I graduated in electronics.

Its a shame the things I have forgotten. I always wanted to be a hobbyist.

Life is too damn consuming.

Amp belongs to this young fella played bass with us for a bit.  One day we are raging away and the amp goes FzzzzzzzzPOP with the accompanying smell of the magic smoke.  I'm like "skid it across into the shack, I'll see what I can do."

Pull it apart, the final is this monster 24pin IC with the whole output side blown off it.  At the time the part was $35 or something.  I Digikey one up and get it in <LESSON ALERT 1 !> disregarding the first law of electronic troubleshooting; Thou shall check power supply rails...

Fire it up, a slight crumble sound from the speaker then nothing.  Get to poking around, both the supply regs and some zeners have failed short and unregulated DC is present at the device...shit.

Order up those parts, hoping against hell that the $35 chip has protected itself somehow, it does have a laundry list of self protective features integrated.

About this time we started seeing another bassist.  Some of you may know how band breakups can be.  The kid took it pretty hard and broke contact.

Got the supply parts in and fired it up...nothing.  <LESSON ALERT 2 !> I have a common character flaw.  It's not that I'm a quitter so much as when I fuck stuff up due to my own laziness, inattention or stupidity it really kicks me in the balls.  Case in point; walking away from an engine assembly project, bottom end all bolted up, without wrapping it up in plastic, then diving into a fabrication project without paying attention and spraying the open engine with the grinder...that fucker is still sitting there 4 years later.

So the thing got slid under the bench and collected dust as a constant, depressing reminder of my lameitude, with the added social weight that the kid probably figures I stole it from him.

Well, I been trying to get my life together and clear out these projects that are dragging me down.  This made it to the top of the pile and it turns out the chips are EOL now and are going for $7.  So now I get to email the kid and relieve myself of the psychic weight of the whole episode.

Sorry for the uncharacteristic wall of text.

Often used to find it was the capacitors that popped over time. I had a head unit refurbished once, retouched all the solder joints etc.

Hello! Today is the year as I am registered on the forum. Now I will celebrate this event. I want to thank everyone for the fact that in the evening, reading the Wall Observer BTC / USD, I feel the support of like-minded people and get a good mood charge (in most cases).

Good place as you say for

1) very experienced people in lots of fields

2) Good ideas are shared

3) and they can be well critiqued too

One day we may all get rich together if we keep sharing and exchanging ideas and suggestions.

I think the calibre is often good. Some obv exceptions but that's also something to learn.

"Patent factories" patent lots of stuff

Then ransom peoples good inventions.

Main  requirement is a lot of money, eg like google et al.

I don't see why that cant be CSW he clearly has some funding channels ?

He said something about coin teams being technically unlimited companies.

Unlimited, in my recollection of company law, was the liability of any 1 individual. Ie a limited partnership can be 50% each limited liability. Unlimited means 1 person leaves and 1 person caught they pay the lot.

So can he end up suing some coin teams members? possibly

How does a beard enable such presumption

Over my head, woo hoo I pissed higher up the wall.

2875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 15, 2019, 10:57:22 AM
crop

Next year you might consider having Welsh sausage instead.

That "Welsh" sausage confuses me. Around the QR code it says "opskrifter fuld af smag" that's danish (or possibly norwegian) and means "recipes full of taste" and underneath is the symbol for the Swedish farmers asociation "Lantmännen" and under that is the Welsh flag. I'm confused.

Bad shopping, so to speak

2876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 15, 2019, 09:47:34 AM

My cashing out will happen based on a timeline, rather than based on BTC price

Seems silly to completely ignore price, say there was a rise and a dip or anything is possible.

Have that plan but also add a automatic trigger.

If price goes above x = start the 1% plan early

If its silly low you might make the opposite exception = Delay start of 1% plan

What do you think of that?

A new listing for Grin; GRN has been listed at Poloniex.

Not yet announced on Poloniex official channels! Grin

OK well done, now I have some potential grin exposure.

Either or both

More dumping, though not really that much of a dent on the price. haha don't let the door hit you on the way out dude
