What do you mean universal language? Our language is the best all over the world so try to learn Greek. This coin is for Greek people...and also you can use...google translate. Just kidd soon it will be ready in english.  Smiley

"This coin is for Greek people"

and i want to ask how many merchand from Greek support your coin Huh

Yeah he is not making any sense. He says you don't need to cash this coin in Greece, but then says the coin is for Greek people. Nuts.

You waste too much time with an obvious scam. Why do you continue bump this shitty thread?Let it die in peace...
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 11, 2015, 04:30:08 PM
By reading TrueCryptonaire's posts you know instantly in what direction he's trying to day trend. Sometimes he contradicts himself in the same day, but always writing like he's throwing omnisciently absolute truth.

I have noone in ignore list. However i seriously just dont read his posts...It doesnt worth it. He just aims for panicking total noobs anyway...
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: April 11, 2015, 03:19:13 PM

Why don't use the BCN implementation ? Isn't Monero originating from the same codebase ? I have not followed Monero development.

I want to say that cryptrol is a serious and skillful guy so a good answer would be nice. I am just saying that cause i think noone replied him. I would but i dont understand all the differences...

On another note good to see those GUI pictures.

Is https://www.bitcoin.co.id/ a well known exchange in the region? And are they finally going to list monero?

I heard a rumor that soon you will be able to run a full node on a raspberry pi. So I went to Adafruit.com and ordered a Raspberry Pi 2.

Adafruit accepts bitcoin, so I was able to pay with Monero using XMR.to. With a case, that comes to about 73 moneroj.

Damn, that's a good service! Now that I am spending moneroj I need to start buying more.  Cheesy

Oh, thats interesting! I will go for one of those too! Thanks!

Primer- is more a fan of Andreas Antonopoulos and wants David to be like him. As he said multiple times on our IRC.
But i prefer our David - he doesn't spread Mac Malware: https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/433080081179611136

Jesus.... Shocked

Nice LTB interview Smiley
I see shapeshift is on Cheesy
Nice to see BuyMonero.net!Will probably use it soon.
Seriously, were we number 10 in coinmarketcap ever again?  Grin
Who are the CYBER.FUND?

Finally, is the general consensus that atrides is just slow or a scammer?

205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Mining on: April 10, 2015, 02:52:56 PM
Guys, i have access to free electricity Grin Can anyone provide me with details to what kind of power is needed to mine around 200 XMR daily, and the ROI minus electricity cost. Thnx

You can't read? You can't do math? You want us to do your homework for you?

I am all for a community helping out its members, but that doesn't imply doing legwork for able-bodied and able-minded members.

With that said, I think you will need in the neighborhood of 250 khash/sec to be able to mine around 200 XMR per day. The emission is steadily declining, and (in general) the higher the network hashrate, the less each miner gets.  Luck and other factors also influence reward.

ROI:

# XMR mined * selling price - hardware cost - sales commissions - electricity cost (which is apparently Zero for you) = profit or loss

Now, get mad that I asked you to do some of your own work, get over it, and then go do some research.

EDIT: ROI minus electricity cost?  You just said Guys, i have access to free electricity

Are you OK?

Here is a video for you to start doing this thing called mathematics:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6M89-6106I

Oh come on, dont be so negative. I assume that he already has done some basic research but by making a question he just wants to find if something is more efficient than what he has in mind. Like someone to tell him if it is better to use gpus or cpus, maybe create his own pool, what is the best miner etc...Discussion is not bad!

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GAP] Gapcoin - Prime Gap Search - New Math Algo - CPU / GPU - Zero Premine on: April 09, 2015, 12:42:27 PM
nothing new here?
Gap is dying

I'm staying to set some more world records, my guess is that's the motivation for most others still here.

+1

I also continue to mining but it is sad to see how the price drops.

Is someone using antminer or asics to mine this now?  There's two big pps users in the pool, could explain the price going down perhaps.

