1741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - The only coin backed up by a real bussiness on: May 29, 2014, 02:16:18 PM
I can't find where it is clearly stated that there will always be a max 100,000,000 of ShareCoins. Can anyone confirm that 100M is the max.?

No, there are already more than that. The PoS increases the coin count by 30% year one, 20% year two, etc until year 5 where it grows by 1% per year.

Little birdie said we can expect Alias Transfer + DGS + fee lowered to 0.1 implemented in the next release? Can anyone confirm? Wink

What's DGS?

Anon,

I'm curious if you've seen http://www.nofiatcoin.com/ ?

Yay!!!  Grin

I would like to know if there is anyone working on this?Huh??:

I know it is almost impossible but if we could do something for the Payexpo in london, we could jump high.

Thanks.

I've emailed Riccardo. But iNxt does not send SMS, and you can't transfer NXT from your NXT acc with it. It's not relevant for PayExpo.

Nevertheless, we need a quality iPhone + Android app. Design is here. Is anybody willing to do it?

Umm I think it is important, I know it is difficult, but if we could go to the EXPO with Wesleyh's and Android's corporate design, and TXT, it would be a WIN-WINĦĦĦĦĦĦ

I didn't mean to drown you with that last post!  Smiley

Design is (almost) here, and we got 14 days! But coders are under pressure. Is anyone up for an Android quickie?

Apple will not allow Crypto currency wallets. (they want to create their own payment system). So, for iOS it will have to be a web app type wallet. Or you'd have to go Cydia. However, if you want NXT to be mainstream that's not gonna help.

Thanks for the FAQ. Item 8 resolved my issue. It's a nice feature that you can recover from a seed, meaning this is basically a deterministic wallet.

I assume this is on the "to fix" list? Is the wallet file getting corrupted somehow?

Sorry I was deleting them manually from the big msg and got them mixed up  Shocked

and looks like I may have mistakenly thought pilotofbtc said it, sorry about that (thats an apology to you as well pilotofbtc)

PilotofBTC do you fly planes in real life?

Yes, I am a private pilot. But, due to the high cost of the hobby, I haven't been flying in many years.
1747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 28, 2014, 08:18:29 PM
Didn't need to bother. The wallet I was using, I think it is the Wesley wallet had a minimize to Tray option. While it is running in the tray I can just access it from a book mark in my browser. So, that was good enough for me.

Why the past tense? What are you using now?

I said "was" because I was talking about previous post/investigation (past tense). I still do use that wallet.
1748  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 28, 2014, 08:16:46 PM
You are wrong for starters, if you buy and sell a stock you do not always get dividends and gains, dividends only get paid if you own the stock on a particular day, and gains are only made if you sell at a higher prices (Long), buy at a lower price (Short).

Nothing you said here makes anything I said "wrong". Have a nice day.
1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 28, 2014, 07:53:21 PM
@PilotofBTC

Ah, now I see. You want a Windows service installed. Puhh. Not sure if that is done fast.

You can definitely use the NRS as a service but I have no idea how to register a Windows service + submitting the necessary private keys (if many).

Right, sort of like the Plex Media Server. It has a web based UI and the service runs on a localhost port to provide the UI.

I'll look at the NRS. I think you can make pretty much any .exe a service with svrany, as long as it doesn't provide a UI. I would look into modifying the code to do this, run as a service, or at least in the background with a tray icon, but I think everything is written in Java which I am not that familiar with. I'm a .net guy.

Success on that issue?

Didn't need to bother. The wallet I was using, I think it is the Wesley wallet had a minimize to Tray option. While it is running in the tray I can just access it from a book mark in my browser. So, that was good enough for me.
1750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 28, 2014, 07:49:52 PM
I hate to say it guys, but the price is going to drop a whole lot more before it gets better. I predict the price will drop to 0.00005 btc/naut based on the multipool profitability index. I have about 10000 nautiluscoins and am betting on the long term viability of this currency.

Not if BK transitions to PoS "very soon" as he wrote a few pages back.

I missed that. Last I recall he said, "considering" moving to PoS in the future. But, I read a lot of messages on many fora.

