Does around 200-220 H/s per card for a 750 Ti, both stratum and http protocols supported for pool mining. Haven't actually tested solo. Compiles and runs both on Linux and Windows pretty much straight out of the box. Linux highly recommeded over Windows. Has issues with massive lag if run on a Windows primary GPU, practically renders the computer unusable due to the hashing kernel grabbing the GPU for 1-2 seconds at a time. Pretty much what happens with every other algorithm, this is just orders of magnitude worse. Looking into breaking the kernel into smaller pieces to hopefully alleviate the problem. I dont have a card to test this but many many thanks! |

Monero added to Hitbtc voting. They've already started trading Doge because it won there. I just finished a late night overseeing the introduction of Monero on Mintpal. While anticipating the opening of trade at current market value, i.e. around 650k satoshis to 700k satoshis, it's still always interesting nonetheless to see how the market and traders will respond. Traders like a coin they can profit on. They're only partially concerned about the long term. Cryptos to them are a high turnover, short-term market and 'quick buck' to be made! After the inital opening of trade on Mintpal.com, however, the market response of Traders has been to pull the price down to levels where Traders can make some profits on it. In short, Monero is overvalued and too technical at the moment in my opinion. This is a technical Cryptocoin and Wallet system. It's not for mainstream use right now in its current form. If a Trader wants to hold on to some Monero during a trading lull and/or quickly wants to move it to another exchange, they are going to need to invest TIME in learning and working with the Monero command line wallet. This wallet requires manual command line creation and syncing setup steps before Monero can safely be moved to an offline wallet or moved to another exchange, or another wallet. I think goverbnments will eventually understand that banning crypto is impossible and they will even support coins with a transparant ledger. Monero and other anonymous coins will be used for illegal activities and by people who want to keep their finances hidden.
Essentially: monero could be the new "crypto anarchist coin" and bitcoin will be the "clean crypto coin".
Yep thats what i am thinking too. Bitcoin will be the well known well used one while monero will be the one supporting whatever is needed to buy-fund-trade anonymous. Not only illegal activities though. I want to fund every "wikileaks" and pay every "porn site" and donating to whoever i like without anyone knowing... |

So Rias if i understand correctly that means that not even botnets care about bytecoin because with the 80% premine there is nothing but constant dumping? You tend to forget also all the gpus starting mining now that darkcoin is dropping...More and more people starting learning about the coin... And yes some serious investors that could never invest 80k for a 80% premined coin...
Also Hexah i thought that bytecoin devs are anonymous. Meanwhile at least 4 of the main devs of monero arent as far as i know. This has been answered again many many pages before...
And finally, better in the wrong direction than 0 direction at all. Let us (community) choose which is the right direction. For now it seems the wrong direction was the 80% premine of BCN and the 0 community and updates for the alleged two years of existence...

Also, any ideas why everytime I open my bitmonerod.exe, even though I synced last night, it resyncs blocks from like 2 or 3 days ago everytime? I thought it would have updated the blockchain already which will be saved to my computer ?
