Any advice how to keep my 290 stay under 75 c ?

i run at stock clock but they go to 79-82 fan at 90

how to lower the intensity?

I will add "intensity" option soon, working on it.

v11.0 is available:

- Improved speed by about 25-30% for all cards. Up to 12.0 CPD on non-overclocked 290X.

hey claymore, thanks for the update it works great but in one of my rigs 6x280x after 1 minute GPU0 stops mining. -m doesn't show his stats and he doesn't get any shares after 1 minute.
i get 40cpd with 5x280x i guess. the wierd thing is Afterburner shows gpu usage on GPU0 and all other gpus

Cards overclocked? Catalyst 13.12?

About the memory situation I could test 6 cards this weekend and this is what I've got from them:

3 Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x (Hynix memory) = 1450 H/s
3 Sapphire Dual-X R9 280x (Elpida memory) = 1120 H/s

Claymore miner 4.0 and Catalyst 13.12

Wrong thread, this thread is only to discuss dev fee and for insults  Grin

first pool have break the ice as blocking fees for showing it can be done.
it is now only matter of time other pools to ban the fee, permanenty
you will soon see first good pool blocking fees rising with their hashrates to the roof.
whos pool will it be?

I can stop mantaining my miners and don't release new ones, the only reason I do this job is dev fee.
It seems you would prefer not to have CryptoNote AMD GPU miner at all, it's up to you. The only reason you have it is dev fee.
There is another solution - create private miner and mine coins on a lot of aws servers, get 30-50% of ALL coins. You know this way works for BBR.
Is it better than my approach? I can do similar thing, but I don't like it and I'm not going to do it, that's what I call unfair. IMO, dev fee is much better.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.0 on: June 30, 2014, 09:20:10 AM
I've done several speed optimizations, I believe four, in a day. And yeah, it sucks that nobody donates, so I'm not bitching about his fee. I'm saying, he posted this on June 4th. Today is the 30th. Do you really, REALLY think that $100,000+ USD is fair compensation - even if he was working, say, 8h/day minus weekends?

1. Do you really think that I earned 100K$ on this miner? Smiley I got in many times less. Anyway, it is good but not huge amount for me, I have a good experience in some areas and my hour rate is expensive. You can confirm my experience easily. It seems you are good developer - create faster AMD miner (or with same speed) and I will reduce/remove dev fee, competition is the most natural way of regulation. But of course talking/calculation about my fee is a lot easier than making miner-competitor.
2. Do you really think that I created this miner on June 4th, within one day? Smiley

v11 is ready, I'm finishing testing, so it will be available for downloading within 24 hours. It still requires Catalyst 13.12, I tried 14.6, but it is a bit slower.

Will some linux bins be available? thks  Smiley

No, sorry, only Windows x64 is supported. May be later, but right now I'm too busy, also I don't like Linux Smiley

Can we try puttin the DLL of the 13.12 drivers on the folder like the XMR miner?

The best solution is to install 13.12, adding files from 13.12 does not work in some cases. But you can try if it works for you.

Claymore, it looks like you are underestimating CPD. With over 600 blocks mined the deviation should be in a 5% range (√600/600 - right?). The difference between estimated and actual is more like 25%.

650 hours is about 39K blocks (Primecoin creates new block every minute), 27 days is a very good time to collect stats, your accuracy is much better than 5%.

I've almost finished v11 with good speedup for all cards.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.0 on: June 27, 2014, 03:00:48 PM
Doesn't work for me
EDIT: The 1.7mb version works but the 1.6mb version doesn't

1. What Catalyst version do you use?
2. What if set "-di 01", i.e remove Cypress?
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.0 on: June 27, 2014, 02:50:29 PM
v4.0 is available:

- Improved mining speed by 2-4% for weak/old cards.
- Two builds: for Catalyst 13.12 and for Catalyst 14.6.
- Added "-a" option to select mining mode.
- Added warning message if some GPU thread hangs (use "-wd 1" to close miner automatically).
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.4 on: June 27, 2014, 02:49:54 PM
...just 5-10% and it won't show anything about it....
That's it. That is all I could not understand why I did not agree to the numbers and sent the miner shars to dev. Constantly left more 7% instead of the declared 5. Dev what else hid in the miner?

Check this thread, explained a few times. For example:

1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.4 on: June 27, 2014, 12:17:27 PM
1. I have enough experience in such games. Miner will work with your proxy, but it will cheat too, in several hours it will start to eat some shares, just 5-10% and it won't show anything about it. You can bypass detection of your proxy in miner in your new version but you will have to spend a lot of time to confirm that it works. And prove it to your customers. Since you have to have public "trial" version I will notice it and new version of miner will detect your miner again, and so on. Have fun Smiley
2. There are at least two other ways to disable dev fee, both are not too complex, so if some people really wants it I'm sure they have done it already without your "commercial software". Good luck in your business...
1956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.4 on: June 27, 2014, 09:11:41 AM
Hi, can anyone help me please? I cannot get it to start... my .bat file says:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o mcn-qcn.pool.minergate.com:5567 –u myemailaddress@yahoo.com -p x

but all I'm getting is this errormessage in the log: "Missed required command line options!"

What am I missing? :-l

You use long defis before "u" for some reason, compare your "–u" and required "-u". I have no idea how you could type long defis instead of normal one, please let me know Smiley
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.4 on: June 27, 2014, 07:44:03 AM
I detect this "software" easily and can improve detection in every new version, so I don't recommend to use it Wink

7950 on win 7 64 bit 14.4 - 258 h\s
7950 on win 7 64 bit with 13.12 ocl's in folder - 458 h\s

But for 3 R9 290 it's not working.

I will check it in details today, if I cannot find workaround I will release two versions for 13.12 and for 14.6.