Nautilus under 10K Sat....time fore the coins to go to cold storage....It's a sad day for NAUTILUSCOIN  Angry Angry Angry

Loosing 20% a day will bring us to 5K Sat real soon....I love this stabilization fund

You realize the stabilization fund is not designed to, nor can it keep the price from moving, right?
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 28, 2014, 06:31:22 PM
Hey guys,
I'm Zip from ShareXcoin.
Looks like Nxt will be tomorrow's winner Smiley
Our team is working on a warpper around Nxt to ensure smooth deposits and withdrawals.
Will update you guys with more info soon.

Looks like ShopCoin just threw a bunch of BTC at the vote and are number 1. I hope you still implement NXT as well! I think it will bring a large amount of volume based on all the problems people are having with BTER (fees) and Cryptsy (withdrawls not works). I want to buy XNT but don't want to do it at either of those exchanges.
1753  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 28, 2014, 03:40:12 PM
or said another way USD is irrelevant when working out profit from mining @PBmining

if you are so focused on  the BTC/USD going up,  you should buy and hold not mine  Smiley

thats all I'm going to say on this topic

Not really true. When you buy a stock you make money two ways, with a dividend and with gains. You return is a combination of both.

Same is true with BTC. Since I am technically buying with USD, since that is how I got the BTC the return from PBMining is a combination of the dividend (the BTC I am paid) and the gains (the USD price of BTC). Most miners are hoping for the price of BTC to increase, because then their return is much better.

Ignoring the buying power (value) of BTC in the calculations isn't sound. Of course, you can't know what the value of BTC is at any time other than right now.

If you buy a stock and then sell it, you get dividend and gains. If the price falls after you buy it, then not.

Absolutely, it's all paper gains until your realize them. The same is true for BTC. It's all paper gains until you sell or spend them.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 28, 2014, 03:38:41 PM
there were points over 1000 difficulty, but the network volume supported it.

its currently fluctuating between 120 diff and 350 with a network volume of between 2.5Gh/s and 5Gh/s.

unless you want 5 minute block average at best this does not equate.

the stuck blocks have nothing to do with my pool specifically.. they are network blocks that are not solved, or passed for hours at a time and they happen multiple times a day with NAUT.

There is no doubt there is a flaw in the difficulty re-targeting. The blocks should take 1 minute based on the coin specs no matter the net has rate. Digishield isn't supposed to slow down the blocks.

The slow block time will hurt the coin since one of it's selling points is fast confirms.

Do you believe a fork will be necessary to resolve this? I would personally kind of expect so, especially if there's plans for proof of stake.

Even though I'm a developer, I haven't really dug into any of the BTC or spinnoff code. So, I'm not sure if a fork is needed. But, I assume something would need to be done to reject miners prior to version=<X. A fork to me implies the blockchain will change. Maybe that is needed.

Zip,

Did you change the voting rules? I've been trying to get NXTer's to vote. But, last guy said he got an error his trading volume was too low.

I understand if you did, to root out the bots and fake accounts, but some heads up.

That said, looks like NXT will win today. I can wait to start trading NXT on ShareXCoin.
1756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 28, 2014, 03:11:58 PM
Everyone needs to vote for NXT on ShareXcoin! It's very important that we get an another exchange!

https://sharexcoin.com/votings

Thank you!
DONE

"Your trading volume is not large enough to vote yet" for me

Hmm... I wonder if he changed the voting rules. He has taken several coins off the vote list due to cheating. I assume people were using bot's to create accounts and vote.

But, we are number 1 on the list... so barring any crazy BTC votes by someone NXT should be the "next" coin listed.

I hope he can get it implemented. He did very well with Qora, not using their wallet and watching the block chain directly.

I see the biggest hurtle with NXT being that you can have a single wallet with multiple addresses. So, he will have to write some way to generate ID's for each user's deposit. But, I have faith he can do it!
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: May 28, 2014, 03:06:58 PM
Qora alone is working as a hell of a team, let's do our best for the project. Stop complaining, start doing.
Couldn't agree more

It seems some people are confusing questioning with complaining.

Yeah there are some people who are just genuinely questioning.

You however were fucking complaining.

Please point to my post where I was personally complaining.

Sorry I confused you with Secondleo

No worries. This coin is exciting. So, I think people (me) are more curious than anything else. But, I'm also much more patient than most people on these forums. I missed the IPO, so I'll probably just buy 1m or so at ShareXCoin and see how it goes. Alt coins are so much fun to play with. Wink
