getting closer to a social reach of half a million !!! I am very curious/excited to see how much of an effect this campaign has at the marketplace and to see how many newcomers join the community afterwards. Let's reach the entire crypto world with this message and make sure everyone knows what NAVcoin is all about. The Prize: 20K NAV @ 6120 satoshi's = 1.224 BTC = $783 USD
Don't forget, that calculation is considering the current low price of NAVcoin, NAV was up over 13,000 satoshi's not so long ago. What will the price of NAV be after the launch of the anonymous network ? ..... I am confident that prize will increase in value substantially. And NAV won't stop there, check out the website and look at the roadmap to see all that is in the pipeline: http://navcoin.org/projectsYour chances to win are just a few clicks away. Come for the prize and stay to see what NAVcoin has to offer and join one of the best crypto communities in the world as the word spreads to the masses. NAV has been around for a while and has a very active and approachable team. If you are new to Thunderclap, like I was, all you have to do is go to the link below: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/47929-navcoin-powered-by-the-people?locale=enclick one of the red boxes to submit your facebook, twitter or Tumblr account. (or all 3 to triple your chances of wining the prize !!!) Thunderclap will only post the one message on October 20th at 3:30 EDT. only 2 days to go, join before you miss out !

Ok guys. I contacted this guy from the crypto youtube channel and he is open to brand NAV in exchange for him receiving some NAV. Don't worry, it is not necessary to send him large amounts. I just sent him 25 NAV, which is 1 $. This guy has 1400 subscribers. I think if we can make him talk about the Thunderclap campaign, many of these subscribers could potentially sign up to this Thunderclap campaign and a lot more people can be reached. But what has to be done to make him talk about it, is up to the DEV team. I mean, I don't know if there is a certain amount of NAV he wants before talking explicitly about this campaign. This is his channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsqKbe0_9D9gO48DeuDjbCg?spfreload=5I know that since yesterday I am probably the most hated poster here. That's OK. I am not here to be loved or liked. I am here to get info about NAV and help NAV to grow if I can. This is also why I just stopped discussing. I really believe via this channel we could reach out to more people. I hope people here at least give it a honest thought and not straight reject this idea because it comes from me. If you honestly think this is not a good idea ... great then don't use it. However, if you reject it because of where the idea came from ... I could only tell you not shoot yourself and the community in the foot. Have a nice day. This could be a good idea. I am not really all about paying for news/articles/coverage or such, but I believe this could be a win/win for both groups. Exposure for us and this could bring new viewers to his channel. I would say pass along all the info/links about NAVcoin and let him decide if he wants to talk about it on his channel or not. You could also check with Mark or include him as a contact. This way also ensures a non-biased opinion and not just paid advertisement. I would be fine sending him 100 NAV or so if he wanted to test out the network on his own. Just my two sats. PS: its not important how or why someone got knocked down, it is how they got back up. Cheers !

Is there way to export and import all my keys? Or do I do one at a time it's not that many but I've only done it on a single key before. So the amount the wallet shows you differs from the amount showing in the block explorer? Correct?
Correct the block explorer shows the 9000.8 unclaimed I show it as Status: conflicted no green checkmark and is not in my total. I haven't really followed everything you tried so far, but have you tried starting with a fresh wallet.dat and then import your priv keys ? Judging by the number of posts, I assume you know how to do this, but if not I can provide steps. Not that I know of, I just do a listaccounts (or something like that), then dumpprivkey for each address tied to your wallet. Probably goes without saying, but make a copy of your orig wallet.dat before removing it. Good luck, let me know if it works out.

So how I understand, I would get the same amount if I stake just 1 day per year in compare to 1 year 24/7?
No you get most when you stake 24/7 Sure if you leave it offline for a year, the day you stake you'll get many more stakes than a regular day in 24/7. Maybe the equivalent of 2-3 days If you can't leave it on all the time, you probably don't lose too much if you leave it just 12 hours a day or open it every other day leaving your wallet open 24/7 gets you more coins due to the compound interest earned.

