Announcement: within 1-3 days I will release new version with about x1.5 speedup for all cards. Be ready Smiley

what about power consumstion?its still the same?or become as script?

It will be the same.

v7.0 is available:

- Improved speed by 5-15% (depends on card type). Up to 4.2 CPD on 290X.
- Reduced number of invalid shares.
- Faster estimation of CPD value.
- Improved stability for high "-hc" values, 1024 by default for 290/290X.

Next version will be a major update with much better mining speed.
2144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: May 06, 2014, 04:38:42 PM
Claymore, are you going to speed things up more?

Yes, of course! Smiley
2145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: May 06, 2014, 03:51:24 PM
CPD is "Chains Per Day", for Diff 10.xxx only chains 10 and higher are valid for CPD calculation.
Average CPD is calculated as "number of 10+ chains found per hour" * 24. So if you found 0 10chains average CPD is 0. If you find 1 10chain in first hour of mining Average CPD will be 24 and will decrease smoothly, in an hour it will be 12 and so on, it will decrease until you find another 10chain.
To get correct Average CPD value you need to mine at least for several days, therefore you can use "Estimated CPD" value that is calculated from lower chains. When you mine for many days Estimated and Average CPD will be similar, ideally they will be the same. But, in fact, you will see different values since you need to find a lot of 10 chains to see correct statistics, it takes a lot of time.
To quickly check miner performace you can use 4ch/h value.

hello everyone

Claymore thank u for the awesome Miner Smiley

So i don't know if I'm the only one who have this problem !!
every time i run the tool my drive crash had to run Cgminer or sgminer etc for like 5m then run the tool then get it to work ... Solo or Ypool same thing.
i found no other way to fix this problem i even refresh windows. windows 8 and 8.1 nothing
Catalyst 13.12 SDK 2.9
3x 280x Toxic

PS i run it one by one crash at the first run in Les then 30 sec .

Have you read readme file? Does "-hc 256" help?
2147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: May 03, 2014, 02:57:49 PM
Which settings one should adjust to decrease effectiveness of mining but to be able to comfortable desctop work at the GPU connected to monitor while mining?
I mean - sacrifice a bit mining and decrease lags while working at the PC (similar to intensity in cgminer)

Try "-hc 256" and/or "-t 2".

seems it dosent support farming in local network)

Google is useful sometimes:  https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin

...
 # By default, only RPC connections from localhost are allowed.  Specify
 # as many rpcallowip= settings as you like to allow connections from
 # other hosts (and you may use * as a wildcard character).
 # NOTE: opening up the RPC port to hosts outside your local
 # trusted network is NOT RECOMMENDED, because the rpcpassword
 # is transmitted over the network unencrypted.
 #rpcallowip=10.1.1.34
 #rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
...

Probably rpcallowip=* will work for you.

Version 6.0 is available. +20% speed for all cards. Up to 3.6 CPD on a single 290X.

Hello guys! I'm new to xpm gpu mining and haven't read the whole thread yet, as I understood by this moment - this miner uses gpu memory somehow, right?
Is it worth it to drop/decrease gpu memory frequency?
Or just better to stay at default core/memory numbers and undervolt the core as possible for stable work?

May be this questions already has been asked, I promise I'll finish the threads reading)

Both memory and core clocks are important. But don't overclock too much, XPM miner uses complex algorithms so your cards may work with scrypt but fail with XPM at same clocks.
2152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: May 01, 2014, 11:07:33 AM
New version with good speedup will be available in 1-2 days.
2153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: April 28, 2014, 08:24:27 PM
What does TRT mean?
The reason I ask is I tried using Primecoin GPU miner with my 7950 and received a value of 200 vs 400 from claymore, but I get the same amount of CPD for both miners around 1.3 CPD. For now I am sticking with claymore since I can use multiple machines and point them to one wallet for mining. Any insight is appreciated.

Check "readme" file:

...
Press "m" to see a performance counter, total round time (TRT). Don't compare this value to other miners,
this value is not related to any other numbers of different miners.
...

and so on. Btw, "Readme" has a lot of useful information Smiley

Claymore, can you modify this miner to work it for RIC GPU mining somehow ?

I was mining it with my 8x i5 CPUs while mining scrypts on the same systems with GPUs
But since your miner needs some resources from Processors also (30-35% from my i5 CPUs with 3x 290 cards on each of them) I stopped mining RIC.

No, RIC uses much larger numbers so it won't work there with decent speed.

Version 5.0 is available:

- Improved speed by 10% for 290/290X, for other cards less. Up to 3.0 CPD on 290X.
- Added "-ss 0" option.
- Added "-nofee" option for solo miner.

indeed improvement for my 290s.

we're all looking for 280x improvements aswell! Smiley gj

Ok, just wait for next update Smiley

Version 5.0 is available:

- Improved speed by 10% for 290/290X, for other cards less. Up to 3.0 CPD on 290X.
- Added "-ss 0" option.

Any plan to add -nofee option(but low power) in SOLO version?Weather's getting hot Cry

v4.0 is available:

- Improved speed by about 15-25% (depends on card) on 7xxx, 270(x), 280X cards.
- Improved speed by about 10% on 290(X) cards. For 290X CPD is about 2.6-2.7 now.

Decreasing GPU clocks and/or undervolting is more efficient, but yes, I will add this option in next version.

3. There are not modified drivers that support 6 cards or more at this moment.

I check all new versions, as soon as AMD releases good version or I find any real improvement in some existing version I will migrate to it.
Could you direct me how to install 6 vga?
I did it for 2 rig. I use win8.1 and cat13.12. Third rig I can't make it work with 6 vga.

The official final version of AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL is out

Claymore?

I tried v14.3 and v14.4 and I don't like these versions:
1. Not faster in general, sometimes even slower.
2. New bugs in OpenCL.
3. There are not modified drivers that support 6 cards or more at this moment.

I check all new versions, as soon as AMD releases good version or I find any real improvement in some existing version I will migrate to it.

280X   144k -> 156k 4ch & TRT 308  +8%
7950   109k -> 120k 4ch & TRT 396  +10%
270X    72k ->   97k 4ch & TRT 490  +34%
7850    52k ->   70k 4ch & TRT 670  +34%

do you overclock you 280xs? i get with 4.0 335TRT and 130k+-

Claymore good job but u think you can get some more juice out of it? improved mine from 350 to 335.

Yes but not today Smiley
