for now.  Do not transfer your blitzcoin anywhere.

It was expected some people would miss the swap at Bittrex, there will be another chance for others to exchange for DistroBlitz.

the date isn't known yet, but ample notice will be given.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DB][ANN] 凸 (◣_◢) 凸 ϟϟϟDISTROBLITZϟϟϟ OUT NOW! on: May 15, 2014, 10:17:22 PM
Well if we do not get these minting then we will have nothing to gain interest on in the first month.  I think it has something to do with your conf file and your name and your password and maybe even the port.  I have gone through these forums looking all over the place and maybe there are many different ways depending on how the coin is set up.  I don't know.  I can not find a clear answer.  People keep saying wait on this or that.  I would just like a clear answer for this coin.  Looks like it has kinda been asked and DistroBlitz said something about passphrase and user and password and 99999.  I am assuming that ALL of that info is on the conf file.  All I put on mine to begin with was that node list and then I added the latest addnode= to the top of the list.  I just wanted to get the wallet working and all.  It is working and synced so I am going to add the info to the conf file that goes above the addnodes.  That is why I asked for someone that knew what they were doing to get this wallet to start trying to mint for us.  Maybe only DistroBlitz knows for this coin.  Anyway, I have encrypted since it synced up so well now just to work with the conf to get the minting started.  Also, this has already been brought up but it scares the crap out of me knowing that this wallet is not up to date and protected from that heartbleed thing.  A new wallet is needed badly.  Especially if we are going to have to be leaving the wallet open for it to mint.  Thanks

Sorry, i didnt want to post my conf file until I confirmed I was minting POS blocks... which I now have, got 2 of them about 45 mins ago.  Here is my conf file:

server=1
daemon=1

rpcuser=distroblitz
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=8765
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.104
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=176.31.18.234

I think the bolded lines are really all you need.

I have left my wallet un-encrypted as it has been a pain for me on other coins, prob not best idea, but causes less headaches.  If the value of DistroBlitz rises like I am hoping it does, I will then encrypt it.

As for the HB vulnerability, yes it is important to get it updated, I completely agree.  But from what I have read on these forums, the altcoin wallets are not really susceptible (most not at all) to the heartbleed attack.  This may be wrong, but that is what I have read from other users of this site.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DB][ANN] 凸 (◣_◢) 凸 ϟϟϟDISTROBLITZϟϟϟ OUT NOW! on: May 15, 2014, 08:22:08 PM
Will someone who's coins are minting please show your conf file to me and then tell me what else I am doing wrong.  It has been 8 hours on some of mine.  I would just like to see it happening.  I have never minted coins before.  I always went for the ones that didn't have that option.  I have seen the question in other threads also so I am not the only one.  I am probably doing just something small wrong.  Thanks

I'm not sure what the dev has set, but 8 hours is just for coins to mature. We will need to leave the coins in the wallet for a certain days for them to start minting. Remember, it's more than 1% a month, better than any banks out there  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I am no expert on POS minting, but here is my understanding... yes, the min stake period is 8 hours, so what this means is that your coins have a possibility of minting a block once the 8 hours has past, but not guaranteed.  I think POS minting is similar to POW in the fact that you can have a long draught of no blocks or you can hit 3 blocks in a row, depending how lucky you are at the time.  i also believe the longer your coins have stayed in your wallet, the better chance they have of minting a block.  your chances of minting a POS block is a combination of the amount of coins you have and also the coin age...
1000 30 day old coins will have a much better chance of minting a POS block than 1000 8 hour old coins.

i still need to do some reading on this as I have been pondering on similar questions recently.  if what I said above is true, then wouldn't the interest gained (50% annual rate for the next 3 months in this case) be an average number and not finite.  if I got lucky for the whole 3 months, could I end up with 75% interest ? or if i was unlucky I could only end up with 25% Huh?

POS minting is very interesting and my understanding of it is still quite limited, if anyone else can further explain or discredit what I have said, please go for it.

You're right but you might not get more than 12.5% annual interest counting staked coins.

Thanks, but did you mean "more than 50% annual interest".  12.5% would be the relative interest earned in 3 months ( 1/4 of annual)... no?

Dev, I can't use this coin without Mac wallet.  Cry How soon it will be available?

I cant confirm if there is one currently in the works or not...

if their isn't one being worked on yet, I imagine we could offer a bounty for anyone able to get one going.

Can't say what the bounty would be though, the community would have to help decide on that figure.

My BlitzCoin never converted to DistroBlitz on Bittrex. Do I need to do anything?

that is wierd, it should have happened automatically.  I would contact Bittrex about that...

you should show a balance of blitzcoin on your bittrex wallet, it is disabled now though.  And you should see also 1/2 your blitzcoin amount in distroblitz.