No there isnt any asic mining gapcoin. Actually not many are mining the coin right now. And those who do either do not care about the price right now and simply are mining speculating that one day the price will be right or simple they like what the coin is doing, breaking world records.

This coin is not supposed to be that attractive to people who dont care about tech, mathematics or generally bitcoin protocol. Its the community's job to make it attractive.

It would be indeed a good thing to see if j0nn9 is alive and if he is working on something. But generally speaking what do you guys expect from him? To start putting stupid things on the code/title just to make the coin more attractive? He delivered a coin that does what it is supposed to do. Though some bug fixes wouldnt be that bad Cheesy

I personally dont care about the prices. You can simply put 0.01 right now and buy a few thousands. So i am accumulating a bit and also i am mining just to support it.

Finally, what this coin needs is awareness in the mathematics communities. This way you support gapcoin, you are participating in a project that will probably help science and you also spread the word about the bitcoin protocol. So guys, just spread the word. Nothing more. More miners mean more people interested, building stuff, even more awareness and so on...

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 01, 2015, 02:38:34 PM
^ I totally agree.

In fact, what i see is that bitcoin will go mainstream, get even more centralized and regulated (unfortunately), and hopefully monero will be at 1-5% of bitcoin's marketcap.

Please, let us not be like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIasr2AiyZ0

Small steps at a time...

Tsoutsounopaikth, liakopoulo's books and conspiracist's blogs isnt the only material that one should read.

I will urge you to read some material from the other side too. You will be amazed of what you can understand.

You make very big allegations that have answers for 1-3 centuries now and you refute to take the answers into account.

Although your name makes me think that you are probably just a troll. A successful one Tongue

I have the right to express my opinion publicly. Do you have a problem with that?

Oh you are taking my response in a negative way while it isnt but if you want this so be it. You have absolutely every right to ridicule yourself!

I know this topic has been covered before, but I'm asking the Monero community to please consider changing the name to something more descriptive of what the coin does.

Before people jump in with the "Esperanto" reply...I know about that, but only because I've been following this coin and other cryptonote coins. It's an interesting name. The problem is that >90% of people have no idea what Esperanto is, nor do they care.

A brand name is very important. How about something that describes what the coin does, such as:

  • PrivacyCash
  • PrivacyCoin
  • eCash
  • eCoin

Those names somewhat describe what the coin does and hint at its features. This is important if it expects adoption outside of the techie circles. I suggested the same points on the Fantomcoin thread. I have a handful of each coin.

I say this because I want to see cryptonote coins succeed. I think they are a valuable compliment to Bitcoin since they offer complete privacy whereas Bitcoin is pseudoanonymous. There are legitimate needs and uses for each. A more descriptive name would, imho, have a broader appeal to the general population.

Why dont we rename Monero to Darkcoin now that it is available just for the lols Tongue

99% of the shitcoins in this forum is doing exactly what you propose. I am glad that monero isnt. Monero as a name is perfect for many reasons and one of them is that it differentiates itself from the rest. Another is that by being in esperanto it is universal.

And i think that people on this forum know what monero does. If they dont it is our job to inform them with serious posts and infographics. In the end, i dont care for people who will choose a coin just because of the name.

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unveiling the truth over the major Monero hoax on: March 30, 2015, 12:38:38 AM

A wise person would stop wasting time, give up on byte coin, and just buy monero. 2$ a coin right now...

I guess that investment worked out real well for you.  Shocked

Maybe you should ask the self-moderating Monero pumpers and bumpers for a loan.

If he, like I did, kept buying it all the way down, he is much wealthier today than he was when he wrote that.  If he, like myself, will never sell a monero for less than he paid for it, I suspect he will do extremely well in the long run.

Tell that to all the latest, hapless, souls sucked into the current Monero self-moderated pump/dump which is currently goin down!

Please point me to the self-moderated thread you are talking about.

btw i hope it will! I am begging to see it back to 0.002 again! If it gets there i will send you some XMR which you can trade for BCN Wink
