v2.2 is available:

- Fixed bugs.

Thanks for the updated miner, is there a way to swap back to the primary pool once it becomes active again?

I can add option to disconnect from current pool and try to connect to first pool in the list every hour.

What algoritm of work?
Let say in pools.txt 2 string:
stratum+tcp://pool2:666
stratum+tcp://pool3:666
In command line -o argument:
stratum+tcp://pool1:666
So miner start mine on pool1, if recive error switch to pool2, then pool3, then pool1, pool2, pool3... Or it will be switch only between pools in pools.txt file? pool2, pool3, pool2, pool3...

Disable internet connection and test Smiley total list of pools is "-o" address + pools.txt. You can omit "-o" at all now.

Probable reason is:

Currently there are a lot of problems with most of pools.
2026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN Windows CPU Miner v2.1 on: June 16, 2014, 05:44:43 PM
v2.1 is available:

- Reduced number of outdated shares that miner sends to pool.
- Added fail-over feature, "pools.txt" file.
- Added watchdog for pool, if no new jobs are received for 20 minutes - disconnect.
- Added "-ee" option to close miner if no more pools are available in the list.
clay can you give an example of .bat file  to switch pools?thnx

No changes in .bat, just put additional pools into "pools.txt" file.

Fail-over feature will be added within 24 hours for both GPU and CPU miners.

Claymore, your miner stops functioning when your dev pool is down. Can you find a solution to this please? Maybe mine on the same pool as the user specified but with your address?

There is no "my dev pool", you specify the pool and only this pool is used. I see moneropool.org is not available atm, just use some different pool.

Hello,

Version 2.0 is total unusable for my sapphire 280x, driver is crashed after 3 minutes work.
Second vga, asus is working well.
I guess that Sapphire is with elpida, asus is with hynix memory.
I have found it when make two cmd with option -di 0, second cmd -di 1.
Always crashed instance with sapphire vga.

Other question: why is need to put the page file 16g + ?
What is dependence between RAM and page file (virtual memory is page file), even the RAM is free up to 70 % for 4G installed memory?
I cannot see any operations with page file when miner is working.

One more thing: your miner is with closed source (this is understandable because of your profit have guarantee), so please try to compile Linux binaries.

Thanks in advance.

Page file is required to make AMD OpenCL driver happy. Memory is not used but it is required for some reason when miner allocates 2-3 GB of GPU RAM for every card. And anyway it is unstable on a few percents of systems for some reason, I don't have any solution for now.
Linux version will available later, right now I have to postpone it.

What does this mean  :

DevFee: 06/15/14-10:06:37 - SHARE FOUND (target 1941) - (THR 1)
06/15/14-10:08:05 - SHARE FOUND (target 20000) - (THR 1)
06/15/14-10:08:16 - SHARE FOUND (target 20000) - (THR 2)
06/15/14-10:08:17 - SHARE FOUND (target 20000) - (THR 1)
DevFee: 06/15/14-10:09:39 - SHARE FOUND (target 1941) - (THR 0)
06/15/14-10:10:42 - SHARE FOUND (target 20000) - (THR 3)
DevFee: 06/15/14-10:11:33 - SHARE FOUND (target 1941) - (THR 0)

Especially the DeVFee and target 1941 part, cause the miner changed to this output  from first started after a while.

DevFee - means that this share was found by thread that handles 5% developer fee. Target is the share value that is defined by pool (lower target - cheaper share), most pools adjust target to achieve some average speed of shares, too low target will cause a lot of cheap shares and pool overload, too high target will cause you can search for a share for a long time. Since developer fee is handled by separate thread and it has only 5% of total power, pool sets much less target for it, as result you will see "dev fee" shares more than 5% of total shares but these shares are cheaper than main shares (in your example 1941 and 20000 so dev fee shares are >10 times cheaper than main shares).

v2.0 is available:

- Improved mining speed by about 12% for all cards.
- Added Aeon and Duck coins.
- Fixed some bugs.

Seems most of the problems are happening with Windows 8 x64?

Yes, Windows 8 is a problem, I will check it soon.

@ Claymore

Any advice how to get more hash out of the Core i7 920? Or the below is pretty much it...

I dl-ed the 2.0 miner. Ran it as admin, made a .bat file with -t 7 command (8 threaded CPU, 4 cores and 8 MB of L2 cache, no L3; 6GB of RAM; Win7 x 64 with UAC turned off) and got 65-66 H/s which is lower than cpumulti gives...

Though it works fine, stable.
Thanks for the work you've done with the miners!

It must show "fast mode enabled". What h/s cpumulti gives?

It does show. cpumulti shows 75 H/s...

That's strange. But I don't have this CPU here to see the reason, so if cpumulti works better use it instead.

There is no "-p x" option in my command line and i receive this error. If i ADD this option - miner work correct.

Ok I'll add checking for missed "-p" to avoid such problem.