Yes, i have 0.3 0.22 0.66 3.75 1.81 1.13 very different amounts... And also some stakes show "generated but not accepted" I've been staking 24/7 on my laptop. Is staking just random stake amounts and random income amounts because I am staking all my coin and it just sometimes stakes 2000 for eg then 5000 and all income amounts are differnet. Avg 1 NAV an hour. Just curious how it works? Tempted to ditch more Monero for NAV haha.
Cheers
Maybe someone can answer to this? I am also interessted how it works. If I compare diffrent coins, all working little bit diffrent. The generation of coins in Peercoin looks random: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ppc/#@inflationNAV is more constant: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#@inflationShadowCash generated constant new coins and each block little bit more: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/sdc/#@inflationBlackCoin generated constant, each block exactly 1.5 coins: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/blk/#@inflationFrom what it depends on, how many coins are generated in a block? your wallet balance actually consists of numerous smaller chunks of coins, you can see the amount and size of these chunks in the wallets coin control. Each one of these chunks is essentially staking and trying to solve the next block in the chain. The chance the chunk of coins has to solve the block is based on the amount of coins in the chunk as well as their age, the result of this is known as their network weight, the higher the network weight, the greater chance of solving a block. When one of these chunks of coins solves the next block, the reward is also based on the amount/age of coins in the chunk. for ex: you have a chunk of 1000 coins that are exactly one year old when they stake/solve the block, you would be rewarded a full 5% of 1000 [50 coins], if those coins were only 1 day old, the reward would be (5% * 1/365) * 1000 [~0.13 coins]. I could be wrong, but pretty sure that is generally how all POS coins work. the difference in generation of coins between different alts is most likely due to how often and regularily wallets are left open/staking. If everyone leaves their wallet open 24/7, the staked amounts will be very linear. Whereas if people only open their wallet for staking once a month, the results would non-linear. When a chunk of coins stakes a block, these coins will not be available until the block they solved is confirmed, 60 confirmations. After 60 blocks, your coins will become available again and will have most likely been split up into two smaller chunks. From example above, you would probably now have two chunks of 525 coins ( assuming they were a year old when staked) visible in under coin control. edit: yes, Remy_5 would have a much better explanation than me, let me know if it ins't clear as mud. :-)

I have tried everything here that was recommended, even through tor (which actually worked the best), but sadly no matter what you do it takes 30 minutes to download 1mb worth of the blockchain to wallet. There is definitely something wrong that it takes so long to sync.
sorry to hear about your issues, my block chain synced up really quick and I have 20-30+ active connections consistently. I am finding the new wallet very quick,responsive and robust, although I am running it on a pretty beefed up PC. You may have already tried this, but here is my suggestion and what worked for me: 1) backup your wallet.dat, copy it somewhere safe 2) Delete the NavCoin2 folder in APDDATA, (note NavCoin2 and NOT navcoin) 3) start the 3.6 wallet, and close it shortly after you see the GUI interface. Make sure you have 3.6 version and not 3.5 !!! ( Help -> About Navcoin ) 4) download the blockchain that shahim created recently www.navcoin.conf/files/Nav-Blockchain.zip (Thanks Shahim) and extract it into the NavCoin2 folder. Make sure you overwrite whatever is in there. 5) create or edit the text file in the NavCoin2 folder called navcoin.conf (make sure it isn't getting saved as navcoin.conf.txt ) 6) paste the following into it: change the rpcuser/rpcpassword to something different for security reasons. The addnodes are up to date, I just copied them from the block explorer now. rpcuser=changeme rpcpassword=andmetoo rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 port=44440 rpcport=44444 listen=1 server=1 daemon=1 maxorphanblocks=10000 addnode=1.34.180.245 addnode=101.229.226.168 addnode=104.200.107.93 addnode=106.154.44.52 addnode=108.61.59.27 addnode=109.110.67.182 addnode=109.110.70.13 addnode=119.94.97.181 addnode=120.150.253.184 addnode=121.99.177.103 addnode=122.60.149.87 addnode=138.68.28.50 addnode=138.68.28.51 addnode=138.68.28.52 addnode=138.68.28.53 addnode=138.91.249.96 addnode=139.59.210.59 addnode=139.59.210.60 addnode=14.218.45.194 addnode=14.218.59.68 addnode=159.203.59.69 addnode=159.203.59.70 addnode=159.203.59.71 addnode=159.203.59.72 addnode=171.232.14.193 addnode=173.48.75.98 addnode=174.65.13.50 addnode=176.96.195.157 addnode=177.18.252.112 addnode=179.183.21.31 addnode=181.202.30.213 addnode=181.42.30.147 addnode=181.43.65.195 addnode=185.17.205.27 addnode=185.61.148.209 addnode=188.146.2.204 addnode=188.146.35.203 addnode=188.146.43.183 addnode=188.146.66.171 addnode=188.146.69.109 addnode=188.146.72.129 addnode=188.166.53.199 addnode=188.166.53.220 addnode=190.91.79.205 addnode=197.231.221.211 addnode=198.74.56.141 addnode=199.189.130.181 addnode=199.189.131.11 addnode=2.84.161.135 addnode=208.95.215.81 addnode=212.180.171.44 addnode=213.108.119.84 addnode=213.47.94.81 addnode=217.248.23.83 addnode=217.248.61.117 addnode=217.248.61.29 addnode=217.43.103.53 addnode=219.88.236.146 addnode=24.220.128.119 addnode=37.25.73.90 addnode=45.50.28.121 addnode=46.169.165.147 addnode=49.146.223.100 addnode=5.230.142.15 addnode=5.230.146.212 addnode=60.53.22.139 addnode=65.48.182.99 addnode=67.170.67.247 addnode=67.71.48.138 addnode=71.53.157.49 addnode=73.254.153.254 addnode=73.42.123.157 addnode=77.250.1.133 addnode=78.88.29.226 addnode=78.88.29.86 addnode=79.47.233.210 addnode=82.232.36.245 addnode=83.100.195.235 addnode=83.82.131.238 addnode=84.84.197.176 addnode=86.173.92.124 addnode=90.204.152.12 addnode=92.39.242.3 addnode=93.137.14.167 addnode=93.143.115.115 addnode=94.156.18.107 addnode=94.192.242.141 addnode=95.145.103.85 addnode=95.183.50.54 addnode=95.183.51.15 addnode=95.183.52.165 addnode=95.183.53.184
7) start your wallet and let it fully synchronize 8 ) stop the wallet and then replace the wallet.dat in NavCoin2 folder with the one you backed up in step 1) 9) startup the wallet again and all should be good NOTE: you might have to do a checkwallet, repairwallet in order to see your correct balance. When I have issues, I find it helpful to get fully in sync with a fresh wallet as sometimes your wallet.dat could be causing issues, if you have thousands of transactions already. Although I have never had this issue with Navcoin, I still go by this rule to eliminate possible causes for issues I see. Please let me know how this turns out. if it doesn't work, let me know your OS, amount of RAM and free space on your C drive. and we can go from there. Good luck :-)

