Difference is bitcoin is fully transparent. If the cost of privacy is extra storage then surely that's a decision for the consumer?

Rolling along in the channel atmo

3803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 24, 2017, 09:50:29 PM
The sooner people stop supporting scams, ponzis and other bullshit, the quicker we can start investing in things that will really move humanity forward.

You're going to have move them forward despite it because it's never going to change. In fact I'd hazard to guess that it's barely gotten started.

The best thing Bitcoin can do to combat it is to become bleedin' enormous so this schoolyard shite would be like a fly punching a Brontosaurus.

The ridiculous amount of scams in the space that "doesn't need any regulation" is unbelievable. Scam after scam. In the end the chickens may come home to roost.
3804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 24, 2017, 09:43:45 PM
Nobody is sharing tips for European League?
I don't bet serious money on this competition but I like following 2 tips for today.

Aek to win over Rijeka @1.85. The Greeks are playing better and better while Rijeka is currently in downward spiral. Furthermore, Heber only decent attacker recently is not playing today for Rijeka.

Lazio vs Vittese over 2.5. I see this as high scoring game. I believe both teams will play without first keepers and use mixed squads.

And that is way I don't bet serious money on Europa League. I take my hat off for anyone who can consistently make money on this competition. I'll stick to Champions league only in the future.

Leaning that way too. Too many bull shit killing my accas all the time. Even the CL really. :/   lol

Monero is focused on highly privacy encryption currency, POW algorithm is used, its function has been verified, I like it very much, I am ready to make this project funds stud Cool Cool Cool

This.  /\

Monero is built on research and supported by continual review and evaluation of security principles.

Monero has professionals contributing to the cryptography and testing.

Monero is transparent and you can even contribute if you like and have the skills.

0.022 was always a good place to get to at one point. I wonder if it will be anything significant this time?

3809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 22, 2017, 12:08:58 PM
More wet fart than boom.

Monero is a strong coin far from that original base code.

Yes there are other projects, you seem to have landed on the wrong thread if you want to shill them here.

Meanwhile for all of us the Monero price is pumping nicely, given the ATH of bitcoin is also happening in the background (increasing the dollar value gains) its even nicer.

3810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: November 22, 2017, 12:04:55 PM
As per my prediction, Sevilla vs Liverpool ended with a draw. I admite that my prediction is almost missed but the Liverpool defense showed their identity in the second half. Conceded 3 goals even 1 last goal printed in the last minute. Liverpool just get Istanbulled and Sevilla is being Liverpool 2OO5.

Bummed my acca actually. I expected Liverpool to lose because of this inconsistency mentioned.

However that was a good call here the over 3 goals one.

And I suppose they almost pulled it back. The 2 min in Liverpool goal was very unfortunate.  :/

I cannot understand why dash has any traction.  Can someone ELI5 for me?  It makes me concerned that I may be fundamentally misunderstanding, well, everything.

Dash has been successful in only one sense: Understanding that what the masses actually want is horseshit wrapped in a logo. The argument could just as easily be applied to many manifestations of mainstream culture: McDonalds, iPhone, Coke, Budweiser, Hollywood remakes, Disney, etc.

People generally love shit.

If there is wisdom to be extrapolated it is that Monero needs to be aesthetically as advanced as any other piece of crap out there, and the gift of privacy/fungibility can be injected to an otherwise ignorance audience regardless. Brand and image requires as much attention from the Monero intelligentsia as cryptography, and much like the establishment of the Monero logo (99 designs) it will most likely require pushing to visual design experts.

I say this, because I've been spending the last week or so redesigning the Monero subreddit which I intend to push to the community in the next couple of weeks. To be frank, the current subreddit looks kinda shitty, and it has sparked inspiration in me at least to review Monero's collective capacity to compete with mainstream brands. (It's do-able with the right mindset.)

Your efforts are much appreciated and incredibly worthwhile.

I agree with the thrust of what you say; Monero needs better marketing. That said, it must be in character and distinctive - Monero is special.

I think also that's a great idea.

Starting with tidying up the crap is a winner.

Sadly this very thread is so often over run with crap itself, that cant look good to genuine new people dropping in for a look.

I'm backing

Sevilla and Napoli.

Added in 2 other obvious games and in at 3.6/1

Shit Sevilla is 1 behind in first minute.

i forgot about this thread in disgust back in the 850USD NOW!!!! madness...

i was under the impression afrikoin would never return after such a wrong and prolific statement...

i actually sold too much on that awful awful advice

The bid side on Huobi reached over 180 million CNY! Shocked
So IMO they just wait for a TA excuse to pump, with such large amount of fresh fiat 850$ becomes possible. Roll Eyes

It looks like a fat fingers number nowadays. Bizarre.

Who is the "They" to whom you refer?

EDIT#2. Nice article --> http://www.trustnodes.com/2017/11/17/tether-bitfinex-new-mt-gox

Yeah, I never understood why people trusted it in the first place, it's just a very large hot potato game. People just gambling that they will not be holding when the music stops. Lol

That sounds like so many other projects I have seen round here over the years.

3816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: November 20, 2017, 08:48:26 AM
Any help if it is possible to mine monero with "Alienware AW15R3-7376SLV-PUS 15.6" Gaming Laptop (7th Generation Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 128SSD + 1 TB HDD, Silver) VR Ready with NVIDIA GTX 1070" and the approximate Hashing Power with GPU mining.

I will use the laptop at work during 6h/1day so I am not paying electricity cost. is it possible to pay back the laptop during 3 to 6 months.

Thank you

ROI in 6 months, I highly doubt that.
I highly doubt he'll ROI in 6 years.

Wait, he is also planning to steal the laptop so he just needs ROI on his disguise. How long to ROI on a moustache and monocle?
3817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 20, 2017, 08:44:26 AM
we are at 0.0164 and holding on OK.

Bitcoin just keeps on marching forward now over 8K (8047.96) wow, the pullback there looms larger and larger but it doesn't ever seem to come.

What are the thoughts on the 2 relative prices? hoping for a bit of elastic between the 2

Edit - Latest Master Luke comment - "We go for 20k on the corpses of bears."

That's still a big push for BTC, still seems more believable than just a few months ago.

3818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 19, 2017, 07:16:30 PM
Its all risk management so maths is a big bit of that.

Risk 20 pounds to win 1000 pounds OK

Risk 1000 pounds to win 20 pounds not so good

3819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 19, 2017, 12:58:45 PM
And boom £3 to £45 bit of adjustment was good.

Edit BTW I think the opposite, not understanding maths can lead to losing a lot
