The P2Pool source code connects to the current network. Just make sure that you guys are correctly synced. The only reason I switched was because invalid blocks were being submitted and not paying out. That pool was receiving payout when valid blocks were found however so it was unfair to the miners.

Hopefully this issue was resolved. I'll be keeping a close eye on the P2Pool network again.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Thanks Omar, I moved back to your node now.  I am watching it as well.... back down to 1/10th of what I should be getting. :-(

This coin is a perfect example of how even the worst news is good news.

Come on, 24 hours later and some pools are still forking??

+1

I've no clue why some people are still mining this fraud/scam/shit coin at all

We are attempting to prove a concept. Reality has nothing to do with it. Have you no respect for science, my friend?

When you look into DIEM for example, it had a similar concept and its working fine.. Without forks.. Mining is over now but now you can trade it.. The dev had a clue about it, the pools worked well.. This coin is like driving a 30 year old car, you have to fix it every second day.. this coin even more often Smiley

It's a pure waste of energy, mine a decent x11 coin and you'll quadruple your earnings.

mate, it's mostly your pool forked.
all other pools were fine in first hour and you ware maintaining fork for hours.

Yeah, I still doesn't understand why didn't fix it right away instead of waiting the coin were lost already...

I think at the time, they were trying to make it the proper/dominant fork by getting miners to switch over cause they didn't want to lose all their coins....

if i have to move back fine.... but it will cost me decreased shares for 24-48 hours... which is close to half the remaining time to mine this coin...... crappy, but oh well, I may move to a regular pool then.

Looking at the blocks in block explorer... I should have searched for blocks in first place instead of wallet addresses, but anyways.... it seems to be much better since 10:05:13 GMT today, but really bad before that...

There must have been one of the bigger nodes that was on wrong fork, or a bunch of them..... I haven't seen any of the discussion between the P2P operators, but I sort of agree with OmarG's original idea of PM'ing him for updated code.

Given all the syncing issues I am reading about.... I think its a good idea to verify that the pool operators are on proper fork before giving them the code to start a node.  What do you guys think?

just as a reference, I verified all the blocks that were not paid out on the original P2P, marked as bad.  turns out to be quite a lot.

Does this timeline line up with when the p2p pools figured out the issue ?

About the P2P Nodes....  Most must notice now that there are curretnly two P2P networks for this coin.  Omarg and P2Phash are the ones that I can confirm are on the GOOD one, might be others, but can not confirm.  Not to say the other nodes are on incorrect fork, but at least one of nodes on that P2P network is.

I believe any P2P owner that has posted recently saying they are on the correct chain is correct, however someone on that P2P network is not and everyone is missing some of the payouts because of it.

If you look at all the blocks found on that network, you will notice that some of the found blocks are not generating a payout for you.  Check the block explorer for yourself and others to confirm this.

I noticed this yesterday and brought it up on this threadG, Omarg responded and (please excuse my lack of knowledge on P2P) changed some hex code or something to make the new P2P network. so that we were mining on a network without any Nodes on the wrong fork, every block we have found has paid out since he did this.  Mind you we are not finding as many blocks because the hashrate is much lower than the other one, none the less we are getting paid for all the blocks we find.

For the other P2P owners out there, if you contact omarg and prove your Node is on the correct chain, he will give you the new "hex code".

There are 2 p2p networks because Omarg switched at night - which was plausible to do but does lead now to more confusion.
I am in contact with "the big p2pnode" owners in the old network, and once the admin of the wrong node this morning woke up, we solved the issue within minutes.
Yes it is said to say that in this some blocks got lost - but only the ones submitted on the node with the wrong chain. All other nodes submitted perfectly fine shares.

OmarG changed the code, but only on his pool and then announcing he will provide this only per PM and stuff. Really great, since it got lost in the thread and please forgive me, I am following this thread as a pool owner closely - but with all the spam happening in here. 1 post can easily get lost ... aaand OmarG did take time to respond for this.

It was not even changed in the sourcecode he provided, so anyone now wanting to run his own p2pnode has to contact omarG and so forth ... not a great situation for the p2p network ain't it?!?!

