Attention Community,

After staking went active our wallet had some problems.  I had made some large purchases and withdrawls from Cryptsy that never showed up.  For like 3-4 weeks I would get the runaround about the wallet is being maintained and I should see my coins soon.  Well after the 4th week I was getting pissed.  I decided to search Google for any reference to a contact number for Cryptsy.  I found and called this number 888-963-9935.  When they answer (and sometimes they don't always) the announce themselves as "blah blah" investments.  I can't remember the beginning of their company name.  The eventual person that helped me was Paul (paul@cryptsy.com).  I was relentless and called once every 2 days until I was helped by Paul personally.  It is my impression that he is the head honcho.  Btw - they only work Mon - Fri.  This is an American company.  I am not sure on what time zone but I called on the EST.  I hope that helps you.

Pokeytex

did he fix your issue? did he update their wallet?
thanks for the info!

Yes - after the third contact with him he was able to resolve the situation and updated the wallet.  All my coins showed up.

Cryptonit,

Are we still voting on Mintpal?  Is usecryptos our new focus?  Also, is usecryptos a secure site?  I see it located in Brazil but has anyone used it before?

Danbi,

I just noticed there are more than the usual number of orphans showing up on your pool.  Is that a precursor to a problem or just something happening that is normal?

If you are/were mining on danbi's Pool on 2014-08-02, you should take note of this.

During the wild forks that were happening at that time, the danbi's Pool backend scripts managed to stop. This is an extremely rare event, has happened once or twice before for the pool's history. This time however, I was (very) away from computers and could not react soon enough. In addition, the data inconsistency was more than the MPOS automatic accounting scripts could handle.

As a consequence, all the shares submitted during that time were assigned to one block, and all the next blocks (636 in total) were not accounted properly.

What is most interesting, nobody, but community member hallared ever contacted me on this matter. One would think, that you gals and guys don't need the Diamonds you mine at the pool? ;-)

In this particular case, hallared not only showed interest, but in fact helped me great deal in actually deciding on a fair distribution of these unaccounted coins. Big thanks to hallared from me!!!

I have now executed the scripts that will send out the amounts miners were supposed to get. It is sent from the pool's hot wallet, but will not be recorded in the pool's statistics/transactions. That was something I contemplated doing, but it turned out to be too much of doctoring the database and could lead to worse situation.

If you mined at danbi's pool between blocks 513651 and 514538, you should receive your missing earnings with an transaction message of "lost coins from danbi's Pool blocks 513651-514538".

If you believe you had mined at danbi's Pool during that time, but your calculations/expectations to not match what was sent, or you received nothing, please contact me to sort it out.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this situation may have caused you.

Danbi,

I do not watch the pool closely enough to realize I was missing any DMD's.  I appreciate your honesty.  I did receive my DMD's today.  Thank you.  I am reminded why I feel Diamond is the coin to mine every time you (or the rest of the dev team) release a wallet update/fix or respond with a helpful post.  It feels like you are vested in this venture and truly care about the coin.  I have stopped mining all other coins and solely focus on DMD.  I am not a big time miner as you can tell by my hash rate.  Grin  The reason I came to Diamond after trying all the others was because the community seemed to have a unified message.  I just wanted to tell you and the other's in the dev team/community thank you for your hard work and efforts to keep us all mining!

any news when cryptsy will be resuming trading for DMD ?

My advice is to submit a ticket with Cryptsy.  If no one sends a ticket to them they don't realize there is a problem.

Nice work gentlemen....... I skipped the .conf file from the blockchain download...was this a no-no?

The 2.0.3 wallet is the only/first one I have....apologies if its been answered I read the best I could.

I do have a conf file it just has the OP specs and my settings

I recommend you adding to the .conf file the following line:

noirc=1

If your wallet goes to the wrong chain you will see it as the difficulty will dramatically decrease and you will probably have a crash of your wallet. In that case, delete all files (except wallet.dat and diamond.conf), copy the blockchain from OP again to the folder, and try changing addnode=193.68.21.19 to connect=193.68.21.19 in the .conf file (temporarily). You can then revert to addnode=193.68.21.19 when the situation has stabilised.

Quick question - is the network down?  I cannot connect to Danbi's website nor is my wallet registering any confirmations.  It is stuck at .0157432 difficulty and I have the following settings in my .conf file.
rpcuser=cgar
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=17772
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
listen=0
noirc=1
connect=193.68.21.19

Is it possible I forked again even though I have the above settings or is Danbi working on the network?

