if we do not use -cclock, will it use the existing clock such as 720MHz, instead of the default 1000MHz for 7970?
Yes. If it is not clear, it seems I need to change "If not specified or zero, default clock speed is used" to "If not specified or zero, miner will not change current clock speed" in readme.

v9.3 is available (this update is for Windows only for now):
- Added GPU overclocking support.
Thanks for the good work and the new version of Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.3! Can you give more details on this update and in particular what it means - Added GPU overclocking support? So far I mining Мonero /XMR/ previous version with overclocked cards and again there was no problem. Otherwise released a new version, but did not find a higher performance than the previous version! Thank You! 1. Check "Readme!!!.txt" file, -cclock and -mclock options. 2. I did not mention about higher performance for this update. It is the same.

Where is the 32bit??? I just downloaded the 64bit but my computer is not support it From "Readme!!!.txt": ... This version is for Windows x64 and Linux x64 only. No 32-bit support. ... Is that possible to make a 32-bit support version? I really want to start mining I will not do it, sorry.

04/09/15-15:43:18 - SHARE FOUND (target 5000) - (GPU 0 of 1) WATCHDOG: Thread 1 hangs in OpenCL call, you need to restart miner WATCHDOG: GPU memory error, you need to restart miner Restarting OK, exit... I get that error on Thread 0 or 1 on a single 7950 every few minutes. Driver 13.12 Can anyone help to solve this? TIA TROUBLESHOOTING 1. Install Catalyst v13.12. 2. Disable overclocking. 3. Set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100. 4. Set Virtual Memory 16 GB. 5. Reboot computer. If it does not help, the only option is to add more RAM.

I would hazard a guess that internally, it uses one of four OpenCL implementations based on the number you pass to the a switch. Since the AMD OpenCL compiler seems to be getting (slowly) less stupid, it's probable that Claymore has code in the OpenCL kernels specific to bugs in older drivers, that cause it not to work with 15.3.
Yes miner uses several kernels that are optimized for different cards. The problem is that I use some optimizations that are not allowed directly in OpenCL. They work properly on some driver versions and don't work on others. I will release an update soon that supports overclocking and then will check 15.x drivers.

initialization 290 GPU program only sees 3GB. actual card with 4 GB. So it should be or is it some kind of problem?
It's ok.

Are mined now Monero on Claymore GPU Miner 9.2 beta. So it is not clear how to set the frequency. One rig working 947-1250, and the second 1100-1250 (based on CPU info). Accordingly, various profits. Which team is responsible for setting the frequency? -gpu-engine 1000 -gpu-memclock 1500 - the program gives that does not know the command.
Miner does not support overclocking. You can use MSI AfterBurner for that. Or "GPUs Control Utility v1.1" that you can download by link in OP of this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=693680.0

Any idea what could be causing this:

Try to set at least 16 GB of Virtual Memory: Computer Properties / Advanced System Settings / Performance / Advanced / Virtual Memory
5x 290 rig, I have virtual memory set to 16GB, no overclock, I've actually set memory down to 1250 from stock 1300.
Thanks.
Edit: using 13.12 drivers with 9.2 13.12.
Try to increase size of physical RAM, for 4 290 cards at least 4GB is necessary, 5 cards may require even more. You can also try to increase size of virtual memory.

Ran into another issue. Every few 20-30 mins or so I keep getting this
Any idea how to find out which thread 7 is?
Make sure you use v9.2. If so, GPU_id = Thread_id / 2. So it's GPU #3 (i.e. 4th card).

I added an old 6870 GPU to one of my Pitcarin rigs. And for some reason it keeps disconnecting from the pool and getting errors such as "Low Difficulty Share".
My 6990 doesn't have any issues and my R9 270X alone don't run into any of these issues.
Any ideas?
1. Make sure that you use Catalyst 14.6 or older. 2. Make sure that you use "-a 3" for 5xxx/6xxx cards. 3. For tests make sure that you don't overclock GPUs and PSU can handle all GPUs.

What are the li options? Just "1"? I would like to lower the intensity further as it seems to interfere with my 2d renders. I've tried "0" and "2" with no success. This is not clear at all. -li Low intensity mode. Specify "-li 1" if you don't want Windows to freeze. Any values that are not specified in readme file are not supported. Same for all options. So either don't specify "-li" option, or use "-li 1". Also both of these setting say Fastest for R9-270/x, which is it or are the equal? "-a 1" fastest mining mode for 290/290x and 270/270x cards. "-a 4" fastest mining for recent cards (280x, 270/270x etc). This is because for some cards some modes have very similar speed. no command (auto mode) == 472 - 473 h/s <<-- alot of variance so I cannot tell what mode was chosen
Miner always reports what mode was chosen, like this: "GPU #0: -a 1 mode selected".

Claymore: can you build v9.2 for Linux?
Not right now, but I will do it.

At one point I see this ...
It looks like time counter overflow, I can fix it easily, but to confirm it: How long does your system work without reboot? 53 days, I rebooted it. Now it is looks normally I use time counter that overflows after 49 days without reboot

At one point I see this win 8.1 cat 13.12 GPU Miner v13.0 6*280x before it was ok, about 53 ch/d WHF?

i cant mine with the normal or high performance mod or mine with slow mod.İ did what did you want from users so opened it as administrator and its closed 1,2 sec after opened what should ı do for correcting this ?
Start console (cmd.exe) and launch .bat for miner from it, this way you will see messages that miner shows before closing.