The current p2pnode status is as follows
  • all nodes are on the correct chain
  • the largest p2pnetwork ist the one that we provide with the highest hashpower (180MH vs. 50MH)
  • omarG's sourcecode still refers to the old network
  • omarG refuses to switch back, even though it is easier to switch 3 nodes than 7+ total right? Especially while omarG is/was in contact with the pool owners

For the benefit of p2p it would be best to only have 1 network - and I propose to use the one with the largest amount of nodes and hashrate..

I saw this post after sending out mine....  I haven't found a wallet address that has gotten paid for ALL the blocks I listed....

I checked a few others and see payments, but not for all blocks... I guess its possible they stopped minnig for a bit... but don't think so since the payouts would have deviated more I think..

which Node/Nodes were bad ?

UP & READY!

Attention: We are in the right P2Pool Network with >166 MHs P2Pool Speed and several Nodes!
The other one has only 25 MHs!

Just because your p2p pool has more hash, does not make it the right one..... We suspect one of the nodes connected to 'your' p2p network is on the wrong fork and causing that whole P2P network issues.

Take a look at the block explorer for any addresses currently mining on it... do you see transactions for any found blocks recently.  Any of the addresses I verify with do not....

IF YOU ARE MINING ON THE 'LARGER' P2P NETWORK, CHECK THE FOUND BLOCKS AND VERIFY THAT YOU GOT PAID FOR THEM.  OF THE 3 OR SO ADDRESSES I VERIFIED, THE ANSWER IS NO.

If you can find an address that has got payments for all blocks recently, please show me.

here are the last bunch of blocks found by the larger P2P pool:  (If you are mining here, check to see if you got payments for all or even any of these blocks)

My address is BJ22X2fMeFurhjZdgecEdXqweX3xFm4iQG if you want to check the block explorer and verify I got a payment for each of those blocks.

honestly, I am fine whether anyone switches or not, I am getting paid for all blocks found on the 'smaller' P2P network.  It would just be nice if the blocks were found a little more often.
But in the long run, it should work out the same for me.

I just feel bad for all those miners not getting anything in return.

I am in no way a P2P guru... but these are my findings and I fell the need to share with everyone what I found.  If you see something different, please prove me wrong.

If this helped you and you are feeling a little Blitzed, feel free to throw some blitz my way... hehe.

Come and mine on P2pool

Payouts straight to your wallet . AND P2pool is on the right chain ;-)

http://p2pools.cryptoprojects.eu:9333/static/

cgminer command line
Code:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://p2pools.cryptoprojects.eu:9333 -u YourBlitzCoinAddress -p x

Benefits of p2pool
  • 1% Fee
  • Transaction Fees Paid to Miners

For the other P2P owners out there, if you contact omarg and prove your Node is on the correct chain, he will give you the new "hex code".

anyone else having issues with payouts on P2P recently ?

My last payout was 3 hours ago on the block @ Wed Mar 26 2014 18:19:31 GMT-0400.

the 4 blocks after have not paid me anything.  I am on omargpools.ca.

My address shows up on the P2P sites (BJ22X2fMeFurhjZdgecEdXqweX3xFm4iQG) with an estimated payout.

I verified on block explorer as well, only 5 transactions and should be 9.  Confirmed I am on proper chain.

funny, just as I was typing this I received a payment from P2P... but still, where did the payouts for the 4 blocks go ?

I am not sure.

I did notice that in the past two weeks they tweeted on the thursday night announcing that they were adding new coins on Friday.

They did not have this announcement last night.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

sent in .28. glad to see others noticed this as well and acted on it.... was a nice surprise to see the other 2 transfers when checking mine.

Gotta see this through, we are so close....

seems they announced at 6:30 AM on twitter last two weeks.... not sure what timezone that is in though.

P.S
Please make sure that the pool you are using is sitting on the new code!!
DO NOT MINE ON OLD POOLS

I will put this bigger and bolder as there is still 8Mh mining at minersbest which has the old wallet !!!!!!!
MinersBest also shows a net hash of 20Mh

MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE NEW WALLET WITH KGW !!!!

