I love how you only ever insult your potential investors when they ask questions or give advice...it makes it so much easier to watch you fail Cheesy

Consider this some negative motivation to prove me wrong Wink ..best of luck to you, sron.
742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 14, 2013, 12:30:57 PM
well I ordered a BFL SC it added $114 tax on top of the 1299 but when I checked out it was not added is this a problem?

No, it's not a problem - it does that for everyone.

Not everyone. I haven't paid a tax on my orders, only $34 shipping. I've paid through both PayPal and Bitcoins...so maybe that makes a difference?
743  Economy / Securities / Re: Selling Shares on: February 14, 2013, 12:11:18 PM
Fixed it google doc's was being odd.

So I see.

Under the financials, I like how your projected total income for the year is $2.4 million. That's a bit ambitious...
I also seem to be missing the reason for a salary? Nor do I see where you distinctly mention Bitcoins or these 'shares'.

And as I go back through a second time...are you measuring everything in Bitcoins to begin with? I might have to look at it again after having some coffee, given it's 6:45am here..
744  Economy / Securities / Re: Selling Shares on: February 14, 2013, 12:34:43 AM
The main red flag here (as other things are really technicalities that don't really say much on if someone were to invest) is you come and ask 25000$ without having a very detailed report on the intent of those funds. As a financial entity you owe yourself and potential investors to know the exact amount you need and for exactly what. Of course a "cushion fund" is granted, but the whole lot can't be a cushion.

The financials and business plan are listed on the website.

Listed maybe, but not available.

Any chance we could get the front page list updated? Seems to be out of date by almost a month...

I know where all waiting on the edge of our seats, Time must be going really slowly for you, As 11 days is not a month.
I try and update when I have a few to put on, As one at a time it messy work, If people are not listing, I cant put them up.

Wait, what? When I wrote that the front page only had up to January 12th in orders posted. Happy to see it's updated now though Tongue

I didn't mean my statement to be rude or impatient either..I just wasn't sure about the update process (manual vs auto), and it was all while I was doing a bit of research into BFL preorders Smiley
747  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SDICE Passthru on: February 13, 2013, 01:59:45 PM
[...] recent inactivity on the part of the fund manager is intentional - he hasn't been on irc either. I imagine the likely explanation is person had some irl stuff to attend to

James is out of town this whole week. He'll be back on the 18th.
748  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 12, 2013, 09:26:13 PM
Yea, those poor poor first two month customers... [...] I guess we better give them a discount on future products, that will fix the error.

Yeah, we definitely don't deserve any discounts after waiting 8 months and sitting through 3 (or was it 4..) postponements Roll Eyes

And..
Josh has actually explained BFL's reasoning on doing it this way.  Essentially, it's that the people who ordered in the first two months are being compensated for not having their units before the block reward halved.  He maintains that customers who ordered later will be no more disadvantaged than they would have been had BFL delivered on time (because the block reward would have halved by the time they got their units and difficulty would have increased after the shipping of the first batch of orders anyway).

This.

I was typing this up as well, but it seems Repentance stated it better than I could Cheesy
749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL: Chips have shipped, on their way to US on: February 12, 2013, 09:10:33 PM
@CreativeX - you've been here long enough to know that this is how you're supposed to argue on the forums, don't 'cha know! Wink

I do know...I just refuse to conform. Cheesy Now if you'll excuse me I have an afternoon of ripping tags off pillows planned.

Good plan. I've been working on the mattress tags Cheesy

I do not believe a situation where one company has a monopoly would be good for BTC or me personally.

I completely agree. Was there ever a situation when a monopoly was good for a community or society (besides winning the board game, of course Cheesy)? Competition has a habit of driving innovation and lower costs.
750  Economy / Securities / Re: Selling Shares on: February 12, 2013, 08:49:42 PM
My name is Daniel, its on the company info.
Bitcoin key's is my business that will now be combined into Bitcoin Financial that means we hold over 100 registered and verified members already.

