yes I've also got 25 active connections just the red message next to the amount that says out of sync

12 connections. synchronized

How did you sync it? Many people including me are out of sync.

I checked my log... it is getting alot of connection timeouts. Seems like alot of nodes I used to connect to are down. It looks like it is trying to sync:

Does anyone know where the "Backup wallet goes?" In the other qt core based wallets you are given a dialog to name your backup and chose where to put it. Perhaps that just doesn't work in this wallet?

Is 1.5.0.0 the wallet everyone else has?

I got that version.

"Backup wallet"  you can find in the file menu, but it but it does not seem to work (V1.5.0.0).
You can backup your wallet manually: Find the wallet.dat file in your user profile (folder ShareCoin) and copy it to a safe place.

Yep, that's how I did it. Thanks.

Mine has been out of sync since day one. Let's see if the distribution fixes this.

Strange, I'm pretty sure when I first installed it it didn't say that. Loaded it again today and it does say that. I never created a conf file. Is that needed?

(BTW: According to the site people are starting to get ShareCoin)

The coin isnt technically released yet, People will have to wait till tomorrow most likely for when it is actually released, then coins will be sent to those people who have waited the allotted time. followed by all the others throughout the day getting paid. But i dont think distribution will start till tomorrow and only for those who's countdown timers have reached zero.

3.5 hours to go. According to the coundown timer the dev put in the thread recently.

ah cool that's something to look forward to, i was going off the fact most coins are set in american timezones for releases  and usually not at midnight .

why does it say distribution ends. shouldnt it be distribution starts.

Yea, I don't know. I think it means the signup to get distributions ends??!

I mine Sharecoin in multipool and I think all those who want to support it should do so as well.

I don't have an ASIC miner. So, I'm not sure I could be of much help in the pool. But, I do plan to just send some BTC to the pool to support ShareCoin. It's the least I can do.

Just checked, it is a scrypt pool. So I'll probably rent a minor for a day at betarigs and mine to the pool to help out. Probably better than sending BTC to the poll I guess???

Looks like the giveaway is about to start in a couple of hours. Hopefully my wallet will sync!

Yep... looks like according to the web site I've gotta wait 6 more days though. ;(

Also looks like bykardinal is first in line in 2.25 hours. Can't wait to get his report and his distribution number.

Did I read correctly that 100,000,000 is going to be divided by the 3000ish appliers? With the first 1000 getting an extra 10%?

Not all 3K because many of the accounts are clones. Probably around 1.5K

AH thanks. I thought the clones (clowns) had already been filtered out.

@BK_PHI,

I'm curious, how is PHI different from DGB? They use the same difficulty adjustment algorithm right? Is the only difference the stabilization fund?

I recently heard about PoS coins on anther thread, and started to google to find out more and found this thread. I am very interested.

I have a few questions, sorry if they are duplicated, but after 10 pages of fake accounts posting they are in (not even needed) I jumped to the end.

1. When I load the wallet is says at the bottom, "Mining suspended while wallet is locked". Does this mean to gain coins due to PoS I have to keep the wallet opened and unlocked 100% of the time?

2. I don't have a miner, but the directions say you can just spend bitcoin to the address you are given if you put your SC address into the web site. If I do that, how many additional ShareCoin will that garner. Is it 1 ShareCoin per Satashi?

3. Will the "shares" from the exchange only be for the people mining BTC in the multi-pool? Or, would that be for all ShareCoin holders?

Thanks in advance for answering these question. If they are repeats I'm happy with a link to the reply. I look forward to your launch.

I will not mine scrypt coin anymore if it is not pos.

What is pos and what are the ramifications to mining it?

It is Proof-of-Stake. It is basically interest on cryptocurrencies as another way for coins to be created. Basically, if you hold coins, you can "mint" new coins to gain a certain additional amount to the holdings you already have. Currently, the most popular POS coin is Blackcoin. It had a short mining period and is now completely POS.

Thanks.

no c /r or anything bro.. its just simple you have to make .conf file putting all nodes on notepad saving a file called Nautiluscoin.conf as a file name then place it in your roaming /Nautiluscoin folder.. If you think you cant get it working anymore i cud help you if you give me teamviewer access to your computer.

Phew... got it working today after sleeping on it. I figured out the problem. Somewhat self-inflicted.

I didn't use the default data directory path. Even though the cli was updating the conf in the Roaming\Nautliscoin folder, the .conf actually needed to be in the data folder I specified. I figured this out by uninstalling, deleting everything and using the default folder and it worked. So, started from scratch again, put the .conf in the data path I specified, and viola!

Thanks guys for your help. I posted this here too in case anyone else used the non-default path for data they will know the conf file has to go in that path.

the case here is that, it's not that he doesn't want to pay, he just don't have money to do it...

but anyway the were big big withdrawals, 7, 8BTC at a time that he took for himself saying that it was a multi adress wallet.
the system could be turning just fine if it wasn't for that.

now, if you wanna get payed, you have to invest

Actually, if I want to get paid, others have to invest.

Please just ignore China.

Or even better: CEO of Bitcoin Officially Bans China
http://www.coindesk.com/ceo-bitcoin-officially-bans-china/

But too bad, it was made on 1 Apr. Smiley

HA HA! Funny. Although, I'm not sure I approve of this joke. Many people who are new to Bitcoin of just hearing about it have no idea there is no "CEO of Bitcoin, etc." I'm not sure what the market did on Apr 1 though and I'm too lazy to go look at the charts for that day.