This would increase our net hash by 33% !!
We need to get the net hashrate up ASAP.

PUMP THURSDAY NIGHT!!! 20TH MARCH

Plan:

1. Fill Cryptsy voting poles with BTC for IPO: The person who Donates the most on Thursday night too Cryptsy poles will receive 1,000,000 bat from me for free! 2nd place 250k 3rd place 69k

2. CryptoRush Ultra Pump! (PM for details)

PM for more details, the IRC chat channel will be used to help cordinate the pump on the night.
Keep reading this post for more details and a specific time!

Someone just offloaded about 100 million BAT on Cryptorush, took out all the buy orders and had about 17 million leftover to sell for 1 sat.

I am guessing the multipools just offloaded before the KGW took effect..... I hope at least, maybe that's the last of them.

or who else who sell that much at this point for 1 SAT ?

Alright guys if anyone is thinking about buying some IPO do so a few hours before the next coins gets picked for cryptsy Wink

I don't think they advertise when a coin is going to be added.  I haven't watched it long enough to see if there is a certain day they like better.

Does anyone else know when they get added ?

Nice. I added it to the german version.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=466177.0

Edit:

Dev, you still didn´t add the turkish version to your OP!!!

Could you give me the link to the Turkish translation?

Also, in regards to pock.io, I haven't received word from them. I'm assuming they're on it. If we're not on there tomorrow, I'll send them an email again.

I sent an email to them asking about using the starbucks cards in North America and asked about smartcoin, this is what I got back from them ( very quick response as well )

"
Unfortunately we cannot cater for North America at the moment but we will be rolling out there as soon as possible. And yes, we will start to accept Smartcoin in the near future.

He does not say when, but does confirm they will be adding it.

Good news in my books.

BatCoin IPO Program

Goals:

1. get Batcoin to be listed on Cryptsy
2. rise the BTC that we need to pass Cryptsy voting ASAP
3. proft the BatShare holders
4. Dark Knight

Steps:

1. we are going to sell 100M BatShares (represented as BatCoins) for 7 satoshi each

2. the BTC earned from the previous step will be used strictly for Cryptsy voting, you will be able to follow the btc with blockchain.info

3. BatCoin will reach the first positions on the voting list and this will make people will start to invest and bat value will rise accordingly

4. BatCoin will enter the Cryptsy world

5. 15 days after the day bat is added to crptsy, the BatShare holders will be rewarded by this way:

*BatShares will be bought back at the price represented by this formula CurrentPrice + CurrentPrice-7,meaning we will double the difference between the prices
so for example: you buy 100,000 shares at 0.7 BTC - the price goes up to 8 satoshis on cryptsy, we are buying back at 9 satoshis( 8+ 8-7)

*IF in 30 days the price won't rise on cryptsy to at least 7 satoshis, we will buy back the shares at 7 satoshis meaning you will NOT lose BTC in any case

*the list of the batShare holders will be publicly available (with censored usernames) trough google docs or a similar platform

Interested? Throw us a private message!

sounds like an interesting idea, I like it.  I will correct your math(moreso a typo) as it may be scaring off a few people.  At 7 satoshi, 100,000 shares would only cost 0.007 BTC.  If all 100,000,000 shares are to sell, that makes 7 BTC, which would put us right up in the running on Cryptsy votes.  This s a good number as it proves your intentions are sound.  Thanks and good luck, lets hope this is the push Batcoin needs.

P2P Pool, 0.5% fee!
High-speed server located in Amsterdam

http://188.226.185.177:8336/static/ for the web interface.
Use "minerd -o http://188.226.185.177:8336 -u <BCAddress> -p password" to connect!
Added stratum protocol to reduce orphans even further! To switch to the stratum enabled port just change "-o http://188.226.185.177:8336" to "-o stratum+tcp://188.226.185.177:6338".

As always; to connect point your miners to stratum+tcp://188.226.185.177:6338 or http://188.226.185.177:8336 with your username being your BCAddress(you find it in the QT client) and anything as password!

your pool does not seem to take my difficulty setting very well.  It sets the proper diff for the first few shares and then goes off on its own.  Getting very few rejects though.