Why masquerade as Bitcoin-Financial instead of BitcoinINV?
751  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 12, 2013, 08:07:44 PM
And for the record, "sub-nm ASIC" is not a technical term, it is the most laymen friendly term used in the semiconductor industry. [...] sub-nm is anything below 100 nanometers.

subnanometer

752  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SDICE Passthru on: February 12, 2013, 08:03:12 PM
Yet another dood that knows better than the experts. You'll blow a hole in your own skull with that shotgun you think you know how to work, sparky.

Ha! Oh MPOE, it looks like you may need to go back and look up the definition of the word Experts. I can always count on you for a good laugh Smiley

I've noticed you seem to be on a "sparky" kick lately as well. Wink
753  Economy / Securities / Re: Selling Shares on: February 12, 2013, 07:14:38 PM
You realize you've told us absolutely nothing about yourself or your business, right? You come out of the newbie section and immediately ask us to invest 250 bitcoins with you...might I say we're bound to be a bit skeptical?
754  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] SDICE Passthru on: February 12, 2013, 06:48:03 PM
Yeah - I thought it was obvious why people dont use MPEX. 30 coins just for the privilege of using that POS? Yeah, no thanks.

Pretty much. I was going to join ages ago, but then I realized that I'd only be trading, what, 3 securities? Talk about diversification  Roll Eyes ..not to mention it looks like a child developed it after reading "HTML for Dummies".

Definitely not worth it unless you're looking to put thousands of bitcoins into one stock without wanting passthroughs to take a cut. The provided security of GPG is also a plus..until another more professional exchange comes along and implements the same thing. Mix that with, oh I don't know, 4 securities to trade and *poof* MPEx is obsolete.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should i allocate 100% of my savings to bitcoin ? on: February 12, 2013, 04:30:09 PM
Since this thread started Bitcoin has seen a what, 50% ROI? I wonder what the OP did?

what goes up, must come ... you can finish the sentence.

i tried to resist saying this because i get flamed.. but we are reaching bubble territory again.
almost daily percentage gains is just not normal.

Precisely. We're waaayyy above normal in terms of % increase per day/week...and I'm sure there are whales out there getting ready to dump into the market. Seems like a good time since we haven't seen this price in almost 2 years.
756  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The ASIC's are all scams, you just don't know it yet on: February 12, 2013, 02:29:48 PM
OP have made a few very good points. I too find the claimed specs rather ambitious.
[...]
This will prove that BFLs and Avalons did it against all odds.

I've seen a number of posts that reflect this mindset, and it's a bit odd. You guys realize it's just a custom made computer chip, right? It's not really a hard thing to make these days. Why are the "claimed specs" so ambitious?

757  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASICs selloff on: February 12, 2013, 02:20:20 PM
Do you think that if to many ASICs will hit the market and average it will refund itself after 4 years of constant mining, it will cause ASICs price drop down?

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: The average miner doesn't like waiting longer than 12 months for a return. Either the price per BTC increases to compensate (or people stop mining and the difficulty decreases), or people just sell off their equipment for a quick buck.
758  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Vote: Do you think Butterfly Labs will deliver their ASICs this month? on: February 12, 2013, 02:17:10 PM
Woah!, Someone bet 500btc that they will deliver!, I smell a BFL employees bet!

On BitBet? That was a while ago...I'd have more confidence if the bet was made this week or something Tongue ..not to mention there's just as much betting "no" Sad
759  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 11, 2013, 11:21:47 PM
Having done lots of sub-nm ASIC designs

You know how to develop tech in picometers? If you patent that, you could probably license it to Intel and AMD for billions of dollars...
760  Economy / Securities / Re: I sure do miss the GLBSE on: February 11, 2013, 09:40:03 PM
Everyone always seems to forget about Havelock -- https://www.havelockinvestments.com

Maybe because it's quite a bit harder to list there than other exchanges?