Thanks,
pokeytex

nice try
appear out of nowhere after a attack with 3 post account all at DMD
and try motivate people dont to use the stable point of our network

i would say thats part2 of an attack plan

multiple attacks failed
now try the social one.....

people trust in danbi's suggested solution
we are on same chain as cryptsy
dmd multipool is one same chain

I can attest that Danbi's solution has worked perfectly.  I am now on the correct chain.  As always thank you Danbi.

Ok - something crazy happened - the system seems to have crashed, the difficulty dropped drastically, and now I am getting the error that I can't open my wallet again.  Any advice?  It is the same error after POS went active.

** Assertion Failed ** - error

You are likely on a fork. What do you see as

$ diamondd getcheckpoint
{
    "synccheckpoint" : "0000000002097549fdc9f404acc5db9b03de65c6e6801bbf77fa9bfacf6257c6",
    "height" : 510591,
    "timestamp" : "2014-07-30 18:58:04 UTC"
}

You should see higher height and timestamp than this.

As for the assertion failed, there should be other text in the message. What is it?

Danbi,

This is the error.  I didn't do anything.  I just logged in to your pool and saw that the difficulty was at 3  - I then logged into my machine and checked the wallet.  It matched.  The difficulty then proceeded to climb back up.  I cannot log into my wallet to test the checkpoint since I keep getting this error.

Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\users\pok\desk\crypto\diamond-qt-2.0.3exe
File: src\kernel.cpp, Line 410

Expression: pindex-> pprev || pindex-> GetblockHash() == (!fTestNet ? hashGenesisBlock:hashGenesisBlockTestNet)

Not sure if that helps.

I just resynced the wallet and this is the check point:

"synccheckpoint" : "00000000000252c67d48a5be604990ab2ea22e8dae067c24b834bc059e5cedb8",

What do you mean that 'the system seems to have crashed' - your OS or the Diamond network? If difficulty dropped significantly you might have forked. It's 70 at the moment.
Very strange it gave you this error as Fast Index feature seemed to have fixed that issue, but if that happened it means your database is corrupted and the new one needs to be built. Follow the instructions as with the previous crash.

No - my machine is working fine and was until I logged into Danbi's and noticed that the difficulty was around 3.  The overall system MH/s was reading 350 and danbi's pool was reading like 1700 mh/s.  I am not sure what happened.  I then logged into my machine at home to see that everything was ok and all seemed fine.  I closed my Diamond Wallet version 2.0.3.  It has been working flawlessly since the birthday download.  However, when I reopened it I got the assertion error.  Do I need to resync and go through that process again?

This is exactly why i switched to Aidbit & Atheistcoin to mine. Both GRS algo and in my opinion more profitable.
Still hold my DMD bag but with the lack of action i'm losing interest in DMD.
But since i'm a GRS algo fan i will keep supporting DMD

I disagree about the lack of action. Wallet has been working fine after a troubled start and quite some work. Multipool has been set up. Website has been set up.

But I would like to get some insight on future developments.

All I know is I just transferred some more BTC to Cryptsy to purchase at these lows!  This is insane that it keeps dropping but what the hell i'll take advantage of it.  Also, keep voting on Mintpal so we can get DMD on another exchange.  To get started just create an account, transfer a small amount of BTC.  Make 5-6 buy and sells and you can vote.  Good day all.

I have been voting 5-6 times per day as time allows me.  It is cool to see us moving up the list so quickly.  If everyone does it a few times a day we will be on Mintpal before we know it.

Woo Hoo!  I got my DMD's in my wallet today!  It took a couple phone calls to them but they finally pulled through.  Once I had them on the phone they quickly figured out what happened.  I am a happy camper again!  I am going to test some more small purchases on Cryptsy and send to my wallet to see how it goes.  I did inform the gentleman I spoke with that we are now on 2.0.3.  He was not aware of the new wallet.

Pokeytex

Pokeytex, I'm still trying to get mine (they send me a periodic/idiotic e-mail saying they appreciate my patience, etc., but do nothing, and that after having told me over 6 weeks ago that a re-send had been approved); what phone number did you use, and who did you speak with?

PM me if you want to keep this below radar.

TIA

Just Fyi - I run 750 ti's - They produce about 7mh each and use about 50-60 watts of power each.  They are awesome!

Thank you Pokeytex for the info. Highly appreciated! If you don't mind me asking... What brand/model are they? And, in your opinion, do your cards have good overclock capabilities?

hallared

I use the EVGA Superclock cards.  I use powered risers.  I do not overclock however I have heard others do.