for anyone having syncing issues on the old chain, please try putting the following into your navcoin.conf file:
maxconnections=2 connect=95.183.50.58 connect=5.230.142.254
And REMOVE any other addnode lines from your config file.
What this does is only allows your wallet to have a maximum of 2 connections and the 'connect' variables will force the wallet to ONLY connect to the nodes listed above.
Without this, your wallet will try to connect to as many nodes as possible, whether on the new or old network and cause delays on syncing to the old chain.
once your wallet is open, you can verify if it has worked by typing, 'getpeerinfo'. If you only have the nodes with IP's above, it worked.
I haven't test this on NAV since I had my coins on Bittrex for the swap, but the above method has saved numerous headaches for me on other coins.
Please let us know if this fixes the issue.
Remove the old obsolete addnde is correct, but so drastically restrict the number of connections, IMHO not seem at all the best solution possible, and it does not help other peers in the same condition. Especially I would like to avoid that this idea was perceived as overall definitive solution, valid in all cases, even in the future, because in the long run would be deleterious. The proper functioning of a crypto currency is based on the creation of distributed network of peers, sharing and exchange among themselves the blocks with the transaction between all nodes. Limit the nodes that way, it ends up transforming the structure of the peer's network of cryptocoin in a centralized manner, making it very slow, and at the same time this overloaded its supernodes, making them into weak points in a centralized structure. In some extreme case can help, but in normal condition this is not the best possible solution. completely agree Remy. however this seems to be needed as I only know of two definitive nodes on the old blockchain. Without adding the max connections of 2, the wallet could get confused by connecting with nodes on the new and old chain. I should have added a disclaimer that is only done in certain situations and should be removed immediately after.

decided to fire up the old wallet and give this a try. it started syncing right away, still over 116k blocks to catch up, but will let it run through course for a full test.

support ticket opened to Poloniex !
I can't believe they have not upgraded.... SYSCOIN 2.0 wasn't too long ago and is literally the exact same thing NAVcoin has just gone through. I am sure their are other examples as well that I am unaware of, people don't invest in a certain version of a crypto wallet, they invest in the team/community behind it.
Regardless of what POLO decides to do, they need to make their customers aware of what they are trading on their exchange. If they decide to stay on the old fork for whatever reason ( valid or nonsense ), they need to clearly indicate that they are not trading the current version of NAVcoin.... and even morso, provide a process on how to go about withdrawals/deposits on the old fork, Even its just a link to the NAV coin website instructions or something simple.
I feel bad for anyone that has been confused or lost coins due to this situation, it is not the fault of NAVcoin, but I still feel bad for any negative experience a NAV supporter goes through due to this crappy situation.
I 'somewhat' understand that NAV is not a top priority for them since the market volume isn't as high as other coins, but at least put a disclaimer on the NAV trading/deposit/withdrawal page that they are on an old fork and not compatible with latest client release of NAV until they have the time to upgrade the wallet. This would be in THEIR best interest to avoid numerous support tickets coming in from people wondering why their deposit/withdrawals are not showing up.
I am confident that this ordeal will settle, but I hope it happens before larger trading volumes starts coming in.
Good work on the NAV team for doing what they can to stay on top of this situation !!!
