You cannot walk in the same river twice

I get your point. But the fact is that you do walk in the same river - multiple times - because that's how it makes sense to the human (still dumb) brain.
Different water molecules or different river bed just won't cut it. Not in the short term anyway. We need patterns to project our thoughts in to the future.

What you believe is more real than reality itself.

I believe I can fly

It sure looks the same to me Jay.

Of course, might look the same, in terms of the history, and that is fine, yet my question remains how much value you going to place in the future playing out the same way?

You cannot walk in the same river twice

Posted on Bitstamp Twitter account: "Bitcoin has proven to be very robust. Since it was launched on 3. January 2009, the network has been up and running 99.993% of the time. That’s just around 6 hours of downtime in a span of over 9 years.".

I'm surprised that there was actually a downtime. Do you have more information why it was down for 6 hours? was it a single incident or multiple incidents?

A solid 10 seconds of googling revealed:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Value_overflow_incident

So bitcoin had its own Vitalik moment. Very interesting indeed.

Mornin, thread.  Grin

You're pushing your luck, pal.  Smiley

When life gives you lemons, you trade it for bitcoin.

Let's imagine these are lemons. And let's imagine I photoshopped them into bitcoins, haha.  Cheesy

I thought it was decentralised.

If its centralised then they can do a haircut for everyone.

Fortunately it all looks so doom. It must be harder to trick people by dumping it lower as people are coming to expect it.

It's one of the few places left where you can spend your bitcoins online.

Unfortunately.

I'm to the point of considering ordering a credit card. My Amex was supposed to be only for emergencies but I've racked up plenty of useless sky miles over the past year with it.

Two words: Shift card.

More words: spend your Bitcoin at any place that takes Visa.

Goal of Bcash shills - attempt to get bitcoiners to spend their bitcoins, and trick BTC hodlers ...

JJG, you're an autistic knee-jerker. Mind the context, mofo.

We're pairing you two up together for third shift at the WO McDonald's.

It always seem to happen like that.  Fuck.  I am going to quit this McieD's bullshit (and having to rub elbows with the likes of jbreher for 4 hours) as soon as I can get enough money for my own apartment.  You fuckers.   Angry

Don't be too hasty. These burgers are going to the moon!!!!one!1!!

@realr0ach

I actually find most of what you say quite entertaining but you last post was just weird, even for you. Just, completely off topic, nothing to do with any of the ongoing conversation.

Are you OK?
