As for what to do with the donations, that is up to you.  This is a community fund and it's the community that will decide its purpose.

If you would rather only donate to a fund that is more specific to a certain task, let me know what you want your donations to go towards and I will setup another donation address solely for that purpose.  I could have an address for multi-algo developement, marketing developement and one as a reward for any Hemp oriented businesses that are willing to accept Hempcoin. 

Hempcoin has come a long way since it started and that is due to the pro-bono work provided by the Dev and certain community members.  this is great and very much appreciated, it shows that we have started a great community here.  However, I believe anything that can help expedite our success is very much welcomed.  The world of Crypto is ever changing and anything to help Hempcoin keep up or stay ahead of the game is the path we should focus on.

Let me know your thoughts and/or concerns, I just really just want to get the ball rolling on this idea before Lemons releases the POS fix and the price starts to jump.

That is a good idea, didnt even think of that.  This I can do.  this would also eliminate the chance of me forgetting to use coin control when sending coins somewhere.

Would I really have to re-download the blockchain to switch back and forth from different wallet.dat files ?  i would think I just shutdown the wallet, replace the wallet.dat and then start it up again.  I have never tried it, but don't see why it wouldn't work.

I was thinking about setting up a community donation fund for future enhancements and/or projects.  Right now is the perfect time since the price is so low.  Once the price rises (and it will), I am hoping we will have some very tempting bounties at our fingertips for the betterment of Hempcoin.

I don't really have much time to set anything up right now, so for the time being, I have created a separate address in my wallet.  

I understand if you are un-comfortable about sending coins into an address in my wallet, who am i anyways, just some guy that calls himself bocyaj.  However, I am hoping that my track record here has at least built up trust with some of you.  But once, again I will not think poorly on anyone who still feels uncomfortable.

I managed to buy a nice chunk of cheap coins, so I will start it off with a 200,000 THC donation.... ok, I forgot to add the Bittrex withdraw fee... there is only 199,999.8 coins. :-)

I don't have any road maps or specific plans for what to do with the donations as of yet, I believe this should be a community decision.

some ideas however are; introduce multi-POW algo's, create a  donation fund button, bring some new style to the wallet, etc...

I believe the "what to do" is not as important right now, I just wanted to kick off the donation fund before the price rises as I imagine a lot of people will either not donate, or donate much less once the price starts going up.

I am open to suggestions, criticism and even thanks too.

I agree this price rise is quite unnatural, but I think it is a very good sign.  pump group ? maybe, but not many are selling their coins either.  So whether or not there is a pump group, it all boils down the communities faith in soopy and the dev team.  And it seems we all have that in spades !

When this rise started off, I too was trying to play the market to accumulate more coins, but learned quickly that no one was selling into my buy orders.  Luckily, I managed to recoup my coins with only a small loss.

I don't want to offer any trading advice as everyone should decide on their own, but for myself, I am holding and enjoying the ride up.  Very exciting times for Navajo !!

You can somehow find out the IP address of the wallet that submits the blocks, just not sure how to do that though.  blockchain does it for bitcoin, https://blockchain.info/pools

not sure when you saw 14 Mh/s on the pool, but its about 180 MH/s right now.

I would assume most likely all solo-ers have their own rigs. 

You can't solo mine directly on your wallet from rental sites, you would have to setup a stratum server as the site defaults the "stratum+tcp://" in the address bar, at least they do for betarigs.

Just did a quick count and there has been about 1.5 btc traded in the past week.  We already meet the criteria to stay on.  albeit, were cutting it pretty close, but none the less I  am not too worried.

odd, you only have one address.... I always wondered why my solo mined blocks showed as coming in on different addresses.  I thought that was normal and just accepted it and moved on.

Just when I think I am starting to get a better grasp on the blockchain.... a wrench gets thrown in.

one of these days, I will a find a tutorial and some spare time and learn the nitty gritty going on behind the scenes.

ok thanks, I suspected this as you said your transaction count was lower on the explorer.  Can you verify in your wallet transaction tab if any are showing up as unconfirmed ?


I assume you are searching on your wallet address in the wallet and then exporting to excel and seeing what line it ends on ?  that's what I am doing, but I think I have sent at least some coins from each of my addresses (dont know how I can tell either), so unable to confirm this.

if you don't have any unconfirmed transactions, I am at a loss for why they are different.

EDIT, after I quote, eh... hehe.  even though you have only solo mined, you probably have more than one address in your wallet.  do a listaddressgroupings in the console.  that will give you a list of all addresses on your wallet and the balance for each of them.  then search the transaction tab for that address and compare it with the explorer.

A couple things about the differences in transaction count.

a) The wallet transaction tab does not count transactions out of your wallet from the given address, the explorer is counting these transactions out.
     - your transaction tab will only show that you sent coins to Bittrex ( or where ever), and not which address sent them.

b) The wallet transaction tab could have unconfirmed transactions in there from a fork, the explorer would not count these.

For all my addresses, the explorer transaction count is higher due to reason a.

What do you think is the best way to represent the transaction count in a block explorer ?

1) show a total count like it is now.
2) only show transactions in count.
3) show both in and out transactions, have a counter for each.

I have no clue how hard it is to change the explorer to 2 or 3, I am more so just curious on what would be the ideal solution.

I certainly don't want to infer more work on killsig, as he has already put countless hours of his spare time into building this explorer from the ground up.

it would be a lot of work if they made actual richlists for every coin they have.

Assuming the charts are close to real time, this is quite an insightful chart to keep an eye on when trading.

just found out that bittrex has a beta site that has a lot more information available about the markets:

I don't know much about it, therefore I would NOT do any trades on the beta site, but its neat to see all buy/sell orders.

looks like a bunch of people have taken your advice, THC already at 48 (128.6% increase) puts us at number one percentage increase on bittrex !! and the new wallet isnt even out yet.

with POS back in the mix, it will almost be like a block halving...... and in just under 72000 blocks, the true block halving will happen.  its gonna be MUCH harder to get coins.

I have manually set all users (which were under the new min of 500 ) automatic payment threshold  to 500.

Still trying to figure out how to get the change in the config to propogate to the pool.

I just put up some tempting sell orders on Yobit.net for between 150-180 to help get the trading started over there.  Grab them quick before I change my mind.

We would need very little volume to get into the top spots, 0.06 btc gets us to #2.  It's a small/new exchange, but still might help get a few more people aware of Teslacoins.

I would like to suggest that you put a limit on how many yobit codes a given account can redeem in a day, like 5 or 10 would be a good limit I think.  There are some super quick draw people in there grabbing them all up.  No matter how ready and quick I am, I can just never do it fast enough.

The free coins is a great idea to get people onto your site, but I think it is just frustrating people more than anything right now.

not exactly sure what your issue is, but I noticed the registration link I got was not fully hyperlinked, I got an error when simnply clicking it.  The last 20 characters or so were regular text.  I just copy/paste into the browser and it worked for me.
